Fairly good story about, unfortunately, a common occurrence when one is attracted to another but is committed to someone else. The book handles this dilemma quite well especially the feelings involved and the complications that may result.

It was well written, character development good - I'm sure other reviewers will tell you about the story. It really touched me.

I next read the Guest Book by the same author and I gave that a 3.

Really? The three main adult characters in this book -- Cathy, Jamie, and Pam -- acted more like teenagers who never grew up! So much of the book had them spending ALL of their time in the present yearning for ways to change their unhappy past lives! Then the author must have gotten tired of writing this book -- and their story -- for she just ended it! No resolution, no further explanation of what happened "later." (Wouldn't want to spoil anything for anyone who might want to read the book and see what I mean.) What a wasted opportunity for the author to make it a better story than it was. But maybe the story was just not worth any more of her time either! A disappointing "non-ending."
Christian Contemporary Romance (Brush Creek Brides Book 1) :: Skipping Stones :: The Art of Inheriting Secrets: A Novel :: Bash and Olivia's Story (The McDaniels Brothers Book 1) :: With This Ring (Windswept Bay Book 6)

The novel had no substance.. The love triangle was established immediately and slogged on through the rest of the book. That's it. 3 people trying to find a solution to an impossible situation. I kept reading hoping against all odds that there would be a satisfying ending. The ending was flat and frustrating.

Thank you for painting Sonoma so lovingly. I felt I was right there revisiting all those cute towns, watching the sun reflect off the river and salvo ring the smells and tastes of love and loss in one of the most beautiful places on earth. Andrea really made the place, people and emotions come alive.

SPOILER ALERT!!! I recommend passing this one up. I have to give the author credit for making an effort to put a positive spin on an emotional affair, lying, cheating and adultery, but no matter how much lipstick you put on a pig it is still a pig. The story revolves around a family of three; Pam, Jamie and their young daughter Amber; and Pam's high school friend Cathy. Spoiler alert! The story involves an emotional affair and eventually adultery between Cathy and Jamie. They basically sniff around each other like a couple of dogs until the female goes into heat and they commit adultery. Then Jamie rides off into the sunset with his family until years later when he reappears out of thin air and he and Cathy live happily ever after. The rest is mindless filler.

Set in beautiful wine country, a hard working woman falls in love with her friend's husband. What's not to love about a juicy story like that?? It was a great book. I recommend it, a thousand times over!!

I really enjoyed "Always With You" by Andrea Hurst. This is the first book I've read by this author, having recieved a complementary copy in exchange for an honest review. This was a slow burn for me - I wasn't sure I was connecting with the story and characters at first - but I found myself coming back for more and the next thing I knew - I couldn't put it down. I wanted to finish it to see how everything turned out in the end. I loved the ending, and all I'll say - is that the ending was well worth the wait.
Happy Reading...enjoy!

Definitely not what I expected. Even though it was described as a bittersweet love story, I did not expect the ending. If I say anything about the story it will give it away. This story is so worth reading.
