I could not stop reading. I devoured the three book series in two days. It's rare for me to find a set of books so engaging. Well written, lovable characters with flaws that fit both background and personality... It was absolutely wonderful. Some of the best books I've read in years. You will not regret diving into this delightful series.

This series rocked my world! I honestly couldn’t guess how they ended, which I love. So many books are transparent and you can guess what is coming but Annette Marie’s books always take me by surprise! I hope she comes out with a new series soon because no other books compare!

Wow. Can't believe it's over. These characters are so great, the story never really giving you a chance to breath before diving into the next adventure. The folklore rich and colorful. Wish it didn't have to end. My favorite quote and how I feel now.

I loved this series! Emi and Shiro are perfect counterpoints and the world of the Yokai is one I will be visiting often. I found this book on kindle unlimited but I have bought the series because this is a must own. My most fervent hope is that this trilogy becomes an anime series.

Beautiful, intense conclusion to the series. Clear your schedule so that you can read this straight through. There is so much emotion poured into this: battles, changes, descensions, and deaths. The art work within is beautifully illustrated and adds to the story perfectly. Unforgettable characters. . Loved it!

I actually had a hard time getting through this book. I think I expected the action from book 2. Don't get me wrong, there is action, but for some odd reason this one just never hooked me into the story line. Very detailed and fleshed out story that explains some back story on some characters and thankfully wraps everything up at the end. I gave this four stars due to the amount of work that Ms Marie put into creating this world and character building.

An excellent conclusion to a great series! The character development continued nicely and the plot took several twists and turns, keeping me on the edge of my seat and wrapped all loose endings up in a thoroughly satisfying conclusion. I can't wait to read whatever she comes up with to write about next!

Annette Marie knows how to breathe life into each and every character with her words. I laughed and cried (boy did I cry!) alongside them and there's an emptiness now that it's over. I loved how the relationship between Emi and Shiro/Inari developed and I couldn't have asked for a better ending. I highly recommend this series, you won't be disappointed (only until you realize it's over because you want MOARRRR).

Awesome stories this book have the complexity of character and story lines, is very refreshing and satisfying to see a story that doesn't have so much a sexual scene to make the book I can't put this book without finish it very engaging.

Amazing story telling. The use of language led to an easy integration with the book and allowed me to fully ineradicable myself in the series. Ian I love with her portraying of Japanese culture and Japanese myths to such a fascinating tale.

A fantastic end to another great series. Even though it's slightly predictable this book wraps up the series perfectly and still leaves room for other books or new series to follow after. Which I hope is the case.

I was surprised how much I enjoyed the Red Winter series. It was always compelling, felt well researched, but with the author's own twist. Loved the conclusion as it was fast paced, well written, with enough twists and turns to make it a terrific cap to the series.

This was an immensely enjoyable read throughout. It seemed similar to some other stories in places but every time I thought it was going one direction, it would surprise me. The inclusion of the Japanese culture and folklore was intriguing and the romance was beautifully written.

I just finished reading all 3 books... I couldn’t put the kindle down... I was so hooked I purchased the audiobooks so that I can listen as I worked... It’s the first time I’ve read/listened to Japanese mythology... I loved the illustrations included and would love to see this trilogy come to life...

Curse you Annette Marie! :) Another series I was devasted was over. I could not put this series down. Excellent story, suspenseful at every turn. Dynamic between the characters was great. Wish I could re-read for the first time. Her other Steel and Stone series was also out of this world fantastic.

Beautiful story, beautiful characters. A friend recommended this trilogy knowing I am a huge Inuyasha fan and I am so glad she did. Though there is a lot of action, it does not seem rushed. Art is lovely as well

Emi continues to be a wonderful heroine who shows strength both physically and mentally. Emi shows even more courage than before as the Solstice draws closer and she has to come to terms with her mortality and what effect it'll have on her growing relationship with Shiro/Inari. Speaking of Shiro, I really loved his character growth and getting to see more and more of Inari emerge from his personality. Shiro has been such a fun and amazing character throughout the series but this book is where he shines for me...with his lost memories and new relationships, Shiro has a lot going on and yet still manages to provide strength and loyalty to not only Emi but also to his allies (something he's not known for doing in his past as Inari).
Yumei continues to be one of my favorite characters! We get a little bit more insight into his past and character and I just really love his character growth throughout the series. I especially love how he interacts with Emi and it's clear they have a bond (whether he admits it or not lol).
The whole time I was reading this I couldn't imagine how Marie could pull off a plausible ending without it either being tragic or eye-rollingly unbelievable. With so many powerful characters (Amatsukami, Kunitsukami, yokai, etc) and so much going on I didn't think it was possible. But I can happily say that I was quite content with the ending (even if it made me a bit teary eyed) and my only gripe is that I wish there was more. I'd have killed for an epilogue, although, the last couple chapters are a bit of an epilogue of sorts, even if I didn't think it was enough lol.
Overall, a wonderful finale to the Red Winter trilogy and if you've enjoyed the series so far then you don't want to miss this! And if you haven't started the series yet then I definitely recommend picking up book 1 ASAP!
