Pulled Under: Walker Security Series

The second in the Walker Security series takes on ex-SEAL Asher and on the run Sierra. These two connect when Sierra starts working in the bar that Ash is working undercover. There are immediate sparks (yes, insta-lust!) and the observant, cunning Asher figures out that Sierra is in trouble and leaps into protective mode. Sierra doesn't want to embroil the sexy bartender in her danger but luckily for us, she doesn't get her way.

I started my love of Lisa Renee Jones' books with the Dirty Money Series and it has now easily transferred to the Walker Security Series. Her books' characters are smart, tough, and humorous with just the right touch of book magic that takes them from ordinary people to heroes but that are still instantly likeable and relatable. Jones' stories are well written, well paced tales of intrigue and suspense wrapped nicely with steamy sexy scenes and quite a few laughs. While this is part of a series, it is a standalone within it.

If you like your heroes with dirty armor (and mouths), your heroines in need of help but not helpless and your plots with a books with a bit of tension, then Pulled Under, Walker Security #2 should be one-clicked.

After meeting Asher in book one, Deep Under, I immediately hoped for his own story. I couldn’t pick this one up fast enough. I love the way Lisa writes romantic suspense stories. She keeps you on your toes, and writes in such a way that you can’t turn the pages fast enough.

Asher is the complete package. He’s a tattooed, former rocker, ex-Navy Seal, and a total alpha! Sierra was a little frustrating. I liked her one minute, and then wanted to hit her the next. Even though she was frustrating, I kept turning the pages to see what happened next. Their relationship was so great! There was instant connection and chemistry between the two but that doesn't mean it was easy.

I love the secondary characters in this series. They are constantly present and help the main characters connect and they all play off of each other in the best way. I’m addicted to the Walker gang!

If you like romantic suspense books, do yourself a favor and grab up this series. It’s full of hot scenes, romance, and mystery.

I can’t wait for the third book in this series, Falling Under, Jacob’s story! He’s the strong, silent type, and I can’t wait to see his story!

Asher is used to seeing scumbags on a daily basis. Working for Walker Security, he spends his time tracking down evil people and bringing them in for justice. It is a lonely life, but a fulfilling one. He is acting as a bartender in a local bar while on the trail of a potential serial killer when he meets Sierra. She catches his eye immediately. The only problem is that she catches nasty drug dealer guy’s eye as well. From the instant Asher realizes that, he decides he needs to protect Sierra, no matter the cost.

Sierra is just trying to make a living...and trying to stay far away from an evil man hunting her down. She needs this bartender job, and she doesn’t want anything to mess it up, least of all her hot coworker Asher. She is drawn to him, though, and soon she is drawn into the Walker Security family on the case to bring a killer down.

I would give this book 4 stars. It was a good story with great chemistry. I did read book one in this series, but I think this would be fine as a stand alone book. I was asked by the author for an honest review.

Asher is 33 and has an eclectic background working as an ex-rocker, ex-Navy SEAL and currently working for Walker Security. He is working undercover at a seedy bar while they search for a serial killer whose targets are identical to the sexy new bartender Sierra.

Sierra is 28 and she is trying to ensure that her past doesn’t catch up with her. She is working as a bartender while trying to keep a low profile and is not letting anyone too close as that would only place them in danger as well.

Asher is drawn to her in a way that he has never felt before and he is not about to let her distance herself from him. He knows that she has secrets but he will show her by actions that he can be trusted and he will keep her safe from the threats of her past as well as any new threats that may surface.

