Driving Whiskey Wild, is the third title featuring the Whiskey family. If you are looking for a sweet, heartwarming, opposites attract story full of heat and heart this is the book for you.

Bullet Whiskey is an enigmatic character. Hidden beneath the big, brawny, exterior, this former special forces operative is kind, compassionate and caring. He does have a slight problem with coming on too strong, and being over protective at times. This broody, moody, gruff biker is an alpha to the core, and despite portraying a confident, self assured and headstrong demeanor he is haunted by his past.

Finlay Wilson is a transplant from a bygone era and exudes an innocence and naivety. She's epitomises all things feminine and love to wear pretty dresses, and things frilly. She's a wonderful blend of sweet and sassy and feels most at home in the kitchen where she can bake and cook til her heart's content.

The Whiskey family has such a lovely dynamic. They are so loving, loyal and protective of those they hold dear.

Although this is slow burn romance, I loved the mutual attraction and fascination between this pair. The build up of sexual tension and chemistry is slow, but it oozes from the page. Their banter is heartfelt, and at times antagonistic and humorous. The love scenes are hot, steamy and passionate, and this pair are able to find solace in each other's arms.

This is my favourite of the Whiskey titles so far, and I will be eagerly awaiting the Bones story next.

Melissa Foster has done it again! Driving Whiskey Wild is the 3rd book in this series and is the story of Bullet and Finlay.

“Finlay looked like a frigging angel with her silky blond hair and innocent blue eyes. It was that innocence that had flipped some switch inside Bullet and made him want to sin her up and protect her at the same time.”

“As soon as there was a break in orders, Bullet turned his back to the bar and unwrapped the tissue paper, unveiling a cookie that looked a hell of a lot like him, from his bread and tattoos right down to his black leather boots. While all the other cookies had WHISKEY BRO’S or WB scrawled across them, his cookie read, BULLET TRAIN.”

Finlay and Bullet are both a little broken from the things that happened in the past. But as they work together to help improve the family bar, they discover they belong together. Add in a sweet Rottweiler puppy, named Tinkerbell, glimpses into the world of some of my favorite people, Dixie, Bear, Crystal, Tru, Gemma and of course – Kennedy and Lincoln, you have an amazing story of love.

One of my favorite lines is “My mother used to say that the best parts of cobbler weren’t the big pieces that everyone gobbled down, but the broken ones left behind. Those were drenched in sweetness, but only some people were lucky enough to realize it. I realize it, Bullet. I want only you.”

So buy the book – you know you want a turn to ride the “Bullet train.”

Bullet Whiskey is a protector by nature. A veteran with a history a PTSD and a lot of baggage, he’s more than rough around the edges and not at all into relationships.
Finlay Wilson recently moved back to be close to her sister and restart her life after dealing with the losses of her boyfriend and more recently her father.
Bullet and Finlay don’t see eye to eye from the beginning, but the short girl with the pink van will stand her ground and not allow the big bully to scare her away and this, in turn, will make for a nice opposites attract story.
This was my first read of this series and it was an easy follow as it is a proper standalone. I liked the characters and their relationship as well as the secondary characters.
I found Bullet to be extremely intense and everything about him is as intense as his personality. Finlay, on the other hand, looks like a porcelain doll, but has the spirit of a bull. Stubborn and fierce and curious as a cat, she’ll dig her heels in and won’t let go until she gets Bullet out of his head. These traits make for a good read and a nice, sexy story about two very different people who find love and the way to heal each other.
With the background of the motorcycle club community, Bullet and Finlay’s story will come to life and it will take you for a nice ride.

This is by far my favorite Melissa Foster series and probably book thus far. First of all the hero, Bullet, is a war veteran with PTSD. My husband is the same, so I could really relate and sympathize with him. I absolutely loved the fact that he had a great big old dog named Tinkerbell that helped him with that PTSD. They couldn't sleep without each other! Bullet carries some heavy memories and guilt with him and sees himself as protector of those he cares about.
Finlay is just a super sweet character. She's afraid of many things, but steps out of her comfort zone to accept a date with Bullet. His tattoos frighten her, his dog frightens her, his motorcycle frightens her and a lot of times his attitude frightens her. On the other hand--he calls her Lollipop, sleeps with his dog and has a habit of saving people. How can she hold out against that? When their pasts merge together can they overcome the shared trauma and move past it for the HEA they each deserve?
This was a great story by Melissa Foster and a great narration by Paul Woodson!

Driving Whiskey Wild is one of my favorite reads. The classic opposites-attract characters made me love this book.

Finlay Wilson is trying to start up her life again in her hometown. Finlay is trying to start her business up and get her name out there for catering. She takes on a job helping remodel the Whiskey Bro's. A biker bar seems very out of element for good-girl Finlay. I love that she's proud of who she is that's she's comfortable enough to be herself around the bar.

Bullet Whiskey is very loyal to his family and friends. As gruff as Bullet can be, he's very soft hearted. He reminds me of a giant teddy bear. I've been looking forward to his story and I am not disappointed.

Bullet and Finlay are very opposite of each other that communication is key. I like how much Finlay pushes for open communication.

Both characters have their fears and demons to deal with. Together, they can face their past and present to better their future.

The Whiskeys are one of my favorite families that Melissa Foster writes about.

I received this book as an Advance Reader's copy. I volunteered to leave my review. All opinions are my own.

Driving Whiskey Wild by Melissa Foster was a fun, dirty sexy emotional read. These Whiskey Brother may look like tough bikers but they have hearts of gold.

Finley Wilson is a chef who first meets Bullet at a wedding she was catering and the first thing he said to her was “Hey sweetheart, whaddaya say I take you for a ride on the Bullet train?” Now she is asked to help with the kitchen renovations at Whiskey’s Bar and working alongside Bullet.

Bullet is big tattooed biker guy who always looks angry but that doesn’t stop Finley from putting him in his place. Bullet at first doesn’t want Finley around the bar because he thinks he needs to protect her, but he soon finds out that she can handle herself.

These two might be opposites but their sexual chemistry is off the charts. Finley is his light that makes him start letting go of the past and looking to the future. There are so many cute and enjoyable moments between this couple and friends/family.

Melissa’s books are always addicting and she knows how to pull at your heartstrings and how to get down and dirty. Highly recommend checking out this series and all of her other ones, you will not be sorry you did.

Driving Whiskey Wild (The Whiskeys, #3) by Melissa Foster is Bullet Whiskey's story. Every since he got back from his tours from Special Ops he has had a hard time adjusting to life. He has a severe case of PTSD. His life consist of the family bar, his real family & MC family plus his faithful dog. He is so busy caring for everyone else that he isn't taking care of himself. At the wedding he met Finlay. He was definitely smitten with her. Now in this book she comes to help with the renovations with the bar kitchen. He is resistant to her ideals and suggestions every step of the way. Is his resistance due to the fact that he is not fine with the bar being renovated or is it the feelings she stirs inside of him?Their's is a story of push and pull. Finlay is slowly winning over not only the members at the bar but Bullet as well
Loved their journey to finding love. Bullet never expected it and Finlay never thought she could love again. The way they healed each other is beautiful plus Bullet is hot hot hot. Love the cast of characters from the previous books and looking forward to the next installment of the Whiskeys. I give this story 4.5 stars.

As always with the Whiskey’s they’re an addicting, swoon worthy family and reading about them is always an adventure. Tru Blue has been my favorite book in this series but this book is my next favorite – it’s a quick read that I couldn’t put down!

Bullet Whiskey’s life is all about protecting – be it his family, friends or absolute strangers. If they’re in need Bullet is there to help. Finlay Wilson is new to the town and just getting her catering business off the ground. Bullet and Finlay first met at a Whiskey wedding where Bullet propositioned Finlay. Now, Finlay is going to be working at the Whiskey bar helping revamp things while Bullet fights tooth and nail to keep her away from the guys at the bar – and to get her to give a fling with him a chance.

Bullet was one of my favorite characters that I’ve read in a while – he’s sexy, rough around the edge and has quick whit that had me cracking up. Finlay is his perfect balance and the author did such a fantastic job with their banter. I’m looking forward to more from “The Whiskeys.”

Read and reviewed for Wicked Reads.

Driving Whiskey Wild was a slow burning read. It was paced well, and the characters were developed in a way that you couldn't help but fall in love with them. I haven't read the previous books in this series, it wasn't hard to follow on as it was a standalone with the appearance of previous couples. I will be going back and reading them as I want to see their full stories develop. Bullet and Finlay are a classic opposites attract story, Bullet is brusque and closed off while Finley is sweet. It is an enjoyable read watching these two fall in love. This book is well written, I look forward to reading more in this series in the future.

Driving Whiskey Wild by Melissa Foster was a fantastic book. It will open your eyes to how a service man come home with PTSD and flashbacks,  but can still fall in love and have a future. This was such a beautiful love story between Bullet and Finlay. It took me two days to devour this book because I was so hooked from the very beginning.  The way that Bones Whiskey came to help Bullet get over his fears is Priceless.

