First, let me say that A. American writes VERY realistic & riveting scenarios of how a societal collapse would pan out. I am a huge fan of the first two books in this series because they cover exactly this topic (ie: the collapse). However, I've become a little less enthralled and interested in the extended aftermath of the collapse scenario which this series pursues in the books following the second one. Don't get me wrong...it's a decent storyline, but not as gritty and desperate as the first month or so following the collapse. Perhaps this is just my own personal preference , and that is fine with me.
I did start to get a bit weary of the constant "prepper tips" in this one, as I felt the author went into a bit too much detail & dialogue of these things (ie: the watertower project, etc)...which I thought set it apart from the other books in the series.
Ultimately, I am still looking forward to the next installment. A. American ought to consider a new series starting from scratch again (ie: the actual collapse.

One more time we meet the family and friends. This book continues the saga to the next step of progression after it all fell apart. Several nice tricks to try if things go to help hidden in the story. Only complaint is the ending it came too soon and now I have to wait for the rest of this story

A bit hesitant in places, but this genre has been written to death; so it takes a lot to keep the story fresh and us readers coming back.

The introduction of some new characters, and getting back into the DHS story helps it along. So I'll keep buying these.

Morgan's group faces so many challenges while copping with different catastrophes. I really enjoyed the maturing of the characters and was shocked when I turned 'the iPad page' and the book was finished!!! An excellent #6 book!!

I absolutely love the Home series, read them all and so looking forward to anything else A.American writes. Characters are easy, interesting and very like-able. I have learned some things from these books along the way. Thanks for the adventures!

I'm probably better off not saying anything, but I've enjoyed every book in the series. Points out the value of prepping in a practical manner while it serves a great, hard to put down yarn. Well worth the time to read.

I have enjoyed each of the survival Home series. This is book 6 and in each book the characters are more complex and certainly believable. The situations are certainly plausible. Really enjoyable read.

Much like the other books I love this series. This book would have received 5 stars but there were a couple errors in the book that made me take a second look and have to read over a couple times to understand what it was saying. I am no grammar police or anything but it had a word or two that should have been a different word all together.

Was disappointed with this book in the series. It ended like there should have been another 25 pages more but weren't. Just stopped in the middle of a story. Poor writing with way to much fluff and not enough meat to the book.

Amazing read. Writing that gets you intertwined with the characters and paints a picture of a world that could be just around the corner for us.

I hadn't even heard of this series a month ago and in less then 30 days I have devoured all 6 books and am anxiously awaiting the next. A. American does a very good job of weaving a compelling story while putting in some knowledge and skills that could be helpful in a SHTF situation without all the tech spec overload that some SHTF authors tend to do.

Angery gets better with each book. He's really becoming a hell of a storyteller. Started it late yesterday evening and got back to it tonight to finish it. I've enjoyed the entire series but this was by far his best work to date. Can't wait for the next one.

Another good read, with an exciting, yet well thought-out plot.
Though there are a few typo and grammar issues, overall was a fantastic book.

Hardly able to put it down once you started it.

Highly recommended.

I have enjoyed all of the series - keeps my attention and wondering where the plot goes next. I have even enjoyed reading the series over from the first book to this one and waiting for the next installment.

The story is solid, but the proofreading could use some work. That is to say, it would be nice if someone took the time to proofread at all.
I don't want to turn anyone off of reading the book, as I think it is a worthwhile read, but the number of simple mistakes is certainly a bit frustrating. Feel a bit cheated paying for what is essentially an unfinished product.

As with the whole series this is another hit. Non stop action and sarge and his team are so real you picture them in your mind. Reminds me of my gunnery Sargent in the marine corps in nam.
WHERE is the next one ????

The story of Morgan and his group/family continues. A. American delivers again on the post emp world. He continues to write a great story with survival tips thrown in for learning about self sufficiency. He is becoming a must read author.

I have enjoyed reading every other book in this series, but this one...well, I had a hard time just getting to the end. It was very poorly written, lacked important details and was full of trivial conversations about nothing in particular. I felt like someone was giving me every detail about his boring day. It sounded like this to me "We were walking home and I saw may neighbor. So I stopped to talk to her. She asked me in for coffee. I went in and she wanted to know how many spoons of sugar I wanted, so I told her two." What kind of writing is that??? The characters names remained the same, but they acted like different people. I was so disappointed that I probably won't read the next book.

These books are sooooooooo addictive, I can never make one last more than 2 days! After each book, I'm positive there's no where else to go with the story line but he gets ya every time. Can't wait for #7!

Where is book #7!? Book #6 seemed incomplete and ended in the middle of the story. Did not enjoy this book as well as the others. New characters were added but not introduced at all. Mario and Shelly? Where did they come from? Found a few more mistakes in this last book as well. Proofreader is NOT doing a good job.

I purchased the first few books in this series trying to learn more about the genre, actually thinking I might try to write one. They were enjoyable and the moral relativism of the protagonist in the books, Morgan, seemed justifiable given some of the circumstances he was in early on in the adventure. Since the books, starting at 5 begin to move into a world recovering from the EMP, the morally relative decisions made by Morgan just begin to move into territory I can only describe as hypocritical. I would not mind a little more complex character who had a dark side but what I am finding more and more difficult to believe and like as the story moves forward is the complete lack of introspection. Morgan becomes more and more a "might makes right" type of character and starts to blend with Sarge. In the earlier books, after the introduction of Sarge and his crew, a lot of the darker material was coming in through those characters but we start to see that in everyone that is part of Morgan's group.

It is entertaining reading. The editing leaves something to be desired--lots of errors. I guess I would sum up by saying I wouldn't want to be Morgan's neighbor.

This series is frighteningly believable in light of the current state of affairs in the U.S. A real page turner!!! Definitely makes you want to make sure you take a page out of Morgan's book and get prepared!
