Bro Code is another fun and sexy novel from Kendall Ryan. I loved Barrett and Ava and thought their chemistry, banter and attraction was fantastic. I loved the push and pull between them and the way they filled a missing piece in one another. I could not get enough.

Successful attorney, Barrett Wilson, is living his best life in the city. While visiting his hometown he realizes he has a problem. He is a follower of the Bro Code and among the important commandments, "thou shall not sleep with your bestfriend's little sister" is proving to be the most difficult one for him. The reason: Ava Saunders. One look at his bestfriend's little sister and it was ON. But with one weekend of heated looks and touches, they realize they both want to explore their chemistry. But when a work conflict arises, will they both realize there is more at stake here than their careers?

Gah!! This story was so fun. It had everything I love in a Kendall Ryan story. It was emotional and honest. I loved being in Barrett's head seeing him so conflicted with his feelings for Ava, his misgivings about the bro-code and his ability to balance a relationship with his grueling work schedule. I thought this story hit all the right spots and I never wanted it to end.

All in all this was fantastic and I look forward to reading more books from this author in the future. Bravo! 4 stars! ~ Ratula

It was hot. The chemistry was there. Ava and Barrett did hit it off, and I love that feeling of anticipation of who’s going to finally make the first move. The cover is drool-worthy. It’s as sexy and steamy as what is inside the novel.

Ava has stepped up and taken control of the factory her father once ran and is trying to do right by the people who work there and the community. Back when Ava was a young girl, she had a crush on Barrett for a long time. But when she sees Barrett again for the first time in years, that cute boy she once knew is all man now (and I LOVE how she finds out about him being a MAN now).

I really enjoyed the chemistry between Ava and Barrett. It was so unbelievably sexy and their attraction to each other was so HOT!! I love that Barrett kept using “Bro Code” as his rule for not going any further with Ava, but when they did? Kindle. Melted.

Bro Code is a sweet, sexy and fun read. There is very light drama but the overall tone of the book is just fun. I do wish, however, that there was a little more time invested with the brother, Nick, since the book is entitled Bro Code.

Friends to lovers is one of my favorite tropes! I enjoyed having both viewpoints so we know what each character is feeling. Kendall Ryan delivered big time on the sexy in Bro Code. It was everything that you would want from a quick read with a surprise twist delivering the necessary angst.

I read this book way too fast. I cannot understand how time flew when I was reading this book. I can tell you that I loved it though and that you must read it. It's a stand-alone book and it doesn't belong in a series which is a shame because I want to read the story of Ava's brother. I hope he will get a book too. My only complaint is that the blurb sums up the whole story. Well, all but one or two chapters at the end. At least it was straightforward and I knew what to expect. Also we get to see how Ava and Barrett took their relationship a step further and how everything started which was good enough for me. I was convinced that these two should be together and I loved their story. I liked how dedicated Ava was into saving the factory and the people who worked there. That alone says a lot about the person she is and I liked her for it. Barrett, on the other hand, was not good enough. I cannot believe that he did what he did, but I liked the way he tried to fix everything in the end even if it ended up costing him a lot.

Bro code might not be Kendall Ryan's best work or the steamiest, but it will hold a play in my bookish heart. It was a good book and I enjoyed reading it and I am sure so will you. Mrs. Ryan continues her good book streak.

Ava has always had a thing about Barrett but she never thought she stood a chance. Now she’s on the path to success and nothing could get in the way of her and her career. Especially now that she’s moved home and she has no space of her own. Because honestly why would you want to bring a guy home when you live with your parents?

Barrett has always had a thing for Ava, but that goes against Bro Code. Something he takes very seriously. Especially where his best friend’s family are the only people who made him feel like he belongs. Besides he’s on the fast track at his law firm and is looking to make partner. When you work as many hours as he does you definitely don’t have time for a relationship. But what happens when you go home for a weekend and you find out you might have a chance?

I loved these two. There is something about Ryan’s writing that makes me laugh. She weaves a story that will leave you in stitches at times and giving you totally believable scenarios without being cliché and done all the time. And honestly, I hope Ryan writes a story about Ava’s brother. If you take a chance on Bro Code you won’t regret it.

