I have never read anything from Addison Cain, but I will most definitely be reading the next book in the series, particularly because Sigil is also included there. This dark story set in the future is a race to find the last remaining female who is Sigil. The characters are well developed, the descriptions are graphic but the book is not a difficult read. Instead, the story requires the darkness and eroticism. It's not just eye candy.

I received an advance reader copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

If you haven't read Addison Cain prior to reading tghis book, I have to warn you that this author writes their own worlds. (Yes, worlds as in plural)
With that being said, I liked the story overall, but sometimes it was a bit busy with keeping track of what everyone was doing. But primarily, I liked Addison's writing style, erotic scenes were not grotesque (to me?), and I need the next book!??

Wow- nothing like I expected, but seriously a great read. This was my first expierence with reading Addison Cain's work. It's complex, detailed, dark and disturbing. Quinn/Sigil is a superbly written kick-ass heroine. The world created by Cain is fantastic and frightening. This book is not for the faint of heart, violence and sex is abundant. I read this book as an arc and thoroughly enjoyed it. I look forward to reading to reading more from this author.

Sigil is not your average female character. She was trained and tortured since birth to kill the Sovereign, the emperor. She is a psychopath. She kills whoever is in her path to her sense of peace. Sovereign finds her after a century of searching but not to kill her but to love her, the way he knows how. I don't usually read dark romances but I decided to give this a try. The world this book is set in was hard to picture and understand for me until probably midway through but it was very well written.

This is a complicated story of political intrigue revolving around Sigil, who has been hiding on an alien space station with the alien Que, under a new identity. She is the last remaining female of her kind, created for one sole purpose and pursued by Sovereign to fulfill her destiny. As a child she was trained for blood lust and killing and only joining with Sovereign releases her from that bloodlust. Unfortunately, she seems hell bent on killing the only person who can save her.

This book was a really fun read! Addison Cain does such a good job at world building, and she's so descriptive that you can see this world she's created as you read about it. The book itself is a fun mix of scifi/pnr/dark romance.
I really liked Quentin/Sigil...she's a super strong, spunky, independent heroine, who gets up to all kinds of mischief and trouble. And Sovereign and his brothers are all kinds of strong, sexy, dominating alpha males! It has a really interesting storyline, and it's amazing how much detail was packed into this novella. It definitely left me eager for the next book!

How in the world could something be so disturbing, but be hot, steamy and exciting at the same time?? Sigil is all of that and more. She posed as a slave, but she is so much more. I cannot wait to read the next installment. This is a new author for me, but it will not be my last foray into her work that is for sure! I did volunteer to read this great tale and received an ARC in order to do so. Off to the next installment O go! ?

I love The Worlds that Addison creates.
This book is different than anything that I have read and I really liked that.
The heroine Sigil aka Quinn is fantastic, she is happy in the life she created with her companion and defended that life.
Que is not a big caracter in the story but he is big for Quinn.
She have only two soft spots Que and Children. For the rest she have no boundaries and I love that.
For the part of Sovering and his brothers I have to say that I hated their first encounter and the form they had to corral her. But I suppose that is the only way she is going to stay with them.
I understand their reasons for needing her but that don’t make me liking it. I hope in the second book I can.

The best part of this book is Sigil and her powers, she is a badass. I can’t wait to know what is next.

This author is so beautifully twisted. I was hesitant to read this book (and the sequel) because I'm not really into harem or reversed harem books. I decided to give it a shot though because the Alpha series was so wonderfully insane. It was dark, twisted, but unique and kept my interested.

I enjoyed how the story played out giving me tidbits a bit at a time until I was invested in the characters feelings and actions. Wow! It definitely didn't turn out how I thought it would. I laughed, cried, cringed and smirked. It was awesome to see all sides of this story. I'm wondering what craziness they'll get into next. I would only give warning to those who will be upset by sex with lack of consent.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book. While I enjoyed reading this book, I do not care for cliffhangers. It seems that a large number of authors have taken to writing trilogies with cliffhangers, this is not a trend I care for. This series could be of interest to a number of readers, the world it is set in is different and potentially exciting. In this first book I wish that the author had given us a bit more insight into the characters and the world in which this is set in. I will not continue to read the series but readers who enjoy sci fi or dystopian style books may find this book interesting.

Received an ARC....Not my usual stuff but so glad I tried it. I found the very beginning a bit too much. Lots of info on the characters and difficult to keep up. By the next chapter I was i to it. The female character was so tormented but beautiful inside. Her journey was filled with twists and turns and we can only hope for her success. You can feel her pain. Need to know more.......

Wow. Complex, sensual, gripping, this is a book that keeps a reader engaged! This is my first book by this author, and I'm impressed. The writing is great and characters well done. It's hard to spot where twists will come, yet very easy to read. This is a definite must recommend. This is a voluntary review of an advance reader copy. Wow! I loved this book. I’m notbusually into sci fi, but this book could change that. So many twists and turns in this story and I absolutely love the main character. She’s bad ass, but still is able to have a softer side for the right people and situations. Really great!

WOW!!! I have never read anything like this and I read a lot and I loved it. Quinn's (Sigil) character was fascinating and so powerful I couldn't get enough of her all she wants is her beloved Que where she feels safe from her rage and I was quite intriqed with their unique relationship and has a lot of respect for Que taking her on and giving her some peace. Now the layers of Sovereign I think are many and I really want to know more of him and his brothers he is still has a mysterious feel to him. The writing is amazing and so detailed and you get the backstory of the characters that are so dark its frightening and you never know whats going to happen next. I cant wait to find out how this is going to play out.

I love Addison's writing style. There were so many twist and turns that I would not put this story down, even when my clock said it was 4am in the morning and I had too get up at 5:30am.lol I made it through my day anyway. Addison has a way of pulling you into the story from the first few pages. I can't wait for the next book in this story!

This is a very creative story. I truly enjoyed reading every last page of this book! Wonderful characters with a complex and intriguing plot that really wouldn't let me put it down until I had finished the novel. I'm definitely coming back for more of Cain's work in the future.

I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily reviewing it.

This is a story of Sovereign, the Irdesi Emperor. He and his brothers have been looking for over a century for Sigil, the last female of their species. He has to have her to continue their species. He knows that she has been conditioned to hate him and he knows all her secrets. He has to claim her and has to share her with his brothers. He will destroy anything and anyone standing in his way. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

This book was full of twists that pulled you deep into the dark underbelly of space. It was a little hard to get into at first since it jumped right in with no background, but you quickly were ensnared by the complex characters and the multiple dynamics.
Not for the faint of heart, this story is definitely only for 18+ and not the squeamish. It shows a darker colder side of the menage style.

Once I got started I couldn't put it down! Can't wait for part 2!

I normally don't like reading sci-fi books but I have to say that this was an exciting read. The first chapter was a bit slow but it moved on pretty fast. There are some disturbing scenes so I wouldn't read this if you can be triggered. This ends in a cliff-hanger. Great first read by this author. I would definitely read book 2.

Quinn was a very dangerous person. The only one to have any control over her was Que. Turns out she is more than she knows. There are others looking for her. Negotiations are being made. But there other things afoot. Quinn is a force to deal with and she wreaks havoc. This story is quite interesting. All shell breaks loose caused by Quinn whose name is actually Sigil. Just read this book and find out the whole story. Now onto the next.

I must say I hate cliffhangers, but this story was just wow. It is an intense dark story, and if that's not for you stay away. However, if you want something truly different take a walk on the wild side and read this one. I volunteered to review an advance copy.
