I am not usually fond of sword and sorcery stories, there are just too many bad ones, but this series based on magical powers and fantastic realms is surprisingly great. Even though the author says he isn't into world-building, preferring to concentrate on action and plot, his characters are well-rounded, realistic and endearing. They go through ethical, moral and personal struggles and the relationships are realistic and compelling. The Territories are well-realized and make sense of the various powers and personalities that the Travelers (read wizards) exhibit. After reading the series, I am annoyed that I can't earn powers in Candy Crush, like Simon does in Valinhall. And, the action is edge of your seat. Recommended.

Delightful end to a trilogy. Some good characters lost, but that just added depth to the tale. Enough comic relief with the dolls to keep the story from bogging down in seriousness. The hero is just the perfect mix of innocence and bravery. I never lost interest from start to finish. Looking forward to Wight's next books.

I really enjoyed the first two books, but this one was not as good in my opinion. It felt as if the writer had lost the plot a bit and was writing filler.

If there is another, I will try the sample first, rather than buy outright as I did this time.

A nice wrap up for an excellent trilogy. Will Wight out did himself with this trilogy. It's fast pace and non-stop action is only equaled by the great humor and excellent characterization of his characters. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who likes high fantasy.

I had initially picked up House of Blades because the store suggested it from another book I had purchased. It was a great investment and it was rewarded with the concluding novel. The characters and interesting and the world is unique and always entertaining. Additionally, Will does a great job of communicating with his readers and letting us see what is going on in his head. I'll miss the Traveler's Gate world as Will moves on to his next project, but I eagerly look forward to reading his next offering.

A very different approach to "magic" which I liked. It is a really great story. If you are a character development reader, this one is a little quick. If however you prefer the quick get into it kind of story, this will definitely be a book for you.

It's refreshing to come along a good fantasy tale that's rooted in a fully realized system, well-rounded relatable characters, and good writing. I look forward to further installments as some questions about the different realms come to mind - but hey, it's a good thing when you want more.

A really exciting book, but I hesitate to call it s thrilling conclusion. I don't really feel like the story is over and I hope there's more coming, but City of LIGHT had all the action and excitement that House of Blades and the Crimson Vault do.

OMG!!!! I am absolutely flabbergasted that Mr. Wright could complete this series with such a bang. This whole series was spellbinding from start to finish. A book I can recommend to any fantasy lover as a really great read.

Very well-written series. Writing style is roughly on par with Robert Jordan or David Eddings (in his pentalogy mode). At first, upon seeing the low price I was really expecting more of an Eddings in trilogy mode stylistically, so I was quite pleasantly surprised. Interesting premise and good character development. I can accept thin plot logic if the writer is adept at dialogue and grammar; this plot line is actually quite solid as well. I am now firmly in this author's camp and look forward to his next series!

I read tons of the store self published books and only take the time to post 5 star reviews for books worth 5 stats. Great series with fun characters and a unique main character and magic.

All 3 books are worth the money and time to read.

Interesting world. A little too combat focused for my liking. It seemed the books in this trilogy just detailed one battle after another. It became rather boring. There really wasn't much story line besides the battles.

Had two incidents that kind of had me wondering, otherwise this delivered a great ending that has me a will wight fan. One of the better fantasy series out there today and its just his first three books.

Was a great read. Lived the characters and pacing of the book.

To me one of the greatest parts of the book it really ended the story. I had closure and was happy with how it ended.

He didn't try and drag the story out over 10 mini novels trying to make a buck he gave me 3 great books with closure.

While I wouldn't mind more stories from this universe but I'm happy with what I got.

After reading the first two books of the Traveler's Gate Trilogy (twice each!), I couldn't wait to see how the storyline continued and got wrapped up. It was great! I love the world Will Wight has built here, and am looking forward to new books in the future!
