I've been looking for a thriller like this series for years. This trilogy was intense and each page was thrill binding. Jeff not only knows how to place your mind into a serial killers but also feel for the survivors. I've just read Wildlife and yet again I was captured by this intense thriller. To find an author who can articulate madness, family, love and loyality Jeff has done all this!

Phenomenal. I could not put it down. Jeff Menapace could be an heir to the Stephen King thrown in my eyes! Fell in love AND hate with the characters! At times wasn't sure if I loved or hated them as sadistic as it is to say that for some of the bunch. Cannot wait to read more from him!!!

This box set is insane. I had never read anything by Jeff Menapace before, so I had no idea what to expect. Now I do...a fun action-filled thriller with great characters and multiple twists on an old formula. Monica Kemp rocks. I'm sold. Plan on reading many more from this author.

Murder takes many forms and comes at people from many different directions. But what do you do when the perpetrators like to "play games". Bad Games takes you into some of the scariest sociopaths possible. A simple family vacation turns into an ongoing nightmare. Just when you think the "game" is over - the pace is picked up all over again.

Very good read for people who like a "sit on the edge of your seat" "bite your nails" and "read until the book is done" story - I recommend Bad Games Trilogy. Just purchased book 4 and on my way to see what new Hell Jeff Menapace can think of for the Lambert family.

Interesting basis to start from. Your basic psychopath stocks couple book. No major twists or turns you could not see coming. By book 3 it just reminded me of Friday the 13th part 222. In other words it just kept coming back for me. Probably could have been a better series with just 2 books.

These were all really good and easy reads. I was on the edge of my seat through most of them. It's tempting to think they are a little unrealistic, and it probably is, but that's why we read for entertainment. And in this day and age, who really knows what's possible or likely anymore?!?!

In Bad Games, book 1, the Lambert Family are heading for a nice, quiet, relaxing weekend in a cabin at Crescent Lake. Unbeknownst to them, along the way, they have attracted the attention of the Fannelli brothers. The brothers have included the family in one of their sick and twisted games. The family are being harassed and terrorized until the brothers decide the game has run it's course. The outcome of the games is usually death!

In Vengeful Games, book 2, the Lambert family barely survived, but they showed the brothers that they messed with the wrong family. But family sticks together, and when strange and deadly things start happening to the Lamberts again they ask their close friend Domino Taylor for help and they quickly realise that the Fannelli brothers had a family, and that family are bent on revenge.

In Bad Games: Hellbent, book 3, it's been a year and Domino is still protecting the Lamberts. Racked with guilt over a certain death, he is intent on keeping the family safe, but when someone from Dominos past asks for his help, he knows he has to say goodbye to the family. But someone else from his past is there to play one last game.

This series was amazing. This was pretty much a non stop psychological thrill the whole way through. What the family went through was horrible but I loved how the couple came together and did whatever they needed to do to help each other. Book 1 and 2 centers on the family and it was heartbreaking seeing what they went through, in both of the books. I was on the edge of my seat throughout!!

The brothers were absolute psychos! They think they are special because experts say that it's genetics that play a big role in how someone turns out, but the brothers were raised in a loving home. They think they are the exception to the rule and will be famous and studied when they are eventually caught. Not that they want to be caught, they enjoy the torture too much and love what they do! But from an early age, the brothers loved inflicting harm on others and notched their first kill at an early age. They were the worst of the worst. But in book 2 we are introduced to two more of the family and they were even worse!! It is definitely a family affair.

In all, a terrifying and thrilling read. Al three books kept me on the edge of my seat throughout. What both the family and Domino went through was terrifying and disturbing, but seeing their strength was amazing. The author has created some sick and twisted characters, but ones that will stay with me. I highly recommend this series!!

This isn't the first book narrated by Gary Tiedemann that I've listened to and it won't be my last. He really brought the story to life in this one!! His inflections and tones were perfect for the book and kept me on the edge of my seat throughout.

I was voluntarily provided this audiobook for free from the author, narrator, or publisher. This in no way affected nor influenced my thoughts.

BAD GAMES REVIEW: A couple and their children head out for a relaxing weekend in the woods... but it becomes anything but that. With twists and turns on every page, I couldn't put this book down. My three best bits of advice - block off a morning to read it through (and not an evening- you won't want to sleep right away), don't visit a lake for a few days after, and definitely turn around if a stranger offers to buy you gas!

VENGEFUL GAMES REVIEW: The schemes that began in the first book continue to escalate. The signatures of Menapace are present here - creepy mystery, thrilling suspense, and a strong sense of action. You won't be able to put the book down, especially as you reach the end of the book! What is more compelling of a reason than protecting and avenging your family? However this works both ways...

HELLBENT REVIEW: When one of the thought to be dead previous antagonists turns up very much alive, all hell breaks loose. A secondary character, Domino, from book two shifts into the spotlight in this novel, but Amy and co still play a central role.

What I liked most about this book was that it kept the vein of revenge thriller, but with a different twist. There were many twists and threads that wove together but the end. Out of the three books I've read in the series thus far, I can definitely say that this one was the one that truly played a bad game. Highly recommended.