The best friend and sister romance trope is one of my favorites, and Kendall Ryan delivers one with wonderful chemistry and banter. I was entertained from cover to cover.

Barrett is the typical Kendall Ryan hero: hot, charismatic, irresistible. And even though, I wanted him to get over the bro-code there was something charming about trying to do the right thing when the reader truly knows how much he wants to be with Ava.

Ava is a fantastic heroine, and my favorite type of leading lady. She is smart, and can banter with the best of them. What I love most though is her drive to be true to herself while making her family proud of her running of the company. She is the epitome of everything I love in a heroine.

This is romantic comedy, and, as expected, has very little conflict. The chemistry and interaction between the two characters is great and entertaining, but I need a touch more drama to my story or a unique conflict. Everything else though was really spot on in terms of characters and pacing.

If you love rom-com, witty back and forth conversations between lovable characters, then Bro-Code is exactly what you are looking for. It checks every single rom-com box.

For Barrett it was because Ava’s his best friends little sister, and the bro code clearly states sisters are off limits. Meanwhile, Ava's heard all about Barrett’s reputation as a “player.". But when a hometown visit brings them together once again, the rule book is about to be thrown out the window. Living in the moment is fine, but once everything is said and done, will they be able to minimize the storm, or will they get caught up in it?

I love it! Bro Code was sexy, fantastic and amazing off-the-wall chemistry! Barrett and Ava’s chemistry certainly captivated throughout the story, but what I love the most was the banter. Omg! I laughed so hard I literally had to smother myself with a pillow just so I wouldn’t wake everyone in the house. It was gold! As a hopeless romantic, I love the aspect of these two having a crush on each other and then as adult finally acting upon it…even with all the complications that went with it. An enjoyable read that I didn’t want it to ever end…ever.

And both of their lives are busy.
She's completely off limits...taboo, forbidden.

Too bad he's about to break all the rules...for her.

Sexy. Flirty. Sweet. Fun. Deep. Emotional. Bro Code by Kendall Ryan was a fantastic book that hooked me by the end of the very first page. I knew from that blurb this would be perfection but wow! Kendall pulled out all of the stops with this love story and delivered everything I crave in an unforgettable package. Ava and Barrett stormed onto my kindle with their complicated yet beautiful journey and fiercely stole every piece of my heart.

If you haven't read this author then you are missing out! She's one of the absolute best in contemporary romance.

This book was amazing! Fun, sexy, and forbidden! The characters are engaging, and the story line is interesting. Kendall Ryan is totally a one click author, and I knew I had to have this one right away!

Ava is a sweet, loyal woman. She has moved home to take over her father's company when he is forced to retire due to health reasons. When her mom throws her father a retirement party, Ava is suddenly confronted with all of the feelings that she had when she was younger for her older brother's best friend, Barrett. She knows that she should ignore those feelings, but they just keep coming up!

Barrett is a lawyer in Chicago. He comes home to visit, and stays with his best friend's family. Although he knows it's against the "bro code", he keeps thinking about Ava, about how hot she is, about what he wants from her.

As childhood crushes, and immature feelings, change into something more, Ava and Barrett have to make hard decisions. This book puts it all out there. The chemistry between Ava and Barrett is off the charts HOT! The connection that they have, the history that they share, combine to make this book explosive!

I love all words written by Kendall Ryan! Bro Code was a fun and sexy read! The "BRO CODE" is something a man does not want to break. One of the most forbidden rule is - DO NOT date your best friends sister. Do not look at her, do not lust after her, just stay in the friend zone. (Snorts laugh) Yea that did not work out well for our dear Barrett! He was a lost cause when it came to Ava. He could try all he wanted, but she was an addiction that he did not only need, but craved.

Barrett tried to do the slow burn with Ava and she was not having it! At first I thought that Barrett was the one that was going to be in control and Ava flipped the switch. She went after what she wanted. Oh boy! Once you think Barrett was going to end everything, he comes back for more and more. I loved his second family. The ending will throw a curve ball to you and make you wonder what was Barrett's true attention.

I love love love everything that Bro Code will bring you. You get the sexy times, the sassy, the emotional bonding, and then there is the drama! Kendall does it again by bringing us a truly amazing book!

