That book was such a waste of money, she described the girl in the book as a boring person, and let me tell you: she was. The whole book was so boring, the characters were shallow, no dialogues, I couldn't even finish the book.

Such an awesome read. This was a highly enjoyable romantic comedy about two strangers who had an interesting and unorthodox introduction, and things only got more entertaining from there.

After a bad break up, Makayla has decided to make some major changes in her life and reinvent herself. Part of that process involves moving from New York to sunny California to live with her best friend. On the plane there she meets the oh so tempting Camden Waters. The two have an intense chemistry and before they know it, they are getting hot and heavy in the lavatory trying to gain membership into the mile high club. The two get busted, things get awkward, but at least they get to part ways and never see each other again. That is until they find out they're next door neighbors. Since the chemistry didn't go away just because things got weird, and they can't stop thinking about each other, Makayla and Cam decided to give a shot at being more than just friends and neighbors. But they are both also trying to sort out their lives and deal with hang ups from their past all the while trying to figure out if they can possibly have a future together.

Cam was this funny but caring, seemingly adrift but highly intelligent womanizer. From the first scenes with him, you wonder what kind of a guy he really is. But you instantly know there is a story behind him that you want to know more about. And to know him is to love him. He's had recent heartache from more than one front and knows he needs to get his life sorted out but doesn't quite know how yet. Meeting Makayla started out as something fun that quickly moved into something more, even if it wasn't what either of them had been looking for. Makayla on the other hand has a personality that doesn't always make it easy for people to warm up to her. She knows this about herself and deals with it. But some recent events in her life that lead her to making the move to California have forced her to reevaluate her outlook on things. Her great sense of humor and quick temper make for some great moments in the story.

This was one of those stories that give a great introduction, and then every time you start to think you might be ready to stop at the end of the chapter to take a break, you end up reading one more. And one more. Makayla and Camden were great characters with heart and they instantly draw you in. Their friends/roommates were the kind of secondary characters that have you crossing your fingers for a follow up book starring them. There were all the necessary elements for a perfect romantic comedy. The funny, the love, the steam, some emotional moments and best of all, characters that you absolutely love. This is one of those books I absolutely have to recommend.

Kim Karr dishes up a wonderful balance of humor and steam in this fun romantic comedy.

Cam and Makayla are each on a quest to re-discover themselves as they start new lives in Laguna Beach, California. Determined to shed her uptight image, Makayla sets out to complete every item on her free-spirit check list—most of which happen to be sexual in nature. When she meets Cam on a cross-country flight it’s the perfect opportunity to cross “Join the Mile High Club” off her list. Unfortunately, things don’t go as smoothly as planned. It’s just the start of their crazy journey towards falling in love.

The majority of the book is quite entertaining, but I began to lose interest in the last quarter. There are too many missed opportunities to develop the story more. Cam’s rocky relationship with his dad is under-explored. Makayla’s to-do list is frankly rather tame and too quickly accomplished. Everything is just too smooth and easy, including Makayla’s new career and her affair with Cam.

I did enjoy the flirty chemistry between Cam and Makayla, and both characters are charming. My favorite parts are their naughty little book club exchanges. Kim Karr even includes a picture of the cover for the make-believe erotica novel they read.

No Pants Required may be light on substance, but it’s sexy and amusing. It’s perfect for a quick beach read. This is the first book I’ve read by Kim Karr, but it won’t be my last.

** ARC received in exchange for an honest review.

What happens when you decide you don’t like your life the way it is and want to find your self?? To get that answer you need to read No Pants Required by Kim Karr.

This is a standalone novel with a romantic comedy feel to it. I thought this book was excellent. It is a fun, sexy and entertaining beach read. Perfect for a lazy summer day. This book will make you laugh, swoon, melt your panties and even have a little heartbreak. But over all this is a book that will leave you smiling in the end.

No Pants Required is my first Kim Karr novel and I have to say it won’t be my last. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The pace and flow of the story was great. I liked the pace she took Makayla and Camden on. It was fun watching these two open up to each other and learn to open their hearts to love again. This book was a fairly quick read because you can’t help but get lost in the pages and lives of Makayla and Camden.

Makayla and Camden have kind of a rollercoaster ride for their relationship. They met under strange circumstances and then come to find out they have a common connection. I loved their banter!! It was fun to see who was going to break first. Even though this was a light hearted type read, there were also some deeper emotions involved in this story. My heart broke for Camden when his past is revealed. I thought these characters were very well developed and was able to connect with them like I was a part of their world.

I really liked Brooklyn and Maggie also. They are the Best friends and roommates of Camden and Makayla. I actually kind of hope they get their own book, because I think they would make a great couple. I’m interested to see where they could go.

I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who is looking for a light, fun, and entertaining summer read. This book will have you laughing and leave you with a smile on your face.

Makayla Alexander is leaving New York for Laguna Beach, California to start a new life. Her best friend Maggie not only gives her a place to stay and inspiration, but a list of ten things to jump start it.

Cam Waters has had a few recent set backs. He is glad to be out of the stuffiness of New York and family drama, and back to California. Cam is angry and bitter over painful events in his life and is now coasting as a life guard in Cali. He's charming, funny, flirty, and sexy.

Makayla has been pushed to believe she is uptight and boring. She is a Type A personality, organized, and focused. She's trying to start fresh, find herself, and some adventure. She's a good girl trying to be a little bad and finding her sassy side.

An interesting first observation, a plane ride, and a surprising California connection keep bringing them back together. They flirt, spar, share misadventures and mortification, and have some serious sexual tension between them. They have good chemistry, but also a bit of awkwardness and tendency to get into challenging situations. They are two people trying to find themselves and get their lives together, so they need to proceed with caution. They find each other when least expected, but are not quite sure what to do about it.

I enjoyed their push and pull, confusion, attraction, vulnerability, and missteps. They were both hot messes, lost, and afraid to bringing someone else into their drama. But they had scorching hot chemistry, were compatible, and had a flirty, witty, rapport.

They allow each other to be free, fun, and be themselves. Makayla begins to reinvent herself and starts finding her way. But Cam also has some issues to work out on his own and to figure out where his life is going.

Sometimes there are obstacles you don't even realize are there and past insecurities can cloud your vision. Can Cam and Makayla get it together and both manage to chase their dreams while holding onto each other?

