How can you not love a hunky Remington? This story is a friends to lovers and so much more story. Rush and Jayla have been skiing together for 15 years, both in love with the other, but neither willing to explore the relationship until now. This was a great story especially with all of their history. I loved imagining the pictures that were taken before every competition. They know everything about each other, except how the other feels about them.
BJ Harrison did a fabulous job narrating this story. He brought life and images to the story with his telling. I loved hearing his new characters of Jace and the guys at the nightclub. He does a mean southern drawl and I hope to hear more of it in future books.

“You’re too big a part of my life to be my little anything. You’re my everything.”
Olympic gold medallists skiers Jayla Stone and Rush Remington had been best of friends since they were young, and it was only at some point where Jack gave him a talk when he finally saw the light...
They have known each other’s quirks, strengths, and weaknesses, even their darkest secrets. But there is something that Rush kept to himself, he was trying to find the right time to tell her. After months of thinking, he realizes that filling his bed with different kinds of women doesn’t make him complete. There was still that void inside of him that needed to be filled. He starts to changed his womanizing way, and he realized that the only woman who can make him feel complete is right beside him all along – now he just needed the perfect time to tell her what he feels...
But of course, Jayla was dating a prick, she was keeping a devastating secret from him, and of course, she was confuse whether to cross the friend zone or not. They had always been together during trainings, and Rush didn’t want women during these times to avoid losing focus. It didn’t stop Rush from finally telling her, he had waited for so long, he couldn’t wait much longer. She needed to hear it from him.
One toe-curling kiss turned both their worlds around and changes everything between the both of them. Jayla was worried about his past, and Rush was worried about her secret that might affect her future. Her secret could both jeopardize not just her career but her newfound relationship with Rush. Would their love be enough to surpass it all?
I love their friendship and the value they put into it. No one could blame Jay for being careful with regards on how they should proceed with their relationship, and keeping her secret. She was scared, because being a skier is all she had ever wanted in her life. But Rush, his effort had not been put to waste. He would do just about anything for Jayla. He was threading carefully in their newfound relationship, but he was doing well. He gives her advice not just as a boyfriend but as a fellow competitor and skier. He knew how strong Jayla was, and how much she loved the sport. I was just glad he knew where to put his limits and give some ultimatums. As for Jayla – this strong, amazing girl sometimes surprises me, annoys me and frustrates me. But at the same time, she makes one big decision at the near-end of the novel that made me want to applaud her.
This is the second to the last Remington who’s about to say goodbye to his bachelorhood, and embrace a relationship that has been long-overdue. One of the strongest foundation of a relationship would always be friendship, and nothing beats being with your best friend. Sure, it will scare the heck of you when you are about to cross that thin line – but the rewards would be worth it.
“Kissing you was better than winning the Olympics.”

Rush and Jayla are Olympic skiers and have been best friends for years. Rush has been known as a playboy, but after a comment from his brother Rush realizes he's in love with his best friend.
Jayla has been in love with Rush for years and has never said anything to him. She has finally decided it's time to move on and get over her feelings for him.
I absolutley loved Rush and Jayla together and enjoyed seeing their friendship grow into something more.
I enjoyed Slope of Love, by reading it and by listening to it. B.J. Harrison has a voice that is easy to listen to and makes the story come to life.

This is definitely my top Remington book so far. I love best friends to lovers kind of books. I especially love it when I get a reformed player thrown in the mix. So this book was basically perfect for me. I loved Rush and Jayla. Their friendship was so awesome. They could share basically everything with each other, and fell in love amidst jealousy, injury, past hurts, and present obstacles of all kinds. I found myself smiling so many times during this story. And those are the kind that stick with me for a while. I'm so excited to read more books by Melissa Foster in hopes that I can experience more moments to smile.

Another wonderful book by Melissa Foster, and narration by BJ Harrison. I just love the voices. He is smooth and relaxing.
You have some Olympic Skiers come and help teach kids to ski, and figure out there lives.
Rush has been been best friends with Jayla since they were 13. He has been a womanizer thru there friendship, and Jayla has been madly in love with him. Rush is ready to confess his love, but he thinks he may have waited to long.
Jayla has given up on Rush to see her as anything more. She starts dating another member of the team, and she’s keeping a big secret from the coach and everyone. Her should his injured again.
Very good love story with a lot of heart.

