A wonderful mix between mystery, love, and drama. I would recommend this book to anyone who needs a little reminder that we all have a dark side and there is someone out there willing to share some light with you.

Knowing the next book has been wrote, this novel was basically wasted words. Waste of 8$ to keep us pacified. Yes Ella made a few revelations but i s still a puzzle, don't bother wasting your money on this one. I am about done w these authors stringing along fans- for the sake of sales-

I loved and enjoyed the memorizing and spellbinding Careless Whispers sequel written by the phenomenally talented Lisa Renee Jones.
Ella's memory is slowly coming back and Kayden tells her what he knows about the butterfly necklace. Ella and Kayden's feelings for each other irrevocably link the two together. As more and more of Ella's memories surface, more questions are answered and more questions arise.
Read the highly recommended, beautifully written, captivating and engaging romantic love story of Ella and Kayden. Can't wait for the sequel in the series!

This series is getting better and better with each chapter. I love all of the mystery and intrigue with this story. Although I am desperate to know what is coming and what is really in Ella's past, I like that it is slowly unfolding and not being rushed.

In the first book it ends on a cliff hanger and I could not wait to find out what happened after that shower scene. This second book did not disappoint and it really made me like these characters more. They are both so strong and they really work well together.

I don't want to give a lot away, but there were a lot of resolved issues and at the same time there are still so many unresolved issues. This is the reason I love this series. The mystery is still going and with each tiny mystery solved and new one emerged and I enjoy that.

This series is a MUST read and is a series, book one is a necessity to read first.

Demand by Lisa Renee Jones is a compelling Romantic Suspense that will keep you glued to your ereader and flipping through those pages to try and figure everything out!

Let's begin with this - Yes, Demand is part of a series. It is Book 2 in the careless Whispers series and should truly be read in order as it builds on information from the previous book. No fear though, if you read and are afraid you won't remember... Lisa sums Denial (book #1) up beautifully before you dive in to Demand.

Demand picks up right where Lisa left us salivating for more in Denial. We are right back into the thick of things with Ella and Kayden. Immersed in their intensity, the action, the feelings, the confusion, the absolute HOTNESS that is the chemistry between them and the sweet development of their relationship. We get some answers to questions that have burning in our minds after Denial, but alas we are left with even more questions! This book takes on twists and turns as we are given glimpses and hints at what the final truth may be. It is fantastic because I was always guessing, seeing what I could pick up and put together, and hoping that I am right! It is a true suspense.. so we till don't know everything and I LOVE THAT!

I read Demand straight through because I just needed to know! Well know as much as I could ;) While the suspense encompassed the entire book.. there is also a love story here. And watching them together... it was crazy hot and sweet. watching how protective they both are to each other.. melted my heart. Yet the passion that ignites between them is off the charts. It also had my emotions raw and on edge as I went through everything with the characters.

I highly recommend Demand (and Denial). If you are looking to be taken for a ride with a gripping story that will have you constantly questioning things, a fantastic love story and characters you can't help but become attached to, then this book is for you! I will be counting the days until I get my hands on the next book in the series!

Demand by Lisa Renee Jones picks off where it last left off in Denial so reading the first book is a must. Unanswered questions of who Kayden is and what is his intentions are begins to unravel. With Ella demanding to know the truth, readers are thrown into a whirlwind and gamut of emotions, secrets, and more unanswered secrets.

Lisa Renee Jones has a knack in keeping her readers on their toes because this book DEMANDS your complete and undivided attention because the suspense, mystery, and passion will have you on the edge. Although Kayden and Ella’s sexual attraction and feelings for each other has reached this intense level, can she trust him when slowly pieces of the truth are unraveling? And questions of Kayden’s intention begins to linger?

Demand is one of those stories that can’t be reviewed properly in a sense without giving or spoiling the story. But what I can tell you is that Lisa Renee Jones has masterfully and tactfully created a storyline that is raw, intense, passionate, and suspenseful. In this sensual, seductive and sinful read, Ms. Jones has weaved a suspenseful story that is brimming with excitement, chicanery, and love. All I can say this book demanded my full attention and I can’t wait to see what else is in store with Kayden and Ella.

If you haven't read Denial then stop reading now. You must read it before you read this one. Ok, now onto my review. I fell head over heels in love with Kayden and Ella in Denial and when it ended with the cliffhangers of all cliffhangers, I screamed, threw my kindle down and didn't pick it back up for a few days. Literally, I could not read anything for days. This book ends right where Denial ended. LRJ definitely knows how to draw a reader in and hold them captive throughout. I love her writing style and how it just all flows so well. I'm reading along and before I know it I'm at the end. Ella still has amnesia but she is definitely not a weak character. In fact, she is probably stronger and more fiery than most. She can give as good as she gets that's for sure. I really can't comment enough about how awesome LRJ wrote Ella's characters. She made her have so much depth, I felt like I was talking to Ella as if she were a real person. And then there is Kayden and oh my goodness can that man melt some panties!! ((WHEW EEEEE)) But once again LRJ writes him as if he were a real person and we're sitting right there with them. There is quite the suspense and danger lurking you just know it, but of course in true LRJ fashion she will keep you on the edge of your seat just waiting for something to happen and then just when you think you have something figured out, BAM something (even though it could be something really small) happens to totally change your tune. You really feel the genuine love between Kayden and Ella. URGH, it's so hard not to spoil anything so I will leave you with this... If you thought the Inside Out Series was mind blowing just wait until you read this series. I honestly didn't think anyone could take Chris and Sara's place (i.e. from the Inside Out series) in my heart, but Kayden and Ella have surpassed them. I will always hold a special place in my heart for Chris and Sara but Kayden and Ella have become one of my favorite couples ever!! Please, please, please hurry with book 3. Pretty please!!! This book was more than just a 5 AMAZEBALLS star read in my book. And last I will be telling anyone and everyone to read this book, actually I recommend reading all of LRJ's books because every single one is fantastic!!!

