Dirty Rich Cinderella Story (Lori & Cole Book 1)

I absolutely loved this second book in the Dirty Rich series. Lori and Cole are a great match. Neither realizes it at the time. A chance encounter has them meeting when Lori is rushing to get to work after leaving her friend and boss Cat's house. She literately runs into Cole who is on his way to a meeting. He asks for her name and number and Lori refuses. Both think of the other throughout the day and run into each other later that same day. They share a passionate night and Lori leaves the next morning . Cole is mad at himself for not getting Lori's last name or number. He returns home wondering if he will ever see her again. Some time passes and the two eventually meet again not knowing that they have mutual friends in common. From there the sparks fly. Lori has her doubts about Cole at times and Cole is guarded at times. These two have so much chemistry together that even their friends can see the connection they have to one another. I loved the way Ms Jones has characters from her other books make appearance. Such as the Walker Security employees. This is a very well written book which has you wondering at times whether Lori and Cole will be able prove that their clients are innocent and whether the two of them can get past the obstacles that seem to get in their way of having an HEA. All Lori wants to do is prove her worth and that she can make it on her own. All Cole wants to do is support and protect Lori. They are better together than apart. The just need the chance to figure it out. I really enjoyed this book and highly recommend it.

Dirty Rich Cinderella Story is the second book in the Dirty Rich series but can be read without reading the first book. I hadn’t read Dirty Rich One Night Stand and jumped right into Cinderella with no problem.

Lori Havens is a heroine who WANTS to be strong, she wants to be independent and get her life back on track, but she really just seems to not know what direction to go in and fights everything and everyone just for the sake of asserting herself.

“I’m still here, that he has that much control over me makes him powerful. I love and hate this about him to the point that despite all the high and rush of the challenge I’ve professed, I am most likely a little f***ed up, but he doesn’t give me time to let that idea mess with my head.”

Cole Brooks is a swoony alpha hero with a sweet soft side. When he decides that he wants Lori, he puts his all into pursuing her and persuading her! He was definitely my favorite part of this book!

“For this one night,” he says, leaning in, his lips near my ear, the rasp of his light stubble scraping erotically along the delicate skin of my cheek. “I own you.”

What starts out as a one night stand turns into a real journey for both of the main characters. Great chemistry and some angst is what kept me reading this one.

Who wouldn’t like to read sometimes about a story, kinda fairytale style? Add some naughty and dirty talk and be ready to read Lori’s journey, when she finally met her match, maybe not at the right time.

I adored the first book of this series and now it’s about time for Cole, Reese’s partner to find love, mostly to be hooked from the beginning. I believe in strong connections and the author did it great to make me feel it.

After a hot night of passion shared, the Cinderella ran away and got back to real life.

Don’t get me wrong, this Cinderella is not a helpless girl and is gonna drive Cole crazy. And the hero is not afraid to go after what he wants. I enjoyed the sensual and steamy chase, a story about two people who might find each other but had to deal with their duties and obligations towards their work. Taking a risk and dealing with the consequences like adults.

I was expecting more drama but it was to me pretty well-rounded, the main characters were both equals in this story, even if it tended to show tons of times how different their lives were, the other was always seeing the other like as a partner.

I enjoyed reading stories when the characters felt deeply and love hard, with strong characters that push the other to the top, learning from each other not without some fights in between for sure. Intense, passionate and sensual, this story was pretty addictive, I’ve been captivated from the beginning.

I have read some pretty serious books lately and Dirty Rich Cinderella Story was just what I needed. It was fun, sexy and steamy with characters that had sparks flying right off the pages.

Lori is working hard to fulfill her dreams, but when her mom needs her, just shy of finishing school, she does the best she can. Lori has never asked for helped and she has no intention on starting now. She wants to stand on her own two feet. I just loved Cole. He was perfect in so many ways. He was gorgeous, sexy, sweet and so charming. He knew he wanted Lori and would not let her go again. I find that so sexy.