I think this series is fantastic! First of all, I am a picky reader. I like raw, scary material that gets you into the minds of everyone involved in the story. And the Bad Games series does just that. Without any spoilers, I will say that the journey this family goes through take twists and turns you DO NOT see coming. I like how the author doesn't hold anything back, the relationships between the Lambert family, the Fannelli family, and the two intertwined. I was shocked at some of the craziness and I absolutely loved it!! Once I started each book, I couldn't put it down. And honestly, I waited a few weeks to read Bad Games: Hellbent after I purchased it, because I didn't want it to end!! I purchased all of the books in the series beforehand, but I was very graciously given Bad Games Omnibus as a gift from a friend so I was able to read the extras :) Loved Loved Loved!

Wow, I just finished reading the Bad Games Series and it was absolutely AWESOME!! People said that the relationship of Patrick and Amy was too “lovie dovie”, but I loved it, and it did in fact make you root for them. Vengeful Games broke my heart, but to avoid spoiling it for others I won’t say why. I was caught off guard with the “Hellbent” book, honestly didn’t see what happened coming at all. And what I expected to happen, didn’t!! That was very refreshing. If you’re looking for a rollercoaster ride filled with crazy people and heroes alike, this is a series you don’t want to pass up!! Very well done, and as a native of Philadelphia myself, I have to say you’re doing our city proud!!

There are three books in this series and even though you think it's not possible they keep getting better and better! The first one will leave you on the edge of your seat wondering what will happen next and just when you think you know WHAM a twist you never saw coming. After I read the first book I couldn't imagine how the second book could happen but it does and it is so perfect and keeps you engrossed! Then the third book happens! This one will lest your emotions! You will be angry, cry and scared all in the same sentence. They are amazing and you will love them. Well written and flows from one book to the other easily. My only word of warning is.....clear your day because you will not want to put them down! They are that good. This writer has incredible talent and all his other books are just as good. He is a keeper!!!

This series scared me senseless, but I couldn't put it down. Vivid characters wild characters some you love and some that are the stuff of nightmares. Extremely well written, great plot twists fast paced and the kind of book you can't put down. I'll never go to a cabin in the middle of nowhere ever again.

Edge of your seat psychological thriller. All three books were an awesome read. Loved the relationship between Patrick and Amy, the teasing, the loving, mutual respect, and acceptance of each other's vulnerabilities. The two brothers are dark, evil, narcissistic, and highly intelligent psychopaths. Their family members even worse, as you will find out. I believe the author did a fantastic job showcasing the mental illness shared by this deranged family. This is one twisted wild ride.

I have only read Bad Games. Terrifying is an understatement. The tension is palpable in this book. There were a couple times I wanted to just stop reading but I couldn't!! I'm not sure my heart can handle the other two books right now but someday, on a bright sunny afternoon by the pool, maybe I will pick them up. Or perhaps barricaded in my safe room away from crazy people! I'd say give them a try, if you aren't easily scared! I'm not usually but this book was so intense!

Downloaded these and read them all in one weekend! Don't plan on getting anything done! Devote some time to dive into these. There really isn't a good stopping place to put the book down and do something else. You'll be back at the book in no time, turning the pages to see what happens next.

This series grabbed me from the first page. Jeff is an extremely descriptive writer, so you’re pulled into the book like you’re there. It doesn’t come off as hokey, just serves to put you ‘there’ with the Lambert family. The books could use a little editing but the story throughout makes up for those shortcomings. I could barely put it down. Must read psychological suspense!

I really enjoyed these books. I found many of the scenes in these books terrifying. Especially when I put myself in the characters shoes and tried to image what it would have been like to go through what they went through. I had an amazing time hating Monica. She is one of those characters you just love to hate.

This is a great series. I especially loved Monica and Domino in the third book. She’s tough nut he proved he was tougher. And Amy, at the end, had a whole lot of courage and gave Monica what she deserved.

I am absolutely hooked on Jeff's books!!! The Bad Games Trilogy has kept me riveted all week-end! I have been reading it on my computer, but when I have to walk away from it, I pull the book up on my Fire phone and continue reading......I am completely unable to put it down. Jeff is an amazing writer and his stories just grab ahold of you, pull you in and will not let you go. I am looking forward to reading more of his work in the very near future.

I was surprised how much these stories drew me in. I was impressed with the writing and pace of each story. Plenty of twists and turns kept me wanting to know what happened next! I think the thing I loved most about all three stories was they kept the theme going while being completely autonomous stories in terms of what's happening. Nothing felt like a repeat of something previous. Very impressed and highly recommended!

I loved the story lines and the characters, good and bad!! I am a dedicated fan or Dean Koontz and Stephen King so I was excited to see the comparison in the reviews, but was disappointed after reading the trilogy. The books were a good read but not great although I do see the potential of the Author to be compared maybe in his future books!

I really loved this set of books. Great characters. My only problem was having Domino call Amy girl all the time. As a black woman I can tell you that only women and gay men do this. So everytime he said girl to Amy, it made me cringe. Otherwise a great set of stories. Made me take deep breaths at times, but good reading..

This trilogy was awesome! This was my first time reading anything from Jeff Menapace and after reading all three books I've purchased more of his work. All three books kept you locked in and not wanting to put it down. Highly recommend this set to anyone that likes his work or looking for a good thriller to keep you on edge. Just started his book numb hopefully it is just as good.