Ella’s amnesia is still a problem but she has started suffering from crippling flash backs and starting to remember certain things putting pressure on her relationship with Kayden. Is he who he seems? Who’s the mysterious man she’s running from ? And who can she trust?
I have been waiting for Ella’s story since the first book in the Inside Out series and I have loved every minute of it so far. The writing as always is excellent and the plot is full of twists and turns. In the end as usual we are left with a massive cliff hanger with a lot more questions than we have answers. I am seriously so addicted I will be stalking the author for the date of the next book as I seriously can’t wait, I just hope Ella gets the ending she deserves.

This series has turned out to be so freaking addicting and with every book I feel satisfied, but still can't wait for more. With a series there is always this fear that you will forget some of the past stories and feel lost when you start the next book, that is not the case here.

So much has happened in this series and I don't want to spoil anything. Instead, I will just tell you my feels. I love how the story moves so quickly and has so much suspense, but also this huge connection and love between Kayden and Ella. While I love the intrigue, mystery and suspense I am in love with how they have grown together and become more. Their connection is real and genuine and unconditional.

I always say I am not a huge suspense reader, but then I pick these up and just want more and more. I love how throughout this trilogy we are learning bits and pieces about the entire mafia, mob and The Underground. Every chapter we get a little peek of how everything plays together and seeing Ella'a past come to light has me eager to turn the page.

This series is a quick read, because you will be anxious to turn the page and learn more. It's also sexy and hot as sin, with a real love story involved. If you are looking for a sexy, mysterious book/series this is for you!

Okay, this is one of the best series I have ever read. I'm obsessed and engrossed and I really, really cannot wait to see how this all turns out! The second instalment begins exactly where the first ended, questioning Kayden's involvement with her before her amnesia.

This is fast-paced, highly suspenseful drama, with a slowly but deeply unfurling love story; every single character is immaculately created, the complexity thoroughly thought out. Kayden is already one of my favourite book boyfriends, and I am seriously falling for a fictional character right now. I need more, I need to read on and know all about Ella.

I really cannot recommend this series enough.

Demand started right after where Denial left off. Once again, I was pulled into the story. If I have loved them in the first book, my feelings towards Ella and Kayden in this second installment escalated and I just have changed my top BBF's. ;) If you have read DENIAL then surely you know what I mean. But if not, please do the honor because trust me this hero is just a HOOOOT!

Moving forward, I could definitely say from beginning 'til the end I was invested.I could not put the book down. I was just sucked into a roller coaster of emotion one you grasp so tight and don't want to let go. In fact even after reading the book I could not form any coherent thoughts. I was just staring blankly and just uttered WOW because to be honest that's how I describe DEMAND. Right from the start, as you read every word there's this magnetic feeling towards you and the story why you can't let it go.

To be honest, this is not my first Lisa Renee Jones book and to tell you she keeps getting better and better to every book she have written. I was not surprised though because she really has the talent and her great talent and her brilliant thinking just showed perfectly as you read the book. Demand is just EXCELLENT! It was just flawless. The romantic suspense and the mystery and the puzzles of pieces, the twist and turn of the events will keep you in the edge but really in a good way. That feeling when you have to guess and even wanted to solve whatever mystery and look for clues is just a proof that her words and lines just pulled you right in. Amazingy and brilliantly written. And for all of those holy! The author even coupled it with so damn hot sizzling scenes that just made the story artfully and tastefully great! *Fanning

If you haven’t read book one, DENIAL, stop what you’re doing and purchase that sexy beast right away! The Careless Whispers Series is a true series, and must be read in order. Once again, Lisa Renee Jones puts me under her spell with DEMAND, book two in this sexy, sensual, and SUSPENSEFUL series! Nobody does mystery, twists, turns, and suspense like Jones. She has magic in her writing and it’s like a drug to me. I’m addicted. I’m breathless. I’m under the influence and give absolutely zero ****s! We get more questions than answers, but what do you expect with book two out of a trilogy? Did you read Denial a while ago, but don’t have time for a complete re-read? Don’t you worry. Lisa sums up DENIAL at the very beginning, so you will feel like you never left the couple. As soon as I was done with that I was jumping up and down, ready to do this thing. Before I even began chapter one my heart was racing and I just knew that this second installment would be MAJOR!

I can’t summarize this book without giving anything away, but we are thrust right back into an intense scene between Ella and Kayden. Betrayal will be at the tip of your tongue throughout this story, but don’t be too quick to judge. We don’t have all of the pieces yet. Shivers, suspense, and sex are PACKED into this book, and all I can tell you is that, after I read it, I immediately wanted to do a re-read. OH! OH! OH! And guess what? If you’re a fan of Lisa’s INSIDE OUT Series…the moment…the reunion you’ve been waiting for…OMG! It happens!!! And it’s EVERYTHING you would’ve hoped for. Lisa Renee Jones did GOOD for sure! Ok - we all remember what happened in the first book, right?

I did a quick re-read because of my #Bookalzheimers, but I didn't really need it - LRJ does a short summary of book #1 at beginning of book #2! I loved that - I wish all authors would do that with their series. Because - BOOKALZHEIMERS SUCKS!!!

Ella woke up in the hospital with no memory and with hottie Kayden at her bedside!
Lots of exciting and sexy stuff happens until we end up with Ella pointing a gun at Kayden at the end of book #1.

And now at the beginning of book #2 we're right back at that gun-moment.
But of course she doesn't shoot him. She's 99% in love with him already. She just wants to know the truth. Why does Kayden have a picture of the butterfly necklace in a file? Did he lie to her and he really does know her? Or of her or whatever? But no, he says he only knows of the butterfly thing, but not that she had anything to do with it. And she believes him.