For one night, Lori gives in to temptation. The night was perfect, but she leaves before he wakes. When things finally seem to be falling into place for her, she lands an internship that will go a long way for her. What she never expected was to see the man that gave her that perfect night months ago. Now he has plans of his own and this time he has no plans to let her go.

Dirty Rich Cinderella Story was a fun and sexy read. I loved the push and pull between these characters so much. Each had their own issues they had to work through, but you can see the chemistry between them. This was a second book in a series, but I did not feel as if I missed anything. This can be read as a standalone.

This book was amazing! Lori has gone through so much. Her father passed away and her mother had a stroke. Lori had to leave Law School so she could take care of her mother. Lori and her mother had gone through so much. Lori was working 4 jobs just to make ends meet and get out of the bills. It hasn't been easy but she has been doing it. My heart broke for Lori. She has been worried and taking care of her mother that she has put her life on hold. Till one day she bumped into Cole, He asked her out for coffee as an apology for bumping into her and she declined. He tried for drinks and she said no because she had plans. Things changed that even when she went to meet with her best friend for dinner. Cat had to leave but told her to stay and have dinner on her. Cole spotted Lori and he wasn't going to pass it up. He went up to her and started to talk to her. Things happen for a reason, but for Lori trust doesn't come easy. Her father's action hurt Lori. I understand how Lori feels, Things aren't always what they seem and can mess you up. I was rooting for Lori to get her happy ending. She deserved to finish school and be a Lawyer. I loved that she never gave up on her dream, she was working hard to get her life back in order. I LOVE LOVE this story, thank you to United Indie Book Blog for allowing me to read this book.

Oh my goodness! This was so good! Lori is literally working herself to death trying to pay off debts so she can get her mother out of the dump they have ended up living in after her father's death and her mother's resultant stroke when between jobs she runs into the one man she cannot ignore...her destiny. Cole Brooks is one hot man but more than that, he is a hot, honest, and driven attorney and after colliding with Lori on the sidewalk and the chance meeting and sparks he is hooked. Later when another chance meeting after Cat runs out on Lori when they were to have drinks and dinner turns into a one-night stand. One hot and memorable night turns into obsession for Cole and haunting for Lori and several weeks later kismet when Lori wins the scholarship which will allow her to finish her Law degree while working for Reese's firm and, surprise, she ends up the intern for his new partner, Cole. Okay, I have told you too much already but it is enough to whet your appetite and you have to read this book and read it now. You don't have to read Cat and Reese's story to understand this one as this is a standalone but the first one is just as good so don't miss that one either.

Definitely a don't miss and one of the best so far this year!

What a fun, sexy Cinderella Story. Lori is the epitome of an independent, take charge, intelligent, stubborn and prideful woman. Lori only has 6 months left of law school but she has to take a leave to care for her mother and find a way to pay off an enormous amount of debt. Lori is working 3 jobs one is for Cat who we met in the Dirty Rich series Book #1. It's after leaving Cat & Reese's apartment one day that Lori literally runs into her Prince Charming. The man is beautiful and kind and so swoony. But Lori knows that fairytales aren't real and quickly declines the Prince's offer for coffee. Lori feels a moment of regret but continues on her day with her 2 other jobs until she has to meet with Cat later that evening at the apartment. As their meeting is cut short, Lori finishes her drink in the lobby bar only to look up to find no other than Prince Charming across the room. This book is fun & hot, intelligent & thoughtful, meaningful and trusting, the conversations are sarcastic and often miscommunicated, but ultimately the forever HEA that is in all fairytales does come true! I loved this book!!!

This story was phenomenal! Everything about this this story was pretty perfect for me. Hot, sexy, Dirty talk, sizzling chemistry, and smokin sex scenes. This book will be sure to light your fire, steal your breath and make your heart beat a little faster. Provocative, sensual, and utterly addictive, I couldn’t put this story down. Cole and Lori are great!

