I loved, loved, loved this Book. It changed me somehow. I will never look at life the same way. I will look for honesty, truth, love , kindness in everything I see! .......The details were exquisite, the story insightful and loving! I'll always remember the this Book and it's characters. Can we get a Sequel?

Extraordinarily well written with rich characters, pathos and budding love. There are descriptions of intimacy which make it only appropriate for adult audiences. However, Barbara O'Neal has made it hard to put down this treasure.

I was drawn in from the first page. Beautiful story inhabited by very real, warm characters for the most part. This is one I will keep in my library to be read again and again. Only two disappointing things: SPOILER ALERT. The descriptions of the house were very vague. I had a hard time imagining it in my mind. I was also disappointed that we never discovered who Olivia's father was. Still a great read

A dream come true -- inherit a castle and a royal title, then find out there are a lot of family secrets that are not so nice to go with it. Trying to unravel the stories and find out why you were never told them puts strain on your new and old adventures.

Imagine finding out that you had inherited a beautiful but crumbling estate in a lovely English village. And that now you were no longer plain Olivia Shaw but Lady Shaw. Then you meet a handsome man to help with the complications of your life. Put it altogether and you have an entertaining book that’s ready to fulfill every Anglophile’s fondest dreams.

This book is a delightful story that is perfect for a lazy weekend. I enjoyed the light details about lovely fresh food and flavors. The storyline kept my interest right up to the end. Although, I felt it wrapped up a little too quickly leaving me with a few unanswered questions.

I should have stopped when the "F" word popped into the dialogue, but it was an intriguing story. Approximately half way through the totally useless descriptive scene really disappointed me. It added nothing to the story context.

Cannot even begin to describe how satisfactory and yet charming book this was to read! Mystery, exotic India chai tea, quaint British countryside and amazing food descriptions, you won't be sorry you chose to linger here.

Great story. Didn’t expect the ending but loved it. Loved how detailed she was about the food and the estate. I felt as if I was there experiencing it myself. I will definitely read more by this author.

I want more. This story gripped me from the beginning. I could not stop reading. I want Olivia to find her Father, it feels like I need a sequel. Please consider this. So in love with Caroline and her treasure hunts.

Really enjoyed this book, start to finish. It has a clever mystery and well-paced discovery. Easy to love protagonist, but totally human. Even easier to hate, greedy, childish villain. This a not too dark story that’s an easy read.

This book was a multi-layered story of three generations of women from two intertwined families with haunting lives and profound secrets. The characters were vividly drawn and immediate, even those who come from the past. I enjoyed the book immensely and would love to be invited into its world again.
