Nicholas Sansbury Smith has established himself as one of the great dystopian storytellers. Trackers 2 is the continuing battle for survival in the aftermath of a North Korean EMP attack on this country. The survivors are confronted with simultaneous attacks from the North Koreans, scavengers and marauders. The moral breakdown of society fuels zealots who ravage survivors, kidnapping and killing at will.
This is a superb tale of hope, self-sacrifice and community in the face terror, violence and inhumanity. Heroes emerge to accept the mantle of responsibility, while opportunists seek power and lawlessness.
While it builds on characters in Trackers, this story is stand alone and any previous information is woven into T2. Well written with engaging characters, plenty of suspense and genuine knowledge of EMP's and there aftermath!

Nicholas has done it again. Another riveting story of post-apocalyptic USA after a North Korean attack. Law and order has broken down. People are doing anything to survive. Remnants of civilization are trying to survive. Great action and story lines.

Slow going at the beginning but suppose that is mostly necessary for the development of the characters and the readers ability to relate to and empathize with them. Once the action picked up I could not put the book down.
The Hunted :: The Hunted One (End of Days Series Book 1) :: Hunted (A Seventeen Series Novel Book 1) :: Hunted by the Dragon Duke (Dragon's Council Book 1) :: Hunted (Talented Saga Book 3)

Another great series from Nicholas featuring a very credible threat to our power grid. And if that was not enough, threats from the people that take advantage of the situation and the response of the good people to protect themselves and others.

I liked the realization that the EMP scenario in Trackers1 and 2 could be ripped from current headlines. I had high expectations for Trackers2 after reading the first book, and I was not disappointed. There is an emotional connection with each of the characters and their attempts at coming to grips with the reality that the US is in chaos. Adrenaline pumping action as citizens across the US fight for survival. Starvation is a reality as food supplies dwindle and law enforcement is pushed to extremes as gangs fight for supremacy. A must read.

Just finished Trackers 2!!! Awesomeness! What a rush at the end! At first I figured it would be a "cliff-hanger" but then PEW!PEW!PEW! and KABOOM! and the bodies hit the floor and now I need book three! I highly recommend this series as it's so realistic, it's scary!

Wow. If you thought the first trackers was good, well you haven't read anything yet. The U.S. Is still dealing with the attack from North Korea., Raven and the gang have returned to Rates Park to recover from wound garnered from hunting down the serial killer. Little did Raven and Nathan know that their stay would be short and that the mission to save Nathan's nephew would be deadly . Book three is going to be a hell of a ride if the first two are conductive to how this story will play out. I want to say that with the current world standing and the way Nicholas has written these books , it should either scare the he'll out of you or make you seriously think about things. What he has written can occur and people turning on one another can and would happen, matter of survival and the ones who are waiting for the inner demon to come out and reek havoc.

The follow up to Trackers Book 1 is excellent! It exceeded my expectations. As North America is reeling from the apocalypse resulting from the North Korean EMP bombs, Colton and Raven in Estes Park, Colorado struggle with securing and providing for the town. Charlize, the Secretary of Defense, is trying to find her son and to protect and salvage what remains of North America. This is not your typical apocalypse story and it happens to be very relevant to the times we are currently living in. It's storytelling is engrossing and has me anxiously waiting for the 3rd book!

After waiting impatiently forever, my book arrived. As in book #1 I savored every word. All of Mr. Smith's books he grabs you in and slowly you are there in the scene, part of the action. I was Ty dragging my paralysed legs getting to safety. I was Lt. Dupree seeing a ray of hope banging my bloody hand on the window asking for help. I was Charlize Montgomery a soldier, A Mother, the Secretary of Defense, a leader doing a job yet fulfilling promises. When an author makes you feel during a book, you know they are doing their job.

I have read all of Nick's books. I think this series will be his finest. I hope you enjoy this book as much as I.....if that is possible.

Can't say enough about this book, it's absolutely awesome. If you liked Trackers you will absolutely love Trackers 2. I even got goose bumps at the ending. You can see it all happening in your mind as you read and and the action packed pace keeps up all the way to the end. I can't get enough of Nickolas Sansbury Smiths work. Bring on the next book.

Can NSS feel the reality of the modern world? Yes he can, with this book! Wildly shifting from one bad scenario to another full of hope, then to another of anguish. Gripping, articulate, still following the basic premises of Trackers 1. I was cheering the good guy, and wishing I was there to help them with the bad guys. I was up late several nights without realizing it while reading this great story!
I've already pre-ordered Trackers 3!

Keep up the great work NSS!

After getting attached to the characters in the first book, Smith really reels you in, in another action packed story! I could hardly put this book down. And when I could all I could think about was what's going to happen next!