Welcome back to the Remington Family. Next up, bad boy Rush. Being friends with Jayla for the past 15 years has been easy. Making her see that he's changed his playboy ways and wants her for the next 50 years, not so easy.
Rush Remington has always been a "fly by the seat of your pants" kinda guy. The only person who's stood by his side is Jayla. Fellow competitive skier, best friend, sexy little minx. One night, one serious chat with his brother, and Rush comes to realize, he's not so happy with his reputation, with who he has become.
Jayla has loved Rush since they were kids. She knows his rules about women. She knows his past. She also knows that's he's not ready to settle down or if he will ever be. So she keeps her love to herself. Never telling anyone. When all the rules change, she doesn't know which way to turn.
Melissa Foster, keeps her Love In Bloom series, floating with each additional novel she brings to it. I love the family dynamic she's brought to the table. Can't wait for Kurt's book!

Jayla Stone has been in love with her best friend since she was thirteen, and while she wishes more than anything that they could be more than friends, she knows him better than to think he can change his bed-hopping ways. So she'll settle for movie nights and gummy bears, innocent touches that set her blood on fire, and hiding her feelings, no matter how strong they are.
Rush Remington's eyes have been closed for far too long. But now that they're open, he sees Jayla for the woman she is, and that's not a woman he can be “just friends” with. But she's dating someone else, she's hiding something from him, and any attempt at a relationship might damage not just their friendship but also their careers. But keeping his feelings to himself just isn't an option anymore.
The Verdict: I don't get it. I really thought Flames of Love was the best book in the series, but then I read about half a chapter of this one, and I have a new love.
Jayla has been pining for Rush forever. He's her best friend, and she knows him better than anyone, which is why she's also certain that anything beyond friendship between the two of them can never happen. Now, I can't say I understood or related to the athletic side of her at all. Sports require movement and exercise and discipline, and I'm vehemently against all those things. But there was something about the way she loved Rush, their easy friendship and the way Jayla constantly reminded herself of their “just friends” status that completely made sense to me — even though I've never been in those shoes, either. Guess that just speaks to the quality of character development.
And Rush… Well, I should have had more trouble liking him. While I'm not entirely opposed to reading stories that include a guy who whores around for a while, they rarely completely win me over. But that usual hesitation was out the window the moment Rush's thoughts centered on Jayla. Beginning the story with Rush already starting to realize his feelings for Jayla and having changed his ways — and without doing that whole macho jerk denial thing! — was a nice change from the norm. His feelings were immediately believable, and the way he put her first in everything was beyond endearing.
Instead of two strangers falling for each other, Slope of Love is a story of lifelong friends discovering a deeper relationship. With their friendship on the line, there's plenty of hesitation, second guessing, and proving to themselves that it's real — all with some of the best chemistry I've read!

Overall Rating: 4.5 Rockin’ ★★★★☆
Rush and Jayla have been friends for fifteen years since they meet at ski camp as teenagers. The love of skiing and completion through the years only made their bond stronger. Jayla had loved Rush from the day she meet him at the age of thirteen but he had only looked at her as a BFF. She had always been there for him, listening to all of his escapades with other women. However this year seemed different…Rush seemed different.
Rush had planned on revealing to Jayla that he finally realized he was truly, madly, and infuriatingly in love with her.
Rush had looked forward to this time with Jayla teaching at a volunteer ski camp for teens and training for the final competition of the season. When Jayla shows up with a boyfriend, he has to ask himself is he too late. Has Jayla moved on without him? Rush is relieved when Jayla breaks up with Marcus and he has the chance to show her that he has changed.
Her comment about his conquests nagged at him-and pissed him off. He needed to tell her how he’d changed, and damn it, he needed to tell her why he’d changed.
One kiss changes everything between Jayla and Rush. He can no longer deny the feeling he has for her and she is hesitant to believe that he has really changed. If she opens up her heart to him and he walks away it will destroy her. She will lose her best friend.
“I know you think our friendship is a reason, but I see it as a foundation for so much more…The truth was, he didn’t know how to be just friends with Jayla now that he’d opened his heart to her.
For fifteen years they had always told each other everything. Jayla is keeping a secret from him about her shoulder injury. She is afraid that her injury will be the end of competitive skiing. Rush tells her that it will not matter to him because he knows who she is!
Was she being stubborn and stupid? She loved him. Oh, how she loved him.
Jayla and Rush will have to face the truth about how they really feel and decide if there is a future for them as a couple.