I enjoyed the relaxed Lauguna Beach, Cali vibe in contrast to the intensity of New York. The side characters especially her bestie Maggie and his room mate Brooklyn were interesting and fun. I also liked Cam's sister, Amelia. I have already put some couples together in my mind and look forward to more in this series.

I loved that this book was light, funny, sexy, and romantic with just enough emotional edge. I was happy to get both points of view and I got sucked in really easily. The characters were likable, but had flaws and depth. They were a bit awkward and confused, but also fun and feisty. Their banter was infectious and their chemistry was intense. It was fairly low on angst, but had enough drama and complications in their back stories to make it interesting. This was quirky, engaging, humorous start to a new series. I can't wait for Brooklyn! I have already fallen for this half-funny, half-serious reality show has-been and aspiring writer.

Makayla is looking for a fresh start and is moving to California to live with her best friend Maggie. She is ready for change and is armed with a list of experiences she wants to cross off. In fact, she manages to cross a couple off on her flight there. The gorgeous guy sitting beside and a few glasses of wine give her some long hidden courage.

'With my eyes closed once again, I press my forehead against the mirrror. This is it - I'm about to **** a stranger. I'm about to join the Mile High Club. And I love every minute of it.' - Makayla

Needless to say she enjoyed her flight and takes comfort in the fact that she will never this guy again. Therefore, she is shocked to discover that the guy she met on the plane is her new next door neighbour. Her plan to kiss and forget the mystery man has been blown apart by this revelation so she decides to suck it up and just roll with it. It is summer and she is at the beach, she intends to have some fun.

Camden can't believe his eyes when he realises that the girl who he connected with on that flight home is in fact Maggie's best friend. There is no way he isn't going to try and finish what they started on that flight.

'So here's how this is going to go. First, I'm going to taste your sweet ***** and eat you like you are my last meal, and then I'm going to **** you like you've never been ******.' - Camden

There is just something there between that neither of them can deny. An insanely intense chemistry that they seem to be helpless to resist. And why would they anyway, they are young and gorgeous, why not **** each other's brain's out. Besides, what's wrong with a harmless 'friends with benefits' summer fling?

Here's the thing with a little fling. Feelings always manage to worm their way in and before long deep emotions seep in between those ruffled up bed sheets. Makayla has had relationship issues in the past and she seems to be projecting them onto Camden, who is nothing like any other guy she has dated before. In fact, Camden is the sweetest guy, sure he has some personal issues that he needs to work through and probably isn't that great at communicating that with her but I couldn't help but feel she was just self sabotaging because she didn't think she was worthy of such a great guy.

Anyhoo, here is one of the most important facts about this story, there is lots of fabulous, delicious, dirty, hot, magnificent sex. This couple really know how to make a reader get all hot and flustered!

This is a big call from me but I have been in love with River ever since I first read Connected, three years ago and Camden really made me question my loyalty to River so that says a lot about Camden and his hotness level! A really fun read, great to enjoy on your summer break!

Review:Wooh! What a perfect read!Kim Karr has done it again by creating another amazing book.Makayla is a jewelry designer, who is trying to figure out the next phase of her life after quitting her job and breaking off her engagement(her fiance was cheating on her). Before moving to Cali, where she will be staying with her best friend, she goes out for a fun night with her co-workers, where she has a voyeuristic experience ;)

Her BFF Maggie has also given her a list of tasks to complete, in order to become the carefree Makayla that she intends to be.One task is to join the mile high club!Once on the flight, she meets her seatmate Cam who she is instantly attracted to.When they try to go all the way on the plane, they are discovered by the air hostess(*embarrassed for Makayla*).But, this happens after she finds out that he is the guy she saw with the girl in the club the other night.

It doesn't stop there. She later finds out from Maggie that Cam is a lifeguard and their new neighbour!Lol!

Cam has had a rough year.He is also trying to figure out his place in the world. Not only did he lose his brother, but he was cheated on by his girlfriend and he has lost all respect for his father. He quit his job and is working on the beach as a lifeguard. He is immediately drawn to Makayla who has the ability to be bold and vulnerable at the same time.As each of them try to move on to the next portion of their lives, they slowly begin to fall for each other. But, will it last or be just a summer fling?

I loved this book!Kim Karr has created amazing characters.Makayla and Cam have detailed pasts which have shaped them into the people they are now.The parts where they read Summer's Menage!OMG!*fans self*.I'm glad this didn't have much drama. Each character stayed true to themselves and I loved how they slowly figured out their future together.

So if you're looking for a perfect summer read with minimum angst, amazing steam and well developed characters with a great storyline, read this one!Trust me you'll not regret it!!:D

No Pants Required is Kim Karr’s debut novel into the romantic comedy genre. Being one of my go to authors there is never any hesitation when adding her books to my forever growing ”To-Be-Read” list. Knowing this one would be different from Karr’s other books, the anticipation was already set at an all time high. Coming out right in the middle of summer with a gorgeous and refreshing cover, No Pants Required is full of sun, sand, sex and swoon. A fun, light and heartwarming read, No Pants Required is just another way for Kim Karr’s talents to shine throughout the indie world.

No Pants Required is an explosion of chemistry, passion and heat. With Makayla Anderson determined to rid herself of any “uptight bitch” like behavior she sets out on a mission to be carefree and spontaneous. With a list of things she is determined to achieve, a move from New York to California seems like the best way to start.

Camden Waters lives in the moment. Relaxed, cheerful and impulsive his love for the beach, booty and beer has him feeling on top of the world. Not one to usually give his future any second thought, meeting Makayla Anderson has his predictable world shifting on its axis.

Undoubtedly having readers fall in love with the sexy, sweet talker that is Camden Waters; No Pants Required ticks off all your book boyfriend boxes. As Makayla and Camden coincidentally find themselves woven into each other’s lives, their attraction evolves into a sensually fuelled summer romance. With hilarious banter and a physical connection unlike any other, Kim Karr forgoes her traditional writing routes and successfully swaps Instalove for Instalust. No Pants Required, flawlessly balances complex storylines with an easy going, angst free and heartfelt road to a happy ever after.

