Awesome book! Whether it's the first of series you read or the last it won't disappoint! It was great reading how the team came together! This is by far my favorite book series and I will be anxiously awaiting Omega!

Having read the Callsign: King books, I enjoyed reading how it all started for the Chess team. Part of the appeal of these books is the weird science mixed with mythology that stretches plausibility, but nevertheless make for an enjoyable escape from the mundane.

Well. This is the first book of Jeremy Robinson that i have read and it doesnt dissappoint. I read books from authors such as Matthew reilly, dan brown. robert ludlum, wilbur smith. So, if you have read books written by those authors, you will begin to understand the kind of expectations level one has. I say that this book doesnt disappoint me but did not grab my attention as well. i just read it during my transit from one city to another.
Firstly, the characters that were introduced did not do enough to justify for there position in the plot . For instance, the author should have put more effort to make the protogonist,Jack sigler who is supposed to be the elite of the elite more admirable. The team that he leads is not given enough reasons to follow him. i would have loved to read few situations where his quick and daring decision earns him respect from the team right in the middle of the action sequence. But that wasnt to be. The climax did not have enough twists and suspense where the reader grabs the book at the edge of the seat. All the action sequences somehow do not have enough interactions within the elite team which makes the reader a part of the team. For all i know, the elite could have done what they did without Jack Sigler.
Anyways, for a first time reader of this author, i am just enough impressed that i am thinking of reading the next book in this series.
Antarktos Rising :: Kronos :: Cannibal (A Jack Sigler Thriller Book 7) (Volume 7) :: Instinct (A Jack Sigler Thriller Book 2) :: Pulse (A Jack Sigler Thriller Book 1)

Another Jeremy Robinson success, I don't believe he can write a bad book. I love the foreshadowing in this thriller. If you are looking for a great action packed read..take this one for a text drive, you'll love how it handles on the corners!!

I thoroughly enjoyed this book sadly l read Ragnarok first instead of starting with Prime Now that I know it is a series I will read them in order. I AM A 73 year old woman and I love this genre. NO LOVE STORIES FOR ME.

I liked the storyline but one thing kept bothering me, a minor yet significant nit pick. They would run out of ammo or lose their primary weapon but never carried a backup? I've served in the military and been posted on bases that have spec ops/Special Forces. When they gear up they always carry handguns as secondary weapons. When the primary goes down or empty they automatically transition to their secondary in CQB/Direct Action scenarios. While minor, if you know anything about shooting, this will take you out of the story.

While I thoroughly enjoyed the first two Jack Sigler series novels, "Pulse" and "Instinct" I did not like "Prime". Understand, I typically read Jeremy Robinson's novels for the thrill and adventure. And, I've always enjoyed the mystery of the unknown, not knowing what's going to happen next. Although this story seemingly started out that way (mystery of the manuscript, black plague, historical setting, etc.), it took a quick turn for the worse. I felt like all I was reading was a novel about military combat. Guns-a-blazin everywhere, special ops, Delta forces, sit reps, sit rooms, Army generals, battles in Iraq, blackhawk choppers, yada yada yada. I might as well have been reading a Tom Clancy novel. After reading almost half of the book I simply lost interest. The characters were shallow, poor story development, and felt a bit contrived. Maybe I should have given it more time to develop. But, after reading the first 100 pages, I wasn't convinced it was going to happen. Maybe it's time to move away from the Jack Sigler series and into Robinson's other works.

Once again Jeremy Robinson doesn't disappoint. I have all of his books so far and they are all great. Anyone that is a fan of Matthew Reilly, James Rollins, or Andy McDermott will love his chess team series.

King, queen and the gangs all back for another thrilling roller coaster ride through a fantastic and biologically engineered plot! The character development and interaction is superb and brilliantly choreographed, bravo, bravo!!!!!!

I am never disappointed in anything by Jeremy Robinson. This "prequel" is what the series needed. I gave some solid background on the characters and the formation of the Chess Team; something that was needed to pull things all together.