Would I recommend this book: Yes! The way Ms. Foster weaves the tale of struggle and triumph between two hearts, has her readers caught in a web of love and friendship.
Would I read other books by this author: Yes! I have yet to read one of this author’s books and been disappointed. I look forward to reading her next effort.

Melissa Foster has won me over again with another book! Slope of Love is the fourth installment of The Remington Family series and doesn't fail to satisfy what I have come to expect from a Foster book, a hot romance that leaves the reader swooning. The sexual tension between Rush and Jayla was spot-on and explosive when they finally got together for the first time. Rush is a solid male protagonist that readers will find both sexy and endearing. Jayla is a strong female lead, a little headstrong at times, but full depth. The overall book is a good read that held my interest and entertained me. I enjoyed seeing the other characters from past books in this series and other of Foster's series pop up. In Foster's book world it really is such a small world which is perfectly fine. I kept trying to see who could be set up for their own book later on. There are so many good side characters that I wouldn't mind getting to know. Like the cowboys in the bar, hmmm?
Foster knows how to tell a compelling story and she has done it well over and over again. She's not breaking the mold but working with what best suits her readers is where she excels. I like that and I find that this approach lends the readers a certain level of dependability in Foster's work. They know what to expect from her work and enjoy it when they are delivered a good book.
There are always a couple of things I always find not necessarily wrong but needs worked on with every book I read. Foster has the romance formula down pat but I would have loved to see more backstory with Rush and his womanizing ways. In Slope of Love we are told what kind of ladies man Rush is but we don't really see it for ourselves which doesn't translate well. We want to relate to Jayla's apprehension of falling so quickly into a relationship with Rush and her trust issues. But we're not really shown Rush's behavior from the past. I think more focus on Rush's past would have rounded out Jayla's reactions a little better.
The editing was great again and I loved Foster's writing style. She included an except for the next Remingtons book featuring Kurt's story, Read, Write, Love. I can't wait to read it and hope I can get an ARC of that one *hint hint*

The more novels that I read from Melissa Foster’s Love In Bloom Series, the more I realize how addicted I am. She surely has earned her title of “New York Times & USA Today bestselling & award-winning author” in my opinion. Slope Of Love continued my fascination with the Remington clan and their journey through love, loss, and fierce passion.
Slope Of Love can be read on its own without starting from the beginning of the series, which is one of the reasons I have fallen in love with Melissa’s books. The fact that you can grab any novel and enjoy the story and not feel like you are missing any history. I do, however, suggest reading all of them-it has been one experience that I have enjoyed immensely at night during my few moments of quiet time.
Watching Rush work through his life, leaving behind his old ways of revolving women and choosing to go with his heart is a emotional journey for the reader as well as him. Melissa is able to capture the essence of what true love is, and seems to effortlessly build all her characters into the definition. You find yourself wanting to slip away into the lives of Rush and Jayla, you want to feel the strong emotions tied to them both.
As this series progresses, I cannot give it enough praise. I have noted that I have never been partial to ooey-gooey romances novels, but this series has changed that. I have found a deep appreciation for novels written in a way that makes the reader jealous of the characters within the pages of the book. This time around it is Jayla that has my jealousy in hyper-gear, she has a very hunky man that adores her to her soul. How many people can actually say that? I mean it is a passion that is so-strong, so-overwrought with fierce emotion that one would think that a person would be squashed by its power. The characters in all the books will leave an ever-lasting memory with you, you find yourself comparing your own relationship, you view other peoples relationship, and always compare to the Remington series. Or at least I found myself doing that.

