And very little sex. This is a good thing, because sex between hero and woman is so cliche. Grew on me throughout, until I went hot after the next installment after turning the last page. A boy, his father, and the CIA: a very complex love story.

A good book with an interesting protagonist who will no doubt show up in future books. Twists and turns keep you interested and no one is exactly who he/she seems to be which keeps you guessing. I didn't want to stop reading once I started.

The plot is a trifle melodramatic at times, and requires a stretch of the imagination almost into the realm of science fiction. The story is quite complex with unexpected twists and turns throughout. Also, events seemed to be a little too pat, with things always working out for the protagonist. The action scenes are almost non-stop, but at times require a leap of faith by the readeer to accept the outcome of a particular sequence of events.

The book "Lethal Circuit was very fast paced, very interesting. It had a believable story line
that kept you interested in each chapter. I did not find a single part of it dull or needing
to skip over anything because the writer did not keep my attention. I would definitely buy another
book by this author. Sometimes sleeper books can show very underated authors

Excellent action/thriller that kept me guessing until the end. I enjoyed the scenery, the characters, the tidbits about Michael, the main character and the relationship between him and his missing Father.

I was afraid when I started reading that it was going to be the type of action adventure that has been done and over-done, but Lethal Circuit suprised me. The connections between espionage and a missing piece of Nazi technology was really well executed and I enjoyed it a great deal.

Lethal Circuit is a great mystery/spy thriller set in China with a great cast of characters. Good thing I'm self employed consultant as I find myself wanting to find excuses to pick up my Kindle HD and get back to the story. While I check messages I read another chapter. This is a real page turner and you will not be disappointed unless you find dead bad guys repugnant.

Although parts of the story were interesting, I had a hard time following the action, or even sticking to the story in most parts. Had to go back to the beginning a couple of times,to refresh my memory as to what was going on , or "who was who"....

Reviews on this book were wildly varied. I really liked the book. It is one e-book I got free that made me want to buy the sequel. To the reviewers who made comments like "unbelievable", "comic book writing" and "juvenile", I say HA! Ever watch and enjoy a Bond movie? How many inconceivable plots, miraculous rescues and unbelievable escapes per movie? I love the spy guys and gals and most of their antics seem beyond the realm of human behavior to me. Michael Chase is likeable because of his irreverent attitude toward spy guy management types in pursuit of his missing Pop. I want to meet the Dad of the flashbacks. He is reminiscent of the Ludlum hero's. SUSPEND BELIEF, read the book. It's fun.

Fast moving and one of the important aspects of the book is fact that many of us will never travel to some of these places but a good author will take you there. Guignard does so and is very good with word pictures. Can't help but like the main character and the predicaments he encounters. I look forward to the next one.

This is a great read, filled with twists and turns, well connected surprises, just hen you think you found the answer. The main character is so well developed, that at the end when he is finally defined, you are so accepting of the role...but you must read this for your own enjoyment.

This turned out to be a very interesting book. Our lead character is Michael Chase who is backpacking in China. Michael
is in China hunting leads on the death of his father. They had a funeral but there was no body. He is secretly a CIA agent. he makes commections with Kate Shaw who is a MI-6 agent. Immediately there are two projects that call for their attention. They become a part of a search for a Horten airplane. This was a super plane being developed by the Nazis but
did not come on line before World War II ended. The chinese have fored a satellite into space and the satellite is threatening to crash into California. Michael and Kate are hard pressed to stop these twin projects. They have interference from the Chinese Triads and the Chinese intelligence service. A very good book,be sure to read it.

This is thriller entertainment par excellence!

Lethal Circuit grips the reader from the first pages, with sympathy for our young hero Michael Chase amid a growing web of dangers from Hong Kong far into mainland China. Guignard's sense of setting is impeccable, allowing us uninitiated readers to imagine and even smell the streets, buildings, and streams. His character development is superb, as Chase confronts multi-layered intrigues while seeking explanations for his father's death. Guignard's short flashbacks of the father-child relationship are just right, leaving the novel to flow and Chase's character to unfold, memorable weeks after the cover-to-cover reading.

Various close-calls and twists along with constant dangers keep the overarching plot moving and exciting. Besides his strong sense of place, Guignard has clearly done his research for very accurate representation of the various East Asian political and economic forces competing throughout the plot.

In a well executed balancing act, Guignard brings his surprise ending to a fine resolution while pointing clearly to a sequel, which I eagerly await. In this way reminiscent of Stieg Larsson, in others of Robert Ludlum and Michael Crichton, Lars Guignard brings his own polished voice to the thriller genre to stay.

I was actually a little surprised by this book. I'm hardly ever surprised by twists in a book. Well, here I actually was. Bravo! I think the author is quite talented. I'm now going to have to wait for the next installment.

The plot, the characters and the action was a bit over-the-top but it did have some interesting twists especially near the end. I don't know if i would read the obvious sequel set up at the end of this book.

Michael Chase is an unlikely action hero who grows on readers jaded by the superhuman exploits of the current crop of intelligence operatives. The author convincingly develops a plot worthy of the reader's interest while avoiding trite fabrications. A firm foundation exists for further development of anentertaining, yet believable low-profile spy.

Lethal Circuit (A Michael Chase Spy Thriller #1)

This book was a very enjoyable read. I was not familiar with the author, Lars Guignard but will be seeking other books by him. The story was good, characters believable and there was plenty of action. If you enjoy spy novels give Lethal Circuit a try.

Although a bit redundant a times, ( Yes...we know after the first 5 mentions how much it sucked for the main character to be stuck in a mineshaft.) This was a enjoyable read that is in no doubt ment as a set up to a series of missions to find his father. That being said, I'll probably be reading the follow ups now, just for the ride.

I really enjoy a book that maintains a direction and surprises me at the end. I really don't want to figure it out but love to be carried along with the story. This was one of those for me. I can't wait to read the next one in this series.
