Because there are many repeated phrases and a few words used in correctly...I am guessing English is a second language for the author. That being said, the books did keep you interested enough to want to finish the series.

The book was well written but this book in particular was kind of slow In the middle. I am the kind of reader who likes action at all times, and that is why I only gave it 4 stars. But once again I am very intrigue with the ending, and can't wait to read the next one!

The Sorcerers Ring Series Morgan Rice has just released the sixth book and just as the others in the series it delivers a great journey of remarkable characters.
The sixth book A Change of Valor makes you see the hero's and those who sat back now rise to the challenge. Series touch on a country that for the most part are very proud people willing to take us on an extraordinary tale of their lives. It makes you think how fad would you go for country, love, and Valor.
Thank you again Morgan Rice and keep writing. I love these characters just as .such as the ones in of The Survival series (gives Hunger Games a series that can hold its own) The Vampire Journals area great read as well as The Vampire Legacy.

I like the book, however there are parts that are starting to become a bit surrealistic. sudden and implausible things start happening, I'm assuming to keep the story going. It is a good story, and the flow is nice. the happenings just keep reminding you that it is a preteen story, written for the age group who doesn't demand plausibility.

The story and characters are done well. The book series keeps you interested and wanting to know more. The big negative for me was the terrible editing and grammar errors. Many wrong words used, words left out of sentences, too many words in the wrong places, wrong names for the characters, all making it hard to follow at times. If you can read past these the story is good.

I have had a hard time finishing this book because everything in the first 75 pages in either sad or negative. the firstlady is raped her brother is hung, her other holds a child hostage. The hero is off in another country being attacked...

I like the overall story concept but the writing is very predictable and tedious at times. I am trying to finish series to find out what happens. The further you get into the series the harder it is to stick with it.

A Charge of Valor continues the exciting and epic story of The Ring, the MacGils, and the unassuming young hero Thor. In this one the story intensifies and more details and perils unfold. I am enjoying every chapter of this series! The proofing is lacking, but easily forgiven with such great writing.

Great series. Well written as far as plot development, characterization, and world building. Grammar leaves a lot to be desired. Don't know if this is due to poor editing, self editing, or if this is an issue due to conversion to ebook format. Is ongoing issue in all books in b series so far

I recommend the series as a whole, but would cannot honestly recommend any of the books.
This book is a continuation the five previous books. It extends the same plotlines: Erec & Co, Thor& Co., Gareth, and Gwen & her Court. A Good series writer can keep the reader interested if they start at the beginning of the series; a great series writer can keep the reader interested no matter which book they start at; and they do it without feeling like the beginning of the book is a "Last time on ..." section. Morgan Rice is a 'good' writer, but not a great one. This may be a book, but it lacks two of the three essential elements for a plot: Beginning and End; the whole book is 'middle'. If you read the first five books, you can jump right into this one because they are the beginning, but don't try to read this book to try to get a "feel" for the series.
This series has a very adolescent mentality with romantic relationships, with the characters, and with plot development. In all the cases where two people fall in love it's love at first sight (literally), so it implies that romantic love is always love at first sight. Characters are cliché: the heroes are all perfectly heroic (strong, loyal, modest, etc.), the villains have all perfected their villainy, and even the drunks are cliché. Furthermore, the characters all somehow have this "sixth" sense. They generally seem to know everything and only rarely does the author explain how they know.
Switching gears for a moment, no one seems to have actually read this book before it was published. Grammatical mistakes abound. There are places where it seems clear the author re-arranged the wording in a section and then left it with extra or missing words and on occasion a missing sentence.
Overall, I really like the story of this series. It's a bit juvenile, but it's in the "teen" section, so it's expected. The way the authors tells the story makes it a fairly easy and quick read (except for the grammar). if this review seems harsh, it's because I feel that a little effort could have turned this series from a three star mediocre affair into an notable epic.
