Dover Publications-Butterflies Coloring Book (Dover Nature Coloring Book)

This is a great coloring book for butterfly fans of all ages. I purchased this book for my adult sister as she adores butterflies and likes to color, using artist quality colored pencils, to relax. The pictures are very pretty and nicely detailed.

The drawings are very detailed which is great. I'm an artist myself, but still love to color, and this one is chock full of so much detail, plus the little factoids are a great addition. It's so great, I'll probably just make copies from it. :)

Coloring book and crayons...who knew?!

These coloring books are perfect for the older or more adept child. Of course, that is what everyone believes about "their" children...but in MY case, it is TRUE. Even the 4 year old is a budding artiste!

I purchased one for each of my Grandchildren's birthday. Who would have thought they would play with them over all the "new-fangled", flashy, noisey gifts?

This book is educational, which I thought I would like. But, the drawings take up only a small portion of the page, and are very juvenile. The rendition shows it to be nicer than it is. There are accurate colored pictures of each butterfly, but the actual drawings are very minimal. They should have used up the page with a lot of nature inspired coloring chances. It seems like the artist was just lazy. I would not recommend this to anyone.

This is a lovely coloring book. It's small, fine detailed drawings and the information written underneath is better suited for older kids. I bought it for my 6-year-old and I'll be hanging on to it for a couple of years.

Great gift for teens or anyone who loves butterflies. I used this as a gift for a friend who's going to be in the hospital for a while. Hopefully she'll be able to play with it when she's well enough to be bored. Oh, all her tattoos are butterflies.
