Alone: A Novel, All By Myself

IT IS HARD TO BELIEVE THAT THIS NOVEL WAS WRITTEN BY THE SAME AUTHOR WHOSE BOOKS I HAVE BEEN READING SINCE THE 80'S. THE ONLY REASON I FINISHED IT WAS THAT I BOUGHT IT! VERY SLOW AND DRAB. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS BOOK.

I honestly don't think Mary Higgins Clark wrote this book. I've been reading her books since "Where Are The Children" and this doesn't "feel" right. It sounds wrong, not her style of writing. It was an okay book but not like her others. I just said the other day that this was one author who had never disappointed me. I guess I was wrong. Just not her style...just an ordinary book, not from the "Queen of Suspense". Oh well...she's getting on in years and maybe she took a page from another well known author and let someone else write it for her. Who knows?

always buy Mary Higgins Clark and Nicholas Sparks book for my wife They are her favorite authors and she loves anything they write. The last two ordered were "All by Myself Alone" by Clark and "Two by Two" by Spark. She gave each d5 tar plus.

I always look forward to a new Mary Higgins Clark book, but I was so disappointed in this book--too predictable, not enough suspense.
Over the years, I have read and enjoyed Ms. Clarks books, but not this one.