It was great to catch up with the team and the connection and chemistry between Asher and Sierra is extreme. I have enjoyed every book in this series and this book is not exception. I can’t wait to see what the author comes up with next. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

​Overall, I thought Pulled Under was fast paced and engaging. Lisa Renee Jones really pulled you into the mystery behind Sierra and her past until finally everything was revealed. I really liked Sierra in the beginning. She's sassy and gives just as good as she gets when it comes to Asher. Though, as time progresses I had a hard time connecting with her. Asher and the Walker crew were clearly there trying to help her, and while I somewhat understand her reasonings for not wanting their help, she kept throwing stuff about her past in Asher's face as if he doesn't know what he's capable of. Never once did he back down from being there for her yet after every turn she was ready to run away, which got a bit annoying. You couldn't help but to love Asher. Yeah, he comes off as pretty cocky at times but he was persistent when it came to Sierra. He did everything he could to ensure her safety even when she tried to push him away. I enjoyed the way the story unfolded but I felt like the ending was somewhat rushed and the resolution was too easy and predictable. Aside from that, I thought this wasn an entertaining read.

This is book two in The Walker Security Series, and it never fails or I’m very fickle because I’ve been in love with Kyle from Deep Under. Now I’m in quandary because Asher really does for me. There is nothing sexier than one of Lisa Renee Jones Heroes they always feel like the real deal.
Sorry I was focusing on Asher, I can’t help it. On another note I always have a lot of respect for her heroines, and Sierra did not disappoint. The more you get to know about her the more kickass Sierra becomes.
When these two get together under such extreme circumstances you can feel the attraction sparking between them. All this with a life and death situation that Lisa weaves with her usual expertise. I was glued to my kindle, and ended up reading through the night. To me this is a five star feast in every respect. Even though this is about Asher and Walker Security they can be read as a standalone, each couple get their HEA, but we meet all the bunch through each story. Anyway this is a great series so give one a try.

Walker Security has returned. This time we get to see Asher. The child of elite society. The ex military, ex-bad boy, ex partier, ex lots of things. Now, Asher holds the title Walker Security Chameleon. He’s needed to go in for a job. The trails of this job will bring him so close to losing so much more than he ever thought he would possibly lose.

Sierra sees a sexy hot bad boy that will change her world. He tatted, sexy, muscled, hot, and oh so soooooooo. She knows that she needs to stay away. But something pulls her back again. Her life had hidden depths.

There was no putting this one down once I started, I just found myself turning page after page and then it was the end.

Action, danger, drama, fear, passion, chemistry. Asher had skills and they were used in this one. Book two of Walker Security had suspense and intensity all wrapped up in a tight tidy little bow. It was not easy picking up the bread crumbs and finding this killer, but the ride was so worth the read.

In this book we get Asher and Sierra. Asher is there to do a job for Walker Security but there is something about Sierra that keeps reeling him in. Sierra knows there is something about Asher but after being burned one time to many to believe that he's the man for her. Can they get past what they believe are the reasons keeping them apart or will they find a HEA?

If you have never read a book from this author make sure to grab it today. This is another amazing hit. We find these characters to be engaging and will have you hooked the whole way through. There are many ups and downs I really want to tell you about but don't want to ruin for any other readers. I will say this is a book that will have you locking the door, turning off the phone, ordering dinner in, and sending the kids out till you read the words the end. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.

PULLED UNDER is the second book in the Walker Security series. While each does stand on its own, it is best to read them all and in the order of release.

I love the intense emotion and the slow trust. Asher is like an alpha werewolf scenting his mate and knowing he’s all in, but Sierra needs time to accept the safety and protection she has found in Asher and the whole Walker team.

Nobody writes edge of your seat suspense and panty scorching romance the same way as Lisa Renee Jones. I am addicted to her stories!

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. OMG! This was such a great book! I loved Asher and Sierra. This story was packed with so much. I loved the action and mystery that surrounds them, as well as the undeniable chemistry between them. I also enjoyed the appearance of the Walker men and women not to mention the reference of Kayden and Ella. I was drawn in from the beginning funding out what Sierra has gone through. I loved how Asher wanted to protect her and help her to understand that he as well as the Walker clan would make sure she could finally stop running. I also enjoyed how amusing Asher could be when he wanted to lighten things up when they seemed to get a bit too intense. This was a very well written book that had me on the edge of my chair wanting to find out how things would turn out. I loved the way everything worked out for all involved and the ending was perfect and just in time with the upcoming Holidays. I can not wait to read Jacob's story!