Bro Code is a classic girl is in love with the brother’s best friend, however, this story is so emotional and the chemistry is off the charts. I adored Ava so much. She is fiesty and is a fighter for what she believes in and her family. She wants nothing more than to keep her father’s legacy alive regardless of her brother and other badgering her to sell the family’s factory. Enter Barrett. Ava’s brother’s best friend and now a lawyer. I really felt for Barrett as his home life growing up wasn’t amazing so he was latched on to Ava’s family. But the first rule is never go after the best friend’s sister. Apparently their chemistry didn’t get the memo! I absolutely adored how they played off of each other. Then when things came to a head, the pain and the choices that they both had to make. In the long run, I loved what Barrett did. Bro Code aside, things did work out in the long run. I loved the build up as well as the back story. I would highly recommend this book to any Kendall Ryan reader and anyone who loves a great romance!

Steamy, forbidden and oh so sexy! Kendall Ryan's latest is a super fun read! Ava and Barrett are both great characters with a lot of chemistry and watching them try to fight their feelings for each other is quite entertaining.

Every guy knows the score ... the bro code ... never get with your friend's ex, and by no means EVER look at his sister! Attorney Barrett Wilson practically grew up at his best friend Nick's house and was treated more like family in that household than he ever was at his own home. That's why he's always turned his head and ignored his feelings ... but being back in town for a long weekend and in close proximity again makes resisting the pull being around her has on him next to impossible!

Ava Saunders crushed on Barrett hard when she was a teenager, but he never gave any indication that she was anything other than his BFF's bratty little sister ... until now! High school love types of stories are always so sweet.

Eva loved Barrett since she could remember; he had always been this unattainable dream she had and now after all these years he was in touching distance.

Barrett always wanted her, even when she was young and awkward, there was just something special about her. And now she was all grown up, sexy, beautiful and super smart like she had always been.

But he had a bro code to follow and he would do everything in his power to avoid breaking it.

Eva had other plans, she had seen the whole package and she wanted him. Bro code or not she was gonna get her fantasy fulfilled.

But like we all know life always has other plans and a one night thing might be the best thing that ever happened to them.

Bro Code states you do not date/go after the best friends sister. But..... I think Bro Codes are meant to be broken when the two so desperately want each other.

The chemistry between Ava and Barrett is off the charts and Ava does not let Barrett just walk away.

However, Barrett has the power to crush Ava. Barrett is a high profile attorney in Chicago and Ava just returned home to run her fathers failing factory. Barrett can crush Ava with a case he has or walk away from his job. The question is, what will he do?

Will Barrett protect Ava? Or crush her? How will Ava’s brother react to their relationship? Or will there be a relationship? Most of all, will Ava and Barrett have their happy ever after?

Sisters are supposed to be off limit. But of course that can only make the appeal that much better. I know for me I like to read books where there is a bit of a ‘forbidden’ love aspect to it. Barrett is Ava’s brothers best friend. She can’t help but want him.

And who can blame her?

Barrett is everything that someone can want in a man. Plus he knows what he is doing (wink wink). It’s no surprise when he finds himself in a situation between his duty as a friend and what his body is telling him. And we get to go on the passionate, emotional roller coaster ride with him.

Of course this story has all the love scenes that you can expect from Ryan’s books. She is able to bring the raw passion of forbidden love to the tale without going over the top. While there are some scenes that are definitely going to be making you blush, it’s not the whole story.

Like with some other books, I would have liked to have seen more background scenes (like of them growing up) to get a sense of where that passion really came from. We get some scenes but I would have like more.

Talk about being between a rock and a hard place. Barrett is I love with his best friend’s sister but he knows he needs to stay away to honor the code between men. Truly, I find that frustrating if someone is the love of your life, it shouldn’t matter about any code. But I appreciated Barrett’s loyalty as he tries to maintain his distance from Ava. Ava has lusted after her brother’s best friend for years. They haven’t seen each other but when they are reunited for a retirement party of Ava’s dad, well, the chemistry is electric and they both struggle, Barrett to uphold the code and Ava trying to get Barrett to break it. Ava is also faced with the challenge of running her father’s factory, a business that is faltering while Barrett is working hard to become partner at his law firm. Will the code win? Will life push them in different directions? I enjoyed the struggle for Barrett, Ava does a great job pushing all his buttons. When the drama ramped up, I was worried as I devoured every moment to see what would happen. I voluntarily read an ARC of this book and this is my honest review.