The REMINGTONS! Can I please marry into this family? They are only like the funniest, most loving, good-looking family I know!
Rush Remington is known for his playboy ways. He's young, hot, and an Olympic gold medalist so had no problem getting women in his bed. However, he realizes that he's leading a very shallow life and begins to change his ways. Jayla is also one of the main reasons he's changing. He realized he was in love with his best friend, a best friend that still thinks he's the same playboy.
Jayla is a competitive woman. She doesn't like depending on anyone but herself. She loves to ski and can't imagine her life with it but she's also suffering from an injury and realizing that her career might be endangered. She's also deeply, and madly in love with her best friend Rush.
Jayla is a very difficult woman that was hard to love. She knows how dangerous her injury can be but that doesn't stop her. She pushes herself to the limit and hides it from everyone. I didn't like this. A woman should be strong and independent but should also know when its time to ask for help. She also have Rush a hard time. Another thing I did not like. He would reassure her that he had changed and wanted to be with her but wouldn't accept him! In conclusion, she was a frustrating character!
Rush was the sweetest guy! Even though Jayla would act like a bitch, he would still be there for her. I just want to correct a misconception I had from reading the previous books in the series. He acts like a douche in the other books but I didn't not find that animosity from him in this novel. I thought I wasn't going to like him because of the way he acted towards Jack but it was the opposite, I loved him!
This book was filled with romantic, steamy scenes that I loved! Although it is not my favorite, I loved it! Melissa Foster knows how to write an enticing romance novel!

Rush and Jayla. Competitive skiers and friends for over 15 years. Jayla knows Rush past his ladies man, love them and leave them reputation, and Rush knows Jayla better than any one of the women he’s ever dated. It’s what friends do. Until they realize that the friendship has developed into the basis for something else.
Melissa Foster guides us through the unfolding love affair of friends becoming lovers for life as it unfolds between two friends. We get to share every moment of unfounded fears, unreasonable secrets, and untamed passion while tatted Remington Rush retires his playboy ways to capture the heart of his friend and soul mate, athletically sexy Jayla.
There are great moments in this book, just as in the rest of this series, that come together to make an excellent love story. Each one of the stories from Foster are unique, and also comfortable to fans and followers because of the familiarity of characters.
In Slope of Love, the Bradens, Remingtons and Snow Sisters play supporting roles, and if you’re a Foster fan, that’s an extra treat to an already decadent offering.
Rush is a Remington, born with that good ol sexy, even though it's not as outwardly macho as the guys we’ve met thus far. This characters shows the versatility in Fosters writing, because he’s still able to be a dominant male figure without as much machismo as the already introduced hot hunks in the series.
I’m really not going to tell you a lot about the story line, because I don’t think I can do it without giving away some of the best parts of the book, and thereby spoiling what kept me intrigued! Suffice it to say, this series is still a winner.

SLOPE OF LOVE gives us Remington sibling Rush's story and it's one (for whatever reason) I've been looking forward to.
Through the other books in the series, we've had glimpses of Rush, but we discover that the Olympic Skier playboy is not what we think. He was given a wake up call and discovers that the one person he has depended on for the past fifteen years in the one woman that can curb his playboy ways. Rush isn't shy about the fact that he was with a lot of women, instead he owns it and does his best to prove to everyone (including himself) that he's changed. Jayla understands him like no other and he can't imagine himself with anyone else. I liked how it was as if a switch had been flipped and suddenly Rush was this alpha male who would do anything to protect and provide for his female.
Jayla may not have thought that was what she wanted, but the change in Rush appealed to her. She's been in love with him since they were teenagers, but there was something about him wanting to take care of her that did it for her. She knew, he didn't agree with her and her drive to compete while hurting, but he understood and did what he needed to in order to ease her pain. Jayla didn't think she wanted that in a man, but with that change in Rush she loved it.
I liked the Rush and Jayla together. I liked how the author took those fifteen years of being best friends and pushed them over into lovers. That combination doesn't always work, but it definitely did for this couple.

How does Melissa Foster do it? She keeps writing one hit after another. Slope of Love is bound to be another one of these hits. She did a marvelous job with the story of Rush and Jayla. I was hooked from the very beginning. I could not put the book down.
Of course, in a way it reminded me of my husband and I. My husband and I started out as friends. I was scared to death to tell him that I had more feelings for him. When I did finally get the nerve up, I started out by asking him what he would do if he had feelings for a friend. Numskull that he is, he started off saying he probably wouldn't say anything because he wouldn't want to lose that friendship. He didn't get it that I was talking about the 2 of us. I finally had to tell him I was talking about the 2 of us. Luckily, it worked out for us.
Anyway, Slope of Love really captures the complexities of friendship turning to love. You feel like you are a part of the book. You can picture everything, and feel such empathy for the characters. I just fell in love with everything in this book.
I give this book 5 stars. I think everyone will enjoy this one. It isn't appropriate for all ages due to the mature content (sexual situations). Run out and get a copy of this book (if you are an adult). While this is part of a series, it can be read as a stand alone book. The only problem you might have is waiting for the next book in the series. This series is addictive.
I received a free copy of this book from Beck Valley Books, but all opinions are 100% mine.

