There should be more inspiring books like this. It has more of what is real in life than any. It love, pain despair, friendship, hope, mystery and all human emotions, and FAITH! By including the receipies it makes the story come alive. There should be more such novels that are so uplifting. Would be a great gift.

Fun read. I particularly enjoyed the themes of prayer and letting go when losing close ones. It was well done and thought provoking for me. Characters well developed. The recipes were good, also. Looking forward to more by this author.

OK, just purchased and read the online book.... Easy to follow, well written, looks really easy to do. Looking forward to putting a system in my future greenhouse. Now, once those blooms come on the tomato plants you will need to hand pollinate, so that you will get those tasty tomatoes.

I enjoyed reading this book enough to buy the next book, which I'm reading now. I'll probably read the rest of the series, just to see what these busy body ladies do next. I think this is probably not a book that many men would enjoy, and it's not gripping or suspenseful, but it is kind of fun to read. If you like soap operas, you might like this because it's kind of like a soap book.

This book was such a fun read. The spiritual lessons come through in a very natural way. This is refreshing as so many Christian novels can be somewhat "preachy". Looking forward to reading more Potluck Club books.

Very enjoyable book. The writer made me feel these were real people, and had me rooting for all. Lots of background info, so I expect future volumes will give us the story of the rest of the town. Highly recommended.

The change of character dialogues was a bit to get used to, but the story is well done and fun to read- real-to-life situations- like being a fly on the wall and seeing things from the different characters' perspectives.

Long read. Things come together near the end. Very spiritual story with bible references and moral lessons. Many characters well developed with each having their own moral issue. Leaves you with a lot to think about.

A truly wonderful book filled with extremely believable characters. Initially I just enjoyed reading this book but as the ply developed, I laughed and I cried and my soul grew and was renewed. Not many books can make that claim. Cudos to the author who did a great job helping heal my heart!

This book started off just okay...didn't like the diary type writing at first but as I got further into the book that seemed to settle out some and moved into more of a dialogue/conversation. Ended in a way that makes me sort of want to read the next in the series. Not sure...Will see!!!

This book is full of great characters. They all have their ups and downs and their good and their bad just like real people. It keeps you wanting to find out more about them until the very end and hopefully in a sequel.

This was an awesom and unexpected joy to read! Worthy of note recipes but the real meat of this work is the insight into how faith triumphs over even the most imperfect of human prayers and intentions. Gossip or Christian concern? u be the judge...great read!

These ladies may live just down the street. Real experiences, real heartache, real loss, real faith, pointing to a loving God who will see you through the hardest times. The joy of lost love regained.

the reading was both enjoyable believable. as a christian i found it not over done and appropriate. found the characters while christains still had troubles. mishaps, made mistakes. however their belief help them turn around and work out so;unions through their belief.

excellent demonstration of demonstrating that being a belabor does not make one perfect, but able to accept our lords direction.

good reading for all.

Believable characters and plot. Although the book is decidedly Christian, the characters are very much human. Christian women struggling with living a Christian life with a mix of tears and laughter. Looking forward to the next book in the series!

After reading this book I really wish I could walk into the pages and become a member of the Potluck Club and a resident of Summit View. I can't wait to travel further with these women. Very well crafted and written and such a joy to read.

I agree with previous reviewers: This book was not quite what I expected. The characters were interesting, flawed people; and the problems were not all wrapped up in a pretty bow at the end. There are a lot of characters, but their voices are all different. I finished the book a couple days ago, and am still thinking about parts of it. I'm ready for installment #2!

From the minute I started reading this book, I was completely taken into the story. I felt like the people I was reading about were my friend s & neighbors. Has several very good lessons to give to every person that reads the book. Definitely recommend.

This was a very good book. I loved the Christian aspects of it and how it made me stop and think about how I pray. Do I whine to God, do I pray believing he hears me. Lots of things to think as bout. Take the time to read it.

I really liked the story line. Though the beginning was quite tiresome and full of so many names not knowing who was narrating at some point. I started enjoying the book midway and had to finish it of course. The lessons and benefits of having a true and personal relationship with God was portrayed through the live of the main characters. In the end we are not perfect, as humans we do have our shortcoming.

I loved the story and the entire book of characters. Great story. I enjoyed reading about all the fun, different characters and how they each contribute to the potluck club and how they all turn to and trust in God. Wonderful book

Excellent character progression and great morals to the story. Appreciate how the author combined the life stories and showed real life and how to keep loving people deal despite their shortcomings and your own.

A fun read filled with quirky, real-life characters. This story reminds the reader of the need to extend forgiveness to the seemingly undeserving and of our Heavenly Father's great love and capacity to forgive us.