I loved the way Finlay put Bullet in his place at the bar he owned after the snide remark he made to her.  I like that Finlay wasn't  intimidated to have the bikers at the try her homemade cookies. She was helping Bullets sister Dixie open up the bar's kitchen.  The girls night out was hilarious and how he had come to the rescue at the nightclub was awesome.  It was so sweet how he introduced his dog Tinkerbell to Finlay knowing she was afraid of dogs.

This is the first book I have read from Melissa Foster,  I look forward to reading more.  I will definitely be recommending Driving Whiskey Wild.

Bullet Whisky is the gruff bartender at the family bar. He is Dark Knights MC member who keeps Peaceful Harbour troublefree and ex special forces who has PTSD. Finlay has returned to their hometown to be near her sister and is starting a catering business and helping the bar get food service started. Tattooed, leather “Bullet Train” is attracted to opposite sweet frilly Finlay.
Brandon (Bullet) is a loyal brother and son and listens well to his mother’s advice “Go after her with your heart” and Finlay can’t resist his sexy softness. Navigating to their happily ever after is not always easy but there is lots about Brandon and Finlay; getting to know Tinkerbell and Finlay learning about the MC and overcoming her fear to be on the bike.
You can’t help but fall in love with Bullet and Finlay as they fall in love. Their friends and family are well included in the story and even though you can read this is a standalone book it’s great knowing those characters and meeting new ones. Can’t wait for Bone’s book.!

Bullet Whiskey is everything you could never dare hope for but somehow wish you would have found. He's a mountain of a man and knows just how to keep people away. I absolutely adore this character and the way Melissa Foster writes his story. Brash and bold, he doesn't back down, but can Finlay find a place in his heart?

Now, Finlay took me a little longer to relate to although I found her to be the perfect yin to Bullet's yang. The way these two come together and fight their feelings, hell bent on not seeing what's right in front of them makes this an even better love story. With everything these two have been through I was so happy to see them get their happily ever after.

Driving Whiskey Wild blends everything you love about a good romance and adds a strong family along with a dash of friendship to bring you one of my favorite Melissa Foster books to date. Bullet is most definitely my favorite book boyfriend from this author.

I love this series, and always enjoy life in Pleasant Harbour and the Whiskey boys. I loved Bullet he was a great character, with no real idea on how talk to Finlay, “Would you like a ride on the Bullet train.” I do love Melissa’s stories you know you get strong sassy woman and Alpha hotness in the men you know are just waiting for the right woman.
They are standalone stories which you can visit, and enjoy the romance and catch up with past characters in the stories. I loved this one Bullet was a great hero, was suffering for his time in the service with flashbacks and nightmares. That all changed the more Bullet got to know Finlay. Finlay has a wonderful sunny personality  and just the right girl for Bullet.
As always with a Melissa Foster book an enjoyable read with great characters and plenty going on, which left me with a smile on my face and sense of satisfaction from a great story.
I received an Arc of this book in exchange for an honest review.

From start to finish I LOVED this book! Bullet Whiskey has always been someone I have been curious about since the moment I "met" him. Bullet holds things close to the vest and I was really curious to see what kind of girl he would end up with. Finlay Wilson was not the type of person I expected for Bullet but she is so perfect for him. Both Finlay and Bullet hold a tragedy close to them and it has thrown up a wall around each of their hearts. The fact that it was the same tragedy for both of them was a shocking twist that I did not expect.

In the end, Bullet and Finlay helped each other realize how strong the other one truly was as they found their own inner strength. The emotional journey they embark on together either makes or breaks couples and I love how Melissa Foster spins their story to show a beautiful journey of the two of them coming together to find their happily ever after.

I cannot wait to read more of the Whiskey siblings!

I received a free copy of this audiobook to listen to and review for Wicked Reads.

Driving Whiskey Wild is only my second Melissa Foster audiobook and I’m forced to admit that I’ve not read any of her books prior to this. When our blog was offered the opportunity to join the author’s audiobook review team, I borrowed another of her audiobooks via Audible’s Romance Package to get a feel for her writing. As there are three audiobook reviewers on our blog and I was the only one who’d not read her writing before, I wanted to make sure that I could pitch in in the event neither of the other ladies were available – both of whom love Foster’s books. Bear with me for just a little more background, I’m the individual who prepares and publishes the posts on our blog, which means that I get to read everyone’s reviews and because of that, I had actually added Driving Whiskey Wild to my ‘Want to Read’ shelf on Goodreads. Needless to say, when the first audiobook sent to us for review wound up being Driving Whiskey Wild, there was no pitching in for me, I was all over it and Foster and Woodson did not disappoint.

I’m a fan of MC romances, it doesn’t matter if it’s a one-percenter club or just a group of men who look for the camaraderie and sense of brotherhood a motorcycle club often provides, nor does it matter if it’s a dark romance, a romcom, an erotic romance, or a contemporary romance, if it’s well written, I can usually lose myself in an MC romance. In Driving Whiskey Wild, the Dark Knights Motorcycle Club is a brotherhood that supports its members and protects its community. Although nothing illegal occurs in the book, statements are made that suggest that if they were backed into a corner, the club would do what it had to in order to protect their own – especially Bullet Whiskey. Between his upbringing and his time in the service, Bullet has an overdeveloped need to protect others, especially those who matter to him. This sense of duty makes for a rather intense man on the outside, but the more we learn about Bullet, the more we realize that the man also has a sweet side, at least he does for Finlay. Well, when he can get his libido under control he does. I nearly choked on my coffee when the “Take you for a ride on the Bullet Train” line was uttered. As for Finlay, she’s not what one would envision for the rough-around-the-edges Bullet, and yet, she proves to be the perfect women for him, possessing a quiet, inner strength that serves her well when dealing with the prideful man. Witnessing the two conquer each other’s demons and tear down their walls made for quite a journey – one that made me laugh, bite my nails, swoon a bit, and anticipate the happily ever after ending Foster is known for. And Foster did not let me down.

As for the narration, I’m chagrined to admit that when I began listening to Driving Whiskey Wild, I wasn’t sure that I was going to enjoy Paul Woodson’s narration. You see, I had this idea in my mind of what Bullet Whiskey should sound like based on the guy on the book’s cover and at first, Woodson wasn’t meeting my expectation. But as I listened, I soon eschewed my skewed expectation and fell into Woodson’s performance. Not only did he become Bullet Whiskey, but he also became Finlay, as well as the huge cast of characters who are woven into the story – and there are a LOT of them. I thoroughly enjoyed Woodson’s narrative performance and look forward to listening to him in the future, which is likely to be sooner rather than later as I plan to back track and listen to the other two audiobooks in The Whiskeys series. Yep, Foster and Woodson have me hooked on The Whiskeys.

Bullet Whiskey!!! That is a name you will want to remember. He is an Alpha 100% but has a heart of gold and will melt your panties from his dirty talk ;)

Driving Whiskey Wild is an opposites attract story. It’s the third book in Melissa Foster’s Whiskey Series. It is told in Dual POV in the third person. This is a fun and entertaining read but was also filled with all the emotions you want when reading a 5 star book. This isn’t filled with excess drama but the emotions that fill this story is what keeps you turning the page.

In this book we follow Bullet and Finlay’s story. Bullet is the oldest of the Whiskey siblings. He is gruff and a protector. Truly ALPHA!!! But as we get to know Bullet we get to see his softer side too. While reading this story we know that Bullet carries some secrets and guilt for things from his past. He believes he is no good for anyone and doesn’t deserve love. In walks Finlay….Bullet’s opposite in every way. But these two characters totally work for each other. Finlay just moved back to town to be close to her sister Penny and to start her catering business. She has also agreed to help the Whickey’s expand their bar. She first met Bullet at Tru and Gemma’s wedding and to say that was not what she expected is an understatement. Bullet is everything she stays away from. But what happens when they get to know each other and she sees a different side to Bullet?? Can these two opposites truly find their happiness with each other?? Read this story to find out.

I have to say Finlay is one of my favorite heroines from Melissa. I loved that she saw past Bullet’s outside and was willing to give him a chance. She took the time to see what was underneath all of his gruffness. I wasn’t sure how I was going to feel about Bullet, but I have to say i loved him too. I loved his possessiveness and his heart of gold. Who knew he would be so sweet under all those layers. And his dirty talk….WOW!!! ;)

I loved seeing all the Whiskey’s in this book again and also seeing Tru, Gemma, Kennedy and Lincoln. I liked that we got to know Bones better in this book and Bullet’s parents….Biggs and Red. I was thrilled to meet some new characters also. I liked how she set up the story, kind of, for the next book. I look forward to reading Bones’s story next.

Driving Whiskey Wild is a standalone novel and I don’t think any of the other books have to be read before enjoying this story, but I would recommend reading Tru Blue and Truly, Madly, Whiskey first just so you get the full effect of the Whiskey clan. You do see all of these characters in the previous books.

I would recommend this book to anyone who loves a strong Alpha hero who finds the woman who softens his heart. If you like an opposites attract story this is one of my favorites so far. If you have read Melissa’s books before then you don’t want to miss this GEM!! but if she is new to you, then start with the Whiskey series….you’ll love them all like I have!!!