Main characters: Makayla and Cam
Supporting characters: Maggie-Makayla's friend in California and Brooklyn-Cam's roommate and friend in California

Makayla wanted a fresh start in life so she moved in with Maggie in Laguna Beach, California. The night before she left New York she celebrated with her friends and witnessed Cam getting some action in a room. Ironically, Cam was heading back to California the same day. Cam was a lifeguard and was neighbors with Maggie.

In between the non sexual acts these two characters delivered witty dialogue and plenty of flirtatious comments. When performing the act there was dirty talk and more witty dialogue.
Kim created a smart, funny, and witty story. Sure this story was nothing like the others but that's the beauty of it. Kim was able to think outside the box and create a story that was different showing she has talent.
Neither character was looking to get involved in a serious relationship. Both only entertained the idea of hooking up for a good time but when one sexual encounter became electric neither could ignore the charge.
Maggie created a list of inspiration for Makayla to get her motivated towards her goal of branching out. The agenda, to find Makayla in a new improved version.
The banter was so good I had difficulty putting the book down. I wanted to the end but realized the fun would be over and I kind of wanted to savor the fun. I have not read anything this fun in awhile.

The story was naughty with a side order of saucy.

This book from Kim Karr is the perfect summer read. Fast paced. Steamy. Funny. And a depth I wasn't expecting from a book entitled No Pants Required. I was into the story from the first page and couldn't wait to see if Makayla would be able to find herself again after the blow her heart took from her jerk of an ex.

I loved that Makayla was chasing her happiness- even if it meant leaving the life she knew and was safe living. It didn't take her long to start turning a new leaf either, she didn't even make it to her new destination before she was acting like a whole new Makayla. It helped that she had a sexy seat mate who kept her as entertained as he did turned on. The book they shared certainly helped get them both turned on. Cam stole the show with his innuendo and playfulness. But when she learned just who he was, it was game over. Until fate threw he hand in the mix and Cam ends up being her neighbor.

It was a recipe for either disaster or some deliciously sinful summer nights. She was the organized girl with a plan and he was the guy with the ideas but no real sense of direction. I loved how much they grew individually throughout the course of the book. And how as they came into their own things between them only became more meaningful. Full of laughter, steam, friendship and shenanigans, Cam and Makayla's journey to who they want to be was fun to be a part of. Kim Karr delivered a book that kept me interested and yearning for more when all was said and done.

No Pants Required by Kim Karr was freaking awesome. I felt this one was a little different from Kim's other books and it soon became my favorite! I loved every minute of this laugh out loud, keeping me up late into the night book. I thought Cam and Makayla were perfect together. I loved the idea of this story and had been waiting for this one as soon as I read the blurb and it didn't disappoint. It's one of those books that make you smile long after you've finished reading, wishing you hadn't read it so quickly.

The story picks up with Makayla in a club witnessing something she shouldn't. Something that it so unlike her to be doing. I'm not going to tell you, you have to read it yourself. Anyway she only sees a tattoo of a B and never the guys face. Later on a flight to a new city to start a new life with a list of “To Dos. A list her BF wants her to complete in a month. The list are things That uptight Makayla would never do. Like join The Mile High Club but when she meets a hot stranger that has her wanting to throw caution in the wind. What will she do and what will change when they find out who each other really are.

No Pants Required is clearly my favorite from Kim Karr and I can't wait to see what she writes next. It has moments that you will want to cringe and then swoon. Miss the perfect summer read. 1-click this must read. I was given an ARC for my honest opinion.

When your whole established life goes to h*ll you need to do something, to change. Makayla takes the biggest risk of her life when she quits her job in NY and flies the country to LA, where a friend of hers is more than happy to receive her. Said friend made a list for her, a list to help her loose herself a bit. Plenty of s*x related stuff are included, joining de Mile High Club is one of those ? So when your sit partner is a gorgeous man who looks at you as if wanting to eat you and reads your er*tica novel out loud you just take the chance and go for it! But having s*x on a plane isn't always easy and less more when you realize you actually know this person from before... Well, it doesn't matter because you're now off the plane and starting a new life. You won't be seeing him again, won't you?

"Moving forward is the only way I know... without regret"

This is the story of one lost girl and one lost boy, with broken hearths from their pasts, a hot summer and loads of expectations. Will they find each other? And most importantly, will they find their selves? Can fun and real life go together?

I enjoyed reading NPR very much! The author mixes fun with self discovering in a way that makes you want to keep reading until you finish it! You won't be able to stop!

'"Go to h*ll."
Baby I'm already there.'

Totally recommend it! Can't wait for her next release!

‘No Pants Required’ is full of quirky humor, flirty, and sexy moments. It is a quick read which I finished in one sitting. If you are looking for quick read, which will leave you with a smile on your face, you should definitely read ‘No Pants Required’. I read all the books written by Kim Karr and this is the first one that doesn’t have suspense, mystery or crime in it. I will try my best to write a review, where I don’t want to give away too much and ruin the story for you :)

Makayla Alexander is a talented jewelry designer, who lives in New York. She is quirky, loves order and rules and she has a list for everything. After Makayla breaks up with her fiancé, she decides that she needs a new start and loosen up her uptight personality, her best friend Maggie invites her to live with her in Laguna Beach and she accepts her offer. Makayla and Maggie grew up together and Maggie knows how much Makayla loves to-do-lists and she will not give up until she checks everything in a list so in order to help her to loosen up, Maggie sends her a list of 10 things to do in a month which contains joining the Mile High Club, taking a nude selfie, sex with a stranger, read an erotic novel in a public place, etc. Makayla being Makayla, she agrees to check mark everything in Maggie’s list.

Camden (aka Cam) Waters is super cool and deliciously sexy who has a dirty dirty mouth. Six months ago after going through a hard time, and refuses to work for the family company, he decides that he needs a change in his life and moves to Laguna Beach for a fresh start. He moves in with his best friend Keen’s half-brother Brooklyn and starts working as a lifeguard.

On their journey to finding themselves, they end up as seatmates on a flight, to their new lives, to Laguna Beach. First thing they do is start their own book club :) You remember Makayla’s to-do-list right, so she purchase an erotic novel to start reading on the flight and somehow that ends up in Cam’s hands :) Cam being Cam thinks that it is a good idea to start reading it to Makayla, which ends them getting all, hot and bothered. The chemistry between the two is instant and off the charts. So after getting all hot and bothered by the book, why not giving a shot at joining the Mile High Club. For Makayla it is two check marks with one stone and for Cam why not enjoying the long flight with a gorgeous brunette :) What they couldn’t foresee is, it is not an easy task when there is a tiny lavatory and turbulence. After attempting to join the Mile High Club and getting caught by the flight attendant, the only thing that can ease Makayla’s mind is that she is never going to see Cam again. However, fate has other plans for them. After their plane lands Makayla sees Cam talking to Maggie and at first she thinks he is hitting on her but later figures out that her sinfully sexy seatmate is her new next-door neighbor.

