I love the entire Knitting In The City series. All of the books are fantastic, but this book, Dan and Kat's story is my favorite. If you can find it, Scenes From the Hallway is a must read before this, it fills in some of the time between their first meeting and this book. As usual, Penny Reid did a great job and gave me ALL the feels with this book. I'm sad the series came to end. Definitely worth the time to read all the books.

I eagerly anticipated the release of this book, the conclusion to the Knitting in the City Series, and I was not at all disappointed. I loved Kat and Dan's story. It was sweet, sexy, and laugh-out-loud funny! I especially LOVED Dan and his fantastically foul mouth - his creative cursing was hysterical. The epilogue gave a glimpse of the future and left me with the hope for more. . . Another spin off maybe? I guess we'll see! ☺

An amazing conclusion to an EPIC, wonderful, lovely journey!
Penny doesn't disappoint - of course she never does. This tale of two people is just another testament to her skill and that if you write what interests you people will come. They will definitely come for this book. {pun intended ;) }
Bravo Penny, and THANK YOU for such an incredible journey through so many lives and events.

Penny writing always captures my attention. I don't care what book and series. This is a story I've been waiting for. The elusive Kat and her history is laid out finally. Dan's story has always been hinted at and we finally find out about his life before Quinn. Fantastic read I love Penny's quirkiness in her writing and her characters. I love the facts and how chapters are formatted with facts.

This was an unsurprisingly awesome read living up to everything I expect from the very talented Penny Reid. Read in almost one sitting. Couldn’t put it down. This was a fantastic end to my favorite series. Sad to see it end but everyone must read all the books in the series. Each one is well worth the time . Thank you for another fantastic story and sharing your fabulous characters.

Dan and Kay’s story is the final installment in the Knitting in the City series. I love how Dan is an action man. Kat is strong too. The thing I love about Penny Reid romance and particularly this series is that she has complex characters and nerdy subject matter but the reader can identify with the hero and heroine. Penny Reid is a talented writer and you should read all her books.

Penny Reid's Knitting in the City series has been a favorite of mine. I had waited on Dan the Security Man's book for so long. This book gives us more characters to love (Eleanor) and hate (Tiny Satan). The only disappointment that this book brings....It's the last in the series. Reid develops such strong characters that you wish they were real so that you could attend the Tuesday night knitting party, enjoy a nice cocktail and share laughs with them.

Dan the Security Man does not disappoint. I’ve loved him since Neanderthal Seeks Human but I fell in love with him in this book. He just kept getting better and better. Kat, like all of Penny’s girls, is so incredibly special. Intelligent, kind, generous, driven and incredibly vulnerable, but not helpless. Yes she needs Dan’s help, but she’s not helpless. Not even close.
I can’t even find it in my heart to be sad about this being the last Knitting in the City book because it ended so beautifully. It was a lovely ride.

This is my favorite book of my favorite series!!! I may think that after every installment but even after a week I can't stop thinking of Dan and Kat.
As a follower of Penny Reid since her first release watching her grow as a writer has been very special. I hope Marriage of Inconvenience makes her proud. This whole series has been something she should be proud of.

I am always waiting for any new release from Penny Reid- all her books are feel-good, funny, quirky, intelligent. I was not disappointed by marriage of inconvenience: it is gloriously long, with lots of hijinks and laughs and catching up with other knitting in the city characters (even a wonderful epilogue).

Perfectly perfect perfection.
Yup, this novel and this series is perfect.
Everything Dan is just *sigh* I love Dan the security man.
When I read a Penny Reid novel I feel smart. She has a way with words and people, everything is just so damn good.

This book...this series. Penny Reid is a master. Dan and Kat are my favorite couple in the series....I am in love with a fictitious man and I am ok with that. A must read...the audiobook is worth the investment. Prepare to laugh, cry and swoon from front to back. The perfect end to a fantastic series. I will miss this clan!

As usual, Reid delivers. Dan is charming, genuine, and interesting. Kat is weird, lovable, and awesome. The chemistry between them is excellent, but what's best is how well the whole series finishes out here. If you've been a fan of Knitting in the City so far, you'll enjoy this finale. If you haven't read the rest, do yourself a favor and go now to wherever books are loaned or sold and read them. Then come here and settle in with Dan and Kat for a delectable end to the series.

It was interesting end of great series, but in my opinion not the best of it. Dan was cute, his cursing made my day, really, but Kat was a little bit to much from time to time. And they didn't ˝touch˝ Tonya theme, i was really curious about that and a little bit angst add to fun:) But otherwise very nice book, I enjoyed.

Dan the security man was my favorite character from book one of the Knitting series. I love his sense of humor and foul mouth. Kat was always mysterious so I never really connected with her character in all the previous books. However, it was nice to see how mental illness affects family members no matter your social economic status.