From swoon worthy romances to alphas with a heart of gold, there is nothing that author Melissa Foster can’t write. And Driving Whiskey Wild is the latest book of hers to steal my heart and give me all the feels.

I never saw Driving Whiskey Wild coming. This book grabbed a hold of me from the very beginning and held my heart hostage. Bullet is broody, mysterious and has an even tougher exterior. He loves those he lets into his life fiercely, but is haunted by his past. So, when sweeter than sweet Finlay comes into his life, he is determined to get rid of her. Only Finlay is not the kind of woman who is put off easily. She may look sweet on the outside, but isn’t about to let Bullet scare her away. She is the total opposite of Bullet, but wild horses couldn’t keep these two away…

Bullet is the kind of guy you can’t help but be drawn to. His presence makes you just want to know more about him. What makes him tick? Why does he feel the need to keep everyone away? What happened to him? And the more you get to know him, the more you see that he is fiercely protective. When he loves, he loves hard and deep. He is a giant with a heart of gold. And even though he knows he’s got more demons than he knows how to handle and that he should stay away from Finlay, he just can’t. Finlay has the biggest heart and sees the good in everyone. She is the light in the dark and understands the need to hide the scars. She knows she is not the kind of woman that Bullet is used to, but she can’t stay away from him. She has to see where their connection will go. And let me tell you, the tension and chemistry just oozes off the two of them. Their pull is irresistible and will keep you begging for more. I just loved this two together. I enjoyed seeing them grow as a couple and overcome the obstacles along the way.

Driving Whiskey Wild was everything I wanted in a Melissa Foster novel and then some. It was well written and entertaining. I was captivated from page one and just had to devour this book in a single sitting. The characters were real and perfectly flawed. I loved that this book had a touch of darkness to it, but still had the light and family feeling that I have come to know and love from this author. Driving Whiskey Wild had just the right amount of steam, alpha moments and light drama.

I loved getting lost in this book and think that it is a wonderful addition to The Whiskey Series. I can not wait to get my hands on the next book in this series and see who’s heart falls next.

4.5 STARS
DRIVING WHISKEY WILD by Melissa Foster. This review is for the audiobook version of this story. Having read the previous books in the Whiskey series, I was very excited for Bullet and Finlay's story. (Note- this can be listened to as a standalone). Ms. Foster's story often evoke quite the range of emotions out of me and this one was no different. Bullet is uber-sexy, rough and tough and gruff all the way but has the biggest heart of almost any Hero I've ever met. Finlay is sweet as pie and, if two people could be more opposite, it's these two. Finlay, however, at times was just a tad too sweet for me and came across a little naive. Despite that, she complemented Bullet perfectly. Their love story is one that is sweet and endearing. It represents many of the ups and downs couples face as they journey their path together. I was smiling and laughing, swooning and catching my breath, and then found myself yelling at the characters too. Ms. Foster does an amazing job of portraying the emotions and feelings of her characters and her phrasing and way with words often makes me go "Sigh - that is just soooo romantic!" The audio version of the tale was well done, although I had my hesitations when learning it was a male narrator. Often, I find males distracting when they try to pull off a female's voice. Mr. Paul Woodson did an acceptable job, however. It did take me a chapter or two to get used to him speaking as Finlay and the other females, but once I got into the story, it no longer became an issue for me. I found I could follow and recognize each character as he spoke. Listening to a book is a bit different then reading it and I found DRIVING WHISKEY WILD to be a wonderful listening experience. (received an ARC of the audiobook for an honest review)

Audiobook Review

Narrator: Paul Woodson

Having already read Driving Whiskey Wild (scroll down a bit to see my ebook review) and absolutely adoring Bullet, Finley and the rest of the Whiskey clan, I was excited to see how the story held up on audio for me and I wasn’t disappointed in any way. It bumped up the emotional impact of the story and truly brought the characters to life for me and had me wanting more when the story ended.

I always find myself being a bit anxious when it comes to listening to a new to me narrator, especially when I’ve already read and adored the book, and I’ll admit that it took the first chapter for me to become used to Paul Woodson’s performance, but after that it I because used to the cadence and pacing of his voice and became lost in the story. The various voices for the characters were done well and after settling in, it was easy to differentiate who was speaking without any issue.

Overall, the audiobook version was done very well. The narrator brought the characters to vibrant life and had me falling in love with them all over again!

***5 ‘Sugar Rush’ Stars***

O.M.G the swoons and feels are all kinds of real with this one. Not that I expected any less since we are talking about the Whiskey clan in general and all that, but I actually did the whole blink-blink no there is no excess moisture threatening to fall over my lower lashes thing. This book just did it for me on all fronts and left me in the weird limbo of being absolutely satisfied and still wanting more.

So where to start and NOT become verbal vomit-y?? (Probably too late, but…)

Bullet is a Whiskey through and through. He speaks his mind aka blunt as all get out, does his best to always be honest and is probably one of the most overprotective Alpha AF males you’ll ever meet, but he’s haunted by his past and the guilt that comes from it weighs heavily on his heart and soul. I adored Bullet for all the above reasons and more because his heart is so golden it’s blinding, but man, is he stubborn so much so that not even a titanium pipe to the head would break his tunnel vision.

Finley has moxie and is that intriguing combination of sassy, sweet, naive and determined that keeps you on your toes and want to know what her next move will be. I adored Finley on so many levels, she cooks and bakes, so the food lover in me was all kinds of happy, but it was how open she was and wasn’t afraid to put herself out there and figure things out on her own that I truly admired. The one thing that I did have to wrestle with was her own special brand of verbal vomiting, I know I do it so I should be okay with it, but we are all different and even I had my moments of needing her to just chill.

~ ‘Lollipop & Brutus’ ~

If you love opposites attract romances where the couple in question couldn’t be more different on the surface, but find that they had a more in common than could have ever known, then you will absolutely adore Bullet & Finley’s journey to their HEA. They pushed each other’s comfort zones in such a way that while it made them both uncomfortable, it also made them stronger because of it. The smexy was HAWT and I really enjoyed just how they fit together without getting lost in each other. Their journey has its fair share of bumps, but nothing overly angsty and I liked how they navigated their way through it all.

Obviously, I’m fangirling and kinda verbal vomiting, so I’ll cut myself off soon, but I do have to mention the Whiskey clan and those that apart of their inner circle because they play a large part in why I adore these book. The family dynamic jumps off the page and I love the depth that each one brings to the story. I don’t have a clear favorite because they are all so much fun, but Tinkerbell definitely stole my heart and Kennedy is an absolute doll. But I’m absolutely excited for Bones and Sarah’s book ~ I had a feeling about these two ~ and cannot wait to get my hands on it!

4.5 stars-- DRIVING WHISKEY WILD is the third instalment in Melissa Foster’s contemporary, adult THE WHISKEYS erotic, romance series focusing on the Whiskey family of Peaceful Harbor. This is Special Forcers veteran and bartender Brandon ‘Bullet’ Whiskey, and caterer Finlay Wilson’s story line. The Whiskeys is a spin off from the author’s Bradens of Peaceful Harbor, but each installment can be read as a stand alone with any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines and series is revealed where necessary.

Told from dual third person perspectives (Bullet and Finlay) DRIVING WHISKEY WILD follows the building relationship between former Special Forces soldier Brandon ‘Bullet’ Whiskey, and caterer Finlay Wilson. Bullet Whiskey hasn’t stopped thinking about Finlay Wilson since the day they met at Tru and Gemma’s wedding where our hero propositioned the woman with whom he would fall in love by daring her to take a ride on the ‘Bullet Train’. When Bullet’s sister Dixie offers Finlay a chance to redesign the family owned Whiskey’s Bro’s Bar, Bullet has no idea the whirlwind that is about to land him on his a$$. Enter Finlay Wilson, professional caterer and chef, and the woman who has starred in all of his fantasies and dreams. What ensues is the building romance between Bullet and Finlay, and Bullet’ s battle with PTSD and guilt that threaten to destroy what little semblance of peace he has barely acquired.

Brandon ‘Bullet’ Whiskey suffers from PTSD and the guilt of loosing too many men while fighting overseas. Large, looming and ever-the-protector Bullet believes he is unworthy of a woman like Finlay Wilson-a woman who has burrowed so deeply she has become part of the man himself. The relationship between Finlay and Bullet is one of immediate attraction but an attraction that is tempered by Bullet’s need to protect and his inability to let go of the past. The $ex scenes are intimate, erotic and seductive without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

Once again, we are reintroduced to Bullet’s extended and tight-knit family-a family that founded the Dark Knights MC, Whiskey Bro’s bar, and Whiskey Automotive: his brothers Bones (a physician by day and a biker by night), and biker/mechanic Bear and his wife Crystal (Truly, Madly, Whiskey 2); their long-suffering sister Dixie; Dixie, Bullet, Bear, and Bones’ parents Biggs and Wren (Red) Whiskey; Truman & Gemma (Tru Blue #1) and Truman’s brothers and sister, Quincy, Lincoln and Kennedy, and Crystal’s brother Jed Moon. We are introduced to Finlay’s best friend Isabel Ryder; and Sarah Beckley-a single mother who almost lost everything, if not for our story line hero, to a frightening motor vehicle accident. Bones and Sarah’s story line is next in Wicked Whiskey Love (November 2018).