But there are still too many unanswered questions running amok in Ella's head.

And that persistent cop Gallo is not giving up either - he's constantly showing up at Kayden's castle.

This second book has lots of dangerous problems and lots of sexy moments with Ella & Kayden for us!

We have a really long way still to go until Ella and Kayden might be able to catch sight of a Happily Ever After on the horizon.... there's another book left after this one... so ... probably no Happy End yet ☺

What will happen to Ella & Kayden?
How did she end up in that alley?
Will she ever remember?
Will everybody survive?
Or will there be a horrible Cliffhanger again?

Phew - such a great second book!
I was afraid that it's been too long since book #1, but I was right back in the story with them.
And we just love them - we soo want Ella to find her Happy End with Kayden, but we still don't know what happened to her ... ugh - totally frustrating!

And we also still don't know all the things Kayden is keeping from Ella and we just want him to be the good guy. He is the good guy - but still - lots of secrets are flying around!

I loved this book....
It gets a bit frustrating here and there because we just want to fast forward to their Happy End - but Ella is still missing huge parts of her past and all the present problems added to that...the cop, the mafia guy, Kayden's dangerous job, Ella's past ... grrr ☺

I can't wait to read book #3 - I need them to get their Happy End!!!

Demand starts exactly to the second where Denial ended...in a shower.

Ella is still suffering from amnesia but because of a trauma within the castle, she is experiencing more frequent and intense blackouts. They give her little clues into her past. She is both excited and scared as f- of these memories. She doesn't know who to trust. Not even herself. Her gut and heart tell her to trust Kayden. She prays that she is right. She also hopes like hell that they are not enemies. Enemies that never met and that is their connection. What she does know is that she knows how to shoot, fight, and speak French. Who the hell is she?

While she is trying to put pieces of her life together, there is also a war going on between cartels and Kayden's hunting business is in the middle. All for a necklace. A necklace that Ella's mind knows where it is located. There is also family drama within the castle. Between everything that is going on in such a short amount of time, she is surprisingly calm. That makes her think that maybe she is used to this type of lifestyle, mystery, and danger. There has to be someone out there that knows who she is and why she ended up in such a faraway place.

I like this story because it's totally mysterious. I want to know who Ella is! We know she is a bada- with a gun, not afraid to speak her mind, and loves to have some sexy times with Kayden but who is she underneath it all? Is she Kayden's enemy? And what if she is? What will happen to the connection they have developed?

Overall...it's a mysterious, sexy, intriguing love story with some added twists and turns around every corner.

I've been impatiently waiting for this second part to Ella's mystery. And I'm glad to say it's overwhelmingly satisfactory.

The action shoots off right where it left at the end of Denial. Thankfully, the author reminded me of the details I needed to refresh characters and circumstances before jumping into a new scene.

Tension between Ella and darkly powerful Kayden was crackling. Rapid-fire dialogues, risky moves and dangerous enemies circling about like sharks really marked a fantastic beginning.
Every page felt filled bursting with breathless intensity that arises from Ella's struggle. Doubts, questions, distrust, and the triggering fear that her mind might be hiding dark secrets that could not only endanger her life, but her relationship with Kayden.

I was hooked to the way Ella navigates the twisted roads of her amnesia. The mystery behind it was so gripping. Also, she's so smart and resilient when facing enemies or the intense, yet gritty relationship with the Hawk.

Reading this novel felt like immersing myself in water and not going bacfk to the surface for air as I was so consumed by the narrative. Mafia,connections, a chain of broken memories, a leap of faith beteween Kayden and Ella as they trust each other's feelings against uncertainty, darkness and murder.

This second part is intense with secrecy, suspense, powerful romance and strong, smart scenes. I couldn't hold a gasp when I reached the end. Ella has proven to be a remarkable woman, resilient, intelligent and interesting.

I love The Underground and its leader, and I'm so glad that I got to unravel part of this trilogy's plot. Just one more step to get to its much coveted conclusion: Surrender!

I am absolutely loving the Careless Whispers series by Lisa Renee Jones HARD! It has captivated me from the first page of the first book, DENIAL, and just keeps getting better. DEMAND picks up immediately following the OMGoodness ending of DENIAL, Book 1 in the series, and, oh, how this book continues to deliver. The intrigue, the delicious tension, the hotter-than-all-heck sexiness, Lisa Renee just keeps it all coming.

As Ella becomes more involved with Kayden and the Underground, her memories, although still sketchy, continue to return, revealing more of her past, while leaving many questions unanswered. And, as the pieces in the mystery surrounding the necklace that plays such a big part of Ella's forgotten past begin to come together, the players in the dangerous race to find it are revealed.

As a note, the books in the Careless Whispers series build on each other, so it is important to read them in order, because you will have missed out on all the backstory if DENIAL isn't read first. The great news there is that these books are such great reads, that you'll devour them and be left wanting more.

DEMAND is part steamy romance, part political intrigue, and all riveting, an action-packed thrill ride that does disappoint. I did have that moment of, 'Are you KIDDING me?!' when I got to the end of the big reveal, only to find that I'm going to be waiting for the rest of the pieces to come together. Why? Because SURRENDER, the third book in the series, is still to come, but that just means more Kayden and Ella goodness, and I couldn't be more thrilled. As with all of Lisa Renee's books, DEMAND is an easy 5-star read for me, and I can't wait to get my hands on SURRENDER come December. You'll want to add this series to your TBR, because it is not to be missed.