Another hit by Nicholas Smith, whom draws you in seems like from the first page. This second book is so full of action and everyone is fighting for their lives. Will all the good guys make it? Unfortunately no. There is even more action in town so there is no rest for the weary fighting for what is right after North Korea launched an EMP and devestated the United States. Grab this book and hang on for the ride. Now can't wait for part three .

Raven is my new favorite character in the apocalyptic genre. He goes a bit crazy in Trackers 2 which is full of action, suspense and neo-nazi butt whooping. I loved every minute of it and I can't wait to see what happens with book 3. Smith continues to up his game with each book. Unlike a lot of the authors in this genre he writes full-length novels instead of splitting them up into shorter books and selling them for full price. He also has a great editing team working with him apparently. I never notice typos like a lot of the other kindle books I read. Thanks for taking such pride in your work and being so good to your readers Nicholas!

After reading the first in the Trackers series I eagerly anticipated the arrival of Trackers 2. I pre-ordered it earlier in the year when it first became available to order and was excited when it arrived. Long story short, Trackers 2 is a excellent continuation of the storyline. I loved the first book but this one was even better. The character development is excellent and I felt as if I was there going through the trials and tribulations of the post EMP environment. Nicholas Sansbury Smith is a remarkable author. Any of his books will keep you enthralled and leave you wanting more and more. I can honestly say that he is one of the few that I will purchase a book from without even knowing the storyline... his creative mind and storytelling ability is that good. If you want to read novels that excite your mind but don't insult your intelligence, Nick's books are for you.

I mentioned it in my previous review for Trackers... I wasn't sure I was down for this type of book. But I have to say that yet again, Nicholas Sansbury Smith really nailed it. When I read a book I look for character development and total immersion. What he started in Trackers he continued in Trackers 2, the development continues without missing a single beat...Literally! The second book starts almost immediately after the first and at it's completion still leaves you wanting for more. Even if you think it may not be your "thing" get it, read it, trust me you will love it.

The frightening thing about Trackers is that it's eerily relevant to what's happening in the current political climate in the world. One of the things that the "government" is concerned with, and rightfully so is a sky burst high altitude nuke. The resulting EMP would very easily cripple our country or a large part of it.

One of the things that brought me to Trackers and Trackers 2 is the fact that this is a story about realistic people in a realistic scenario. No super heroes or delta troops, just Colton, Raven, Nick and the gang..Their fight to keep the town together and their families safe is made much more difficult with the local gov't and a group of bandits who hit them hard!

Nick has spun two great tales of folks coming together and trying to make sense out of the mess the country is in

Nicholas Sansbury Smith never disappoints. Ever. This book is packed with action and suspense that will keep you riveted until the end. The thing about this particular story is that it's so very feasible. With world events as they stand right now, this series will give you goose bumps and nightmares until the very last page. The characters in this book are very well thought and every day people. Nicks attention to detail makes his books top of the line. Good job and now waiting on the edge of my seat for Trackers 3! Two thumbs up and I wish I had more thumbs- they'd go up too.

This story pulled me in immediately and kept me engrossed completely in the fast-paced, action-packed, and well-written style that is so familiar to Mr. Smith's books. It was hard to wait for this book, and I read it so fast - what a rush! Now I have to wait for the next one!

A surprise nuclear attack by North Korea devastates the USA. Nuclear EMP bursts wipe out our electrical grid and transportation. Nuclear bomb attacks destroy Washington DC and major military bases. Millions are dead or dying and as many as 30% of the population faces death…..

This book is a thriller from cover to cover. It is based primarily in Estes Park Colorado. It shows how nation wide the USA has collapsed without power, food, medical supplies or law enforcement. Chaos reigns nationwide and North Korean submarines are not finished with their attacks. This book rings to close to a possible future in our relationship with North Korea.

This is a well written book and it features a great story and good character development. Some characters you will love and others you will hate with a passion. It shows what happens when some people act with intelligence and compassion while others would rather steal and kill for whatever they want. It depicts the best and the worst of humanity. Unfortunately it also shows how quickly our civilized country can fall apart in disorder and mayhem.

This is the second book of the series and it is obvious that a third book is on the way. I can hardly wait for the book to be released. Nichols Sansbury is a good author and he is becoming one of my favorite authors to follow.

This is an excellent story and I enjoyed reading it. I cant wait until the next book is released and i can read it. This is a good series and it is intense to read. You get so involved that you become related to the characters in the story. This story is so close to the news headlines of today it will make you think more about Korea! It is a great read and you will enjoy it! You will be shocked at how quickly the USA collapses and evil people take over without law and order in place. This is a great book!

