Sloane Kennedy is such an amazing writer that every story she gives you , you enjoy them over and over again. Vincent and Nate were meant for each other their chemistry were like fireworks and I could not get enough of their story . Can't wait for her next story that I know will definitely be hot an satisfying.

Probably the best series out there. I love all the books and this one just keeps the story going. I think I might go back and read them all from the beginning. I forgot some of the story relations and think I'd get a lot more out of the series (and related series) reading it again. Looking forward to #10.

Sloane Kennedy is a must read for me. She evokes such emotion through mature, complex characters and writing. I love that we had a silver fox this time- she doesn't stick to a stereotypical age in any of her series. The pacing was quick and the relationship had so much chemistry. Of course there were twists and turns throughout. We got to catch up with some of our favorite chracters and I'm totally invested in some new secondary characters as well. Nathan is searching for his truth while trying to pay pennance for past sins, while Vincent may be ready to finally move on. Definitely read this book :) I received an ARC for an honest review.

If you love romance, mystery and families who stand up for each other you'll love this book. Sloane Kennedy can open a vein and let her characters bleed all over the page. This is a fantastic addition to her series. Start with book 1 for a beautiful experience you'll never forget.

Sloane Kennedy is one of my favorite gay romance authors and she didn't disappoint in this book. Good depth of characters, great story, sensual sex scenes. Loved it from start to finish. And the minor characters from prior books are consistent with their previously written characters.

This is a great series. The action and suspense is always good. Of course the men are always wonderful. I enjoy how the books always keep the families and characters included in all the stories. Keeps it easy to follow throughout the series.

This series makes you feel. And this book and these characters didn't disappoint. Vincent and Nathan are two more added to this big crew of family and friends who will do anything to protect who and what they love.

Sloane Kennedy is one of my favorite authors of this genre and I drop everything else whenever she has a new book out.
This book is a great addition to the series and I feel for both Nathan and Vincent. This is a five star read.

Another great book in this series. This story was about Vincent and Nathan. Vincent was sent to protect Nathan who has been getting threatening emails. This book has suspense and kept you wondering who, why!

Nathan and Vincent's story is a rollercoaster ride of emotions. Sloane's ability to draw readers in and leave us wanting more is what makes her readers so loyal. I loved this book and can't wait for more!

Just like with all of Sloane Kennedy's books, Defiance is a 5 star read. The relationship between Vincent and Nathan will leave you wishing the story would never end. Defiance is absolutely AMAZING. If you haven't had the pleasure of experiencing Kennedy's stupendous works of art, you are missing out on one of the best (in my opinion) gay romance writers to date.

Another great story in a fantastic series! I became completely invested in Vincent and Nathan's story. The writing was so compelling that I finished the book quickly. I can't wait to read the next book in the series, as well as any other book Sloane Kennedy writes.

Seriously, the spelling errors and misuse of homonyms detract from the story.

Writers, please take an English language class and know the meaning of basic words before using them out of context.

This series is so good. I really enjoyed Nathan and Vincent 's story. It was very fast paced and before I knew it, it was over. I loved learning more about both these characters and I'm super excited for the next book!! This series never disappoints!!

Defiance is the ninth book in The Protectors series by the uber talented Sloane Kennedy. I have read this entire series and they just keep getting better and better. The stories, the characters, the love, the lust, the friendship and the family.
It's impossible for me to even pick a favorite! I just love them all so much. We've met both Vincent and Nathan before. And I knew their story was going to be awesome. Vincent is older (YAY!), big, tough and can be a little scary. Nathan is proper, put together, but big and handsome. They are an unlikely couple, but they seem to complement each other perfectly. Vincent doesn’t want to protect Nathan and Nathan doesn't want to be protected by Vincent. Nathan is mouthier than Vincent thought he'd be. He won't listen, he's argumentative and when he gets mad Vincent is overcome with lust. Nathan thinks Vincent is an a. He's rude, domineering and he can't stop staring at his…everything. Being trapped in a house with Vincent is bringing out things inside Nathan that he's been hiding his entire life. Once he gets a taste, he knows his life has changed forever. For the better. But, can he convince Vincent to take a chance on him? Will Vincent finally talk about his past and let another man into his life? I love these men. They are both so tough and sexy. I didn't expect Nathan to stand up for himself and not be afraid to speak to Vincent that way. I loved it! It was a battle of wills and lust that had me crying, laughing, swooning and fanning myself. I can't get enough of these protectors and their men!

Loved Vincent and Nates story so much. Nate is running for senate and has been receiving threatening emails and having his property vandalized. Vincent is brought in to try and protect Nate. They both have issues where they don't think they can be with each other, but they work through it and get to be with the one they love. I highly recommend this book.

I love Sloane Kennedy books! All of them! Even if they are dark, while this one isn't as dark as others, it is thrilling and exciting(danger) and so full of second chances! Really enjoyed this Story! Love these men!

Sloane Kennedy does it again. Defiance is another truly brillant addition to The Protectors Series. Totally loved the story of Vincent and Nathan both of whom are fighting there own past demons. Sloane as always leads you on a journey of suspense, angst, an emotinal journey with two men with off the charts chemistry. All of Sloane's books are a must read for me and Defiance is no different. Loved it.Cant wait for the next and the next in the series. Easy 5 star plus plus plus