She has magic in her writing and it’s like a drug to me. I’m addicted. I’m breathless. I’m under the influence and give absolutely zero ****s! We get more questions than answers, but what do you expect with book two out of a trilogy? Did you read Denial a while ago, but don’t have time for a complete re-read? Don’t you worry. Lisa sums up DENIAL at the very beginning, so you will feel like you never left the couple. As soon as I was done with that I was jumping up and down, ready to do this thing. Before I even began chapter one my heart was racing and I just knew that this second installment would be MAJOR!

I can’t summarize this book without giving anything away, but we are thrust right back into an intense scene between Ella and Kayden. Betrayal will be at the tip of your tongue throughout this story, but don’t be too quick to judge. We don’t have all of the pieces yet. Just look out for more twists, more turns, more DEMANDING Kayden! Shivers, suspense, and sex are PACKED into this book, and all I can tell you is that, after I read it, I immediately wanted to do a re-read. OH! OH! OH! And guess what? If you’re a fan of Lisa’s INSIDE OUT Series…the moment…the reunion you’ve been waiting for…OMG! It happens!!! And it’s EVERYTHING you would’ve hoped for. Lisa Renee Jones did GOOD for sure! She still has me in her clutches and there is NO LETTING GO in sight! With Denial and Demand out in the wild, and Surrender (book three in the series) releasing in November, you can expect multiple re-reads in my future. Lisa Renee Jones gives us another series to pine for…another series to beg for…and more characters that you will fall completely in love with!

Ok - we all remember what happened in the first book, right?

I did a quick re-read because of my #Bookalzheimers, but I didn't really need it - LRJ does a short summary of book #1 at beginning of book #2! I loved that - I wish all authors would do that with their series. Because - BOOKALZHEIMERS SUCKS!!!

Ella woke up in the hospital with no memory and with hottie Kayden at her bedside!
Lots of exciting and sexy stuff happens until we end up with Ella pointing a gun at Kayden at the end of book #1.

And now at the beginning of book #2 we're right back at that gun-moment.
But of course she doesn't shoot him. She's 99% in love with him already. She just wants to know the truth. Why does Kayden have a picture of the butterfly necklace in a file? Did he lie to her and he really does know her? Or of her or whatever? But no, he says he only knows of the butterfly thing, but not that she had anything to do with it. And she believes him.

But there are still too many unanswered questions running amok in Ella's head.

And that persistent cop Gallo is not giving up either - he's constantly showing up at Kayden's castle.

This second book has lots of dangerous problems and lots of sexy moments with Ella & Kayden for us!

We have a really long way still to go until Ella and Kayden might be able to catch sight of a Happily Ever After on the horizon.... there's another book left after this one... so ... probably no Happy End yet ☺

How did she end up in that alley?
Will she ever remember?
Will everybody survive?
Or will there be a horrible Cliffhanger again?

Phew - such a great second book!
I was afraid that it's been too long since book #1, but I was right back in the story with them.
And we just love them - we soo want Ella to find her Happy End with Kayden, but we still don't know what happened to her ... ugh - totally frustrating!

And we also still don't know all the things Kayden is keeping from Ella and we just want him to be the good guy. He is the good guy - but still - lots of secrets are flying around!

I loved this book....
It gets a bit frustrating here and there because we just want to fast forward to their Happy End - but Ella is still missing huge parts of her past and all the present problems added to that...the cop, the mafia guy, Kayden's dangerous job, Ella's past ... grrr ☺

I can't wait to read book #3 - I need them to get their Happy End!!!

Demand is the second book in the Careless Whispers Series. It's not an ordinary type of love story. Ella doesn't know her past. She just knows that she has to stay in hiding and with Kayden's help she is doing that. She is also falling for the man but can she truly trust him? Demand starts exactly to the second where Denial ended...in a shower.

Ella is still suffering from amnesia but because of a trauma within the castle, she is experiencing more frequent and intense blackouts. They give her little clues into her past. She is both excited and scared as f- of these memories. She doesn't know who to trust. Not even herself. Her gut and heart tell her to trust Kayden. She prays that she is right. She also hopes like hell that they are not enemies. Enemies that never met and that is their connection. What she does know is that she knows how to shoot, fight, and speak French. Who the hell is she?

While she is trying to put pieces of her life together, there is also a war going on between cartels and Kayden's hunting business is in the middle. All for a necklace. A necklace that Ella's mind knows where it is located. There is also family drama within the castle. Between everything that is going on in such a short amount of time, she is surprisingly calm. That makes her think that maybe she is used to this type of lifestyle, mystery, and danger. There has to be someone out there that knows who she is and why she ended up in such a faraway place.

I like this story because it's totally mysterious. I want to know who Ella is! We know she is a bada- with a gun, not afraid to speak her mind, and loves to have some sexy times with Kayden but who is she underneath it all? Is she Kayden's enemy? And what if she is? What will happen to the connection they have developed?

Overall...it's a mysterious, sexy, intriguing love story with some added twists and turns around every corner.

I've been impatiently waiting for this second part to Ella's mystery. And I'm glad to say it's overwhelmingly satisfactory.

The action shoots off right where it left at the end of Denial. Thankfully, the author reminded me of the details I needed to refresh characters and circumstances before jumping into a new scene.

Tension between Ella and darkly powerful Kayden was crackling. Rapid-fire dialogues, risky moves and dangerous enemies circling about like sharks really marked a fantastic beginning.
Every page felt filled bursting with breathless intensity that arises from Ella's struggle. Doubts, questions, distrust, and the triggering fear that her mind might be hiding dark secrets that could not only endanger her life, but her relationship with Kayden.

I was hooked to the way Ella navigates the twisted roads of her amnesia. The mystery behind it was so gripping. Also, she's so smart and resilient when facing enemies or the intense, yet gritty relationship with the Hawk.