DRIVING WHISKEY WILD is a story of family, friendship, romance, and love; of survival, moving forward, and letting go of the past. The premise is emotional, heart warming and captivating; the romance is provocative and intense; the characters are courageous, wondrous and inspiring. I have been waiting for Bullet’s story, and what a rollercoaster journey it is. This ex military bad boy is tough and invincible, and he will do whatever he has to in order to keep his family safe. Suffering from PTSD, which Bullet tries to hide, as well as his emotions and feelings, he is determined not to let anybody get close to him. That is until sweet and insecure Finlay is hired by his sister. The chemistry between these two is explosive, and shows a much softer side to Bullet. These two have to overcome several obstacles to be together. This is a fantastic story, which is humorous, heartbreaking, emotional, loving, and an all together phenomenal read. This author never disappoints her readers, and I totally love all of the Whiskey clan. I highly recommend this authors’ work for all readers.

Melissa’s books have all been wonderfully heartfelt and exciting. This is the first one I’ve read where opposites attract, and I immediately knew I was going to love reading Bullet and Finlay’s story. These two had some series heat and the snarky banter that I love so much.

I think of all Melissa's couples, Bullet and Finlay were my favorite so far. They, like her other characters, had great depth and strength, but there was just something more to them. I think it was the wounded soldier and familial responsibilities that Bullet always carried with him and the way Finlay loved him because of the man he was.

From the beginning, I knew their relationship would be special and the passion explosive. They had that visceral connection I long to see. It was like they were one, instinctively knowing what the other needed as well as constantly feeling that pull to be near one another. What I loved most was the transformation I saw when they were together. Bullet displayed a gentleness when interacting with Finlay that I'd never expect from him. It wasn't that she was delicate but that he recognized how precious she was to his heart. Similarly, the bubbly, sweet Finlay showed great strength and conviction when it came to her support of Bullet and all that he loved. She was his safe harbor in the raging storm that lived within him.

Overall, I enjoyed their story and the complete lack of angst. I get enough drama from my kids. The majority of the conflict (and I say that lightly), is at the beginning when they were working through their relationship and opening up to one another. There isn't much in regard to Bullet overcoming his demons since he's been working on that for seven years, but we do see him find the ability to trust in Finlay and confront one major roadblock to his healing. Also, the book was light on sex, but it wasn't without passion. We get tension, hot kisses, dirty talk, and fantastic foreplay. We also get fabulous secondary characters. So if you've read the other books in the series, you'll enjoy catching up with the couples as well as being introduced to the love interest of another Whiskey sibling.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Readers Copy of this book.

This is the third book in The Whiskeys series but as with all Melissa Foster books it can be read as a standalone. This book encompassed three of my very favourite tropes – opposites attract, small town and MC. I loved it!

Bullet Whiskey has been through major trauma in his past life but as ex Special Forces it is hardly surprising and that it left him with PTSD. Coming from an MC family he has always looked out for others and is seen as the protector. When a new woman moves into town, his growly gruff ways with her at a family wedding is an instant dislike for her. The couple have therefore walked a wide berth from each other since. However when a new business venture is struck, the two become closer than close in proximity and other ways too!

Finlay is back in her home town, hoping to start up her catering business but in the meantime she agrees to help out her new friend with her family business expansion. This brings her back in the fold of big, rough but extremely hot Bullet. Finlay is a sweeter than sugar candy girl next door with her pretty dresses and Bullet is a tough talking biking member of his family MC. To say they are opposites is putting it mildly but when opposites attract, the heat gets steamy!

This was an initial slow burner of a romance which fit this read so well. The reader was able to get to know and understand each character well. I loved how this relationship developed from anger and disparage to like then sweet then hot! Both had their own complexities but I just adored how the romance between them blossomed with heat, intensity and sizzling chemistry.

The small town feel and the MC band of brothers also gave it an added layer of depth that pulled me right into the storyline. There was plenty of emotion, angst and heat to keep me focused and engaged and never wanting the story to end. For me this was one of the best (if not the best) that I have read by this author. Bullet was an instant hit and my favourite type of man to read about – tough and rough exterior but hiding an overload of love and sweet inside. I adored him.

This book was a wonderful read and one I could not get enough of and is therefore a highly recommend five star read. Fabulous!

After falling in love with Truly, Madly, Whiskey - I was so excited to read Bullet and Finlay's story! Bullet is the ultimate, sexy alpha and also a part of the Dark Nights MC. When his sister enlists Finlay help to expand their bar, Bullet is immediately attracted to her, although, he doesn't think she belongs in a biker bar. Read and see what happens when opposites seriously attract!

Finlay is such a wonderful character and definitely the opposite of Bullet. She's feminine, somewhat prissy, super sweet, and a talented baker trying to start her own catering business. Bullet is fiercely protective of those around him, hardened by his time in the special forces, but also passionate and loving. Case in point - his extreme love for and loyalty to his Rottweiler Tinkerbell. The story of how they came into each other's lives was heartbreaking but also so sweet it made me just fall in love with him even more.

The main themes in Driving Whiskey Wild are of course romance and unlikely soul mates, but Melissa Foster also explores PTSD, coping skills, and the loss of loved ones. Bullet and Finlay have both experienced loss and grief, but it ends up bringing them together in very surprising ways. Moreover, Foster explores the strength of family bonds - whether blood or chosen family - and the power of patience, caring, and acceptance.

Driving Whiskey Wild doesn't include some enormous conflict from out of nowhere that tests Bullet and Finlay, but rather is a slow climb as they try overcoming their inner demons and accepting each other for who they really are. I absolutely loved this beautiful novel and I must comment on Melissa's cover model - swoon! My oh my, that man is yummy... I can't wait for the next in the series about Bones!

On the outside, Finlay and Bullet couldn't be more different! She's tiny, sweet and cheerful; he's imposing, serious and focused. But along the chapters, as they discover each other, they will find a lot of similarities within each other. Both have suffered a lost, but they are clearly not in the same place mentally, in regards to said lost. Finlay will be there for Bullet to push through his PTSD and set himself free of the guilt that's been eating him on the inside.
I loved the brief news we got from the Bradens, with Finlay's company. I thought that was a nice little touch. I also loved Bullet's huge heart; how he loves Tru & Gemma's kids, his relationship with Tinkerbell. That man made me swoon hard!! This Whiskeys series has been really great so far, looking forward to Bones in book 4!!

Reviewing on behalf of Relentless Book Chics Ramblings and Reviews

Fun, hot and heart warming; another great Whiskey brothers story!

This author is fairly new to me as I’ve only read her previous Whiskey brother’s stories but I couldn’t wait to get my hands on Bullet’s story as soon as I read the blurb.

Bullet Whiskey is a hot, broody biker and helps run his families bar. As an ex special forces veteran and member of the Dark Knights Motorcycle Club, Bullet has seen some horrific things and due to the trauma in his past, he’s very protective of his family and friends and feels it’s his job to keep them safe.

Finlay Wilson is super sweet and girlie and recently moved back to her hometown to be near her sister and get her catering business up and running. She’s no stranger to loss and hopes a fresh start in a familiar place will help alleviate some of the pain she felt from her tragic loses.

When Finlay agreed to help the Whiskey family set up catering at their bar, she didn’t expect to feel the mixed emotions that Bullet evokes in her and that frustrates her as he’s arrogant and moody; the complete opposite to her sunny disposition.

Bullet doesn’t want a stranger working in his families bar and plans to get rid of Finlay as soon as he can but those plans change when her sweet and kind personality seeps into his hard shell and he can’t stop thinking about her or wanting her. Could Finlay be exactly what Bullet needs to heal the pain from his past and allow love into his life?

I loved this story; it’s the ultimate example of opposites attracting. Although he had a tough exterior, Bullet was a big softie inside and Finlay may have been sweet but Bullet brought out her feisty side so they complemented each other well. Although this is a standalone, I highly recommend reading the previous books first and I can’t wait for the next book in the series; I’m definitely a Whiskey brother’s fan.

Finlay Wilson has moved back home and she's looking forward to building her catering company and planting roots. The last thing she expected was the rough around the edges brute to come along and sweep her off her feet.

Bullet Whiskey has always been the protector never taking the time for himself. He's been through hell and back but scars he bears not the only ones that mark his skin. The last thing ever expected was a woman to accept and love him, flaws and all.

Outward appearance make them an unlikely couple, but you can't judge a book by it's cover.

While they may be perfectly matched, can they get over their past and embrace a future? Or will the scar be too deep to heal?

Driving Whiskey Wild is sizzling, heartwarming, captivating story filled with hope, forgiveness, and passion.

Finlay is a feisty little thing that isn't afraid to stand up for herself and always speaks her mind. She's a woman that is will be there for you no matter what. She loves with her whole heart and soul.

