This book contains so much information! What ever questions or curiosities you have about the spirit world, faith and God and Lucifer are all in here. I DO NOT want to try to communicate with spirits anymore.

this book is a must for those newly interested in various aspects of the paranormal. as the writer candidly tells of cases involving demon(s), he does so in a highly professional and credible manner. the scientific tools are described that help differentiate between real demonic evidence and the quack who wants his or her home classified as "haunted" for reasons of profit and thus presents noises, fraudulent photos of orbs, etc. this is an easy read: i read it straight through. . . so much for dinner that night.

This book is a very interesting and scary read. I don't often read, but I read this book cover to cover and have gone back to it many times. The anecdotes used by the author provide a rare glimpse into the life of a demonologist. Regardless of your spiritual beliefs, this book is a spooky read.

Wow! What an interesting read - I could not put the book down. I just purchased additional books on demonic infestation of a home and feel much more empowered knowing what not to do to attract an infestation. I never knew these things, and am learning more from other books on the subject.

This book reads like an interview with Ed and Lorraine Warren and discusses a few of their cases but does not go into great detail regarding each case, so I guess you'd have to buy further books if you wanted to know more about a specific case. I personally, would have preferred more in depth knowledge of the cases mentioned, which is why I've given it a lower score, but it is well written and absorbing. It's not frightening, unless you are someone who plays with ouija boards or likes to dabble in the occult - you have been warned!

A well-written account of the few examples of the Warrens' life and cases. Although originally published in the early 1980s, this book is well worth the read. Ed Warren (now deceased) does hold a few beliefs contrary to Catholic doctrine (like past lives), but he generally believes what the Church teaches. The Warrens continually warn their readers not to venture into this subject lightly, and to avoid occult practices, especially the Ouija Board. This will make a good addition to the student's library.

An entertaining and inquisitive read. Even if only 20% of these occurrences are accurate, the Warrens have led an extraordinarily whirlwind life worthy of film and a life to take notice of. If you're a skeptic such as I, this book will lead you on an endless journey of research and exploration.

Crazy scary. Especially in the tone this book takes. Nothing is presented in a dark or ominous tone. Its all done in a factual, informative way. While its a good read to give you the hibbi jibbies before you go to bed. For those of us that believe, its a good read on how to identify the darkness at work. Don't read this lightly.

I love horror books and movies and this book based on real events scared the crap out of me... That'll teach me for starting the book at 1am in the morning. It's an interesting insight into the more famous/most scariest cases that the Warren's have been involved with. Well worth a read (But make sure its during the day) recommend read for those who like true stories.

Given the history of the Warren's travels and the cases they have investigated, I found the book very insightful and sometimes scary in reading specifics about their most dangerous investigations. If you are one who is curious about how the demonic and spiritual world are handled on this level, I would recommend this non-fiction story of their experiences.

If you have even a passing interest in the paranormal, you really should pick up and read this fascinating book about the extraordinary Ed and Lorraine Warren. In this book you will learn about some of their most infamous cases, yes, including Annabelle the doll, soon to be star of her own movie.

It is written in a down to earth fashion despite the astounding subject matter. I found it hard to put down

Easy to read overview of the Warren career with enough information without too much detail. If the reader is not accustomed to this field, the reader may leave it a bit anxious, because it is one thing to read fiction about the paranormal, quite another to realize it actually happens. The good thing about this book is that there is little attempt to try to convince the reader. The Warrens have seen and documented it all and they have nothing to prove.

I read the demonologist years ago and just read it again. I just put it on my kindle so I would have it forever. I really loved the book because it explains all kinds of stuff. If you believe in the supernatural you have to get this book. Ed and Lorraine are the best of the best. You would not go wrong with this book.

This book gave me a new perspective on the haunting and possession phenomenon. All those documentary shows on hauntings dont tell the whole story. Eye opening, surprising and scary at times. The revelations are unexpected. Especially about the church and its role. Love this book.

This book talks to your soul & makes you introspect all those moments when you felt like a failure in life, when you felt down & out or felt lesser of a person , was it you thinking those thoughts or someone weakening you systematically ? It also proves that deal making for success with the devil is one way ticket to hell ! I would say it was divinely ordained for this book to be written as the blazing beacon of hope , life in the absolute darkness of today's world . Read it today , it must just change your life !