Reading this novel felt like immersing myself in water and not going bacfk to the surface for air as I was so consumed by the narrative. Mafia,connections, a chain of broken memories, a leap of faith beteween Kayden and Ella as they trust each other's feelings against uncertainty, darkness and murder.

This second part is intense with secrecy, suspense, powerful romance and strong, smart scenes. I couldn't hold a gasp when I reached the end. Ella has proven to be a remarkable woman, resilient, intelligent and interesting.

I love The Underground and its leader, and I'm so glad that I got to unravel part of this trilogy's plot. Just one more step to get to its much coveted conclusion: Surrender!

I am absolutely loving the Careless Whispers series by Lisa Renee Jones HARD! It has captivated me from the first page of the first book, DENIAL, and just keeps getting better. DEMAND picks up immediately following the OMGoodness ending of DENIAL, Book 1 in the series, and, oh, how this book continues to deliver. The intrigue, the delicious tension, the hotter-than-all-heck sexiness, Lisa Renee just keeps it all coming.

As Ella becomes more involved with Kayden and the Underground, her memories, although still sketchy, continue to return, revealing more of her past, while leaving many questions unanswered. And, as the pieces in the mystery surrounding the necklace that plays such a big part of Ella's forgotten past begin to come together, the players in the dangerous race to find it are revealed.

As a note, the books in the Careless Whispers series build on each other, so it is important to read them in order, because you will have missed out on all the backstory if DENIAL isn't read first. The great news there is that these books are such great reads, that you'll devour them and be left wanting more.

DEMAND is part steamy romance, part political intrigue, and all riveting, an action-packed thrill ride that does disappoint. I did have that moment of, 'Are you KIDDING me?!' when I got to the end of the big reveal, only to find that I'm going to be waiting for the rest of the pieces to come together. Why? Because SURRENDER, the third book in the series, is still to come, but that just means more Kayden and Ella goodness, and I couldn't be more thrilled. As with all of Lisa Renee's books, DEMAND is an easy 5-star read for me, and I can't wait to get my hands on SURRENDER come December. You'll want to add this series to your TBR, because it is not to be missed.

Amnesia is a tough thing but when the memories start coming back, can Ella be the person she once was?
This book starts off right where we leave Ella and Kayden left off in the first book. Fighting to see of her instinct are right about the man she has fallen in love with. Trust is big when you rely on only instinct and no memory.
In this book we have more than just that struggle giving herself over to Kayden and trusting him completely is one thing but can she trust herself or who she used to be? We have some mysteries solved and others that spring up.
I loved this book and Lisa's style of keeping you intrigued till the very end is why I love it most. I mean we have drama, danger and passion all the way through leaving us with another cliffer begging for the next book.
Kayden, the Hawk the ultimate protector and he belongs to her, willingly with everything he has and so much more. I loved it!!

Demand starts off where Denial ends and I love how there is a recap at the beginning of the book as well as a list of characters reminding us of who everyone is. That bit of info helped me so much. I was thinking I would need to recap myself but it was really nice how it was already done.

So in my opinion Kayden did a complete 180. I wasn't sure what to think of him in the first book and being that it left us hanging I didn't know if I particularly liked him. Well I think in this book we really get to know him and the person he is. Yes he still is a little hard to read and keeps his guard up but all with good reason, we slowly get to see the soft side of him too, and his love and commitment to the people he is close to.

Ella is starting to remember things but her amnesia is still very much present as memories come to surface she finally begins to discover the reason why she was running. Let me say I loved Ella and as the book went on we find out what a badass she really is. She's a strong and tough woman who wants to uncover the truth. I really love the relationship between her and Kayden and by the end of the book it is clear they each have a mutual respect for each other. I like how Kayden was protective but let her be her own person too.

I think there is still a lot to be learned in this series and I'll be anxiously awaiting the next book.

I recommend but make sure you read Denial first.

First, that recap before the book even starts….just pulls you in. OMG I cannot even put into words how amazing this book was! Starting off in the shower with a drop dead sexy man, only to point a gun at him because you’re not sure where you stand. Hot damn! Talk about drama.

Here’s what we know, Ella has amnesia. Small bits of her life are coming back to her but not fast enough. Ella is so confused on who to trust. She knows she’s in danger, she knows she may have something of extreme value to a lot of people. But she also has a gut feeling that Kayden is a good guy. Yes, he’s the leader of the Underground, but he has a good heart. Even though he is brutal to his rivals, he’s a good man. She is struggling and struggling hard on where to place him. Yes, she is in his bed, but is she there because he wants her or because he needs her for information! That’s the problem with the amnesia. Here you have a man, makes you weak in the knees just looking at him, willing to lay his life on the line for you, powerful leader of a secret dangerous organization, letting you into his world without truly knowing who you are….and she has DOUBTS?! No, no, just no. Girlfriend you grab Kayden with both hands and NEVER let go!

I love that you get more answers than questions in this one. And man oh man…do you get answers!! Ella is slowly becoming herself again. And this girl has a backbone! I loved it, absolutely loved it!

I think I would read this ladies shopping list as she never fails to bring a great read...Her combination of romance and suspense just leaves me hanging every time and this book was no different.

Ella is getting more memories back and some gaps are starting to fill and we are getting a clearer picture of who Ella really is and yet Lisa gives us nothing to keep us totally wondering Who is Ella Ferguson?

Jayden really comes into his own in this book he switches between bad boy and swoon worthy as things intensify between him and Ella, and I just love his character.

This is a fantastic middle book with lots happening, some questions answered and a lot more to be revealed.

All in all this was a great read, poetically written, totally enchanting and excilerating and full of sexiness and suspense. I can't wait for the final part.

This story picks up right after the previous book left off. Ella is demanding answers from Kayden, while pointing a gun at him. Who is she really? Why does he have that picture of the necklace? Did he lie when he said that he didn’t know her? And most importantly, can she really trust him? She wants to know the truth, but some truths only lead to more questions.

