David Dalglish has a number of book series set in the land of Dezrel, and this one is by far my favorite series. Night of Wolves begins an exciting storyline that hooks the reader quickly, and stands just as well alone as it does as part of the Paladin Series. The writing can seem a tad abrupt sometimes, but the characters are fun, and have grown to be some of my favorites in fantasy.

I enjoyed the story line, would like a little more background on the world that the characters live in. I will be getting the next book in the series to see what happens with the main characters, the Paladins. Lots of action and ease of reading, I would recommend this book to other fans of fantasy books.

This was my first read from David Dalglish. I have already purchased the remaining novels in this series. He brings all the characters to life; good and evil. When you read his novels you don't read about his world, you are taken to it!

After reading the Half-Orcs saga, I had to read more of David Dalglish. I couldn't put this book down, he has a way of setting the reader up for the long haul. I'm looking forward to the next installments.

I thought it was a very intriguing book with plenty of adventure. I had heard of this author, but never read any of his books. Thought I would give this series a try and was very please. I am now on book 2.

The premise, characters, and setting were engaging and I read the book in one sitting. The only problem I had with the story is that it is so short, 217 pages. Comparable fantasy books start at 350+ pages and the really good ones are 700+.

This novel started out amazingly well in how it introduced each character as if we were already in the middle of an epic tale and the development of each figure draws you in even more. I would certainly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a story that flows easily from one tense moment to another.

I read this book and was somewhat disappointed. It seemed to be written for the younger set as opposed to adults. The story was not that intriguing and slow to move.I detected some religious symbolism and some preaching about persecuting people for the way they worship. The names of the Werewolves were laughable and they were not your typical man who changes into a monster, which I prefer. If you are over 18,don't bother to read this series.

Storyline was good but also read another book he wrote and he seems to keep to much focus on religion and lack of a timeline. Everything seems a jumble. Overall good read as long as you don't read the other series at the same time.

I read the half- orc series first, and Jerico was in them. I liked him and Lathaar, so reading about him again makes me happy I also like Darius, who is in the 5th half-orc book. Now it's time to get the next book.

Ok, obviously people read reviews, and their all the same. I am not going to write some big review, I just wanted to give it 4 stars. It needs some improvement, like more detailed writing, but its a good book. It deserves a chance

Dalglish has gotten a stranglehold on classic fantasy in the vein of the old Dragonlance and Forgotten Realms books, and that's not a bad thing. If you're a fan of this sort of epic fantasy, I'd recommend him, particularly Night of Wolves.

I first downloaded this ebook on smashwords and I found it interesting. The world building was an unobtrusive and it was more readable than many other fantasy novels out there.

However, the story seems a bit rushed and for that I deduct one star.

this book takes place before the Half-Orc series, and it is here we get to see the actions and choices that made Jerico the hero he is in other books. David Daglish does a great job of letting the read see into the mind of his characters and doesnt disappoint with this prequel

Was a great book. Started off thinking it was going to be a letdown, but it came on strong, kept me hooked, and left me anticipating the next two books tremendously! Would recommend this book to everyone.

My overall impression --- a great first installment!
It started off kind of slow --- but what novel doesn't ?
There were lots of characters in the first half that came and went (and got killed in the meantime),
but the book settled down to a story of two (seemingly) exact opposites who were fighting for the same reasons.
Lots of great battles, lots of good description --- a very enjoyable read that got better and better the more I read.
Most importantly, it made me want to read the next book --- right away. Don't know of a better compliment than that --
I'm 79% through the second book now .....