This is the book of the ultimate friends crossing that boundary so many question and so little act on in fear of losing each other in the move. Melissa Foster has once again brought reality onto the page in a beautiful way with Slope of Love.
We meet Jayla Stone and Rush Remington in Slope of Love ( o m g the Remmingtons!) These two have been friends for as long as they can remember, knowing each and every detail about each other but never have they crossed that line between- until now.
Jayla has loved Rush for many years, nearly from the start without Rush even knowing it but what's standing in their way of being together? Well the fact that she has a boyfriend is one thing, but even after Jayla sends the boyfriend packing there's the secret she has kept to herself and could change everything including her career. On top of that Rush has his own secret he needs to reveal.
As close as two best friends can be, can they find it in their hearts to open up and share each other's secrets? Or will they hold back and not try to over come the bumps along their journey?
I loved how these two were so close, a wonderful story brought to life through the pages. Foster always is able to make it seem so real and life like. There is no denying the chemistry between these two, no way to miss the fire sparking up page after page. You will have to read the book to find out what happens with Jayla and Rush, it's fun, it's sexy it's a must read!

The Slope of Love by Melissa Foster starts off in a very dreamy way – From the very first book I have read from Melissa; there has been a chemistry I always searched for in a romance… believable characters with an appealing touch of fantasy.
Rush Remington and Jayla (friends for fifteen years) would be spending some hang out time. Yet, the media is around and even if he knows he is loved by the media and by women; he doesn't feeling like smiling for the camera. (Maybe because I’m not there in Colorado with him, I wish). I can’t wait to read more.
I liked reading about Jayla, a hot Olympic gold medalist - wondering how independent she really was. At first, I felt Rush being the jealous kind but then it could have just been a perception and totally wrong, at that.
A man who thinks of a woman who was once a teenager and how he raked his eyes down the curves of her hips – is my kind of man.
Jayla likes bonfire and dancing – she had to choose. This is a must read. It is different from anything I ever read. It gets better “I’ve changed, and so have my feelings for you.” With this kind of revelation, Jayla has to make a decision as feel and believe words coming out the mouth of a sweet talking womanizer or just move away from him. I do recommend it.

Rush and Jayla, both competitive skiers, have been best friends for years. But when Rush realizes that his feelings for Jayla have changed and sharing his bed with random women is no longer what he desires, he knows that he needs to confess his feelings to her. But as his best friend, she also knows Rush’s history with women. Will she be able to look beyond his past and see herself in his future?
But Jayla has a secret of her own. A secret that could change the course of her future forever! Although Rush suspects something, Jayla isn’t ready to open up about it to him … or anyone for that matter! But will she confide in him before it’s too late?
Slope of love is the 13th book in the Love in Bloom series. Although it can be read as a stand alone book, I highly recommend reading the previous books in the series to get the full appreciation of the characters and story. I loved this book, but that should come as no surprise to anyone who follows my reviews/blog. Melissa Foster is one of my all-time favorite authors. Her books/characters/stories pull you in from the first page and holds you in until the end. I highly recommend this book and all of the books in the Love in Bloom series. If you are like me, you will leave each book with another “book boyfriend”.

This is book 13 in Melissa Fosters Love in Bloom series and I have read each and every one. Each one is it's own story with characters that are so familiar that I believe they are my friends and family. This series is so unique in how it can pull the reader in from the very first page, keep them entertained throughout the entire book, and then continue the story in the next book in the series.
It is hard for me to pick my favorite parts of this story. I am a downhill skier and watching competitive skiing is one of my favorite sports to watch so relating to the injuries, the feeling of going down the hill, and the equipment being used was so familiar to me.
I found it easy to relate to Rush and Jayla. Their friendship was easy from the very beginning. There was no doubt that they were BFFs and destine to be together. Once again Melissa introduced me to my book crush.
I am struggling to tell you more of what I loved without giving away the best parts of the story. All I can tell you is that this is a book and series that you must read.
The entire Snow Sister series is a series I already have recommended to everyone and will continue to do so.

