I couldn't put this book down. The second Irdesi Empire book pick up right where the last book left off. Addison has a talent for taking you into new worlds and getting you emotionally involved with all the characters, and this book takes you through all of them. I'm anxiously awaiting the next release.

The story continues with more courtly dramas, more cannibalistic violence and twisted secrets coming to life. Sigil is the definition of life & death in a beautiful but deadly package. Horrible horrors and unimaginable genocide.

I really enjoyed this and would like to read more for sure. Some parts were exciting and some parts were disturbing but all in the best ways. Don't read this if you have a weak stomach for a little gore and guts.

Okay, for those who read all the chapters she posted online before publishing: this is where the new stuff starts (not sure how far in, but new things!)

So, we find out interesting things, it's great and entertaining. I've read way more expensive books that made me want to bash my head against the wall, but not this one. You find some betrayers within the brotherhood. And there might be a bit of cannibalism. Watch out for that.

I don't know what to tell you all without giving secrets away, I'd rather you all read it for yourselves.

And, why, yes! I did receive an advance copy for my unbiased review. And while I love this author, if this book was bad, I would let you know. No one wants to spend money on a horrible book.

Loved this book and the depth of Quinn/Sigil. Sigil never ceases to amaze me. I am really starting to like several of the brothers even though I know I shouldn't but their personalities get me. I highly recommend this book.

I enjoyed the book. It answered questions I had from the first book. Sigil suffered more hardships but she did find some happiness. I can't wait for the next book!!! I still don't know what to think of Sovereign.

Warning: This book is not for the sensitive or fainthearted. It's also not for individuals who refuse to try anything other than the good ole' missionary! The newest addition to Sovereign (Irdesi Empire) series is darker than the previous. Filled with unsuspecting surprises and plot twists, Addison draws you deeper into the heart of the Irdesi Empire. Immerse yourself and follow Sigil, the heroine, as she navigates her way into her new life after being taken by Sovereign from Pax against her will. Sovereign and his Brothers have sought her for centuries, now that they have her, they'll do everything to keep her, and shape her into their desires. But Sigil doesn't want anything to do with it.

I thought it was a nice continuation from the previous book. I like that the lead female character is strong and continues to grow as a character. The twists were enjoyable and adds to the plot of the story. I can't wait to read the next book and see where the story goes. I did receive this as an arc for an honest review. If you were on the fence after the first book of whether to continue or not, I suggest that you give this a try because the story does grow.

Soverign is a good book. While I am not a fan of the titular character himself he is flawed and that is ok. I cannot say much without letting out spoilers but if you want to read a stunning sequel to Sigil then you should definitely read this book. Be warned it has it's fair share of sexual situations but they can be easily skipped for the story.

Eagerly waiting for the third part.

Cain really shows foresight and planning in Sovereign. The twists and turns will have you guessing who is on Sigil's side and who isn't. This isn't it however. Sovereign is dynamic in that it keeps you guessing and it is heart-wrenchingly sad. It's definitely worth the buy.

Shockingly I actually enjoyed this book, and its predecessor, I really didn't want to. It was weird, dark and overall completely messed up. Fairy tale romance this is not. The end though made my blood boil and I'm not going to ruin it but...I have no words.

Content warning: if you think sex is only for the bedroom, this book is not for you. The second part of the Irdesi Empire’s story. Sigil is in the hands of the Sovereign and his brothers, trying to survive in a world that she fled from as a child. A world where she is part of a religion she knows is entire lie, learning a history that she knows is a lie, a group of rebels that want her dead and Sovereign wants her pregnant. And on top of all that, there is a secret in the empire that tear her fragile world apart. Will Sigil fight for what she believes in or will she succumb to the dangers of this new world?

Addison has once again astonished me with this newest masterpiece to the Irdesi Empire series. She's so dedicated to showing each and every character's true motives and reasoning behind every ugly twist and turn in her latest addition, Sovereign, as well as the passion that drives all the men in Sigil's life. From the beginning with the heartbreaking reality that Sigil would not spend her life as she dreamt it, all the way to the end with the love that began grew in her for the men in her life.

If you have yet to have read this series and you love fictional dark erotica, this is a phenomenal read that will not disappoint.

This series is difficult to critique. I truly enjoy the main character, but the grammatical errors (an abundance of errant commas) really distract one from being fully submerged in the world the author is trying to build. Unnecessarily awkward phrasing is strangling what would be an intriguing tale.

In stories like this, it's common for the dialogue to come of as stilted and contrived, but not here. Every line is smooth, realistic, and a pleasure to read. It's easy to become emotionally invested in the characters and all the naughty bits enhance the story instead of distracting from it. All in all a lot of fun and really exciting despite its darker subject matter.

Addison Cane writes romance like a man. The woman is strong and the romance is shrouded in the best sci-fi fantasy I've read in a long time. It's dark but not overly dark. Wow. I'm not sure I can wait for book 3.

Sigil is not human; something this book reminds us of constantly but she is all female as she is full of contradictions and her feelings for those of the Brotherhood. Can't wait to read the next book!