Bullet may appear rough and tough, but if you spend just a few minutes with him you'll learn just how kind and caring he is. He's need to protect everyone whether they're family, friends, or strangers is endearing.

The connection between Finlay and Bullet is intense and sizzles in and out of the bedroom. And that mouth on Bullet... hot damn. And I love how their passion on deeps the more they get to know each other and help each other heal from their past.

I always look forward to reading a Melissa Foster book and Driving Whiskey Wild doesn't disappoint. It's fun, witty, seductive, and bewitching.

If you are in need of an alpha hero that's a bit broken but has a heart of gold, then I highly recommend you pick up Driving Whiskey Wild and meet Bullet Whiskey.

I dare you not to fall in love with Bullet and Finlay.

The first Melissa Foster book I ever read was Tru Blue and I was so obsessed with that book I can't even begin to explain my love for it. So naturally I had to read the rest of the series and I am so happy that they have all been awesome. I just love the whole family and everything about these amazing characters and their perfect town.

Bullet had probably been the the most closed off Whiskey and I really didn't remember very much about him from the previous stories but that's probably more to do with my terrible memory than anything else. But from the first moment I started to read his story I knew he was right up my book boyfriend alley except you know more alpha and growly and masculine than the words book boyfriend bring to mind. I just couldn't get enough of him and I loved how OTT protective he was. He was just so perfect, I loved him.

Sweet and innocent Finlay was such a perfect contrast to him it was easy to see how she smoothed his sharp edges and complimented him to perfection. And I loved that despite how sweet she was she had a spine of steel and she went toe to toe with him whenever she felt the need without fear but she also was so understanding of who he was and his feelings that she could also just let the unimportant stuff go.

They were so beautiful to watch I spent the whole book in one big swoon. There were a few emotional moments and the "twist" (for lack of a better word) was something I saw coming from the very beginning but they way it was dealt with by both Bullet and Finlay made it so perfect I couldn't have wished for more.

Now my biggest issue is that I was dying to see Sarah and Bones get together from the tiny little hint in this book and now I have to wait til November? Seriously? That feels like forever right now for a book that I am sure is going to be as heartbreaking as it will be epic.

Brandon "Bullet" Whiskey has been living his civilian life for a while now, but still he's hunted by the remorse and nightmares of what he had suffered while on tour, when he was in the army...That's why he feels the need to protect his family and his beloved hometown, Peaceful Harbor.
Finlay Wilson moved back from Boston to stay with her sister and to finally realize her dream: having her own catering company, and she's on the right track to have it come true!
The two previously met at a common friends wedding and Finlay's first impression of Bullet wasn't, let's say, positive...but now they are "forced" to spend time together, as Finlay is in charge of helping with the renewal work that Dixie, Bullet's sister, wants to have for the family bar.
Finlay surely isn't a damsel in distress and will manage to keep up with Bullet's flirty, yet sometimes disrespectful behaviours...Is just when she finds out that Bullet is way more kind and selfless that he'd like to show, that she can't help but to fall in love with him, right at the same time as he falls for her...

The best part of this novel is the beginning, where you get to know the protagonists and one of the aspects I particularly loved was the siblings bond that Bullet and his brother Bones share, it was moving to see how the two rely on each other, while teasing and joking.
The strongest point (and weakest at the same time) of the entire story is that there's no 'great' plot twist or event that everybody would expect while reaching the ending...
Strong because it gives to the story a 'reality' vibe, it makes people empathize with little life situations that don't necessarily have to be astonishing.
Weak because there actually is an unexpected event, but you can spot it at the very beginning, so it looses the surprise factor.
The overall story is fast reading, engaging and I really (really!) liked it. Another point in its favor is the fact that it can be read as a stand-alone as well as part of the series.

I'll be continue reading Melissa Foster's books, I'm specially excited about the new "Wicked Whiskey Love" about my favourite Whiskey Brother,Wayne "Bones" Whiskey!

Driving Whiskey Wild is another captivating read in the Whiskey series. This book drew me in from the very first page. It is a story full of romance, humor, and some steamy heat. A well-written story with a plot moves at a good pace with a fresh, new storyline that is easy to read. It is captivating and kept my attention to the very end. This is a story that will make you smile and laugh. Melissa did a great job of taking common issues and show that with the right person you can overcome or learn to lean on others to help you deal with those issues. I couldn’t help but laugh at the little antics that Finlay pulled at the bar just to irk Bullet. Definitely a book that gives you all sorts of emotions.

The characters are well developed and easy to like. This author knows how to create a story with enough romance and action to keep the reader entertained and interested. The characters in this series have become like my own friends and family. I can’t wait to read more in this series to see what happens with the rest of the characters. Melissa does a great job of intertwining the characters from each book into the rest of them.

Driving Whiskey Wild is another book from a very gifted author that I had the pleasure to read. Melissa Foster is a very talented author that tells remarkable stories that captivate you and will have you not wanting to put the book down. I have not been disappointed yet! Definitely, an author that you will want to keep on your go-to list. If you enjoy reading a romance that is entertaining and full of humor, then you will thoroughly enjoy this book. A truly entertaining read.

Driving Whiskey Wild (The Whiskeys #3) by Melissa Foster

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

The Whiskeys know how to love unconditionally and are fiercely loyal.

This is the story of alpha male Brandon "Bullet" Whiskey, ex-Special Forces and Dark Knights Motorcycle Club and sweet as sugar caterer Finlay Wilson.

Both have painful issues from their pasts that they're trying to cope and deal with. Bullet is uber protective of those he loves or considers his, which includes their town along with family members. Big, broody and distant, he doesn't allow many to get close to him. That being said he has a heart the size of Texas, which we've witnessed before around Lincoln and Kennedy at Tru and Gemma's wedding. That's where Bullet and Finlay meet for the first time. What has to be one of the worst pickup lines in history gets him no where with Finaly. I won't spoil it, I'll let you discover it for yourself. But it was his interaction with the children that captured Finlay's interest enough to think there must be more to this handsome, tattooed, scary, behemoth of a male biker.

To set the stage, Whiskey Bros. is a family owned biker bar that could use some updating. Dixie, Bullet's sister in charge of the expansion hires upbeat and beautifully feminine Finaly to help, much to his distress. She's too sweet to work in a biker bar and he can't stand the idea of all those men pawing her or her having to deal with their BS.

One of my favorite scenes is early on when Finaly practically floats into the bar in one of her short, flirty dresses and passes out "biker" cookies along with little pink logo notepads for the customers to write down what foods they'd like on the menu, all in an effort for her to get to know the customer base and feel comfortable. Poor Bullet didn't know what hit him. His need to claim her even though he knew he had no right was waylaid by his mom, Red. It's this scene in particular that his mom imparts some wisdom that has him totally baffled, yet he attempts to apply it.

When he tells Finlay "You don't have to be a biker girl. Just be my girl." Yeah Bullet you don't need cheesy lines when you can say romantic things like this and mean them! At that point I was like, OKAY I'm all in!

These two work through their fears and issues toward their HEA, each helping the other along the way. We get to see friends and family members from previous books and they add to the story and help it along. We also meet a new woman that I believe will be Wayne "Bones" Whiskey's love interest. Can't wait for that one.

Other WHISKEY Books in this series: TRU BLUE (Truman Gritt) and TRULY, MADLY, WHISKEY (Bear Whiskey) My advice? If you haven't read Melissa Foster what are you waiting for?

Mark Twain is quoted as saying, “Too much of anything is bad, but too much good whiskey is barely enough.”  I am completely confident that he said this as a foreshadow of what Melissa Foster was going to bring us with these Whiskey men! Holy, hotness! This family is a 180° turn from the typical "pretty boy" types. Yes, I love all of those that Melissa has written about, too; however, this family has burned their way to the top of my favorites' list in the same way a good whiskey burns on the way down your throat.

When I first started this book, I was skeptical about how two people who are completely opposite would end up together. I expected a short-lived fling that would end because of the significant differences; however, that's not in Melissa's fashion to leave us without a perfect pairing. Kind of like putting whiskey in your burgers, chili, fudge, pecan pies, chess squares....the list is endless on delicious possibilities.

Bullet and Finlay honestly surprised me. They brought out such a variety of pieces in one another than you can't help but fall in love with both of them! He's gruff, rough, and tough while she's dainty and refined. Funny how our perceptions can easily be deceived by what is on the outside. It's what they have deep down that really sets the burn afire!

If you haven't read a Melissa Foster book yet, you NEED to start with Tru Blue (forever my #1 fave!) and then work into the Whiskey series. I promise that you won't be anything but on fire from that Whiskey burn!

I have volunteered to share my review and all the opinions are 100% my own.

