Strike (Gentry Generations)

First off, I *love* the Gentry family and Cora Brent's storytelling. I always know I need to emotionally prepare for one of her stories bc I'll laugh, cry, smile, & feel love by the HEA. So I have high expectations, and this one, while definitely good, just wasn't great for me. Well worth the 4 stars but not quite 5 as expected. The love story is hot & romantic, the peek into the first generation is awesome, but the suspense bit of the plot line just didn't build and resolve satisfactorily for me for Brent's usual awesome style. Loved Dalton though & Cord especially. Can't wait for the rest of the family's stories! ❤️

A romance that develops between a man (who previously played professional baseball) and a college student working at the same resort. I liked both characters and the writing was fairly good. There was some suspense and intrigue in the storyline, but its conclusion was rushed, lacking, and fell flat. The suspenseful side story could have been eliminated and the book's ending wouldn't have felt so uninspiring.

I was not disappointed in the next generation of Gentry. They are as tough as the first. Getting to read about the alpha Gentry men dealing with their children being grown was great. This family reminds me of my own. I laughed at learning of the "hot seat". My heart opened and I cried at the coming together of the uncles when one of the chicks could be in danger. I cried when the word Daddy meant so much to the big alpha. I just love these big strong men that will do battle for their family and love them with their all. Cami adds to the alphas in the family when she falls for Dalton.

I loved every moment of this book!! Camille was head strong and sweet. She's someone I'd love to have as a best friend. Both her and Cassie. Their twinsense was awesome. Dalton was oh so very sexy. And he was such a sweetheart. I liked how they didn't go back and forth with their feelings like most books. It was refreshing.
Now I must say I need more Cadence and Jacob! Like wth man?!!! Their small appearances in the book really grabbed my attention and I. Need. Mooooreeee!! I'm a loyal Gentry fan and I can't wait for the next book im this series.

Strike (Gentry Generations #1)

In true Gentry fashion, you think you know what has happened, and how it will be discovered, but Cora has show once again, that the reader should never put the cart before the horse. I loved Cami's independent and stubborn nature, but as her Uncle Deck warned, '...sometimes you shouldn't ask questions...' Dalton almost seemed to have too submissive of a personality in his business life to suit Cami, but again, things aren't always as they seem for Cora's characters.
Cora is, and always will be, a one-click for me! I hope you enjoy the path Cami and Dalton's story takes you along, as much as I did.

I love this series. I love these characters.
I love when the author knows that a good epilogue just isn't enough and gives us more.
This book begins with the lives of the Gentry Triplet's offspring. You get a glimpse of the Gentry Boys and their true loves as parents. There is nothing hotter than reading about love that stands the test of time.
Cora did a great job of writing Cami's love interest. He is different from her family but still strong and loves fiercely.
I can't wait to read the next book.

Have read some of the Gentry Boys stories and was excited to see this story is about Cord's daughter, Camille. Camille has a summer job at a resort and there she meets Dalton. Needless to say, it is a case of mistaken identity. However, Camille has left quite the impression. Dalton is a perfect alpha that falls into place with how we like our hero. Lots of chemistry. Some violence and a healthy bout of sexual situations configure into this modern day story of man meets woman.

I received this book as ARC for my honest review. Another amazing book from Cora Brent. She brings us back to the live of the Gentry tribe. Now with the new generation. I love that Cami personality is stand for herself and the same time give me the vibe from the first generation. Dalton is hot retired baseball player. That now is tried to follow his dream while is working as a Manager at a prestigious Night Club. I love this story so much it makes heart warm and I felt so much in love with them.

I LOVE Cora Brents work! She continues to amaze me with the unique stories she writes and Strike is no different.
She captivates you and pulls you into the story immediately and keeps you enthralled and not wanting to put the book down.
Cami was a strong female character who loved her twin and family to no end. Her strong family ties make you wish you had half the loving relatives she did.
Dalton, holy crap that man would make any woman melt. Between my imagination running wild with his looks and his heart of gold what a man!
This is another of Cora's books that won't leave you disappointed!

I loved the Gentry Brothers Series. Can't get enough of these guys. I can't believe they are all grown up and we are reading the next generation. Cami. Cord and Sawyers daughter studying to become a reporter. Cami comes home from school for the summer and worked at a resort. She meets sexy club manager Dalton. A lot of memory lane off Gentry brothers. The family has grew and are very close. Loved the story. Loved to read about Cami's twin Cassie.

I love that we get to follow another generation of Gentrys. Cami and Dalton have a suspenseful story. I know this might seem crazy but, as much as I enjoyed Cami and Dalton, I was over the moon to have more of Cord. He is such a great dad. It really brings a smile to my face, knowing where those boys came from to where they are now. Loved it!

OMG-I loved everything about this book-I have been reading this series since the beginning and this book just brought all the emotions back from all the others-This book was so sweet and exciting with the whole bad politicians and such-the love story in the middle was just the great icing on the cake---Camille and Dalton were such sweet characters and sweet love-I cant wait to read the next in this series---GREAT HEA!!!!

Cami's book is a bit different from the emotional ride we are so used to from Gentry boys. Cord, Creed, Chase, Deck and especially Stone and Conway are the ones I cried my heart out. But nevertheless, this is an amazing love story. Cami is strong, gorgeous and very smart. It is so wonderful to see the future and enjoy the second generation of Gentries so I am so exited and impatient for the next books.

Eek! I floved it! Dalton and Cami are electric and I adore them. I loved The Gentry Boys Series so so much and this new generation holds the promise of being just as good and intriguing. I'd definitely recommend it and I can't wait for more of the Gentry's.

I loved all the Gentry Brother books. Now I’ve read Turn and Strike. The books are all well written and have great story lines. Cora Brent is an exceptional writer. The only problem I found was the editing. It’s not bad enough to take away from the book, but enough to notice. Regardless, I can’t wait to read more of her books.

I loved reading into the lives of the Gentrys again! This book exceeded my expectations and I absolutely adored Cami! She is definitely a Gentry girl! This is a must read if you loved the original Gentry boys! Now get a glimpse into the lives of their children!!!!

This book is the continued story of the Gentry family, but the first book to focus on the child of the Gentry brothers and cousins. This book is a home run! Great characters that suck you into feeling for them and a well written story make for another page turner for Cora Brent! Can't wait for the next book! Keep em them coming Cora!!

Cora Brent has made the Gentry family evolve and grow. This book is a wonderful must read. Even if this is your first Gentry book you will love this alpha romance. If you have invested on previous Gentry books your love for this family will grow. This is a genius spin off of the original books. I can not wait to see what is in store for the future of this family.

I love reading books about the next generation, especially when I fell in love with their parents in the first series. Cami and Dalton had chemistry from the beginning and I am glad that things worked out for them. I loved that we got to visit with all of the Genrtrys .

Another good story from the Gentry group. The second generation is coming into their own. It's like keeping in touch with family and watching them grow up. Can't wait for the next one in the series. If you loved or even just liked any of the Gentry boys stories, you'll be interested in this one...

I absolutely loved this book. The Gentrys hold a piece of my heart and my mind. This book is about love, patience and family. Of course the hotness and sexiness is over the moon. I'm looking forward to read about the other members of the family and of course I expect the families to keep growing.

Cami and Dalton are perfectly matched, lots of banter and sizzling sexual chemistry between the two.
