The Hunted One is an incredible story of the hardships of being an angel. Like humans, Michaela (heavens leader) battles emotional demons she didn’t know she was capable of having. Clark (a drunken and often sloppy human) is a necessary and surprising friend to Michaela who even through her ruthless attitude, stands by her side and fights to bring justice in a war he doesn’t belong to. Each character grows throughout the novel, making life changing choices that in the end solidify what they have become instead of who they once were. Meg Collett didn’t open the doors to a new world, she simply just left the gate open. I look forward to reading more from this fantastic author.

Wow. This book was amazing.
Michaela is Heaven's General, the first Angel. In the heat of the moment, she gets tricked into doing something unforgivable... She's thrown to earth, to the wolves, so to speak. One action leads to another and all the other angels in Heaven assume she's fallen, or sided with Lucifer.
I loved Michaela from the start. She's strong and flawed. It made get seem more real. She tried to do her best, making hard decisions that no one else could-or would-make. I loved Gabriel too. Their love for one another was perfect, if not heartbreaking.
I have such high hopes for the second in this series. I know it won't disappoint!

When I heard about The Hunted One I immediately offered my services as a reviewer to Meg. At the time the ARC’s weren’t ready yet, but she kindly promised to let me know when they where and send me one when they where ready. The Teaser happened, which got my attention. Then the Cover reveal happened… more excitement, because this cover is simply gorgeous! Some more time passed, and I started to doubt whether the book would really be something for me after all. I mean, I was definitely interested, but The Hunted One is a bit outside the box for me, different from the books I normally read and review.
Then the email with the ARC came… I was a bit busy at the time, had a huge list of books up for review so The Hunted One got placed on the notorious To be Reviewed list I keep for myself. About a week ago I started reading… and had it finished in no time!
I was hooked from the first paragraph. Meg’s writing just pulls you in, her writing style demands your attention and makes sure it keeps it hold on you’ve finished the very last page of the book. The writing is just so vivid and descriptive, which makes it so easy and fun to read. The pages just came alive in my imagination and I could see everything happening.
Michaela’s character was very strong. She was determined and caring, everything I love to see in a good protagonist. It wasn’t just Michaela though, all characters where dynamic and real. They had flaws, knew they did and didn’t pretend to be anything else (that annoys me so much in some books…).
For a book in the ’Fallen Angel’ genre I thought this books was original. Somehow most of the time books in this genre just seem clichéd and overdone. The romance was slight but good and Meg made sure to keep the action flowing. There are lots of books in this genre and being original can become quite tricky. I just very much liked how this book surprised me after the doubts I’d begun to have about it beforehand.
To sum things up, The Hunted One is a well-written and interesting read with great characters in a plot that worked like a charm.

I will first mention that I personally know the author. And when I read books written by people I know, I'm always a little worried. I'm worried the book will disappoint, and my brutal honesty will come forth. I didn't need to worry here.
The storytelling is vivid, with strong character development. I'm intrigued by the author's humanization of angels, and the idea that just like us, they doubt, and struggle, and make mistakes. As such, this book was not what I expected and the pace and story turns kept me looking for more. When the end of Book 1 arrived, I was taken by surprise. That's good, as it means I, and other readers, will be anxious to read the second installment.

Meg Collett's debut novel is nothing to sneeze at. The detail and imagination in this story is remarkable. The Hunted One is about the Archangel Michaela and how she fights to regain Heaven after she is basically ripped out of Heaven's gates. Unlike anything I've ever read and without giving anything away, I have to say, the ending was heartbreaking and left me wondering what will be coming next.****Complimentary copy provided by author/publisher for an honest review.****

This is a paranormal book consisting of the popular fallen angels. This author took an extra bold step and brought many different types of angels in the story and created an amazing tale. Its about finding out who your true friends are, and who is there for you even when pushed away. The main character in the story will make you both laugh and cry with her struggles as well as accomplishments.

This book was amazing. It is about angels, specifically archangels. They get tossed out of heaven and micheala is trying to save them and get them back their home. Anyways this mixes angels, and demons and love and all other types of things. This really is a must read. This is book 1 in a series. I cannot wait for the next.. Very anxious.