This is the fourth book in the Remington series and so far I have enjoyed them all. This book, set on the ski slopes, features Rush and Jayla, both Olympic ski champions who have been friends for years. This book will resonate with anyone who has been in a similar situation where they both want their relationship to develop further but are afraid of what will happen to their friendship if it does.
I enjoyed the fact that this couple already know each other extremely well and Melissa Foster’s talent is in keeping the suspense going about whether they will risk their friendship and their dreams of winning the Championship in order to follow their hearts.
Whilst Rush is pure Alpha male, we see a sensitive side to him as he changes his bed-hopping antics in order to woo Jayla. Jayla in turn is terrified of simply becoming another notch on his bedpost. She also has a shoulder injury to deal with and is afraid of missing her chance of being in the team if she lets anyone know.
I didn’t warm to Rush as much as to some of his brothers but nonetheless, it is another romance from Melissa that will have you turning the pages.

Melissa Foster has very quickly become one of my favoriteauthors! I have always enjoyed these types of books, and I am SO happy that I found her books! From the beginning of the book, I felt for Rush! I have been in the situation where I was in love (or I thought it was love) with someone, yet couldn't tell them, for one reason or another. Of course, if you've read any of the previous books from the Love in Bloom series, you have most likely heard Rush's name being said. He most definitely has the "hotness" factor for me! I am drawn to tattoo'ed, athletic, "bad boy" types, and I have a feeling that Rush is just that!!
Slope of Love could be either read as a stand alone book or if you want to read the rest, by all means - I definitely recommend them!!

Rush.....sexiness on skis and Olympic gold medalist struggles to remain in the friend zone when he falls in love with his best friend and fellow team mate Jayla. jayla has been secretly in love with Rush since she was 13 years old. She has never explored more than best friends with Rush because of his playboy ways of screw and through with countless women. Rush realized the error of his ways and wants nothing more than to be more with Jayla and together take their relationship out of the friend zone. Jayla has bigger issues she is trying to hid like her shoulder injury that may end her career as a competitive skier. When they both decide to profess their love for each other and find happiness together it's a battle jayla loves Rush but has been independent for so long that him trying to "help" drives a wedge....Rush breaks through and they find happiness together. I really enjoyed this book and hope that more is written for these two love birds.

Slope Of Love is book 4 in The Remmington Series, but each book CAN be read as a standalone. Although I do reccomend reading ALL of them lol! This is Rush's book and you do get mention of him in the series, it's not really much other than him being a professional skier.
I really don't know how Melissa Foster is able to get a series going so long and still keep all the books different. Each book is about another member and each one is unique in its own way. They are very realistic and easy to fall in love with the characters.
Rush's story has a lot of depth and I loved how close they were BEFORE things started. You will go through an array of emotions following them throughout the book and it is worth every second! It is beautifully written and you will not be able to put it down! I would recommend ALL of Melissa Foster's books to anyone, and no matter where you start you will be hooked and want more!

Jayla Stone is the world's luckiest girl. Rush Remington, skier extraordinary, massive playboy has finally decided enough is enough and is ready for love. Jayla Stone (also a superb skier), is the woman Rush has decided he is head over heals in love with. Too bad Jayla has a boyfriend and knows all about Rush's playboy past.
Can best friends make it past 15 years of history? Or is it just too much to overcome?
Melissa Foster has done it again. Drew me in to a love story and left me wanting more. We revisit briefly with Danica Snow (from the very first Love in Bloom novel) and it is interesting to see how she is doing. I love how the novels stand on their own, but reinforce each other in subtle ways.
How is Jayla going to handle her future? Will her secret ruin everything? I for one can not wait to see what happens next!