Makayla and Cam are both have their scars from their previous relationships, which makes it harder to give a shot to something new. Will they both give in to their desire and see where this thing between them can go? Is it possible for Makayla to find someone else who gets her the way Cam does? Or is it possible for Cam to find someone who will bring out the best in him like Makayla does? That is for you to find out… If you are looking for a quick read that is fun, flirty, and sexy, then you should definitely read ‘No Pants Required’.

Would I recommend this book: Yes.
Would I re-read this book: Already did :)
Would I read future books by this author: Yes.

If you are looking for an amazing summer/beach read, this is the book!!! It is funny, sweet and OH SO HOT!!! There is minimal angst so its perfect light hearted book to get you though a summer's night!

I really enjoyed the storyline! Cam and Maggie are two people who needed to find each other so they could eventually find themselves. Both of them came out of bad relationships and tarnished their way of thinking but were able to move forward with each other. I loved Maggie's list she had to go through. That was a lot of fun to read and hilarious!!! Cam is super swoonworthy! Not only is he sweet but also a dirty talker!!! The complete package! All the secondary characters were wonderful and I wouldn't mind reading a book about them too!

I highly recommend this book if you are looking for a hilarious but HOT book to read! I thought the story was well written and had a good pace to the story. I was always interested on what was going to happen next. READ THIS BOOK!

I loved this book the moment I started it knowing this authors work I knew I would.

I got to know the characters a little from the books that proceeded this one yep you guessed it I read them the wrong way round.... Not that it really mattered they all can be read as a stand alone I just think in hind sight it would have been better to have read this one first.

Cam is fed up with his life and his family loyalties so he decides to move away from it all and become a lifeguard in Orange County.
Makayla is feeling like giving up life in New York nothing seems to be going right for her a failed relationship and no job prospects decides to take up her best friend Maggie's offer to move to Laguna Beach and sort her life out.
A chance meeting on the plane is where the Sparks fly and omg do they this is such a funny romantic book it had me belly laughing at her to do list. I can honestly say I connected with the characters straight away the author knew how to pull you in with the comedy but also had you tugging at your heart strings at their background especially Cams.
Both coming out of failed relationships and just looking for a bit of fun can these two keep it to that or will love finally show through? Well that would be telling you will just have to read it for yourself to find out.

Camden and Makayla were so much fun! This book is definitely a case where you can believe every word of the blurb as it ranged from side splitting laughter to emotional turbulence.

When I first saw the cover for this book, my mind immediately conjured up John Cusack in the movie One Crazy Summer. Evan, the cover model, looks a bit like him but the story has some of the same vibes too. As the story kicks off, both Cam and Makayla are in the process of leaving New York in the rear view mirror for different reasons. They briefly cross paths in a club the night before their flight, but neither one realizes exactly how small their world is just yet.

Makayla is moving to CA to live with her best friend Maggie after a horrible relationship breakup that has left her self esteem shaken. She used to be able to have fun and let loose, but no matter what, she has to have a plan and flying by the seat of her pants is a foreign concept to her. Being called an uptight insert-unpleasant-term-here by the man who is leaving you over it is enough to rattle anyone though.

Maggie decides to encourage her to live a little and force her out of her comfort zone by giving Makayla a list of 10 tasks to complete in the next month. 1st up: join the Mile High Club. She can probably also knock off another item for having sex with a stranger with this one, and when Cam sits down beside her on the plane, her normal fear of flying tales a backseat to enjoying the hotness sitting next to her. Cue awkward moments and innuendo that had me laughing out loud! By the time they land, Makayla has reached a new level of mortification and is just thankful she will never have to see Cam again. Or not...

Cam's job as a lifeguard is a huge break from his father's expectation that he become the next wolf of Wall Street. He has his own painful memories of life in New York that fall into his "never to be discussed" bucket and sitting on a beach in Cali is the most fun job he could have found to escape. He just can't seem to shut off the instinct to dissect and evaluate business problems though, and eventually he will need to decide what path his future will take. For now, sunshine and beautiful women are a welcome distraction. He can't get the girl from the plane out of his mind despite her disappearing act when she ran off the aircraft. When he finds her again in the most unexpected place, he wonders briefly if he is hallucinating before he thanks whoever is looking out for him for crossing paths with her again.

Cam and Makayla have a very strong pull and attraction to each other that is clear from their very first interaction. She is as high strung as he is laid back, and they can certainly have some heated arguments when their opposite personalities repel rather than complement each other. There are plenty of sweet, hot and downright amusing moments to offset the more emotional ones too - emphasis on the HOT!! They have no shortage of sexual chemistry that burns up the pages.

No Pants Required was a highly enjoyable read covering the emotional spectrum of gut splitting laughter, tears, heartache, self doubt, obsessive worrying, contentment and happiness. I definitely recommend meeting Camden "sex god" Waters sooner rather than later!

Perfect summer romance, steamy, funny and so cute!

About The Plot: After a tough breakup Makayla decides to leave NYC and moves to her best friend in Laguna Beach, California. She wants to find herself again and prove to yourself that she is not uptight b*tch like her ex claims. She says goodbye to her friends from the city at the party. And this is where the story begins and when start the most bizarre situations in which she will find herself this summer.
During her trip after new life and encouragement she decides to loosen up, take advice and complete a list prepared by her friend. One of the points is to join the Mile High Club. Fate would have it the seat next to her on the plane take the handsome, charming men.

Cam also has a difficult time behind him. He moved out of NYC, and is trying to put his life anew. Employed as a lifeguard on the beaches of California and returns there after a short visit in the city. He spends a good time with a girl on the plane. She intrigued him, but before he even plans to ask for her number she escapes from the airport.

But fate has its own plans, and the two will meet again... as neighbors. Is good girl goes on the wrong side or maybe bad boy finds what he so afraid to find? We will certainly have lots of fun before we find out.