Bullet Whiskey is a Special Forces veteran & Dark Knights MC member who lives his life to protect his family, their bar, and small hometown. It doesn't matter that he battles the demons from his days in the military, as he doesn't talk to anyone about that, as it's his secret painful past. He's never been interested in a woman until the day he comes face to face with sweet Finlay Wilson at a family wedding, and invites her to take a ride on the bullet train, to which she turns down. And he can't get her out of his mind, but when he finds out his sister asks her to help them expand their biker bar, he's not down with that at all, in fact, he plans to get rid of her right away, as he doesn't want her around all the other rough bikers. What he doesn't count on is that Finlay won't be scared off. Well, this book was amazingly fantastic, and I LOVED EVERY MINUTE OF IT! The brilliant Melissa Foster never stops writing masterpieces, and Driving Whiskey Wild is another in a long line of them. Bullet came off kinda of mean at the beginning, and yet, I couldn't help but fall in love with his gruff self anyway. And Finlay kept me laughing, especially during their interactions, which were witty & hilarious! Together, the sparks flew out of my kindle, and while the sexy times took a minute to explode, the fiery flames finally ignited to light the sheets up! And the highly entertaining cast of secondaries were present & accounted for to keep me laughing, especially a drunken girls night. Not to mention the reality of PTSD told in a fantastic way had my eyes leaking a time or two which made the angst factor high. This was a great story that I couldn't get enough of, and I CANNOT WAIT for Uncle Boney's story, so I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!

Driving Whiskey Wild by Melissa Foster captivated my attention.

AHH!! I have read and loved many novels by Melissa in the past, however, this one has quickly become my all time favourite read!

Whiskey and Finlay will steal your attention. They have each been through so much in their past that they are forced to try and move past, that you can't help but feel for them. When they meet one another, they are so completely different, yet, they have so many qualities and facts from their past that make them similar. It is because of this, your heart will beat for them, and you head will make you root for them.

I honestly loved this novel and every single part of it. I cannot wait to go back and reread it again in the future!

5/5 Stars!

The Whiskey parents raised quite the blunt, caring, and upstanding brood. Just like Bear, Bullet is quite the responsible human being ... and, like Bear, he's taken on a little too much. Not only is he running the family bar, but he's doing just about every heroic thing under the sun (while fighting the hero title with everything in him). Along with rest of the Dark Knights, he protects the town from any rough elements, does charity work when it is needed, and steps in whenever there's trouble. It's been fine when all he had in his life was his family and the town. But now a fiesty wonan has caught his eye and his life might just be headed for a change.

Finlay resists her attraction to Bullet a bit at first - they don't seem like they'd have much in common and his pickup lines could REALLY use some work. But after they spend some time together, she realizes that there is more to him than she thought and their attraction may not be something to ignore. It's pretty hard to ignore a built, stubborn, cocky (but uniquely charming) protector that shows his heart is just as big as his ... shoes.

There's really not a lot of drama here. Both Bullet and Finaly have a little contemplation they need to do at first as they decide whether getting involved is the right thing to do. Plus, Bullet has some residual PTSD that he needs to address, but overall Driving Whiskey Wild is one of those slow-burn romances. We're there with them as they make their way from dancing around each other to a HEA ending. It's sweet, sexy, and satisfying to read.

Having read the tale of the first Whiskey brother, I was intrigued to read of another. This is by no means a series, although the book is about the same family. It is one of my favorite standalones that Melissa Foster has written.

Bullet Whiskey - if that isn't a name that says stay away from, I don't know what is - runs the family bar. He's in the "family" motorcycle club. He doesn't have time for people outside his family. He is really annoyed when the rest of the family tells his sister, Dixie, it's okay to hire someone to help with renovations to the bar.

Dixie hires Finlay Wilson. Finlay is the direct opposite of Bullet. She always shows up in sweet dresses. She is a light in a dark place. And Bullet is attracted to her, to her light.

The two of them go out on a date eventually. The problem is Bullet shows up hours late and covered in blood. He stopped at an accident on his way and managed to save a family from a burning car. While Finlay might have initially been annoyed he didn't call her, she cleans him up. I don't think Bullet, other than when he was a small boy, has ever had anyone take care of him before.

The two continue to date and find they have a tie that will bind them together forever. It was a twist I would have never guessed.

You will need to pick up your own copy of Driving Whiskey Wild  to find out what ties Bullet and Finlay together. It will be a fantastic read and well worth your time. I have volunteered to share my review and all the opinions are 100% my own.

**3.5 stars**

This book is tremendously sweet!

I loved the tortured and tormented big, bad "Brutus" who was out to protect everyone in his family. I honestly love reading about guys like Bullet because I love to see that protective instinct in them. Not only that, I love the fact that they can offer that protection and actually back it up. That being said, there was no drama here. It was just . . . sweet. Not that that's a bad thing, I honestly just expect books like tis to have some sort of drama, some saving or bg sacrifice that's worked out in the end, or a lot more angst. This book didn't have that, although Bullet definitely had his demons. The bit of strife that did come up was extremely minimal (but I did like that they talked like adults vs being immature nitwits).

I loved Finlay's character, all innocence and huge heart smiling at everyone and brightening their day. I enjoyed the scene where she meets Tinkerbell. I liked that she questioned everything without being a complete snob and I loved the relationship development between her and Bullet. I liked that they didn't fight it just because it didn't seem likely, complete opposites and all that jazz. Also, I'd love for her to cook for me!

Side note: The full sex scenes . . . HOT!

I don't think this book was meant to be anything other than exactly what it is; a love story. However, it was a tad bit too perfect. Overall, I did enjoy it and would recommend it to others who want a nice love story and I would definitely read more in the series with that expectation in mind.

Another Whiskey is gonna met his match and damn if it wasn’t so damn good.

After Bear, it’s time for the wounded hero, Bullet to give us a shot of the Whiskey charm.

Bullet was charming, cocky, arrogant at times, an alpha guy for sure, with more than meets the eye. A man trying to fight against the shadows of his past, tormenting him, hiding it to the world. Being part of a knit tight family, welcoming the ones who needed one, Bullet was the kind guy with bad boy attitude and a heart of gold, dedicated to his family and friends.

Finlay stumbled into the Whiskeys. And Bullet didn’t know what to do with her, a woman who didn’t seem to belong in their world but surprisingly fitted naturally. She might seemed a little uptight but she was definitely not, a firecracker, enthusiastic, who managed to put a smile on his face and keeping him on his toes.

Once a Whiskey finds the right woman, let’s just say that they won’t settle for less, with their caveman ways and protectiveness. And I liked it a lot. In spite of the sugary sweet side of their story, seeing how they worked together as a team, struggling with their issues added some great balance to the story.

They both looked like they didn’t belong for sure, Finlay was the sunshine into Bullet’s life. The beginning of their story was kinda fun to read about. I lost count about how many times they made me smile.

I have to say that I am definitely addicted to the Whiskey charm, reading about this family. It’s genuine, insanely cute, smoking hot with a strong hint of sugary sweet.

Driving Whiskey Wild is the third book in The Whiskey Family series. I read the first book, Tru Blue and really enjoyed it. I somehow skipped the second book, Truly Madly Whiskey so I'll have to remedy that. At any rate, this held up well as a stand alone. I didn't feel lost having missed the second book. Characters from both books do show up here and it was nice to catch up with them. This is Brandon (Bullet) and Finlay's story.

The best part about this book was Bullet. I loved his character. It's always fun to read about a big alpha male with a heart of gold who also has a soft spot for kids and his dog. He has made it onto my book boyfriend list. Finlay, however, I had a harder time warming up to her. I didn't doubt she had a big heart and cared deeply for Bullet. However, it really grated on me every time she questioned his motorcycle club and its rules. That bothered me. If you are going to be involved with someone from a club like that, then you have to take it all on. They won't change just because you think they are archaic. I also didn't get how she grew up in the town and didn't know much about the club. They seemed to be a fairly prominent part of the town, so I was puzzled by her complete lack of knowledge of the good they do and how it all works.

Anyway, this did end up being a sweet romance that I ultimately enjoyed. I do look forward to reading Bones's and Dixie's stories in the future.

Melissa Foster takes you on a wild ride with Bullet and Finley. Finley has been hired to help with the kitchen and food at Whiskey Bros. bar. While Bullet is all bad boy biker wearing leather and tats, Finley is all girly girl. She loves wearing pretty dresses and high heels. That is part of what Bullet loves about her. Bullet is all about family and protecting them at all cost. He considers Finley as part of that family to. He will do anything to keep her safe.

Bullet has been through a lot and seen a lot but refuses to talk about it until Finley gets him to break down his walls and open up to her. For Finley there is nothing that she wouldn't do for Bullet or his family. Bullet calls her his Lollipop because she is so sugary sweet and a lollipop is the best kind of sugar rush there is. Because of things that Bullet has been through he seeks comfort from his rescue dog Tinkerbell. Tinkerbell helps keep him calm and helps him sleep at night. However, Finley has a fear of dogs stemming from an attack when she was younger. Bullet helps her get over her fear of dogs knowing that he needs and wants both in his life.

When these two really come together you can't help but fall in love with them. Bullet is the perfect mix of bad boy biker and cuddly teddy bear. He is hard and soft in all the right places. While Finley is all girly girl wearing dresses and heels she also knows how to put on jeans and boots and be a bad bitch and ride. These two look like opposites on the outside but are a perfect match for each other.