Pulled Under is the second book in the Walker Security Series. I haven’t read the first one, yet. I will have to rectify that. Thankfully each of these books can be read as a standalone and I don’t feel like I missed anything other than already knowing some of the other characters.

I love books that just suck you in and Pulled Under is just that kind of book.

Asher, a billionaire’s son & an elite member of the Walker Security team. Asher meets Sierra when she starts working at the bar that he is undercover in. Sierra brings out the protectiveness and the alpha side of Asher. There is some insta-love happening here. I love that Asher does seem to have his mind on how to get Sierra into bed.

Pulled Under offers suspense & romance & “wicked hot passion and obsession” all rolled up to create a very good book to read!

LRJ is my forever author! I read her books (several as a matter of fact) and I feel like I am reading her stories for the first time. I love that she does not stick to the same themes. She will not bore you. You will always wonder with her books what will be coming up next. I adored Pulled Under! The intensity and angst were at the best. Asher caught my heart and Sierra had my emotions all over the place. I wanted to dislike the woman with her indecisiveness, but I grew to adore her as well.

Asher has stolen the spot and is my new book boyfriend. I have not had one claim that throne in a long long time. And he just the right amount of Alpha in him. I likey iikey! <- See he makes me babble!

All in all the Walker Security men fall hard! I could not get enough of Pulled Under and read in one setting! As long as I had my coffee, I was good to go. Get this book friends and happy reading!

Pulled Under is Book 2 in the Walker Security series and wow! Lisa Renee Jones definitely delivers one hell of a story.

Sierra is running from her billionaire husband and has been on the run for 9 months just trying to survive. Why is she running? Her psycho husband wants her dead.

She never expected to find herself working in a bar alongside Asher, who just happens to be an ex-SEAL and undercover for a case he’s working on for Walker Security. When Asher realises that Sierra is more than just the new bartender he is bound and determined to find out her secrets.

This book takes you on one hell of a ride! It’s action packed and will have you guessing all the way to the end.

I thoroughly enjoyed it but Sierra’s character got on my nerves a bit with the constant second guessing. This is the only reason why I didn’t give it 5 Stars!

Definitely looking forward to Book 3!

Oh My Gosh, yes! 2018 is bringing out some amazing books by so many author and pulled Under is simply no exception. Honestly believe that unless a book was or has a dark theme I'd have troubles sticking to the storyline, Lisa Renee Jones blew that right out the window with this book. I mean, i read it everywhere i could - out shopping, at restaurants, in bed, in baths, during supper. It was that good.

It made me laugh. It made me hate controlling and abusive men, and it sure helped me fall in love with arrogant men with hero complexes and the women who bring them to their knees. I couldn't get enough of this book and really can't wait for the next book to find out whose story we're getting next!.

I love this author when she writes books like this with mystery, a good love story mixed in, and a good group of guys who are slowly being married off with a Group of gals that bring everything to the table and leave no prisoners when it comes to the men they want. Asher and Sierra’s story was a quick start and really didn’t look back once it took off. I think the only thing that bugged me throughout this book was the fact that Sierra continually said that she wanted to walk away from Asher and the Walker SEcurity group, it became old and repetitive after awhile which distracted from the rest of the story. Overall I really enjoyed the book

Like usual, Lisa Renee Jones just Pulled me Under with this story. I really didn’t put it down once I started reading it. It is amazingly written by an author who knows how to write compelling, complex characters and story lines. Her women are fierce and strong. Her men are alpha males until they fall in love and then they are uber-alpha. And, at no time, does the story falter or slow down. She writes action packed, romantic, erotic stories that will keep you invested in the story.