Final thoughts: This is the perfect book for summer time. It is funny, light and easy to read with a small dose of angsty but nothing too heavy. Full of humor, full of passion. Just sun, beach, hot lifeguard, a lot of laughs, romantic and smoking hot scenes.

The main heroine is excellent. Cute and a little awkward. Can be a real b*tch but also in the same moment can be a blushing girl. She always finds herself in the most ridiculous situations and it makes that the reading is really a blockbuster. I also adore a charming Cam. He is a very, very bad boy with a dirty mouth. The chemistry between them is off the charts, and their interactions are adorable. It's their wit and easy banter what provide a lot of funny scenes and dialogues. I laughed more than once.

It has sensational opening scenes. Already their first meeting in the air is explosive. One of the coolest things is the Book Club and whisper reading a romance with the relevant parts of the book. You can guess how they ended up while reading erotic menage. Always no less hot and steamy scenes between them, not only in the bed!

Their relationship is growing gradually and emotions arise after some time. You will not find here very complex topics, although there are some secrets that are revealed slowly. It hooked me hard into reading at the beginning, and so it was almost to the end. Perhaps too quickly everything is solved, but it's summer reading, not some hard stuff.

Makayla and Cam make a wonderful couple. You can feel the affection between them. The place where the story happens definitely adds a lot of beautiful atmosphere of the beach, sun and the holidays. It can make you dreamy. It definitely carried me away. There are also funny secondary characters, about who I would gladly read a book.

Light, flirty and sassy. If I'd have recommend the books for someone to the beach it definitely would be this steamy beach romance.

*I received an ARC from Social Butterfly PR in exchange for an honest review*

Thank you so very much Social Butterfly PR for sending me a copy of No Pants Required!! I'm very honored and grateful!! :)

After hearing so many wonderful things about Ms.Karr's work I couldn't help but dive right into this story as soon as it landed on my Kindle! Even though this story has one sexy as sin cover it's what's on the inside that left me a blushing mess. No Pants Required isn't just another romantic comedy but a story about how two people want more out of their lives and how finding themselves along the way isn't always easy to do. It was sexy, hilarious, sweet, frustrating, thought-provoking, and so entertaining!! It's honestly the best summer read of 2016!! I felt as if I went on a mini vacation and discovered things I wanted as well such as a man like Cam reading an erotic novel to me. I mean seriously, a sinfully sexy guy reading to me is officially going on my bucket list. I'm very much a fan of Ms.Karr's and I'm grateful that with this story she reminded me that not only is anything possible in the summertime but anytime. I can't wait to read more of her books! :)

Makayla Alexander was a character who was looking for a fresh start after something occurs that makes her reevaluate her life. New York to California is exactly what she had in mind but her seatmate? Not so much. She was kind and very funny at times. The journey of self discovery made her quite the intriguing heroine in my eyes and I kept cheering her on throughout! Her passion for making jewelry was so cool and how she worked her butt off to make her pieces perfect was admirable. I loved her easy going friendship Maggie. I hoped in the end she'd find out who she wanted to be and take a chance on romance along the way.

Cam Waters was a character who was a lifeguard with a past that just wouldn't leave him be. He was different from most heroes in the sense that he had more of a free spirited side that I'm not use to seeing and it made me love him as a character that much more. His sexiness was effortless and his humor was a constant. He frustrated me at some points. With every turn of the page i wanted to know more about this at times mysterious man that had a heart full of pain. I enjoyed his friendship with Brooklyn. I crossed my fingers that he'd find happiness in more ways than one.

I highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a read that will make you want to move to California and be adventurous. This story is a great example of why we should all conquer those lists of our own because living life to the fullest is the best of fun. I hated that this book had to end and already want to devour it once more to fall in love with these characters all over again. If you haven't already One-Clicked this feel good story I can truthfully say that you are missing out!! Buy it Today!! Also, I wish Summer's Menage was a real book!! 5 Stars all around!! :)

NO PANTS REQUIRED is a sexy, stand alone, erotic romance story line from author Kim Karr focusing on lifeguard Camden ‘Cam’ Waters, and jewelry designer Makayla Alexander.

Told from dual first person points of view (Makayla and Cam) NO PANTS REQUIRED follows the building relationship between Makayla Alexander and Camden Waters. Makayla’s move across country follows the recent break up with a man she once considered the one but catching him with someone else, sent Makayla in the other direction to start a new life in sunny Laguna Beach, California. Enter Camden Waters, a man she meets on the plane almost becoming a member of the ‘mile high club’, then to discover he is her new neighbor and the man who stars in all of her erotic fantasies. But to complicate matters, Makayla has already seen Camden in a compromising position back home-one that she wishes she could erase from her mind. What ensues is the push and pull of attraction as Makayla endeavors to complete a to do list of self discovery including a nude selfie, reading an erotic novel in public, and sex on the beach, taking Camden along for the ride. Makayla needs to loosen up and let her hair down, and to do so, a move to California is in the cards. The $ex scenes are intimate, erotic and provocative. Camden likes to talk dirty both inside and outside of the bedroom.

Camden Waters struggles with demons from the past: a father who betrayed him; an ex who continues to stalk and prowl; and a loss so devastating he blames himself for not seeing the truth. Makayla Alexander is every thing he has ever wanted in a woman but Camden needs to find himself, and he needs to find it alone making for some uncomfortable moments between our leading couple.

We are introduced to Makayla’s best friend and new roommate Maggie May, Camden’s sister Amelia, and Cam’s roommate Brooklyn James. Maggie is a woman who wants to stop serial dating, and Brooklyn is a wanna-be reality star looking for the next big thing. There is a building story between Maggie and Brooklyn.

The world building focuses on letting go and moving forward. Camden Waters is unable to move on with his life until he acknowledges the demons from his past, and is able to accept that he is not responsible for what other people do. Throughout the story line Camden and Makayla read aloud an erotic romance book -Summer’s Menage- that adds to our couple’s already sexual tension and attraction.

NO PANTS REQUIRED has a little bit of everything-fun, romance, $ex, angst, personal demons, and conflict. The premise is enjoyable and heartwarming; the characters are electric, passionate and fun; the romance is moving and seductive. Kim Karr writes entertaining, realistic and encouraging story lines with plenty of sexy on the side.