This was a very enjoyable novel with the elements we can expect from this author - humour, warmth, well thought out plot and of course some beautiful continuity. Dan really was the man!
The rounding up at the end was unexpected and I’m still not certain about it but overall a very good read.

Loved this conclusion to the Knitting series so much! Loved all the recurring character updates. The main storyline was great. So funny and intelligent and real. Several laugh out loud moments. I'm just sad that this is
the end of the line. I'm a fan for life and will read anything and everything written by Penny Reid.

I have read the whole knitting series and fell in love with Kat and Dan's relationship early on like most people. I patiently waited for their story and believe this is not Penny's best but it is an average read for all of us who love the knitting group of women. I absolutely love Dan and his mom - wondering if Penny will write books about Dan's family since they are so much fun! Overall, Penny brings up subjects to keep us informed and keeping the theme of "Smart Romance". That being said, for some reason, the book didn't flow as well as it does with her other books. I look forward to reading more of Penny's books in the future.

Bought the set after reading a few in series. Love Penny’s writing style and she keeps me laughing. The one thing keeping me from giving 5 stars is repetitive theme. It got tiresome how hard most of the couples worked at misunderstanding each other instead of being together.

Penny Reid as always knows how to bring heart and love and compassion throughout her work!!! You get sucked into her realistic characters and their life, enjoying their stories and witty puns! She never fails to make me chuckle at the ridiculous jokes that I would have with my girlfriends! Love her novels!!! I am very sad to see this series ending!!!

Penney Reid just keeps on dishing out her best work yet! The only complaint I have is that this is the last book of the series and I just feel immense grief over that. I don't want to summarise the story because I am a firm believer of reading it for thy self and being immersed in the magic from the get go. And let me tell you, yes, this story is absolute magic!

Penny is my favorite! If you want to read romance that feeds your intellect then read all of Penny's books. Smartest author of romance I've ever read.
Dan is totally my type so this book just gave me all the feels. I also identify with Kat's insecurities and the constant fear of inheriting serious mental illness. I learn more from reading these books than I do at work.

I LOVE and own every Penny book, they never disappoint!! This book is not for the light hearted, the language is a bit R rated, not sex talk just real!! This is how a real Bostonian Irish male would talk and I LOVED IT. This book also wraps up the knitting in the city series. You do not need to read all books to enjoys this one, but it would help. Do yourself a favorand just read/listen to this book/series I promise you will not be disappointed.

Penny Reid is absolutely my favorite contemporary author. Her writing is smart, contemporary and treats me like I have a brain and I like to read romance. I love the continuance of characters, each story in this series has characters that interlock with others. This particular book in the series is one of my favorites.

I absolutely could not wait for this book!! Penny Reid is a fantastic writer who really can make you feel like you’re in the book.
Dan the security man and Kat *sigh* I was so excited for this book, especially after the Vegas chapel scene in NMH. I love that chapter!!! Dan and Kat are perfect for each other. They balance each other out perfectly and Dan backs Kat up without being to overbearing.

Good story, great characters. Every couple from the previous books was included and the loving relationships between friends - both female & male - were represented. The epilogue was wonderful!! Very good novel, Penny. This book was everything I needed it to be!

I have loved this series, and eagerly awaited this book, but found it disappointing. Kat’s dysfunction seemed contrived, as did the “misunderstanding.” The critical conflict driving the plots was almost absurd. I always enjoy the knitters, but this installment delivered little satisfaction.

I had preordered this book and the day it released it made me realize I had a good friend waiting. Filled with twists and turns and chemistry and intelligence. So much fun. I tried to stretch it out but I’m finished now - and I’m so sad it’s over.

I can’t remember the last time I guffawed while reading! No, really! I just discovered Ms Reid. I’m hooked. Refreshing characters, irresistible story line and, as I said, I laughed out loud. Watching Kat become self-assured and trusting is worth the price and teaches the value of friendship. Dan is a treat, a wonderful foil to Kat as well as his philosophy on gratitude.

I can’t recommend this book (and the entire series) enough. The humor and tone speaks to me at a cellular level, and I’ve fallen in love with each and every character.
For MoI specifically, I love that PR did a dual POV instead of just Kat’s perspective. I think it took the story to the next level. And being in Dan’s head, after all this time, was perfect.
While I’m sorry the KitC series has ended, I’m so happy to have it and be able to revisit so many of my favorite characters.

Loved, loved and love this book so much. Wish this could go on and on. These characters are so real. I had to read several snippets of the book to my husband since I was laughing so much. Great Story for Dan and Kat.

As in all of her books, Marriage of Inconvenience is equal parts laugh out loud funny and interesting. Her writing is so compelling that I have to pace myself or I’ll disregard the rest of humanity! Can’t wait for the next book.