This novel was a great follow-up to the first book in the series. There’s plenty of action and suspense that will keep you on your toes. Ella and Kayden’s relationship was a big part of this book, and there are some very sexy moments between them. I’ve gotten invested in the story and the characters. This book won’t disappoint you if you’re a fan of this author. There is still another one coming after this, and I can’t wait to know how everything will be resolved!

I started off reading Lisa Renee Jones' Inside Out series, and I was very happy when she continued Ella's storyline in this spinoff series (Careless Whispers). The first book, Denial, was a great start to the spinoff and after the cliffhanger there, I couldn't wait to pick up Demand to see where things led. For me, Demand was more about the suspense, drama, mystery and intrigue of The Underground and everything between it and the different mafia families and other ties.

While there's a good dose of steamy scenes between Ella and Kayden, to me it felt like the romance parts took a backseat to the rest of the story in this installment. That's not a bad thing--diving further into the mystery means getting pulled further and further in to the series, and of course by now I'm to the point where I can't not finish and find out all the answers.

The answers? Well, you'll get some in Demand, but of course other questions are raised, and by the end you'll be left desperately craving the third book, Surrender. I know I am. Demand gets 4 solid stars from me, and if you're already a fans of the series, I think you'll be pretty darn happy with this book. Recommended for readers 18+ for adult language and sexual content.

Demand picks up from the cliffhanger ending in Denial. Ella continues to struggle with who to trust since she still has amnesia. While she wants to trust Kayden, the man she's not only come to rely on but also developed strong feelings for, she knows that he knows more than he is saying. Pieces of the puzzle are starting to come together as Ella tries to remember and figure out the roles others have played in her ending up in Italy without her memories.

Lisa Renee Jones continues to bring the suspense, angst, and heat along with the return of key characters from the Inside Out series. The Careless Whispers series does need to read in order to understand the characters and story development. There are many more questions to answer in the final book of the series, Surrender.

Demand starts the moment after Denial ends. We return to Ella questioning Kayden. Ella finds her feet in Demand, she slowly begins to puzzle together her past. She determined to remember so that she doesn't put Kayden or his men at risk. Who was the man she ran from?

"I have to remember him. The time bomb that is my mind will haunt us both, and I don't want that."

Kayden and Ella's relationship grows exponentially and causing Ella further fears of who true identity. Kayden reassures Ella on his commitment to her safety. He's more than just the leader (the Hawk) of The Underground, he has set up other security measures. There's plenty of mafia and police drama. The story is pretty intense at times, the secrets are coming to light as Ella is remembering more of her past. However the elusive butterfly necklace is still a mystery. There's a surprise visit at the end as well. The questions remains how far will Kayden go to protect Ella. This series is a crime drama with a touch of romance. 4 Stars.

The suspense and the thrills in this second book from the Careless whispers series had my heart beating out of my chest!! Demand starts off literally where Denial left off with Ella demanding answers from Kayden forcefully since she has a glock on him. Kayden being the Alpha male that we all love is not one to be forced into giving answers. Are Kayden's answers enough for Ella though ? Flashbacks and bits and pieces of memories are coming back to Ella ,but are those memories and flashbacks what Ella needs to bring her closer to Kayden or make her push him away ? Lisa Renee Jones has given us another great story that has us dying to know just what more can happen and who do we trust and steer far away from. This book will have you turning page to page without wanting to come up for air. I could not put this book down!!!

Demand is the highly suspenseful follow up in Lisa Renee Jones' Careless Whispers series. Picking up in the highly charged scene we left off in in Denial, Ella believes herself in a position to finally uncover some answers. But true to the spirit of the series, the answers only serve to raise further questions.

Her understandable turmoil is echoed throughout her internal dialogue, which also acts as a device to heighten intrigue, along with the flashbacks she continues to suffer. Although her feelings for Kayden feel anything but a lie, she can't help but have moments of niggling doubts. Can she trust what little she does know to be real? Can Kayden intentions be trusted? Can she even trust herself?

With outside sources such as Detective Gallo and The Italian mob in the fray, Kayden and Ella's relationship hinges on more than her memory returning, and it seems we still have a way to go before we uncover the truth behind Ella's identity. And until then, I remain on the edge of my seat.

With Demand Lisa Renee Jones weaves a story of a passionate love affair embroiled in suspicion and betrayal. It's without question a compelling read.

This is the 2nd book in the Careless Whispers Collection. You should teally read the 1st one in order to fully know her story, although she does a really good job explaining the characters and what happened in the other book right at the beginning of this book (which btw I love).
In this book we learn more about Ella's life before her amnesia. She is slowly remembering things and becoming a stronger person because of it. Kayden and Ella have this intense connection and are in love with one another. She is definitely a fighter and is proving to herself and Kayden that she deserves to be standing right by his side.
Can't wait to learn how their story unfolds.

5 Crazy Ass Must Read/Listen Stars!!!!

I don't know how I miss the release of this book. I had it on my stalking list. I'm sure my oversight is due to my book whorish ways.
This book picks up right where Denial left off with Ella holding a gun on Kayden. Holy Moly! I had to go back and skim through denial to get a refresher after just listening to the preface of the book. It'd been over a year and 400+ books in between. The second go round was no less intriguing and had chomping at the bit for this book even more.
The narrator did an amazing job with all the character giving each one their own distinctive voice and bringing them all to life. Very impressed with Elizabeth Louise storytelling.
I don't want to give anything away because I don't want to take away from the suspense of it all. Lisa Renee did an amazing job weaving everything together keeping me on the edge of my seat throughout. Seriously, I got so into the story while folding laundry, that at quite a few points I was wringing shirts, towels, and the like.
I felt more connected to Ella and Kayden in this book. Maybe it was the audiobook but I felt Lisa gave them more life.
I can't wait to get my hand on Surrender. There are still so many questions that are killing me.