Another awesome Kendall Ryan book! I love all her stuff, but I always get so excited when she releases something new because I know I will have a guaranteed good read, and that it will most likely be my new favorite. And to make it even more exciting, this is a brother's-best-friend book - I love those!! There's just something about that sort of forbidden love that gets me every time. And this is a perfect example. Ava and Barrett could not only mess up relationships with their friends and family, but their livelihoods are at stake.

And that's why I loved this so much. It was just a fun, quick, perfect read for the warm weather we've been experiencing. It's light, an easy read, but still with enough drama and conflict that I was hooked and had to keep going. Kendall Ryan's books are my go-to for when I'm having a rough day and just need to escape, and Bro Code is no exception. Ava and Barrett are fun, and perfect for each other. I love their witty banter, and especially their connection - it was the perfect romance!

Sick of his old player life style, all he seems to do is work, work, work so when his best friend Nick invites him back home for a family party Barrett jumps at the chance to catch up with the people who were like family to him growing up.

Ava is Nicks younger sister and she’s always had a crush on her brothers best friend. With Barrett living in Chicago it’s been a while since they last saw each other and it’s soon clear Ava’s crush hasn’t gone away.

I really enjoyed this book. It’s sexy and sweet, full of chemistry and the characters are great. I loved Ava and Barrett although every time he said bro code I wanted to slap some sense into him. With little drama apart from the whole hiding what’s happening between them from Nick, this is a really enjoyable, easy read book.

Meanwhile Ava has crushed majorly on B but never knew he was attracted to her. Until he is in town for her father's retirement party and she sees him naked and then ends up getting sick with him. But the Bro code is still a big hinderance for the two.
B is also a high powered lawyer and Ava is about to start a new job taking over for her dad, so it is not the right time for these two to get together. But the heart and attraction don't care it wants what it wants.

I really enjoyed this story. I think Ava forgave B a little too easily but despite that I really enjoyed this story. It is well written and I loved B and A together and they have some really fun and hot times together.

Another super fun and flirty read by Kendall Ryan. Always at the top of my one-click list, Kendall never disappoints with romantic comedies full of heart. Bro Code is light hearted, packed with heat and plenty of steamy sexy times!

A feast for the eyes, Barrett and Ava have sparkling wit and dynamite chemistry from the start. The Bro Code is never a match for some confident feminine wiles. Ava is strength and beauty in one creative little package. I love her tenacity and her will to never give up. Barrett, on the other hand, lives the straight and arrow. While I thought he would be a bit tight laced, he is soooo funny, sweet and SEXY!!!! The Bro Code never stood a chance!

While I missed more interaction with Barrett and best friend Nick, Bro Code is classic Kendall Ryan. Wit, humor, passion, and beautifully developed characters that steal your heart! This one is a MUST READ, get it on your TBR!

I have been reading Kendall Ryan for awhile now. She used to have the perfect short stories to read in between series or if you needed just a quick read. However, she has been going more in depth with with her stories and I have been thoroughly impressed each time.

With that being said, Bro Code, is hands down my favorite and will be hard for the author to top this one. I loved the family dynamic and the realness between the characters.

I loved that the brother and sister relationship was so strong and yet real at the same time and even though the parents had their moments, the children didn't let it slide about what kind of parents they were.

And the friendships were solid and obvious throughout the book.

Overall a fantastic story that I absolutely fell in love with and will forever hold as the top level for Kendall Ryan and the rest of her books!

Kendall Ryan reads keep getting better and better to me. Her newest, Bro Code, finds our newest book boyfriend Barrett about to break one of the Bro Commandments - don’t fall for your best friends sister. But with chemistry that these two can’t (and don’t want to) fight, sometimes you have to say screw it. Or her, I guess lol

New book best friend Ava has always had a thing for Barrett but now that they’re older and thrown together under the same roof, denying each other is impossible. With sexual tension to make you weak in the knees and laugh out loud banter, this book was everything I’ve come to love from Kendall! It’s not over the top sex, it’s got great character build, secondary characters that flow seamless with the story and no over the top angst.

