Addiction (The Hunted Series Book 2)

Penny and professor Hunter story starts right we're we left off with a little extra drama. What James Hunter wants more than anything is to give penny everything she wants and more. I can't wait for the parts in this series.

Penny has a hard time controlling the little voice in her head that immediately thinks the worst when it comes to Professor Hunter but it makes for good drama. I found myself really loving James' brother Rob. Oh my God he takes no filter to a whole other level & i found myself really lol. Things get ridiculous for them since the school found out but I think they came up with the right solution. I would have done the same thing despite how fast everything is happening. Love is love & it definitely didn't read the book on how it's suppose to happen. If u love drama & sexy sexy love scenes then u need to read this book.
I did receive this for free from the author but this is an honest review.

I really enjoyed this book. It is definitely not your typical student/teacher cliche like so many other books tend to be. I like the development of the characters as the series continues. It is a little 50 shades-ish as you read you notice small similarities but the writing is better developed and the characters are deeper. It's very small similarities that most might not even notice. Also it's super hot and the characters seem to have a real connection. Can't wait for the next book!

Addiction part 1

This one picks right off where it ended with part 3, in the Hunted series. I cannot put into words at how much this book ripped my heart out. I was so sad, and frustrated with Penny and James! It was hard to read at how Penny felt after she finally told James her secret, but then to find out some of the secrets James was hiding! Oh my, I was like I have to shake James. As always, Ivy’s story is still addicting! Even though these characters drove me insane, I still loved them. They have to find their own way, and I think they will eventually will get there. After all the secrets and lies are over, I feel these two can finally have their HEA.

Addiction part 2

I think this one by far is my favorite of Ivy’s. She did such a great job at turning things around and making everything better, even when everything around James and Penny are falling apart. I loved that Penny and James finally help each other. There is still a long road ahead for both of them, and I have no idea how it will go. I can honestly say, Penny has grown so much throughout this series. I’m finding I love her more and more with each book and I hope she continues to grow. James is slowly becoming the man his is that Penny sees and that makes him more loveable. I honestly don’t know how Ivy does it. Every single of her books I’ve read, I’ve been compelled to finish. There’s no stopping once you start, so be ready for a wild ride!

Addiction part 3

I’m utterly devastated this novella series is over… I don’t want it to end! Once again, Ivy pulled me into the crazy world of James and Penny. I have to say, I read this one a bit slower than I normally read, just because I wanted the book to continue. I wasn’t ready for it to be over when it was. But, at the same time, I’m thrilled at how things have turned around for Penny and James. Both have come such a long ways throughout each book, and now I cannot wait to see more from them. I have to know how things will go and how their relationship develops. If you haven’t read any of this series, I highly encourage you to do so. I loved them all and I’m so glad I took a chance on Ivy!

Well it really has pick up in the story. It picks right up after part 3 has ended. I was a bit frustrated with Penny and James. I had to get through this one.

Part 5

This part is so much better than Part 4. It picks up in pace. Penny is so needing and James is in love with her! Finally some improvement on his character. We get a inside look at his head.

Part 6

I'm so sad that it ended. Or it hasn't? I'm not sure on that. They came such a long way since the first book. I look forward to more Penny and James. I like humor in this one with James's Brother. I laugh so much with this one.

I absolutely love Ivy's style of writing and following this story. It's easy to empathize with Penny. She has so much going on around her and is not always sure about what to think or feel. One can't help but feel what Penny is feeling when she second guesses and has guarded suspicions. ..We don't give poor James enough credit lol Love his character! But as we wait for the next part of the series you can anticipate that there will be problems when we get to know James's family and more about his past. The question is, can their relationship endure? What about the other guys that also have feelings for her? Will they take advantage of those difficult moments? Ahhhhhh I ant wait, Ivy!!

5 Crazy Ass Must Read Stars!!!!!

Devoured this book! DEVOURED. IT! I am really enjoying this series. So much so, that I didn't stop to leave a review in between this and Eruption. Yeah, I hardly wrote any notes either. I was just so sucked into the the story. I had to see where things went.
There were a few twists that had me spinning. I got my hopes up at one point but they quickly got shot down. I still wasn't that sold on James. The secrets, the crap, and what I felt were mind games. Ugh, and Penny. Grrrr...she's so frustrating.
Start this series with Temptation.

And the fallout happens! How could it not? This is book 2 and you had to know this would happen. Is this the end? Is it over for Penny and James? I'm not telling , you"ll have to read it to find out. SO DO! This isn't a fantasy relationship, it's real, but can it be? James is light years ahead in life, geogrgeous, rich, naughty, worldly, while Penny's is just beginning to tip her toe in the water of life, sort-of-speak, intend she jumps in with both feet. This book takes you though the consequences of the choices they made in book one. Not an easy journey. A great read, the characters are growing and we root for them as they do, we cry with them, we fight with them. Is it worth it? You'll have to read to find out.

Book 2 in The Hunted Series is phenomenal. We pick up where book 1 left off and we see Penny struggling with her "break" from James and her attraction to Tyler. As Penny and James start again, they are thrown into a scandal that seems they may never recover from. Isabella doesn't help matters nor does the constant watch of news crews wanting to get the scoop. Everytime Penny starts to think things are going back to normal, a new wrench is thrown at her but in the end the love they have overcomes even the worst case scenarios they are dealt. Ivy truly did it again!

I dove right into Addiction dying to see how Penny and Professor Hunter’s relationship would continue!

We pick up right where Temptation left us off. Professor Hunter having found out Penny’s secret, needs time to decide how he feels and how and if he can still be with her.