After watching the Conjuring I was deeply interested in more of what the Warrens had seen and went though, this book had just what I asked for! I have to tell you first off, this book is a bit horrifying, and I am getting chills just talking about it right now. The Demonologist is very informative and quite addicting. As scary as this book was, I had a lot of trouble putting it down, and you probably will to if this sort of thing interests you in anyway. I have been looking at other books about The Warrens and nothing has touched this one. Check it out!

This book was very well written and a complete joy to read. The stories are not for the faint of heart and may keep you up at night. The Warren's are among the most respected in the field and were doing paranormal investigations 50 years before it was "the thing to do". If you're looking for actual cases and not made up ghost stories, you can't go wrong with this book.

Intelligent, informative and interesting. Answers all of the questions all of us demonology questers are asking. With out sensationalism or theatrics this book by/ about the Warrens is a balanced look at the flip side of unseen goodness. Without preaching or belittling we're reminded that we are spiritual creatures susceptible to a pull in either direction. It will certainly make me think deeply for some time. Read it.

This book is pretty straight forward and deliberate. There's no air of exaggeration, which is weird considering the topics and experiences covered. Very informative on the nature of demons and ghosts. I do believe in the supernatural and have had my own experiences... However, it's still hard to believe that some of these things actually happened - spontaneous combustion, demon possessed vagrant in the middle of NYC, phantom cars running you off roads. Seems like a real life version of the show "Supernatural". I really enjoyed the book but still uncertain on whether to consider this as 100% factual.

Compared to some of the other reviewers...I didn't think this book was too scary. It was definitely creepy. If there had been more detail on some of the stories... it would have been even creepier. Overall, this book is an interesting overview of the career of the Warrens. Well written and interesting all the way through.

Anyone who doesn't believe there are evil spirits and demons around should read this book. All the accounts are documented by witnesses in addition to the Warrens. The Warrens have given so much of themselves to help others, even putting themselves in extreme danger. This is one of the best books I have read.

I've been reading books from the horror genre for many years, and I have to say this book is one of the scariest books I've ever read! This book ranks right up there with "The Exorcist" in scares. A word of advice: Don't read this book if you're alone at night! It's guaranteed to make you shiver!

This is the true story of husband and wife demonologists, end and Lorraine Warren. The recent movie The Conjuring was based on part of their lives.

This book covers several of their true life cases, and is an interesting look into their lives, and the investigation of the paranormal.

I really, really liked this book. The only flaw in my opinion, are the pictures that are not impressive and some look set-up, but we have to consider they are very old and for the times, I guess it was the best that could be done. The information on this subject is intense and scary. Very good book overall!

This book was (is) pretty disturbing. I had to read it in very short segments. If you're wondering why this kind of activity occurs, the book answers that question. Ed Warren makes a good point..... There no atheists that experience this type of turmoil....

This book is a useful overview of the metaphysical world that surrounds us. Ed and Loraine Warren share details of some of their more fantastical stories in an attempt to get the reader to see the bigger picture.

After watching the movie "The Conjuring", i was interested in finding out more about Ed and Lorraine Warren. This book details many examples of real cases they have worked. These stories are real and tell a fascinating side you never want to deal with first hand.

I liked the style of writing the author used, kind of a Q & A format. The subject matter certainly gives one pause. I find myself, even way after I've finished the book, pondering some of the material presented. Well worth it and keep an open mind!

More than describing the amazing career of Ed and Lorraine Warren , the book provides information and details that helps identify the phenomena around us....excellent book. I had to read it at day though....I couldn't read it at night. No pictures shown in the book

I absolutely LOVED this book! I learned things that I had NO idea about! Mr. and Mrs. Warren are basically SAINTS! I couldn't put this book down! This book will creep you out, make you hear things that will question the noises, bumps and creaks in your house! You MUST BUY THIS BOOK!!

i really like the focus on the positive energy that can guide our lives or deliver us from evil. The queer twist for me was i had an experience with what was an earthbound spirit and all of the odd events i witnessed were described quite accurately within this text.

Also, truly frightening! I walked around the house terrified of shadows for a week after reading this--- don't read before bedtime! Highly persuasive case for possessions, ghosts, and demons, with real life case studies.