After reading this book you may want to purchase a backpack and start making up your family's bug out bag for survival needs! I have enjoyed many of the books written by this author but this one is close to reality based on today's headlines and that is why this story is special as it is almost prophetic. The author has a skill for writing apocalyptic stories that I like to read.

The author has a knack of writing great apocalyptic stories and his work in state security makes his knowledge of the possibilities amazing. I like how he can write a complex plot and make it so interesting that you cannot put the book down and stop reading.

This series just keeps getting better and better with each new book release. This book is like it is written out of a headline from today’s current news stories. That is why it is so interesting and realistic. This is one of the best series of post apocalypse stories I have read. This series of stories just gets better and better and if you relate it to what is happening in the newspapers everyday it even becomes more terrifying.

Nicholas Smith is a first class author that really writes great books that are intense and hold my interest.

The fourth book of the series was just released and it is receiving rave reviews.

This is a great series of books and worth reading as it is a good story from beginning to end.

Another well-written book by this author. The non-stop action starts on page one, and continues throughout the entire story. I found it hard to put this book down once I started reading. An intriguing and unique story line. Scientific information that is factual, will definitely cause the reader to consider the possibility of some of the situations actually happening.
I think readers of action, adventure, should also give this book a chance, you won't be disappointed.

After reading the first Trackers novel, I was impatiently waiting for Trackers 2. This sequel was just as good, if not better than the first book.

Like the first novel, I one clicked this book and immediately dove into it. Also like the first Trackers, I could not put this book down until I was done reading it.

Do yourself a favour and buy this book. You will get so engaged in this world and it will make you want to read everything from Nicholas.

My rating for this book is another 10/10. So freaking amazing!

Character development is good. The story is fast paced at times.

Some of the scenarios illustrate a lack of real life tactical experience on the part of the writer. Fun read, lacks depth, and with time I hope they get better. The EMP is a good scenario and plausible. The tracker and the relationship with his k9 should be developed further.
Experience with training K9's for Scent work, tracking, bite work, and some real life combat experience would bring a depth of knowledge to this book it desperately needs.

the store Review

I waited with great anticipation for Trackers 2 and it was as exciting and engrossing as I thought it would be. I loved Trackers, the story and the characters. In this second book of the series the reality of this post EMP world sets in and we see the people we admire and care about struggle to survive.
A handicapped child is missing. What are you willing to give to find and rescue him? Your town is facing winter and there may not be enough resources for everyone. How much of your soul will you sacrifice to improve your odds of survival? Will Nathan save his nephew? Will Raven face his personal demons and survive? Will Colton find a way to help the townspeople of Estes Park survive without sacrificing who they are? These are some of the struggles that our heroes and heroines face in this heart-pounding thrill ride.
Once I started this book I was unable to put it down until I finished it. The character development was very satisfying and the topic is certainly relevant. I loved Trackers 2 and can't wait for the next book in this great series!

This story is horrifying as well as terrifying. Not because of monsters but because it comes across as REAL, especially if you have been keeping an eye to world news!

Mr. Smith has a way of making not only his main characters so well rounded that they could potentially be a friend, a neighbor, or a relative but because he writes these characters with faults, demons, and the capacity of goodness, kindness and love.

But I think that it is Mr. Pinchot who is the defining key in making these characters real to me. His ability to interject the right emotions into the character takes him from being a narrator to a Master Storyteller!

Dark. Intense. Savage. This second book of the Trackers trilogy begins only five days after the initial North Korean EMP attack and the small town of Estes Park is already devolving. Despite Chief Colton’s best attempts to keep law and order, the atrocities keep coming. Potent suspense, meticulous research and superb writing combine to make this story some of the author’s best work. Do not browse past this series!

This storyline just keeps getting better and better. So realistic that it's down right scary. North Korea..EMP's, paramilitaries groups, no supplies ...all in the same book. The action continues from Book 1 and literally never stops. I can actually visualize the main characters they are so well written. Do yourself a favor and start this series. You won't be disappointed.

NSS paints an incredible picture of life after a nuclear attack. It is hard to put into perspective how life would be in such instance, but he does it so well! A master at character development, his books always leave you wanting more!

I am very into this series and the strong characters spin-off the pages. The storytelling makes you want to know them and shed tears when they fall. I did not want Nathan to die he was one of the good guys. I also could see that Raven and Nathan could have been strong contenders in fighting against the crazies. Who wish to rule the world. I we'll say it again, this Post- Apocalyptic novel is not far from believable with what is happening in today's news. Which makes it interesting read.

Nicolas has once again proven his talent as a writer. What a great story! Trackers 2 takes up right where Trackers 1 left off. It is an amazing thrill ride and leaves you begging for more. I can't wait for the next installment in this series. I highly recommend this book.