Michaela is bad ass in this book. I love paranormal and angels are the best. This one hit it perfect, it had everything you can think of and the way it is written is great. I couldn't put the book down. I am sad about the angels that "fell", like Gabriel and the rest. I am hoping the next book brings some redemption or revenge.

Right from the very start, I knew this book would be good. The writing is beautiful. The plot is so unique and mind you, this is a book about angels, and there are plenty of books about angels out there. The characters are very likeable (well, the main characters). And the romance? Holy frickin Gabriel!
I'm definitely counting the days 'til The Lost One is released.

What a phenomenal debut! Collett has a wild imagination and she grants readers free access to let go of reality and immerse themselves into the first book of The End of Days series. Her world building is spot-on and the eclectic array of characters are animated, well-developed and strong. The unique storyline will captivate bookworms of all genres and many will agree it's tough to put down once they get started. Michaela, our heroine is the front runner who steals the show and she seems to come to life with every flick of the page. Action-packed and heaven sent!

I really enjoyed this book. I was a little unsure at first about the subject matter, as I wasn't sure if it was going to be super religious. I was very pleasantly surprised to see that it was not.
I love Clark, it took me a little while to warm up to him, but once I did, I was sold. He is the prefect best friend.
Michaela was the best heroine I've read in a very long time. She is so tough, and yet so relatable. I fell in love with her so quickly! She developed so wonderfully through this book, and I can't wait to see what else is in store for her!
And oh Gabriel. That's all I'm going to say. Oh Gabriel!
This book moved quickly and the end really snuck up on me. I am dying to read the second book now! So well written and very easy to get lost in!! I will be getting the rest of this series!

'The Hunted One' is an exciting and enchanting first novel in a fresh New Adult fantasy/paranormal series. The book follows main character, Michaela, who is an Archangel in Heaven, until she is betrayed by fellow Archangels and thrown to Earth - stripped of her wings and powers. Those who betrayed Michaela and Heaven accuse Michaela of being the one who let the fallen angels inside of Heaven, causing an ethereal war. Although Michaela is forced to stay on Earth without her wings, she vows to do everything in her power to return to Heaven and reveal the truth about what happened, along with what she believes is the holy angel's own plan to take over Heaven and begin the End of Days. Along with her Archangel friend, Gabriel, who was also banished to Earth, and Clark - a human devoted to protecting the angels - the three will stop at nothing until the truth is revealed and everything restored to it's rightful place.
Although there are tons of books out there that are about angels and fallen angels, this one is a serious breath of fresh air into the genre, as well as pushing it even further by being a New Adult title. I loved the concept of the story and devoured every single detail that the author gave me about all the angels - holy and fallen - and about their histories, the end of days, Heaven, and everything else that the book centers around. I couldn't get enough of all the vivid descriptions and intricate details throughout the book and I really hope that we get more of the same in the next installment. Michaela is a kick-ass main character for the book. She's an Archangel and is basically in charge of keeping Heaven safe. When she gets betrayed by her fellow Archangels - those she loved and considered family - she has to gather her determination, strength, will, and intelligence in order to figure out the truth and find a way back to Heaven. Although she's such a strong lead character, she does have faults - which only seem to amplify the longer she's on Earth. I liked seeing her flaws because it made her feel more realistic and I could easily identify with her. The other two main characters in the story are Gabriel - a fellow Archangel banished to Earth, and Clark - a descendant of Enoch whose duty is to protect the angels. The three make a strange team at first, but they work together well and form a great dynamic. The story is actually told from varying viewpoints - those of Michaela, Gabriel, and Clark - which I believe adds a whole new level to the book. The reader gets to see into the minds and hearts of each of these characters in an intimate way that wouldn't be possible otherwise. The plot was full of action and even some romance along the way. There was a lot going on, but I didn't feel overwhelmed or confused at all. The pace was quick and I found myself eagerly reading to find out what was going to happen next. I have to admit that I definitely liked watching the relationship between Michaela and Gabriel change and grow - it was an added bonus to an already awesome story line. I highly recommend this book to fans of fantasy and paranormal, as well as those who enjoy angel and New Adult fiction. I'm already eagerly awaiting the next book in the series to be released!

The main story flows with good dialogue and editing. Ms. Collett has a powerful imagination and a gift for descriptive story telling. I really enjoyed this story and look forward to reading the next installment. I highly recommend reading this book and for a Debut Novel, great job Meg Collett!
