The Spy (An Isaac Bell Adventure)

This new series by Clive Cussler has all the hallmarks of Cussler's best work...an 'everyman' type of hero [someone that men and women can admire] and some historical context for the mystery. I like that this book, THE SPY, and its' two predecessors straddle the 19th-20th centuries, a time when the US was reaching the pinnacle of it's industrial and political dominance. The writing, dialog, plotting, and characters fire on all Locomobile cylinders! I wish this series a long and successful run.

Written well as usual. A page turner. Cussler's character Isaac Bell is too good to be true, but none the less one any man should aspire to be, and about which any woman would love to read. He's a marvelous character.
His action-packed adventures are a sure fire treat.

I love all his stories they are interesting and keep you reading. This story takes place before WWII with new technologies coming in and gangs, spys, internationals and military involved in the caper keeps it interesting. I love it.

Clive Cussler has another terrfic series on the go. Isaac Bell is proving to be a multi-faceted detective and Cussler is building an intriguing character that hopefully will have many more adventures!

Sorry Cive. Not your finest hour! I have read pretty well all your books and this one is at the bottom of my list. I liked you better before you started co-authoring. Many of your Dirk Pitt adventures are classics.
