Daddy, I Love You

We've bought this book repeatedly. My son originally had it in hardcover and ripped one of the pages pretty badly when he was a few months old. We switched to the board book version, and it's been awesome.

1) Teething. My kid loves to chomp on board books. He does end up eating some of the paper and that's less than ideal, but it really seems to soothe his teething pain more than his plastic and wood teethers.

2) The actual story has good flow. The wording is slightly different ("Just be quick" v. "Don't be scared" when Daddy bear advises him about the bees) in this version compared to the full version and the ending is simpler (doesn't have the part about the den, if you're familiar).

My son LOVES the bees in this book and does pretend bee stings whenever he sees them on the page. He also likes to mime patting himself on the head like Daddy Bear does to Little Bear in the story.