Lori is truly “Miss Independence”. She will do it in her own time and on her own. Relying on someone other than herself is a good trait but there’s more to it than that. Hers is based on the lack of trust. She WILL finish her law degree and take care of her mom and all of the debt from her father and it’s her job to do it.

Cole is honest and hard working and he fights for what he believes in. And when he meets, or rather, runs into, Lori on the street, he finds himself thinking of her. A lot. And when fate brings them together again (and it is Fate!), he begins to change. He wants her more. He thinks of her all the time. He needs her. He sees more for them than today. He keeps pushing because he’s head over heels. But for every step forward he takes, she’s taking two backwards.

He’s going to mess it up. But she may have already done that. Trust and acceptance. And love.

I loved Cole and Lori’s story. I loved the cases they worked on and Cat’s book and the ever-true support of Reese and Cat. Lori’s biggest mistake was in thinking of herself as Cinderella instead of the strong, fierce and resilient woman she really is.

Lisa Renee Jones does it again! Dirty Rich is, in my opinion, one of her best books to date.

Lori's life is not what she expected. Only 9 months from graduating from Stanford law school her whole life changed. Now back in New York taking care of her mother she is working 3 jobs just to make ends meet. Then when she runs into Cole twice in one day she takes a chance and does what she never does - has a one night stand. And that is when everything changes.

Cole Brooks wants Lori and had decided a one night stand is not enough. But after months of trying to find her, he is about to give up until he finds out she is his new law intern. Now determined to make her his Cole will do anything he can to help her - that is if she will just let him.

I loved the premise and story line of this book. It seemed different and much more light hearted then Ms Jones's previous stories. Don't get me wrong she still has plenty of courtroom drama and lots of romance throughout. Told in dual POV's we get both sides of this amazing story and we get to see old friends Cat and Reece along with some members of Walker Security (loved this).

All in all so worth the time - go read it!

What can I say except HOLY HOTNESS BATMAN!!! I mean really, first off the heat factor in this one was off the charts. I thought my phone was going to burst into flames quite literally. I really loved Lori and found she was so relatable. She was struggling and refused asking for help. She absolutely would not be a charity case. I think that relates to a whole lot of women and I love when authors make their characters believable. Cole, well that man was like sex on a stick. He had me from the get go. I loved the first book and this one was equally as good. I can't say better because Cat and Reese were just the couple that started it all. There is drama but I didn't feel like this was dark and twisty which I happen to like. But to be honest, I'm not sure there isn't anything this author puts out that I'm not reading and going to love. Characters from the first book do appear and while I fully believe you should read the first one because well Cat and Reese are simply perfection, you absolutely can read this one as a standalone.

Lori was so close to achieving her dream of finishing law school however the unexpected death of her father as well as her mother having a stroke required that she withdraw so that she could help financially. She is now working three jobs trying to pay the medical bills when she bumps into Cole, a sexy stranger. The chemistry between them is off the charts so Lori decides to let herself have one night with this man as a break from the stress of her life but she leaves in the morning before they can talk.

Cole knew from the moment that he met Lori that she was different from any other woman he met. His attempts to track her down are unsuccessful or at least they were until she showed up in his office as part of the scholarship program and was now his employee. He wants to continue their relationship, but she doesn’t want the reputation of sleeping with the boss but working together is a temptation neither of them can deny.

Lori is determined to remain independent while Cole just wants to make her life easier which makes for some heated exchanges both in and outside of the bedroom. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

I love this couple! Lori and Cole are absolute fire together. Lori is strong and independent. She’s trying to get life back on track for both her mom and herself. The devastation caused by her father’s death has made her determined to have complete control of her future. A one night stand is out of character for her, but Cole is exactly what she needed.

Cole doesn’t need anyone, until he needs Lori. He is successful, powerful, and sure of himself. His feelings for Lori are unexpected, and he’s shocked when she leaves him nothing more than a note signed with her first name after their night together. Watching him chase after her is one of the best parts of this book. I love a man determined to get what he wants.

