While the Significance series is my favorite of all time, Defiance has been my least favorite of the 3 books so far. It was so intense, angsty, and filled with villains that it just wasn't as fulfilling as the other 2. But is still a great read.

Shelly Crane has captivated readers with her inventive and unique storyline in the Significance series. Maggie and Caleb are still struggling to find their happily ever after. The fued between Marcus and Calebs's families after their botched attempt in Accordance is far from over, and Maggie find herself face to face with her captures far sooner than anticipated with Virtuso Meeting underway. With tensions high and Maggie's new found status in question Crane will take us on yet another whirlwind ride. The pace of Defiance was much slower than that of earlier novels, but it will prove worth it in the end. I will definitely be continuing the ride in book four.

So much happens in so little time. The characters grow, and they kick butt. This book is so good, I read it in a few hours. I loved when Maggie didn't just lie down and take it she stood up for herself and her family and took charge.

I am in awe of another well written, captivating, book in the 'Signifigance' series. 'Defiance' had me on the edge of my seat, eager to turn the page and discover the outcome of the toils placed upon characters I have come to love.

I'm starting to wonder if Maggie is borderline just plain stupid. I mean... I know the bad decisions make for a better... Or longer, rather, story. But I mean come on. I love the idea of the story but some things that seem like common sense isn't what happens. The bad decision making on Maggie's part gets REALLY old after book two and then it just continues on and on to put herself in more danger. A lot of the story gets a bit predictable bc of the patterns the writer authors in and you start to think maybe she's doing it on purpose to throw you off and there's a little surprise in there to take the story a whole different direction ... But no. It's exactly as it seems and you get really frustrated with the lack of an actual useful thought process from Maggie... With that being said... I love the story but I wish it were executed differently.

This series is great!! Loved the romance and imprinting and their struggle to fight for what they wanted and believed in!! The love Maggie and Caleb have for each other glows throughout the series !!!

I was really looking forward to this book... but I was disappointed. The story was okay, but what really bugged me was the editing! The first two were edited horribly, typos, wrong words, gramatical errors etc, and I really thought that the author would have spend a bit more effort on this one. Significance was one of the first books I read on my kindle, and because it was free and written by an indie author I just thought poor editing was going to be the norm. I have to say that I have read dozens and dozens of free indie books since then that had excellent editing and proofing.

Having said that, the story was just okay, nothing earth shattering. The continued conflict with the Watsons just got old and redundant and I found myself reading another book for a while. This one just didn't hold my interest like the previous two. I've never taken so long to finish a book in a series! I'm also kind of angry that I had to pay $4 for it. I guess $5 for a trilogy isn't bad at all, but with so many absolutely wonderful books out there that cost less than $1.00... This one just wasn't worth it for me.

This book shows what happens when you wait to long to complete your own hearts wants for the one that you love more that anything. It shows that we have to embrace what GOD gives us no matter the outcome.

I discovered my first Shelly Crane book by accident. I am reading everything I can find that she has written. I love her story lines and her subtle hints at morality. She is not overbearing by any means. I love all of her different series.