Five Fantastic Stars! This is the second book in the Careless Whispers Series. and should be read in order to fully understand the story. The story begins where we left off at the end of Denial. I want to know what happened to Ella and we learn more in this book about what happened. I can't summarize what happens in this book without giving to much away. Of course there are more twists and turns, more suspense, more mystery, and more hot romance. Ms. Jones has a way of writing that captures your attention with the first page and keeps you until the last page wanting to know more. Ella and Kayden have chemistry that is through the roof! Beware though this book does end on a cliffhanger. I am looking forward to reading the third book in the series which comes out at the end of the year. This is a series that I highly recommend!

This is the second book in the Careless Whispers series and I've been dying to get my hands on it! Book one, Denial, ends rather abruptly and there are plenty of questions left unanswered.

Demand is great. It fills in enough gaps to satisfy you while simultaneously leaving you intrigued enough to want more.

If you haven't read book #1, I highly recommend it - you also really need to have read it to pick up where it was left off.

If you have, you'll have met Kayden and his "Hawkish" ways. He's loyal, protective and honourable. Ella is still trying to find herself but now has support and passion...but does she have trust? Can they trust each other? Is one of them even mistrustful of themselves?

I thoroughly enjoyed this story. It's a quick, enjoyable read. Perfect for a summer holiday beside the pool. Now I need to wait for book #3, Surrender.

Wow! The shower scene between Kayden and Ella was right where you left off in Denial. We are learning more and more about Ella. She obviously just wasn't a teacher. The big question is who is she. I'm fascinated by Kayden and his tough guy facade and big heart. The last two pages were making me scared because I want to know how it ends. I can't wait for Surrender!

The suspence, the passion, and the unknown if Ella's past add up to a thrilling continuation of the Careless Whispers Series. Ella i starting to regain parts of her memory in the the form of flashbacks and Kayden is by her side through it all. Learning that she fled one mob boss for another has her on edge, but she trusts Kayden to protect her. With his power, Kayden keeps one mob boss happy while pursuing the other. Lisa has also connected two of her other series the Inside Out Series and the Tall, Dark, and Deadly series (Walker Brothers Security). Ella is friends with Sara from the Inside Out Series, her husband hired Walker Security to find Ella. This is a stand alone series but I recommend reading the other series for the back story of Sara and Blake from Walker Security.

UPDATE: I just finished this series. Unfortunately, my hunch was right. I personally think this story line was overly drawn out and should have been wrapped up in one book, certainly no more than two. There seemed to be way too much rehashing the same content. Goodness, even the same conversations were repeated between characters. I.e., Ella would reveal something to Kayden, another character entered the room and she told them, then here came someone else, and they were filled in. More talk than action, folks. Looking back, book 1 was the only book I don't regret reading. Book 2 gave a few more pieces to the puzzle, so I had high hopes Book 3, Surrender, was really going to kick everything into high gear. At 60% into it, I surrendered to my frustration and stopped reading. I honestly no longer care who has the dang necklace or Ella's past. Some authors can pull off a three books series and kept readers thoroughly engaged. This author, IMHO, failed to do that.

As to be expected, this book picks up exactly where Denial, Book 1, ends. So here’s an important, very obvious tip. Read book 1 first or you’ll be lost, folks. There is a large cast of present and past characters and a multi-pronged plot to keep track of. So, yeah, things are rather complicated, so you’d better pay attention if you want to keep up.

Since I’m usually all about romance, I’m surprised as anyone the unfolding plot revolving around Ella had me more intrigued than the romantic aspect. There’s was simply too many hidden secrets/unknown that I just had to know that I didn’t mind the constant couple interruptions. Likely because I won’t feel they are truly a real couple until I finally find out who Ella really is and what Kayden may or may not be hiding. We are given more pieces of the puzzle near the end of book 2, but still not quite enough.

With writing that features lengthy discussions that at times comes across clipped, back and forth, and on several occasions in circles, by around 76% I felt there was too much talk among all the characters rehashing the same content and not enough action taking place. Maybe it’s just my impatience getting the best of me, because I really want to get to the bottom of everything. Of course, that won’t be happening until the conclusion of book 3, Surrender. At least in Demand, we see Ella and Kayden emotionally connect and pledge their love and allegiance to one another, to which we hope will stand strong against the wrath of vengeance of the bad guy who likely still is going to come for his Ella.

So, if you have read book 1 and are like me, you’ll need closure and curiosity will compel you to keep reading. Be prepared for some very graphic smexy scenes with lusty language, folks. At 20%, there was a brief, not overly intense BDSM scene between the main couple and another lengthier one later on in the book. Since that just isn’t my thing, I tend to skip over them. There are, of course, more flashbacks of the abusive type scenes Ella had to endure that definitely made me uncomfortable. If there are a lot more later on, I'll likely regret reading this series all together.

Well, two down...and one to go. It’s time to finally wrap things up with Surrender. Here’s to hoping it’ll make reading all these sequels worth it. Frankly, I feel this story could have been told in a condensed one book version, but that is just my humble opinion. Others may really appreciate the drawn-0ut anticipation that gave the author loads of time for flashbacks, discussions of "what if/could have/should have, etc.", and heroine hand-wringing.

Demand continues exactly where Denial finishes. Who is Ella Ferguson and what has she gotten herself mixed up in? The search for the butterfly necklace continues and everyone has come out to play. The mob, the mafia, the local police and The Underground. Everyone wants it for their own reasons. How did Ella end up with this necklace? Where is it now and why is it so coveted?