No Pants Required is a funny, light summer read perfect for the beach! Part of me wishes that I had a BBF like Maggie that would’ve made me a list to follow when I was younger and single.

Both Makayla and Cam are coming out of bad relationships. Makayla has taken hers more personally than Cam has. He’s been busy screwing away his anger. Trying to convince herself that she’s not boring. Mayayla agrees to follow a list of 10 things that her BFF Maggie has created for her; she needs to complete this list in 30 days. Let me say that list looks like a lot of fun!

Can two people looking for fun, who have amazing chemistry not fall in love in? Read No Pants Required to find out!

I have to be honest, I wasn't sure if I was going to finish this one, it was super slow to me until about 45% but I'm glad I finished because I really enjoyed the ending and would love to see this couple again in a later book or perhaps Maggie needs a book!

No Pants Required is a story that every reader will be able to relate to because its focus is on the main characters finding themselves and living life on their terms despite the bulls*** of their past, insecurities of their present, and what ifs of their future.

Makayla Alexander wants to shed her uptight skin, let her hair down, and live a little, but she knows that she can’t do that in New York, so she heads to Laguna Beach with a new outlook on life, a list of things to accomplish, and a fresh start to be the person she wants to be. She’s definitely a work in progress, but she starts on the plane ride to California, attempting to check off one of the items on her list, and even though she doesn’t fully complete the task, it’s a great first step to finding the girl she used to be and having a little fun in the process.

Camden Waters’ life has definitely not turned out like he thought it would, but there’s no way he can go back to how it was because not only was he betrayed by those closest to him, but he lost everything he thought was important because it was all destroyed by other people’s actions. Now he finds himself on the west coast, spending his time getting a tan as a life guard and getting off with any willing woman.

A plane ride and coincidental living arrangements draw Makayla and Camden to one another and set in motion what could be a much needed connection, but

Both Makayla and Camden need to figure out who they are and what they want in life before they can be something to someone else, so the ups and downs of their relationship make complete sense. Neither of them know exactly what steps they need to take in order to follow their new and improved path and without that certainty, they’ll continue to flounder and struggle until they take back control and follow through in order to achieve their goals.

Makayla and Camden’s story is a great read because it has the right blend of steam, angst, and comedy. Makayla’s a quirky and caring heroine and Cam’s a dirty talking alpha who sees Makayla for the amazing woman that she is. Their path to each other may have been a bit awkward, messy, and dramatic, but it’s also allowed them to see what truly matters in life and have the strength and the hope to reach for their hearts desire.

LOVED it! I connected with the heroine, Makayla, on SO MANY LEVELS! And the hero, Cam, a SEXY lifeguard with a knack for business with demons at every turn....was just scrumptious! Funny, steamy, with just the right amount of angst, makes NO PANTS REQUIRED a yummy summer read!

"So here's how this is going to go. First, I'm going to taste your sweet pussy and eat you like you are my last meal, and then I'm going to **** you like you've never been ****ed."

And that, my friends, is our hero, Camden Waters. Oh ladies there is so much more where that came from. You will fall hard for the gorgeous lifeguard with relationship issues. This is sexy summer read that is all about finding one's self. Makayla wants more, and she needs out of New York stat. Armed with an erotic novel and a list of self-discovery TO DO's from her best friend in California, Makayla begins her journey onboard a plan to Laguna Beach. This is where fate intervenes and screws everything up!

She starts to get friendly and lets loose a bit with her sexy seat mate on the airplane. Sparks fly and Makayla seizes an opportunity to check off an item on her list. Meeting up with the gorgeous stranger in the plane's lavatory was supposed to be sexy, but fate had other plans. Needless to say, joining the Mile High Club was going to have to happen some other time. It didn't matter much to Makayla, because she was never going to see her seat mate again, right? Oh but fate...she really is a ***ch! When she discovers the true identity of the stranger...she finds out that he is none other than her next door neighbor. Oh and it just gets GOOD from there my friends.

Two people who were SO not meant to be...ended up being SO much more...

"You don't love someone and set him free to see if he comes back to you. You hold on tight and never let go."

Kim Karr's steamy new standalone is sure to please all of your senses. HOT sex...DIRTY talk...and more awkward moments that will make you laugh out loud...NO PANTS REQUIRED is a scorching romance, mixed with the perfect amount of funny and sweet. There was no wiping the smile off of my face.

What would make a better beach read than a book set in California, complete with an adorable, dirty-talking lifeguard? No Pants Required hits the spot with its light-hearted humor that’s also heavy on the heat, making it the perfect companion for summer holidays.

After the one-two punch of losing his brother and having a horrible falling out with his father, Camden Waters is drifting through life. He has moved to California to become a lifeguard instead of using his degree to go into the family business. While in New York to attend a memorial service, he unwittingly meets Makayla at a bar.

Makayla is also making changes to her life after being unceremoniously dumped by her fiancé. She quits her job, decides to move to California to live with her best friend, and focuses on reinventing herself—or at least rediscovering who she used to be. While on the flight to California, things heat up between seatmates Makayla and Cam, leading to shenanigans at 35,000 feet. Let’s just say, it doesn’t end well.

I loved the chemistry between Makayla and Cam. They get hot and heavy quickly, while still trying to figure out where their lives are heading. Cam is a complete flirt and a total dirty-talking lover. However, there is a real tenderness between them that I wasn’t expecting, but was a pleasant surprise. Seeing them navigate through the uncertainties was both frustrating and ultimately, heartwarming.

There were a couple of points in the story where it felt like it had ‘multiple personalities’ and didn’t know exactly what it wanted to be. Also, a few of the plot points could have been more developed, especially where Cam and Makayla’s family were concerned. I loved the last quarter of the book, though, and that’s where I connected most with the characters.

Overall, it was a fun and hot read with quirky characters, funny supporting cast, and a sweet story. For my first book by Kim Karr, I’d say that I couldn’t ask for anything more.

Sigh... Another Kim Karr book. I can guarantee when I sit down to read nay of her books I'm a) going to be there a while b) I'm going to freaking love it and c) I'm going to have a book hangover. And sure enough No Pants required induced all of the aforementioned side effects. I will say this is a big lighter read than Ms. Karr's past works, but it's no less brilliant and engaging.