A truly enjoyable friends-to-lovers delivery from Kendall Ryan!

Holy sexual tension batman! I adored this story! I am a sucker for brother's best friend and this story did not disappoint!

"Wanting her is the equivalent of running with scissors. In a word, she's dangerous."

Barrett has a had a crush on Ava since high school, but being older and Nick's best friend, not to mention a member of the Saunders family, he never acted on those feelings.

Ava's high school crush is sleeping in the next room and sleep is the last thing on her mind. "Because everything inside of me is telling me to mount Barrett like a stallion and ride the ever-loving daylights out of him."

But they can't do that - it violates the Bro Code! This story was a great mix of sexual tension, steaminess, and love. It was funny, emotional, and I couldn't get enough. I certainly hope we get to see Nick's story at some point too! (4 stars)

Bro Code is an enchanting, passionate read that mixes the the hardworking, caring Ava who’s determined to not only keep the family business up and running but her hands off the man of her dreams, and the chivalrous, delectable Barrett who may finally take the risk and act on his feelings for his best friend’s sister.

The writing is effortless and fluid. The supporting characters are fun-loving and engaging. And the plot sweeps you away into a push-pull storyline filled with tantalizing mishaps, witty banter, shameless flirting, red-hot chemistry, family, friendship, light drama, romance, and love.

I’m not sure there’s a Kendall Ryan book out there that isn’t well written with the perfect mix of heart, humour, and heat and Bro Code is no exception. I loved the story, I loved the characters, I loved the swoon-worthy happy-ever-after ending, and I especially loved the cover!

Bro Code was a good read, as expected from Kendall Ryan. I got caught up in the story from the start and couldn't put it down. Apart from loving the story there was a great mix of chemistry, sexual frustration and hot steamy bits.

I live a strong female MC and Ava gave me that. She is an independent business woman who has moved back to her home town to take over her father's factory. With a retirement party planned, Ava's brother's best friend is also in town and after a plumbing disaster in his hotel he is stay in the bedroom next to her, in her family's home. Barratt was Ava's teenage crush, but he is also out of bounds due to Bro Code.

Ava's ownership of the factory is going down hill fast, when all looks lost will Barratt be able to save the day.

One of my absolute favorite tropes (best friend's little sister) in true Kendall Ryan fashion! Bro Code is a fun, quick read that was perfect for my Saturday of lazing around wanting an escape. Ava and Barrett are two characters that I fell in LOVE with! They're confident, and quippy with their banter, and good heavens, these two could ignite a fire with no match. They're combustible.

But along with the sexiness and fun, comes a more serious tone of the book when Barrett and Ava find themselves on opposing sides that could threaten anything that had built between them. Rest assured Kendall Ryan gives a satisfying story for these two terrific characters. I high enjoyed the entire read, and I would absolutely recommend it!

Bro Code is my favorite Kendall Ryan book so far. I just loved it! Bro Code was a fun easy read with some great twists. Barrett is Nick's best friend and has liked his sister Ava for a long time. But considers her off limits.

Bro Code was just an easy read and I loved the family interaction. It added to the story and I hope we get Nick's story soon. Ava has had a crush on Barrett since she was a teenager and seeing him again brings everything back. Barrett fights the attraction for awhile because of his friendship with Nick. I loved the interaction with Ava and her mom and Nick and Barrett both added some great humor. I didn't expect the twists at the end with Ava and Barrett and loved how the author twisted things at the end.
I just wish the epilogue was longer! Please one click this fun steamy read.

It probably helps that brother's best friend/best friend's sister is a favorite trope of mine, but even if that doesn't play a part, this book is fun.

It's just the right mix of sexy and flirty and angsty.

The sex is on point. The feelings are all there. The best friend/brother, depending on the POV, is just the right amount of sexy, totally clueless my sister has been in love with my best friend for ages clueless. And the parents, the factory, the factory workers are all that little something extra that make me love this book even more.

**I listened to the audio of this. I'm a hooker for Jacob Morgan so it comes as no surprise that I enjoyed every second of this audio. And Ava Erickson? She's fantastic. The perfect narrating duo.