Penny is lost and confused when Professor Hunter says he needs time to figure things out. What did he see in her in the first place to want to be with her? Why can’t that be enough to forgive her her secret and be together again? Should she just settle for someone who wants her, like Tyler or maybe someone else?

Penny and Professor Hunter’s strong connection brings them back to one another, again but can they overcome their past secrets that just keep coming at them from every direction trying to break them up. Professor Hunter becomes more of the man Penny needs him to be and steps up to protect her when their relationship is exposed and the media won’t stop hounding them and the school about their “forbidden” relationship.

Can’t wait for the next chapter in Penny and Professor Hunter’s relationship in ERUPTION!!

Love this story. James and Penny's roller coaster of emotions continue. It just keeps getting better and better. Once again I got this story to read before I even posted about the first book in this series because I just had to know what was happening. Not big on cliffhangers but just couldn't help myself. I'm addicted and I highly recommend this series. What a great hot read!!!!

This series is not only sexy and different but is laugh out loud funny and I honestly found myself grinning like a fool on more than one occasion. There were times when I pretty well knew what was going to happen but a good chunk of the time I couldn't put it down because I needed to know what was next. I'd recommend Penny and James' story. Can't wait for the next one!

Loved the second book of Penny and James! Again, I have read this multiple times, and decided to finally leave a review so others would read. This book picks up where Tempted left off with their relationship and a crossroads. Will they or won't they? I just love their story, and the progression happened nicely. After reading this book I would recommend City of Sin as they make an appearance in that book. I can't wait for the next one to come out. A definite MUST READ!

Book 2 in this series clears up unresolved issues from book1. Be sure to have plenty of tissues on hand as you will need them. This book is super great! It will suck you in and leaves you feeling like you are part of their families...or you will wish you were.

This installment of three picks up right where the last one left off and in a pretty heavy way. You get to see the way Penny is coping after the truth from the previous book came out and she’s left to fend on her own.

This got me. Right from the moment it starts, having become so connected to Penny and James as a couple and also the people they were apart, I felt her pain. The author did a brilliant job at showing Penny just going through the motions and how something like what she shared with James affected her so much that it started making everything around her begin to crumble.

Her school work, her friendships, social life (what little one she had), all suffering because of what she perceived (and rightfully so) was a loss of something that truly meant everything.

It was heavy and it came across very real and if I wasn’t already bonded to her, I would have become so even more then.

Enter Tyler. I don’t know what it is about this author, but I swear she enjoys giving me this guy lol He steals the show every damn book he’s in and I can’t help but root for him even though I know deep down he’s basically a stepping stone for Penny and her Professor getting back together. I need a Tyler in my life seriously. The way he is with her, the way he overlooks the hurts that have been made against him, it’s just perfect. He’s damn near perfect.

But he’s no match for the professor. This series of books too James and put him on blast. You see much deeper into him here than you did in the first set, as these two try and navigate back to one another. You’re privy to his life before Penny and what ends up slamming straight into the both of them in the here and now. How he deals under pressure, but most of all, just how deeply he feels for the woman he never should have let walk away.

Where the first set of books seemed to only scratch the surface this one truly delved into the nitty gritty of the taboo relationship, and just how deeply these two characters (and even the secondary side ones) were capable of feeling.

And when the temperature was raised, much like the last books, they definitely got hot. Scorching even.

I loved it. Loved everything about it. Ivy, you’ve done it again.

Hooked me. Kept me firmly planted but most of all, you made me want even more!

Addiction is the second book in the Hunted series and is just getting better, still ends on a cliff-hanger . Penny fell hard for James but now he will not talk to her .What is going on? This one just made you want to cry in some places. I can not wait until I read part 3. I was gifted a copy for an honest review.

Great follow-up to book 1 – Temptation.

The story continues with Professor Hunter being as mysterious and dominant and Penny as naïve and uncertain as ever.

These two are definitely addicted to each other. They come off more obsessed than in love. I laughed every time Penny screamed out “Professor Hunter” during sex. That’s just so wrong! But those sex scenes are hot – that pool scene in particular.

I’m enjoying this series and moving on to reading book 3.

This is probably my favorite professor/student romance. It is sexy, complex and well-written with well-developed, likable characters. James is seriously hot and layered, sometimes an ass but so in love with Penny. Penny is smart and also so in love with James. I can't get enough of their story and cannot wait for what happens next with them.

Penny and James' dramatic love story picks up right where we left off. As sexy as the first book and even a little bit hotter. I feel like I am there with the characters and that I am a part of the action. I found myself getting made at the press and the Dean and wanting to high five James for assaulting an ex colleague. You just can't stay mad at him for long!! Penny gets me a little anxious with her worrying but I guess every character has a flaw (just like all of us)! Thanks for another story to come snuggle up to! Can't wait for more!

I screamed, laughed, and swore with this book. I didn't know that you could love/hate someone that much at the same time. I just wanted her to make a choice, but every time it seem they would have another obstacle in their way. Couldn't stop and ready for the next installment.

This series has me head over heels for the characters. I am so nervous and excited to see what's going to happen in the next books! Plus, the heat that radiates off the pages. I have flown through the first 2 books in a matter of days!

"Addiction" was just as good as "Temptation"! Love the direction the characters, Penny and James, is going! Just when you think one thing is going to happen, it goes another way but for the better! Also enjoy the introduction to the new characters too! Looking forward to book 3!!!

I thoroughly enjoyed this book (and the rest in the Hunted series)! I downloaded the Kindle app on my phone just so could finish the books in this series! James and Penny's story has me hooked! I can't wait for the last book to come out in October!