I may have said this before - Melissa Foster does it again! Sexy Rush Remington and his best friend, Jayla Stone make an awesome couple. That is, once the talk to each other and stop keeping feelings bottled up.
All the passion, fire, and sexiness that she brings to the table is present again in Slope of Love. I'm still asking myself where Melissa keeps finding all these hot guys, but I'm not really all that curious as long as she just keeps sending more.
I'm not going to give any spoilers away in this review. I just want you to know that Olympic Skiers Rush and Jayla are quite the pair and are destined to be together. Watch out for little twists and turns along the way, as well as visits from other family members. You know it wouldn't be a Melissa Foster book without the family stopping by for a chat.

I love the friends to lovers scenario! There is a lot of introspection and time needed to work through it all. There is a moment where it all finally sets in and there is no looking back! Melissa is amazing at telling the whole story, but that moment is my favorite. Rush and Jayla have similar interests and amazing chemistry. I strongly recommend listening to this book!

Melissa Foster does it again!! Slope of Love is amazing!! Jayla and Rush have been BFFs for years but a secret that Rush has been keeping could change their lives forever! Problem is when Rush finally decides to tell Jayla his secret and they share a passionate as hell kiss will change everything…especially since Rush was basically a womanizer and Jayla knows all about his past women! After all this we learn that Jayla has a secret too…one that can cause her major problems with her career and with Rush who is her soul mate! The chemistry, the passion, the secrets make this book amazing and keeps you wanting more!

Sometimes fate is mean. Imagine having a friend in your life that you REALLY want to have a relationship with but you were afraid that if you did, you might lose a good friend? Meet Jayla and Rush. Two competitive skiers who have been friends since forever. She has loved him since forever but he was single and free and didn’t notice. Till one day, he realized he loved her as well. Awwwwww.
Jayla had won a Olympic medal but is hiding the fact that shes in a lotta pain with her shoulder. But she had this itch to compete one last time. Rush is worried but what is he gonna do? She determined to make it happen.

I enjoyed Rush and Jayla's story. It's interesting to read about friendships that take a turn to romance. The friends have to readjust and it's not always easy. Jayla needs to learn to trust Rush on several levels. Rush needs to learn the balance between love and over-protectedness.
I liked the characters from the beginning and thought they had more depth than the pair in the previous book of this series. Still, I found the story could have had a little more action at times.
An enjoyable read, especially if you like ski stories.

Stubborn and in love. Hopeless and in love. Rush and Jayla were so many things to each other, and simply couldn’t do without one another. It was obvious to everyone that the fire was burning, but these two never bothered to move forward until now. Even though they felt so strong, it was frustrating to see them resist. Rush is such a strong character and, just like with his siblings, I am glad to see that his heart is full and settled. Wonderful read. Highly recommended for lovers of steamy romance. Great job Melissa Foster!

I love novels where you know all the characters and you meet couples whose story you know and you see them interact again, especially when they're an integral part of the new story. Really great stuff. This one, however, the main characters seem a little flat, as though they are starring in their own story. Maybe it's just me. I hope so, because I really love the Remingtons.

They met in sky camp as teenagers. They were best friends. They knew everything about each other. Rush had been a player. Many different women seldom knew their name the following day. But last year things had changed. Rush realized that he was in love with Jayla. Now he just needed to convince Jayla that he had changed.
Another amazing story. I was drawn in and couldn't stop until I found out how they would work things out.

Another notch in my bedpost. The Remington men are just as lustable as the Braden men were. While each of them has his own beautiful characteristics, I find myself lusting after each of them in the same way. Rush is amazing!

I really enjoy reading about The Remington family. I like that each book includes the other members in the family and their significant others. I am inspired when the characters face obstacles and then through dedication, patience and love conquer them and come out a winner.
Please RateSlope of Love (Love in Bloom: The Remingtons)
Rush has been known as a womanizer but has recently changed his ways after watching his family members fall in love but also with the realization that his feelings toward Jayla may have moved past just being his best friend.
Rush has always taken care of Jayla by making sure she has her favorite gummy bears but also respects her enough to understand she knows her limits and will let her push herself - even when it kills her.
Listen as Rush and Jayla learn that while they are both world champion skiers in their own right, are they an even better team? Listen as Mr. Harrison does a great job in bringing the friendship and story of Jayla and Rush to life, although you may have to get used to the female voice like I did but it happens quickly.
I would love to have Rush Remington as my best friend (and possible lover...)!