Driving Whiskey Wild is a beautiful blend of opposites attract, small town romance, MC Club, and ex-military! Finlay is moving back to Peaceful Harbor to be close to her sister and hopefully start a catering business. Bullet Whiskey is out of the military a little worse for wear but running the family bar. He is gruff, suffering from PTSD, and not thrilled to have Finlay around trying to change the bar. Finlay is an adorable ray of sunshine that is completely contrary to Bullet. She is pink, frilly dresses. He is black leather. They are perfect for each other!

I really enjoyed both Bullet and Finlay as characters. Finlay is more than just a sweet, naive woman which I appreciated. It was nice to see a heroine who was girly, generous, kind, and not a naive ninny. I also appreciated that Bullet was more than a brusque jerk suffering from PTSD. He has some lingering struggles, but they are not the only thing about him. Both Finlay and Bullet are layered and dynamic. Their relationship is just as layered and its progression was natural and enjoyable.

There isn’t much danger or suspense to the story. The plot centers around these two building a relationship and seeing if they can make something work. They both have a past that creates some blocks, but they navigate them in mature ways. If you like your romance to be sophisticated and not filled with unnecessary angst, Driving Whiskey Wild is the perfect pick for a weekend binge! The characters of this small town are endearing and you will want to come back to Peaceful Harbor!

While Driving Whiskey Wild is the third book in The Whiskeys Series it can be read as a standalone which is exactly how I read it. Did I feel lost at all because I hadn't read the previous books? Not at all. This is one of the things I like most about Melissa Fosters books, you can read any of them in any order and never feel lost, but honestly her books are so enjoyable you'll want to read them all.

Bullet and Finlay have this opposites attract, bad boy / good girl, chemistry that was so hot I wondered if my kindle would melt. My heart broke for this tough, motorcycle club leather wearing, badass biker. He went through so much in his life always the protector of others even when it took the ultimate toll on him leaving him with a sever case of PTSD after being medically discharged from the military. Tinkerbell, Bullet's rottweiler, seemed to be the only thing that helped him with his flashbacks, well that was until Finlay came into his life.

I love this cute little chef, Finlay was dedicated to starting up her own catering business but I'm pretty sure she didn't expect the changes that would come to her life when she agrees to help Dixie with the expansion of Whiskeys Bro's. I enjoyed watching Finlay overcome some of her fears with the guidance of Bullet, this big strong man had a tender heart and an even more tender hand when it came to Finlay, something neither of them were use to.

This was a sweet and sexy read that had me tearing up a few times so you may want to keep tissues handy just in case.

Two unlikely hearts collide as Melissa Foster once again wraps a man around our hearts and squeezes! Her heroes always have such a strong voice and personality, and Bullet Whiskey keeps up with the trend. He’s a tough as nails, dirty talking man who melts when it comes to kids and family! I adored him from the start, and look forward to seeing glimpses of him again in future books. Great characters, with a super easy to fall into dialogue and plot.

Bullet Whiskey is a gruff, take no attitude type of guy. He loves his family, his dog and his motorcycle club and will do anything to protect what’s his. When his sister brings a sweet little thing on board to expand the offerings on the menu at the family bar, he’s not sure what to make of her. He wants her on sight … but she already blew him off once, and she’s too petite, classy and sweet for the likes of him!

Finlay Wilson needs this job in order to get her catering business off the ground now that she’s moved back to her hometown in order to be close to family again. She’s had a lot of loss in her life, and she just wants a chance to hold those dear to her close for awhile. She really shouldn’t be drawn to Bullet at all … he’s so totally the opposite of anything she’s ever wanted. He adores things she’s terrified of, he’s borderline obnoxiously blunt, and he’s basically sex on wheels … so why does she find herself virtually swooning every time he gives her that steamy look??

Bullet is exactly the kind of alpha hero I adore...built like a brick house, gruff, tatted, grumpy and a dirty talker. And underneath is a sweet, gooey marshmallow center; one that loves his family, will protect friends, that family and strangers alike. A strong man who’s willing to put aside his wants and needs to do/be what others need. That’s he kind of man a woman should hang onto with both hands and never let go.
Finley is just as sweet as can be; petite and feminine as a pixie, with a big heart...and a strong will. She may look like an angel, but she’s not about to let this crass, wild, but sexy bar owner boss her around. She knows what she’s doing and this muscular mountain Is not going to stand in her way.
These two are an inferno from the get-go. Their preconceived notions about the other are quickly shattered, and it makes that instant attraction gen hotter. A classic case of opposites attract, but deep inside, they’re more alike than not.
I honestly did not want this book to end. I enjoyed every look, every touch, every conversation between Bullet and Finley. I loved his relationship with his siblings, and his parents. I ached for all he went through and the secrets he hid. I think I found my new book boyfriend!
Everything I expect from a Melissa Foster book is in this story...sexy times, real-life situations, family who love one another and a couple to root for. Yet again, she knocked it out of the park!

Melissa Foster's Whiskeys series is back, and I must say that I've missed reading about this particular collection of characters. I liked getting to know Bullet better as well as seeing how Finlay would fare with someone like him, but then we've also got the supporting characters who seem to always vie for my attention simply because they pique my interest. Of course, there are also characters from past books that make reappearances, and seeing how far they've come in their own lives put a smile on my face. As has always been the case with Foster's books, family is a continuing theme, and the love each of the main characters have had from the first book to this third one highlight the unique bond they all share with those who mean most. The first few chapters were a bit slow-going, but when things picked up, I found myself fully engaged with both Bullet and Finlay and their story. I know there's at least one more novel that's going to be released later this year as part of the series--Wicked Whiskey Love due in November!--and I'm excited to see if it lives up to expectations for it. For now, Driving Whiskey Wild gets four stars. ♥

Don't go after your sweetheart with your brawn, baby. Go after her with your heart.

That's the biggest and best thing that sets you apart from every other tough guy out there." (Excerpt- Driving Whiskey Wild by Melissa Foster - Red & Bullet, a mother's heartfelt words to her son)

Not often do I stumble across the perfect words to describe my feelings, but Ms. Foster made it easy. With a limited amount of words, she summed up the enigma that is Brandon "Bullet" Whiskey. Bullet looked like a warrior, but he had the heart of a champion. I've read many Melissa Foster novels and although I have loved all of them, the Whiskeys are my favorite characters of hers. Why? This family proves that a good heart shouldn't be judged by how you look, but the things you do. The Whiskeys may look tough and at times act tough, but their greatest strength is their ability to love unconditionally. Bullet has to learn to trust his heart when he finds his soulmate. Finlay is his greatest weakness, but she could be his everlasting reward. Not many authors have a direct line to the heart, Melissa Foster has that gift and she does wonders with it.

Driving Whiskey Wild by Melissa Foster is the third book in The Whiskeys Series.
Every book can easily be read as a standalone. I recommend to read the books in order. The previous books are: True Blue - Truman and Gemma's story; and Truly Madly Whiskey - Bear and Crystal's book.
Bullet - Brandon - Whiskey is a Special Forces veteran, a rough and haunted man with deep issues. It takes only one look at gorgeous, sweet Finlay Wilson and he knew she's his one.
Finlay Wilson is new in town. She's about to build her catering business and works hard.
Finlay is what Bullet never wanted, she's sugary sweet, afraid of his dog and bike - but he's powerless when it comes to her. They're from different worlds, but she heals him in parts he never dreamt possible.

I started reading with the expectation to read another MC romance. And yes, you'll find the members of the Dark Knights MC. But first and foremost this is a story about love, pain, hurt, healing and second chances in life.
I greatly enjoyed this beautiful story and I loved the writing and the characters, 5 stars.

They say total opposites attract. Melissa Foster created 2 very opposites that fell in love!

I’m starting to love the Whiskey family. A family that is loyal, hard working , protective but very much lovable. I’m usually not into the beards and tattoo’s but with the Whiskey brothers how can you not fall in love. Bullet has his demons. He needs his open space because of his PTSD. So, in walks feisty Finlay. Finlay is all girly girl.. pink and flowery. Total opposite of Bullet. Who is there to help expand the foods at the Whiskey family bar. Bullet fell fast for Finley from the moment he laid his eyes on her. Not going to give the plot away but this book will have you laughing, crying, and then laughing again within minutes of each emotion. Down the road you will see Bullet and Finley have a sad connection too. It helps them both fight a demon within.

When Melissa writes, no matter the location, you can place yourself in that spot and imagine everything going on around you. To me, this is the sign of a fantastic author who creates great images for you while reading a book!

Bullet is the eldest Whiskey, an ex-special forces veteran and a member of the Dark Knights MC. He is loyal with an instinct to protect and his helping the family manage the bar.

Finley is sweet and sassy and has come to town so that she can be close to her sister. She is trying to launch her catering business so when she the opportunity to work at the bar she is one step closer to her dream.

These two couldn’t be more different as everything Bullet likes Finley is afraid of and because of his past Bullet doesn’t believe he deserves someone like Finley in his life. Finley is outgoing and lively and she manages to work through the walls he has built around himself but will she be able to help him overcome his past?