Makayla and Cam had a chance distant encounter, one of them was aware of it and the other wasn't. But in that moment they both had a bit of a revelation. A coming to for what the summer would bring. Makayla walked away never expecting to see the tattooed man-sl*t again and said tattooed man-sl*t was not even aware of Makayla's existence. Fast forward to the plane ride that would change everything and begin a whirlwind summer for them both. What neither of them were expecting was each other. To have anything beyond the summer fling they thought it was going to be. And through the heartaches and thrills the summer would bring they both being to fall. To fall deeper into each other, and to fall deeper into who they should be. Makayla and Cam are both coming of derailments from life. Speed bumps, if you will. And they seems to find solid footing in their hope and dreams with one another. They spark almost a passion in one another in and out of the bedroom.

This book is a terrific beach read, but also so much more than that. In true Kim Karr fashion, it evokes a slew of emotions that will run roughshod over the reader, but in a highly enjoyable way. I truly loved every bit of this sexy, steamy read and would love to see if Maggie and Brookyln ever get a story (or stories, the jury is still out on that one). While it is a lighter and sweeter read than I am used to from Kim Karr it was every bit the literary wonder I've come to know and revel in from her and I highly suggest all readers pick up No Pants Required!

Ummm… no idea what to say about this book.
Well, what to say about it first.
So much happening. So much to say. Gah.

OK firstly, if it is winter wherever you are, maybe don’t read this because this book will definitely make you wish you were on the beach with an ice cold beer to your left and a sweaty lifeguard to your right.

Then again, maybe don’t read this book out in public for all the sympathetic blushing and cringing you’ll do for Makayla’s sake during her first meeting with Cam. Or the second meeting. Or the third meeting.

Maybe don’t read this book if you don’t have air-condition because it will have your face (and other parts) flush for a different reason altogether. The amount of sexual tension flying around in this book is nothing short of toe-curlingly intense.

Also don’t read this book if you don’t want to attract suspicious glances from strangers because you will either be smiling like a fool or laughing out loud at the antics of Cam and his penchant for sexual innuendo. Or at the antics of Makayla’s and Cam’s friends. Or the banter between them. Or Summer’s Menage.

If you don’t have a few hours to set aside you should probably not even start this book. It is an unbelievably easy read to get lost in and so fast-paced that you won’t even notice the time slipping away from you.

Though, read it if you’ve ever wondered about that sexy lifeguard on the beach. Read it if you’ve ever fantasized about giving it all up to go start a new life on the beach. Read it if you’re the awkward girl. Read it if you like music.

But definitely read this book if you like your romance sweet and funny and low on angst. Read it if you like your sexy times playful and steamy. Read it if you want to get lost in a cute coming of age story with plenty of smiles and laughter.

No Pants Required, the title alone appealed to me. I'm a lose-the-pants-and-bra kinda girl when I get home from work. I was hoping it would be light hearted read too. Sometimes I just need a little romance without the angst. I loved right from the beginning that I felt akin to Makayla because of her feelings about participating in karaoke. Not to mention her inability to look away when a couple gets more than a little frisky in a dark corner (takes me back to my first experience in a strip club...good times).

Makayla is a smart, strong willed, ambitious girl. She was pretty confident too until her love life takes a major detour through s***sville. At least she has a best friend (Maggie) to help her recover from heartbreak and reinvent herself. That's where the fun begins. An outrageous to-do list should help Makayla kick-start her new i'm-not-uptight life and the sexy hunk of man flesh that just boarded her flight is the perfect guy to use for the project.

Cam Waters' reasons for leaving New York aren't too different from Makayla's. His way of coping and moving on from his past are a little different though. He hasn't really been moving on but more like stewing in anger with his future placed on pause. It's like fate that he and Makayla come together. They will be the spark that each of them needs to not only recognize who they want to be but to also become their best selves.

There's plenty of heat and chemistry between Cam and Makayla. The dirty talk and banter was really fun. I think part of what I loved most though was Cam's journey overcoming the loss of his brother and finding true love.

No Pants Required by Kim Karr is the perfect summer read!!! Before you begin this book, make sure you have a refreshing cocktail in hand and maybe a small electric fan because this book is off the charts sexy and steamy!! Temperatures will rise so might as well take off those pants. Haha. But in all seriousness, Kim Karr delivers a hot steamy romance about finding yourself, letting loose, having fun and maybe some summer lovin'!! And when you have a sexy dirty talking hero in the mix, of course No Pants Required.

“For what I have in mind, there are no pants required. ”

Makayla Alexander is off to California to let loose and find herself. She is ready for a fresh new start. And so when she meets Camden Waters, things begins to heats up with them. Why not? Two strangers who are both looking for some fun and sunshine. And so begins one hot, sexy, steamy and SIZZLING romance between Camden and Makayla. And I mean lots of steamy moments that will have you blushing and fanning oneself. So does their summer hookup have an expiration date?

Yes, this book is HOT!! Okay, smoking hot!! While there are lots of heavy steamy scenes, Kim Karr still incorporates an emotional story line allowing readers to see that both Camden and Makayla are both flawed individuals who are in search of finding themselves. Finding what makes them happy. And so maybe a dirty-talking hero and an reserved New Yorker can have the summer of a lifetime and a love that doesn’t set.

No Pants Required is one of those books that will have you laughing from the beginning. I love Makayla Alexander and her total awkwardness, possibly because I can totally see myself being like her. If it is possible to end up in an uncomfortable situation, she will find it, by accident, of course. Armed with her luggage, a playlist and a "bucket list" to find herself, she is leaving NYC behind for sunny California.

Cam Waters at first glance appears to be a cocky, arrogant, SOB; however, once I started reading more, especially from his POV, the more I fell in love with him. He is funny, smart and sexy. After Cam and Makayla meet on the plane to Laguna Beach and get caught attempting to join the Mile High Club (on her list!), I was dying. I sort of felt bad for him since Makayla was a real witch to him because of her preconceived opinions. But a the end of the day, they never planned on seeing each other again so it should not have mattered. Those plans never seem to work out.

Once Cam and Makayla realize they are neighbors, the chemistry really begins to heat up. Will they overcome their own insecurities to see what is staring them in the face? I really enjoyed this book and the characters. It was a fun, lighthearted read. If you have a summer beach trip planned, you should one click it and read it on the sand. It would really set the scene. Job well done, Ms. Karr.

