I hate reviewing but I love reading. This book actually made me chuckle out loud and kept me interested all the way through. The people were real, the dialogue was real. I felt like I was sitting with friends.

The storyline was easy to connect to and invision. The fact that it is set in a very familiar area to me made it that much more appealing. I loved the inclusion of existing businesses and locations, making it so real.

I more typically read romantic thrillers and mysteries so I was caught off guard and delightfully so with Linda Seed's first book, "Moonstone Beach." After this one, I bought and joyfully read the whole four-book series. The characters are all people I wish I knew and her descriptions of the setting of Cambria, Calif., were like taking a vacation without having to pack. As a romantic, I loved the way she subtly matched the strengths and weaknesses of the heroines and heroes until they seemed not perfect people but perfect for each other. I also appreciated that in a world where work is important, Linda described people who were passionate about their callings or searching for that calling. In short, women and men, her characters are people who have lives after the "happily ever after."

well written with insight on post-divorce loneliness, fear, and hope. I found myself absorbed and feeling along with the characters. The setting made me want to visit, especially now with dark, frigid winter, and hang out at the bookstore and walk around town. A feel good story!

The women (except of course for the evil step mother) are supportive and the kind of people I'd love to share a glass of chardonnay with and have as friends. They have realistic strengths and weaknesses. The men are interesting characters. The right one is lovable. What more can you ask of a satisfying romance!

I really enjoyed this story. The characters are so real they could be your neighbors, your friends, even your relatives. Kate had to learn to not let people take advantage of her. Jackson needed to learn how to control his temper. Do these two have a future?
Small town where everyone knows everyone and everybody knows what everybody else is doing. Reminds me of the town I grew up in.
.Buy this book and come along for a close look at small town, America. You will enjoy it.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

A good, easy, fun read... the characters have substance, the story and sub stories all go together and they all come together for a happy ending...just the kind of novel I like. Good job to Linda Seed... just purchased the second book in this series!
