I have read Joanne Fluke's Hannah Swensen mysteries from book one and have loved them all. Her characters are believable and fun. I would recommend this mystery to anyone who likes a bit of humor with their mystery.

I gave this book a five rating because the people, the town as well as the murder are well described. I was as interested in Hanna and her family as with the solving of the crime. Plum Pudding Murder is another fun and exciting read.

Another delicious mystery by Fluke. Thought I would get tired of same characters, Hannah always finding the murder victim, but not necessarily. There are enough plot twists to keep me coming back for more. I enjoy visiting Lake Eden, Hannah's family & friends, that's what a cozy mystery series is suppose to do. The recipes in Plum Pudding does include more than sweets. It's a guilty pleasure to read recipes with no concern for butter, sugar, & calories! I would recommend this series for small town mystery lovers.

I like all the characters, and story lines of these books. I look forward to the next book but I think I will get it in hardback because it is difficult to copy the recipes from my kindle. Fast paced and witty.

My book club read this book for our December selection. One member made the bean bread and it was delicious, also very moist. I Liked this book so much I started reading the series from the first book. MTC

Love the series about Hannah Swensen and the rest of the gang in Lake Eden. This has been one of the best series that I have read. Keep up the great works. I always look forward to the next installment.

Several days before Christmas, Andrea calls Hannah desperately needing a Christmas tree. So they, along with Mike and Norman, go to Crazy Tree lot to buy a tree from Larry Kruger. This suits Hannah fine, as Larry is selling Hannah's cookies at his tree lot and Hannah heard that he was selling out of her cookies and she wanted him to increase his order. While at the tree lot, Hannah notices a sign that makes her questions Larry's practices and she wonders about Larry.

Hannah's plate is full (not just from desserts) with her 2 suitors (still no progress on the choice between the 2 men) Moishe is up to his usual antics of being a cat (although in the past where he has been slightly mischevious, in this book his antics are a bit more naughty)

There are several possible motives and several possible people that could have committed the murder- and the surprise ending- well I think a lot of people should have seen that coming. I'm anxiously awaiting to see the ramifications of the youngest Swensen bringing the surprise visitor to the house!

I was dissapointed in the last book, but this one was better. Now don't get me wrong- there is still room for improvement. I do wish that there would be some resolution to the love triangle, but with the ending of this book- Joanne Fluke guaranteed herself a purchase from me of her next book.

The Hannah Swensen series is worth reading. I also tried the Pumpkin/White Chocolate cookies - YUMMMMMMMY! Joanne Fluke's books always bring a chuckle or two. I find this very refreshing and truly enjoy reading every book she's published in this murder series!

Once a Joanne Fluke fan, always a fan. Her mixture of recipes and her tie-in with the mystery story line is always a treat. I'm always sorry when I come to the end of her books. This one was no exception. Now I can hardly wait for her next book.

I would have bought one. There were more recipes in this book than there was mystery. I've read all the Hannah Swensen books and the series seems to be going down hill. What little mystery there was ended very abruptly, I guess there had to be more room for the recipes. The relationship with Norman/Mike is getting way beyond believable. Choose for goodness sakes! By the way, if I had to get up at 4 am and one of my suitors showed up at 11 pm looking for something to eat, I don't think there would be much of a choice. If you must read this series, get it from the library. Don't waste your money.

The book starts out with a murder, and then backtracks to the day before a man was shot to a scene at The Cookie Jar. Hannah is selling cookies to the local Christmas tree lot for the holidays, and she and her partner, Lisa, are busy baking cookies, and preparing for the holidays. Hannah's Mom is wondering why her partner in the antique business has been cancelling so many social outings. Norman is helping Hannah put her first Christmas tree in the condo. Mike is worrying about some suspicions he has over local citizens at the tri-state mall. Andrea is selling houses and keeping her precocious daughter, Tracy, busy. The plot thickens when it becomes obvious that a local business owner may have been cheating several of the town's citizens. Norman is helpful, kind and sweet, and Mike shows up for handouts of food late at night. Mike's dalliances with other women are brought up by Hannah and then dismissed. Hannah continues to date both men, and I found myself wanting Norman to dump her. He deserves a woman who appreciates his care for her, and Hannah seems to be attracted to the bad boys. The end of the book brings yet another former suitor into the pictures. I like the myseteries, but Hannah's indecision in the romance department makes her look insensitive or not that bright.