Asher was just as I described him. He was a man that made his own path in the world, despite his father. He was never a one-woman man until he set eyes on Sierra. As his heart tilted on its axis, his life became more and more complicated until the only thing that he could concentrate on was this beautiful woman and the cases they are working. First and foremost is to protect Sierra from her past and get her to trust him with her secrets.

Sierra can’t stop running from a man she refers to as “The Beast”. She can’t let anyone know the secrets that she has until she can afford to go where He can’t find her. People she thought she could trust turned out to be in His pocket. Now, there is Asher. One night with him and she has never felt safer or secure. But, can she trust him. As he brings her into his inner circle at Walker Security, she knows that she’s found people who she can depend on but, her one fear is that he can get to them and kill them just as easy as he planned her death. It takes the village to assure her that they are not going to die … the only ones that are leaving this world are The Beast and Ju Ju. She may be on both of these men’s radar but Asher, Luke, Royce and Blake, along with a host of other Walker Security and Seal Team 6 members will stop at nothing to bring them down.

Pulled Under was an intricate story that will have you waiting to see just who will get to Sierra first. With two cases going simultaneously with the same woman being the target, you can’t help but to turn page after page to see how this will end.

I can sincerely say that Lisa Renee Jones really wrote a winner with Pulled Under. It amazed me how she wrote two major storylines in one book and cohesively brought them together. She is probably one of the best romantic suspense authors I have read and I know, once I start I can’t stop reading the story that she has weaved. She doesn’t stop at the end of the story, either … she gives you a beautiful Epilogue that ties everything together.

If you enjoy Romantic Suspense, pick up any of Ms. Jones’ stories. From the Inside Out Series to the Tall, Dark and Deadly Series to the Dirty Money series … you will not be disappointed. But, be prepared to spend a lot of time on your E-reader or with a book in your hand because, once you start, you will not be able to put them down until you finish.

I loved Asher. LOVED HIM!! And really, who could blame me? He was tatted-up, had long blonde-hair, was a former rockstar, an ex-seal, and was a mountain of muscular hotness. Who could resist? Surely not Sierra (heh heh). Oh, and did I forget to mention that he was hugely Alpha and had a hero-complex? Heaven!! Asher and the rest of the team at Walker Security were on the trail of a serial killer. The victim count was up to five. And now that Sierra has appeared on his radar as a potential target, the team must complete the mission before she becomes #6. What doesn’t help matters is that Sierra is on the run from a serial killer of her own. A man she refers to as The Beast. Can two killers be caught with one stone?

Sierra was a sympathetic character and easy to like. While she frustrated me with her resistance to tell the truth or accept the help of people who are trained to help, I guess I kinda got it. Fear is a mothersucker and when it rules you, your decision-making skills won’t always be on point. I won’t lie… her hesitance and constant back-and-forth between accepting and fighting rubbed my nerves raw, but I still liked her. However, Asher definitely stole the show in this story. The author’s writing of him really brought him to life for me and I couldn’t get enough.

LRJ, once again, delivered an intense story of romance, intrigue and suspense. I really had no clue how these characters were going to capture the killers. I also didn’t know if a happy ending was even guaranteed for Asher and Sierra (no worries, LRJ doesn’t disappoint there). I loved the dynamic between these two. It wasn’t necessarily love at first sight, but it was pretty close. Their instant connection and chemistry was foreign to them both and it was illustrated clearly. Asher was a man who wasn’t looking for commitment and Sierra couldn’t commit because she wasn’t willing to stay in one place long enough to warrant it. But nothing could stop their collision course. They were destined for one another and it was proven in more ways than one. I loved how these characters played off of the side characters that made up the team of Walker Security and how we got to know a few new characters as well. Truly, my heart went out to Savage. I want him to really fit in sometime soon.

Book 3 is about Jacob, who is ex-special forces and characterizes the strong and silent type. I can’t wait to see how he falls! His book will be out January 23, 2018 so stay tuned!!