What a great, funny, witty quick read book!!!! The blurb the author puts out really does catch you and draws you in and I found the whole book like that.

Makayla is on her way to a new life, a fresh start...with the help of her best friend they compose a list of things for her to do to make some changes in her life...

Low and behold as she is on the plane to start her new life a stranger sits next to her...not just any stranger, one of the hottest guys she has ever laid eyes on. The shenannigans these two find themselves in is funny and the banter is hysterical. Not to mention their attraction is palpable.
This is definately one plane ride neither one will forget...for more than one reason! There is a little bit of a backstory but dont want to ruin it for you!

Wouldnt you know that once Makayla lands and is ready to put the hot guy, crazy plane ride and hot memories behind her she finds out through a series of events that he is actually her next door neighbor and is friends with her best friend!!!

The second half of the book is just pure fun! Watching these two characters trying to find themselves and grow up into "adults" all while fighting and not fighting their attraction held my attention right to the very last page. I enjoyed watching this love story unfold.

I adored this book, although I am the antitheses of Makayla. She is very type A, I am no where near it. I would never be considered and an up tight b***h. (Okay, maybe in high school, but that point is moot.) Any way, let's talk fate.

verb
past participle: fated; verb: fate; 3rd person present: fates; gerund or present participle: fating

1.
be destined to happen, turn out, or act in a particular way.
"the regime was fated to end badly"
synonyms: be predestined, be preordained, be destined, be meant, be doomed;

There was a lot of *fate* in this book, chance encounters and second chances.

Makayla first saw Cam at a low point in his life and to be honest a low point in hers as well. They both left NYC after having some pretty crappy things happen in their lives. They kept getting thrown together in some awkward places and scenarios. If these things happened to me I would be mortified, but since it's not me I had a good laugh at their expense.

Alas, I felt this book ended all too soon, but I just realized Makayla's best friend is getting a book so I will hopefully get my fill at that point.

Makayla and Cam are both searching for something that is missing in their lives. Each of them has faced their own difficulties in life, and these trials have changed their paths. Luckily for them, their paths lead them to sunny California.

I felt a bit disconnected from this story. I don't think it was the story’s fault, as I liked the concept of the story. I'm not sure if it's because I couldn't relate to the characters or whether something was missing. There were some parts I wished delved a little deeper, but I did enjoy the story.

There are many funny moments throughout the story. Not only are some of the characters a little awkward, but they're clever and quick witted. I found that Cam, for me, could be hilarious! And I loved the way he would try to find humor in so many situations.

There were some tumultuous parts in the storyline that gave the story a bit of depth, but for me it felt as though they didn't get enough attention. The main story is a romantic comedy, so I understand the levity needed, but it left me feeling as though the characters weren't as complex as they could've been.

Even though the story wasn't really for me, it was a good story. There was humor, love, a little ebb and flow in the plot, and interesting characters.

No Pants Required was definitely a fun and hot read. The book is about Cam and Makayla; two people on a path to re-discovering themselves. They both meet on a flight to California, sparks ignite, and they make an attempt at joining the mile high club. Of course this doesn’t go as planned and MaKayla hightails it off the plane thankful she will never have to see Cam again.

In true Rom Com fashion they end up being neighbors. After clearing up some misunderstandings these two get hot and heavy between the sheets. I thought Makayla’s list to get her out of her rut was fun but it seemed they completed it fast and I would have liked more. I didn’t care for how Cam acted towards the end as he decided to work on himself. I felt this was a missed opportunity for a bit more depth in the story. If he had communicated this with MaKayla I think this would have flowed better. But I did love the banter between these two and the addition of the dirty book in the story was great.

All in all I enjoyed this and it was a perfect fun summer read.

What a fantastic, fun romance full of giggles and laugh out loud moments. Kim Karr never ceases to amaze me with her writing. Whether it is her romance, suspense, passion, or heat, she always gives her readers one that I know will be spectacular. But this book right here? Took her writing to a whole new level. I swooned. I smiled. I laughed.

No Pants Required is a romance that will catch you off guard, stick its hooks in you, and snag you completely before you even realize it. The perfect summer romance whether you are at home or the beach... this is a novel you do not want to miss. This book was sexy, sweet, fun, light, and will remind you why she is a queen in the writing world.

Do you believe in fate and happenstance? Meet Cam and Makayla. Brought together by fate, these two are in for the ride of their lives. Their initial meeting and the events following? Yeah, that is only the beginning for these two. Full of steam, humor and fun, take the journey alongside these two as they heat up your e-reader and your summer break.

I highly recommend this book.

No Pants Required is hot, humorous with a hint of seriousness and as Makayla would say just my vibrator and me.

Yes, shut the back door, be prepared for vibrator references, mouthfuls of cock quotes and cockiness.

Starting off with Cam and Makayla's getting to know you trip you are treated to the hilariousness of a fumble in the loos on a plane which turns out trying to join the mile high club proves to be an epic fail.

Makayla has moved from New York, armed with a plan, a tick list set by her friend to become the girl she wants to be and not the uptight girl her ex claims she is.

What Mikayla didn't plan was the epic fail turns out to be her new hot lifeguard neighbor Cam.

I laughed out loud, I swooned, I enjoyed the serious and thoughtful moments and the journey of both Cam and Makayla told in dual pov's as it leads to a hea.

Kim Karr has written a brilliant romantic comedy with great characters, an ideal beach side/summer read but don't stray too far from your room you just may need to change your bikini bottoms.

Camden Waters is one hot, dirty-talking, sexy man! The humor grabs you and won't let go throughout the this fun and sexy book. I really enjoyed the scenes in the air plane. There were so many emotions described as the plane ride takes place that you were cheering Makayla and Camden on. Their attempt at the mile high club was extremely entertaining as well as the flight attendant's response. I was hooked on it immediately and couldn't put it down. Who wouldn't want to have their very own book club with a hot, sexy life guard? Misunderstandings put them on a path of misguided misfits but their destiny can't be denied. Makayla's out to prove her ex wrong and Camden is all to eager to help her get started on her list that will do just that, according to her best friend, Maggie. Little do they know what the future holds or how their pasts will affect them, but one thing is for certain - their chemistry can not be denied. The characters are very easy to relate to and have you rooting for them despite their flaws. A fun and sexy read perfect for the summer.