More secrets are revealed, questions answered and doubts are raised as the mystery continues in book 2 of The Careless Whispers series. The more we learn about Ella’s past, the more we wonder where it all will lead and who her real friends are. Who are the enemies pretending to be friends? Who has she met by coincidence and who has set her up for their own gain.

Demand sees Ella having more flashbacks and many more triggers are revealed. The bond between her and Kayden grows ever stronger and his protectiveness over her makes him a swoon-worthy hero. Her public coming out as Kayden’s woman is a very powerful statement to the world and for the couple. Ella is realizing that she is not a fragile flower but a strong woman and perfect partner for Kayden in both his business and his bed. Can she be both?

I am really enjoying this series. All of the questions keep me on my toes and my keep my mind sharp trying to pick out all the little clues that Ms. Jones has so cleverly hidden in her words. I enjoy her writing style and although I sometimes find I want to get moving with the story I also recognize that every part is essential to the puzzle and the bigger picture. Ms. Jones has a very descriptive style. From the inner workings of Kayden’s amazing castle home to the streets of Italy, she has my imagination working on full tilt, giving me everything I need to lose myself in each and every scene. The danger is intense and the possibilities have my heart racing at times.
Ms. Jones keeps your attention throughout the whole story with the many mystery’s left to resolve and the amazing chemistry and sexual connection between Ella and Kayden. Her descriptions of Kayden’s physical appearance is eye-candy to the imagination and the way she creates their sexual relationship is like a beautifully slow and sensual dance drawing the reader in to enjoy the ministrations of Kayden’s sexual fantasies. Ella is a very lucky woman. Every once in a while, she raises my doubts about Kayden and I hope that whatever truths lie ahead, Ella and Kayden will conquer them together.

I am happy that I do not have long to wait for the continuation of the saga as Surrender will be available in January 2017.

Demand is the second installment in the « Careless Whispers » series, a spin-off of the « Inside Out » series. Lisa Renee Jones weaves layers upon layers of mystery in this fast paced and riveting romantic suspense that picks up where Denial left off.

Ella was mugged and suffers from extensive memory loss caused by a head injury. She doesn’t recall anything, not even her name. At her side in her hospital room, she finds Kayden Wilkens, the powerful and wealthy leader of the Underground, a dangerous organization whose activities border on legality and are connected to the mob. Ella doesn’t’ know much about him, but she has decided to trust him, even if she is completely at his mercy. Kayden is bossy, protective and intends to help her find the answers she needs. Their relationship is based on a strong emotional connection, but Ella doesn’t know what the future holds for them. Kayden is an intriguing character. He is an irresistible combination of tenderness and danger.
Ella’s memories are slowly returning and she is convinced that an ancient necklace, worth a large fortune, is a key to the mystery. As it happens, the Italian and French mafias are looking for it. Ella is still suppressing memories of things she can’t handle or could endanger her relationship with Kayden. She is conflicted, though and wants to face her past, exposing herself to triggers. She is still very confused and questions her past connections to several mafia bosses.

This story had a general atmosphere of deceit, danger and secrets that I enjoyed. I found that the writing style of Ms. Jones was utterly addictive. This book ends with a bang and we are left with many questions unanswered! I can’t wait to get all the answers in the final installment in this captivating series, “Surrender”.

I absolutely love this series! This is the second book in the series so if you haven't read the first one, you need to read it first. This series just keeps getting better and better. Ella has started getting some of her memory back and with it comes a whole new set of problems. Problems that she will have to face with Kayden. Speaking of Kayden, I think he gets hotter on every page. This couple ranks at the top of my book couples list for sure! There is romance, intrigue, excitement, suspense and emotions all rolled into this book. This is a must read series! I cannot wait for the next book to come out!

This is book two in The Careless Whipers series, and book one - Denial - absolutely needs to be read first before reading this book. If you haven't read Denial, you may see spoilers in this review - be forewarned.

This book picks up right where Denial left off, Ella and Kayden in the shower with her holding a gun pointed at him. That was a big cliffhanger to leave off on and I was happy to see this pick back up right where it had left off. And I appreciated the little list of major players in the book at the very beginning, since it had been awhile since reading Denial. A little refresher of who is who.

In this exciting installment, Ella starts to get more flashbacks on her past. But the ones of 'him' still aren't clear, in the beginning. She struggles with what 'he' had done to her and why she was even with 'him', she can never see his face good enough in the flash of memories. Which makes her wonder who to trust still. But even though that, she and Kayden start to build more of a relationship together. He says he only wants to protect her. And being The Hawk, he can offer her the protection she needs. With Gallo (the detective) still hot on her heels, she knows the only way to be truly safe, is to get all her memories back. And that is exactly what she is determined to do! Regardless of the cost.

I really love Miss Jones writing style. One thing that I do not like is a lot of repetition in books, and even though this book is all about flashbacks here and there of Ella's past, and several are of the same memory, I never felt that she kept repeating her self to the point I got bored with the story. Yes, Ella had the same memories over and over again, but they way the story is told, it seems like a new one each time. I was never bored while reading this.

Actually, the opposite is true, I was so immersed in the storyline, that I found myself eager to turn the page to see what happens next. And a lot happens in this book!

We get a lot of information revealed in this installment, not the whole picture of who exactly Ella is, and how Kayden and the underground all plays a part in this, but we do get some answers to some questions we were left with at the end of Denial. I can't wait for The next installment, it's like watching my favorite tv show and the season ending and making me anxious for the new one to start. Definitely a great story that I can't wait to dive back into!

The characters are all great, the storyline never fell flat for me and the suspense is just the right amount that I can't wait for Surrender to be released. I'm excited to see what comes next now that we know more of Ella's past and why exactly she was in that alley that Kayden found her in, in the first place.