While some may find the heroine a little frustrating, I however found her characteristic flaw as the underlying factor as to why she and the hero had this connection that drew them together. So if you are looking for a romance that was sexy and entertaining, then this book is for you.

Pulled Under is the second book in the Walker Security Series and my favorite book by Lisa Renee Jones so far. This is the story of Asher, one of the “Walker brothers” and Sierra. Sierra is on the run from a dangerous man and Asher seems to be determined to help and protect her, even against her wishes. Asher is by far my favorite character so far. I love his ink and long blonde hair and his desire to protect everyone.

As usual, the sex is super steamy and the story is super enthralling. There are twists and turns that will keep you guessing to the very end. I highly recommend this book!

Asher could be such a tease, "Asher pokes his head around the shower curtain, all kinds of satisfaction on his handsome face. “I meant the front door, but if you’d rather join me—” Sierra just can't believe her man at times, “I cannot believe you were talking to whoever that was while inside me.” Asher loves ro spoil his lady, "he kisses me. “I like buying you things. Another first for me. Don’t make that a bad thing.” I loved this book and the Walker clan.

I adore the Tall, Dark, and Deadly series and have been eagerly awaiting more from this spin off series. This was a solid installment with a great plot. It was an interesting concept with engaging suspense and enticing romance. I liked Asher and Sierra and was engaged in their romance as soon as they met. My only complaint was that it felt a little insta. Asher does not do relationships, but as soon as he meets Sierra he is completely in love? It just felt a tad off. But overall I still really enjoyed this book and am looking forward to book 3!

What a great story. Not only is their great chemistry between Asher and Sierra, but this book was loaded with suspense and mystery. It showed just how close the Walker Security brothers and their team are. They are just work colleagues, they’re a family of very skilled men with each of them finding strong women that only adds to their levels of expertise.

Serial killers and bad exes added all the intrigue I needed to enjoy this story. Seems with just being the second book in the series, it’s making this series one of my favorites.

4.5 Stars! Asher captured my heart from the beginning. He comes across as a controlling, possessive, alpha man, but then counter that with loyalty, friendship and a caring heart, throw in hot, ex-military and tattooed and boom, you have the perfect male specimen. Right from the start Sierra and Asher are a perfect match! She may need his protection but she is one strong, feisty lady and has survived running from a deadly husband. He needed a strong, intelligent partner in his life and as luck would have it, fate put them together!

After reading Deep Under, there were a few characters that I wanted their stories and Asher was one of them. I loved him! He could boss me around anytime. Definitely a fave BBF of mine.
In the usual Lisa Renee Jones' way, she has written a story that will have you the edge of seat drawn into the suspense of the story, laughing at the crazy antics, squirming in your seat at the intense passion, and more.
I am loving this series. I can't wait to get Jacob's story next.

Lisa Renee Jones, is a fantabulous author. And always has you craving the next novel before she even has it done. Pulled under is definitely a hit in my book.

This book has become my favorite in the Walker Bros & Walker Security Series. I didn't think anyone could surpass Blake in the hottest, alpha, swoon category but Asher has done it. I loved him from the first glance. Asher & Sierra's relationship builds from a slow burn and then the chemistry becomes combustible. The story is fantastic. It is smart, sexy, intense and a definite can't put down until the end. As always, Lisa's writing is amazing! You will easily fall in love and happily be Pulled Under!

I have nothing bad to say about this book. Sierra was a likable character and so was Asher. I feel like I got enough of their backstory to know why they are the way they are and I love the suspense throughout the book regarding Ju-Ju and Devin. Will be reading more books from this author.

You will love this book. The characters are strong, brave, loveable, protective and very, very sexy. The story line is exciting and supports the characters. There is great love making, irresistible heroes,suspense and great family and friend dynamic. This book is fast moving and will keep you engaged.