I forgot how much I loved Cat & Reese together. Catching a glimpse of their life after the book put a huge smile on my face. Beyond the relationship Lori & Cole have together, we also get to experience their friendships with Cat & Reese ( they are perfect).

I just LOVED this story. Lori was this strong and a survivor of a crappy past that shook her and her mother, but when a one night stand turns into so much more she fights not only herself but Cole. The chemistry between them was off the charts and it was so much fun reading them together.

Hot, steamy, and oh so good! Another great read by this author. Lori and Cole are a dynamic match. I loved getting more of Reese and Cat. This is a story that I will read again and again. I hope to see more of these characters in the future. I received an ARC. This is my honest review.

Cole and Lori are the definition of hot, intense, passionate, sexy, and lust. This book had me from the very beginning. Lisa's talented writing let's you feel every emotion that Cole and Lori feel. I promise you won't be disappointed.

I received this book in exchange for an honest review. When I first heard about this book, I knew I was going to love it. Something about Lisa Renee Jones' writing speaks to me. Unfortunately, this didn't really live up to the hype in my head.

I have always loved Lisa Renee Jones as an author but this book just fell flat for me. The characters seemed a little too perfectly imperfect. I know that sounds contradictory but it was like every flaw was created with the other character in mind. There seemed to be no growth in either character which is a shame.

The one shining star in this book is the plot, I loved the twists and turns and I enjoyed reading it. It was interesting and it kept me wanting to read the rest of the book.

Unfortunately, this book just wasn't for me. I'm rating it 3 stars because the plot was interesting and kept me entertained.

Loved this book! One night turns into an impossible to ignore forever! Cole and Lori are a sexy couple that have a push and pull start and heat up quick! And it was a bonus to have Cat and Reese in the book too!

Cinderella runs into her Prince Charming, literally. Both are stunned by the encounter but Lori Havens rebuffs anything further from Cole Brooks. But fate has more in store for when they both show up at the same bar. Assumptions and assessments are made about each other and Lori agrees to a one-night stand because she knows she will never see him again.Cole and Lori's first night together is so erotically charged it practically arcs off the page because of the electricity between them.

I sooo LOVE Lisa Renee Jones, everything she writes is amazing to me! So excited to have this delivered to me last nite after I preordered a while ago & then forgot about it! Well, after reading this newest book of hers, there is absolutely nothing unforgettable about it. Lisa writes about a character seen in the previous book, Dirty Rich One Night Stand (read this 1st, SO HOT it will burn up your ereader). Cat's friend Lori, a Stanford student, who helps her edit her crime novels is the h in this one. She is working many jobs trying to pay back a horrible debt her father died & left she & her sick mother with. Lori then had to quit law school to care for her mother after her stroke & work her
a$$ off to pay down the debt & keep them afloat. She trusts no one & doesn't want to be pitied by anyone either. She's tough, she needs no one. Reese, Cat's husband, a very successful lawyer, is joining law firms with his close friend Cole, the extremely swoon worthy H. Lori & Cole met very accidentally & end up eventually having their own Dirty One Night stand, she not wanting more than that & he not able to stop thinking about her. What happens next? Oh my, lots! Read this one & see for yourself, you will love the chemistry...I'm still fanning myself! Enjoy little snippets of Walker Security characters thrown in here & there. I love when this happens in a series I have previously enjoyed & then you have spinoffs like this Dirty Rich series, Pulled Under & Falling Under. Every book LRJ writes is a lovely, tasty treat that I will savor & most likely reread again because they are just that great. Can't recommend this author enough.

This series keeps getting better and better. I love Cole and Lori's story. The met when she ran into him while turning the corner on a busy sidewalk. It was love at first sight if they had been honest with themselves but life is never that easy. The journey these two experience is an amazing story that is worthy of everyone reading. I would give this story 10 stars if I could, Lisa Renee Jones gets better and better with her books.

Lisa wins again with her outstanding novel writing skills. I literally cannot put her books down tell the end. So I never start her books on a weekday. It's not just about romance and new love. Her characters have depth and at times it makes you hold your breath like your there with them. Only this author does that for me. Excellent!