I loved these two together as Bullet brings out the adventurous side that Finlay didn’t know she had and Finley brightens Bullet’s life. It is always great to catch up with the Whiskeys and this is a great addition to the series. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Brandon "Bullet" Whiskey is the 3rd book from this amazing series that's not to be missed. It is an emotional, sweet read that still has the serious heat! we love from Melissa Foster. Bullet is definitely the kinda guy that shy Finlay should stay away from but as complete polar opposites they are very much attracted to eachother, there's only been one other connection that Finlay had with someone in the past and there were "sparks" BUT with Bullet its like "Lightning" and extremely beautiful. Finlay intrigues Bullet like no other he has never met anyone like this feminine, smart little waif who was a hair more than five feet......" While Bullet is rough, gruff, intimidating and has a heart of gold willing to protect his family and those he considers family - once the Whiskeys take you in, your in and nothing will make you want to leave.
I have loved all Melissa Fosters books since The Snow Sisters and once again you will not be disappointed with her latest novel, go on jump on the #BulletTrain.......

Driving Whisky Wild By Melissa Foster

Melissa has not disappointed once again. Tears and laughter abound in this wonderfully written love story.

Bullet and Finley are so completely opposite no one ever thought they would get together. The big, tough guy with the sweet, little, dress wearing chef/baker. But the two worlds collide and boom! Stars explode and the atmosphere gets hot!

Bullet has his secrets, secrets of his past, the war he fought in and growing up. Finley thinks she is broken and cannot love again since her love was killed in the war. But together, can they come together and fix the broken pieces and love each other?

Bullet melts my heart when he says to Finley “You’ve got me under your spell lollipop, and I hope you never break it, because I sure do like you, and it’s not just physical anymore.”

Once again, Melissa’s writing grabs you and brings you right into the story. You cry with the characters and feel like you are a part of the family.

Loved the book!

SUGAR RUSH!

Driving Whiskey Wild is a sweet, sexy read, and that will have you devouring Melissa Foster's words. She pulled me into Bullet and Finlay's story with her seductive and romantic writing style.

"It was that innocence that had flipped some switch inside Bullet and made him want to sin her up and protect her at the same time. "

Bullet Whiskey's bad boy vibes gave me all the feels. But it was his gentle loving side that truly melted my heart. The side of him that only Finlay's Wilson could bring out.

When Finlay walked into the Whiskey's family bar she had no idea how addictive Bullet Whiskey would be.

" She pulled open the heavy door and was assaulted by the smell of leather, metal and Whiskey."

But I did! Bullet was everything. A HOT, strong alpha, who had me lusting for him through the pages of my kindle. Haha no shame. He and Finlay were pure perfection together.

I can't wait to read more by this author.

Brutus would never be a teddy bear. Regardless of him being in a Melissa Foster book and regardless of him being a Whiskey. I figured he was going to be the odd one out and not fit the normal mold.

The pains and fears and skeletons in the closet that Bullet and Finlay each have are so real and the way they work together to work them out… I am speechless. The emotions are so raw and so real, I felt every emotion they were feeling. When they giggled or laughed, I giggled. When they cried – I cried. (Yes, I cried real tears throughout this book.) You couldn’t help but feel what they were feeling when loving or fighting.

There was a huge twist that I never, not for one second, saw coming, and I think I cried as hard as Finlay did during that twist. It was absolutely heart wrenching.

I cannot say enough how much I loved this book and will definitely be reading it again. It was a quicker read – only took me two nights – and I will definitely be enjoying it over and over again!

The Whiskey family has become one of my favorites in Melissa Foster's realm of stories. Driving Whiskey Wild continues the family saga with Bullet and Finlay's story . . . And it's time for you to fall in love with this brute of a hero and tiny blonde nymph of a girl. Both Bullet and Finlay's have suffered devastating losses in their lives and fear they will never find a forever love. After first meeting in a brashly attempted approach by Bullet at Truman and Gemma's wedding, Finlay gives Bullet the brush off. However, now that she has returned to her hometown to be closer to her sister and relocate her catering business, they are thrown together when Finlay helps Bullet's sister with the expansion of the Whiskey Bro's bar. How will the constant connection with barkeep Bullet and their interaction affect their relationships? What triggers their personal connection, and how are previous events in their lives interwoven into their story? Grab hold of this book and fall in love with Bullet and Finlay . . . And Tinkerbell!

Finlay is saving for a catering business and knows her stuff until she can do so shes working at a biker bar with her friends to help bring up their business. Bullet Whiskey is a veteran and is in the biker club he's tough with a heart of gold. He's obviously tough af with this own demons and he refuses to let Finlay help out knowing how things can get but he just can't help but want to be there for her.

This was such a great book. I loved seeing this opposites attraction kinda thing that was going on. I loved how fiercely protective Bullet was, even if he was over the top he really did try to do what was right. I loved seeing the attraction between the two you just can't help but love the two. I enjoyed seeing how they worked together and helped eachother when it was needed and at this point it seems like i'm babbling. Honestly its hard to talk about what I really loved about this book without spoiling the book but trust me when I say your not going to want to miss this book.

I definitely would ride the Bullet train!! I love, love, loved Bullet and Finlay’s story. Bullet is the protector of the family. He takes care of everyone and always has. His military career has taken him places no one wants to go and he still suffers because of it. He is gruff on the outside, but a heart of gold on the inside. A hot, sexy, tatted up, motorcycle riding man who would do anything for his family or those he cares about.
Finlay is as opposite Bullet as they come. Sweet natured, happy, with a positive outlook. She has agreed to help the Whiskey family get the kitchen running in their bar. Bullet has been attracted to her since Tru and Gemma’s wedding, but he doesn’t want her in the bar for multiple reasons. He thinks she’s too nice and innocent for a bar like Whiskey Bro’s-he doesn’t want drunk, horny guys going after her. The main reason though-he’s attracted to her and doesn’t think he’s good enough for her.
Melissa Foster enthralls you with her characters. She hooks you from the first page and leaves you wanting more when you get to the end. Read this book-you won’t be disappointed!!!

I received this book with the understanding that I could leave a voluntary and honest review.

Though this book is part of a series it can be read as a stand alone. In this book we get Bullet Whiskey's story and we get Finlay Wilson's story as well. When these two meet they seem like they can't stand one another. However that couldn't be farther from the truth. There is something that the other needs but pride and a little bit of fear are keeping these two from grabbing hold and never letting go. Can they let go and grab hold of the other or will they loose the one thing that could make the world a better?

This is another amazing book by this author. There are some twists and turns that I really want to tell you about. However I don't want to ruin it for another readers. I will say this book will send you on an emotional roller-coaster that will have you hooked from the beginning to the very end. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.

Driving Whiskey Wild is my first audio book by Melissa Foster. It is also my first audio book with Paul Woodson narrating. He gave this story so much life and it couldn't have been more perfect.

Melissa Foster writes an MC book like no other I have read. I typically don't care for them but I figured I would give it a shot since she is one of my favorite authors. The Whiskeys are tough and run a biker club so I wasn't expecting to like them because it's just not my thing. However, they are also hard working, have a strong set of values, and stay true to themselves no matter what. You get the tough, hard hitting story that comes with an MC romance but you also get some of the sweet, tender romance that Melissa Foster is great at.

As far as Paul Woodson goes, his narration gave the characters so much. He set the tone for each character and I could really feel the emotions in his voice.

This third book in The Whiskeys series is about the Special Ops brother who is scarred from war. He is convinced his darkness is too much for any woman, especially the new chef who appears to be all sweetness and light.

Both have their secrets and fears. When they find they are attracted to each other, they begin to untangle their past. Some interesting things come to light, but the most gratifying is their love for each other.

I loved reading this book and the series.

This story was so sweet and heartbreaking at the same time.

Bullet Whiskey is the typical sexy alpha male, and protector of his family. His time in the military/special forces has left him broken and fighting with his demons. These demons tend to make Bullet push away those who he cares about.

Finlay is this sweet girl who Bullet has had his eyes set on since his brothers wedding.
After rejecting a ride on the Bullet Train, and moving back home Finlay is now temporarily working to at Whiskey Bro's.

Now with Finlay so much closers Bullet will do anything in his power to convince her to give him a chance.
Their romance comes easy and perfect but will it last when their pasts collide?

Finlay and Bullet's story is perfect. Bullet is everything an alpha male should be. I have yet to read any of the other Whiskey Brothers stories but after reading Bullet's I will definitely be reading them.
This is a perfect read, you won't regret it.

The first in a series starts off with the broodiest, grumpiest yet sexiest Whiskey brother, Bullet. Here is a man who has been through hell and back and now his world is turning upside down. He doesn't know why he is into the sweet, sexy and in his eyes purest woman ever Finlay Wilson. She is like a breath of fresh air and the only one to bring him calm and peace. Now she is everything opposite of what he has known in his life and cannot let her go. Melissa Foster totally rocked in this book and made me fall for these two hard. There is so much in this family I cannot wait to find out who is next. Bullet and Finlay worth to get right now readers will fall hard for Bullet.

"I received an eBook copy from the publisher for the purpose of an honest review. I was not compensated for this review: all conclusions are my own."