Just because this stands on its own, doesn’t mean we have left DIRTY RICH ONE NIGHT STAND behind. Lori works for Cat and Cole has been friends with Reese since college. So – Yeah! – a bit more of Cat and Reese! I love the small bits showing that their love has continued as strongly as ever. Their story didn’t end at “and they lived happily ever after.” It continues in the love of their careers, friends, and their relationship.

I freaking love Lori and Cole. Lori is stubborn, stubborn, stubborn. She is so determined to make her own way in the world that she almost didn’t recognize that love is a good thing. Like many, she has been mentally twisted up by something one of her parents did. She’s a woman who wants to control her own destiny, but she’s allowing the past hurt to control her more than she realizes.

Cole is alpha, a workaholic, and committed to never being committed,. All of that changes, and none of that changes when he meets Lori. He is good at reading people and he knows she’s different. He’s still alpha. He’s still committed to his job. But the HEA of being committed to one person can only happen when he shares control with Lori.

I love that they are both able to compartmentalize work hours and personal time. It’s not an easy skill, but for some of us it is inherent. I love that they are able to argue – correction, debate – without it becoming a personal sting. Instead they listen to each other and find the truth whether it is her side, his, or somewhere in the middle.

I absolutely loved this story. I could not put it down (and missed a few hours of sleep for it!). So worth it! Because they are lawyers, there were several cases discussed as they prepared for trials and I enjoyed that. There is also plenty of sexy time. Then there is the proposal. It had me laughing and tearing up at the same time. I could totally see that scene playing out in movie format!

As wonderful as the first two stories in this series have been, I hope there will be more!

This book is fun & hot, intelligent & thoughtful, meaningful and trusting, the conversations are sarcastic and often miscommunicated, but ultimately the forever HEA that is in all fairytales does come true! I loved this book!!!

Lori and Cole instantly had me falling for them. My heart was broken for Lori with the turn of events of her life. But she was lucky enough to have some great friends who I met in the previous book that would not leave her side. She was trying to find her way and be the best daughter she could be. The there was Cole. And WOWZA hoe hot were these two!!! Cole pushed Lori to her limits and did not know what hit him. And then there is the second meet. I was giddy over it. Knowing the characters had crazy chemistry, I could not wait to see what would happen next.

Dirty Rich Cinderella Story had you feeling the fairy tale with the reality of a relationship. The intensity and angst you get from the story will have you captivated. I did not put this book down until I reached the very end. Afterwards it took some time to come back to reality. Lisa is a favorite author of mine and her Dirty Rich books are becoming a new favorite of mine!

I loved this book! Cole was everything, & I wish I could find a Cole! Lori frustrated me, but the beauty of Lisa’s writing is that I understood her & empathized with her. Once they decided to really be in a relationship is when the book really soared for me. I also loved that we got some glimpses of Reese & Cat from Dirty Rich One Night Stand, but you do not need to read that book to enjoy this one (but you should as it’s a great book!). This book will take you on a roller coaster ride of emotions, & you will not regret reading it!

Lisa Renee Jones has created a story so wonderfully written, that I found it hard to put down. She completely captured Lori "Cinderella" and Cole "Prince Charming" so incredibly well that this story seems to take off on its own! She has made each character multidimensional with feelings we can all identify with. Enjoy this terrific story.

In this second book in the "Dirty Rich series you will find the two main characters, Cat and Reese, are included in this delightful story as well.

Another hit yet again by Ms. Jones. Lori and Cole literally meet by bumping into one another on the street. It is instant fireworks for both, but Lori has all kinds of personal issues that she can’t put on the back burner. So she is reluctant to give in to her needs and wants. I enjoyed watching them work together. The book is fast paced and filled with all different kinds of drama. Loved seeing Cat and Reese and the Walker security boys. I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy.

Dirty Rich Cinderella Story by Lisa Renee Jones is Cole and Lori’s story. This is a beautifully written modern day fairytale romance full of twists and turns, suspense and of course hotness that get you from the first page. I loved this book so much. I wasn’t able to put it down. This author is amazing and doesn’t disappoint. I highly recommend this book!!!

Lori and Cole will make you believe in fairy tales... I absolutely loved the emotions in this story! The characters are so evenly matched, but able to still find each others vulnerabilities and find their happily ever after.

Loved it!

I loved everything about Cole and Lori’s story. It was fun, sexy, and I loved the look we got into their jobs as lawyers. I’m a sucker for fairy tale retellings and while this is a fairly loose retelling, I fell for them hook, line, and sinker.

Cole is one of my favorite book boyfriends of the year! He is all in from the get go and was completely drawn to Lori. After a one night stand, they can’t avoid each other when Lori walks into her new job and finds Cole is one of her new bosses.

Lori is a strong and independent woman. Things that have happened in the past, have caused her to put walls up and not trust easily. Cole is determined to break down those walls, be someone that Lori can trust and count on. While I loved the strength of both of these characters, there were times where I wanted Cat to stop pushing Reese away. However, I also understood her history and that it was hard for her to let him in and the angst ended up being one of my favorite parts of their story!

I loved the secondary characters in this story. Cat and Reese are wonderful and I will definitely be going back to read their story at some point in the future. It was also nice to see some of the Walker brothers!

This story was fun, well-paced, and their chemistry was off the charts. The epilogue left me with a smile on my face and I’m so glad I get to dive right into Cole and Lori’s second book.

The second book in this series is another winner. I just loved Cole and Lori. A hot one night stand turns into a hot affair with the boss. There's also an entertaining plot. We also get to visit with Reese and Cat from the first book.

DIRTY RICH CINDERELLA STORY is book two in the Dirty Rich series. Several characters from the Walker Security series make an appearance but there's no problem jumping right into the story.

Lori Havens is almost done with her law degree at Stanford. Circumstances had her temporarily leaving school and in the meantime, she's struggling with several jobs to pay the bills for her and her mom. One of those jobs is working as a researcher for Cat Summers, who we met in book 1. Lori quite literally runs into a handsome stranger and has a fantastic one night stand. But when she takes an intern job with Cat's husband, Reese, she finds herself face to face with her Prince Charming and her new boss, Cole Brooks.

I'll begin by saying that although there's several references and parallels to the fairytale, Cinderella, it's really more of a modern interpretation very loosely based on it. So if fairytales aren't your thing, no worries, you won't find evil stepmothers in this one!

BUT, there is one hell of a sexy Prince Charming in Cole Brooks. He was really the star for me because he was so accepting and adoring with Lori. He was smart, successful. Even more, Cole was dominating without being overbearing, passionate without being oppressive. And frankly, he put up with a lot of Lori's crap! Don't get me wrong, I liked Lori. I could totally understand her reasons for constantly pushing Cole away but at the same time I wanted to bop her over the head for being so damn stubborn, LOL! She was a strong woman with solid values but Cole stole my heart and I was so antsy for him to get his HEA.

Once again, L.R. Jones has given us a wonderfully witty story with sexy, savvy characters. Told from dual POVs with a happy ending. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book.

A very sensual story of lust, power, success and the ability to find your happily ever after.

I choose my rating because the story was quite boring and she was too insecure. She had too much pride and acted like a complete B word most of the time. There just wasn't enough excitement and I found myself skipping pages because I hate not completing a book.

These are very much like the fairytale stories but I still enjoy the wild romances and I really appreciate the life of the story intertwined with court action, the Royce Walker firm and all the suspense throughout the story. I also loved the camaraderie between Lori and Cat, Reese and Cole and of course the folks that work with the Walker firm. I also purchased the second book that doesn't show up on my purchases, however, the story gets better as both couples get to know each other better and solve their issues. It is a great book to read. I could not book the book down. And ladies, there are a lot of hot and steamy scenes!
