OMFG!!!! This book is so good!!!!! My favorite part is when the ending turns out to be a dream and Edwin is a human not a vampire. My other favorite part is when the wolves told the boy to tell Jezbell that they caught her skinny-dipping and that they'll be watching her. 5 stars baby!!!

I've read quite a few Twilight "parodies" and have disliked almost all of them, since they tend to either rehash the plot or worse, make the characters completely unrecognizable. I enjoyed this book for the sheer number of horror and pop culture references it works in while advancing a plot that parallels, but does not copy-paste from the original story. This is exactly what a parody should be. Incidentally, the characters are far more likeable than in Twilight: Jezebella actually has a sense of self-preservation, even if she is still inexplicably obsessed with Edwin. Edwin is vain and mostly incompetent when it comes to protecting Jezebella, and is implied to creep into her bedroom like Edward, but his constant commentary about the illogical parts of the Twilight universe makes him endearing. You really have to have seen the movie as well as read the book to understand all the references.

I honestly only read this to fill the empty whole in my heart thats meant for Midnight Sun. This book was just a parody. I get that. Which is why I enjoyed it at first. But then… I’m not sure what happened..

I was really upset with my purchase of this book. I was thinking it was going to truly be Edwards version and it was not. This is a false title and I was really disappointed I could not even finish the first page. Very misleading and honestly you should of never of been allowed to write. Stephanie Myers should sue you!

Sorry Stephanie Meyer wannabe but this is a failed attempt. What a disappointment! The puns were really cheesy and not at all catchy. If you want to take notes on how to do a successful attempt at a guy perspective as opposed to a woman's view try reading the last part of the Fifty Shades of Grey trilogy. Now there is how to do it. This really felt like the cheesy puns spoken on the monster high cartoon. I couldn't tell it wasn't.

This book could have been much better and much more humorous if the author would have stuck to parodying the Twilight books. Instead, he constantly references Twilight and how those books and movies have affected the lives of the characters in this book. There were also several sentences in the book that did not make sense even accounting for this book to be satirical (I.e. "She died in childbirth with the oldest son).

If you are a fan of Twilight ( as I am ), this book will break your heart. I don't like my characters messed with. Authors poor attempt at humor falls flat. Stephanie, I am sorry someone thought making fun of your wonderful story was a good idea. To me, Stephanie's book is one of my favorites.

I am a fan of the twilight books and movies. I found this a comic twist on the original and found myself laughing page after page. Not a book for everyone though. If you don't find it humorous early on then don't continue because the same humor continues though the whole book.

I gave it one star because that's the lowest rating it will accept. I'm so glad I didn't spend money on this (my BFF is the one with buyers remorse this time!) though I will never get back the minutes spent reading this! I find it bordering on creepy that a grown man would spend that much time analyzing a girl's teen/young adult novel. BTW, there is actually a Denali, in Alaska. Haven't you ever heard of Moose Tracks ice cream? (If you haven't tried it, I'd highly recommend it!) It's loaded with Denali's famous moose tracks fudge. Named after Denali, Alaska. I think I remember reading somewhere that there's even a national park there. (I could be wrong about that, idk I didn't bother to look it up to verify facts, and apparently I'm not the only one!)

First off I would like to point out that parodies and fanfics (fan-written fictional stories using the characters from books/series/tv shows/movies etc) are COMPLETELY different. I could be wrong but I get the vibe that the majority of the people giving one star reviews are expecting a fanfic. I'm not saying this to because I think this is a good parody, I'm saying it because it's obvious in their reviews...
Overall the book was a very good parody using the alter egos of the characters in the Twilight saga. You can tell that the author has written the book for the Twilight fans (himself included) and not just for his own laughs. There's the sense that he's given some intelligence BACK to the reader that Stephenie Meyer has taken away. Yes, I understand vampires are fantasy characters and they can be sparkly and have rock skin in her dreams, but to say in one part that vampires are "locked" on their age in every way and later show how many higher-level scholastic achievements a vampire has attained totally conflicts. The author also pokes fun of the entire plot of the story and unravels it thread by thread! LOVE IT! The banter of Bella's first few days at school are retold quite hilariously, down to the bare bones of what was actually going on "I'm dangerous, stay away from me, come visit me and my family at our home". The timeline when and how everything took place is actually dissected for the reader and the reader comes to realize...that it was in fact an absurdly short amount of time.
I gave it four stars because the author goes into some long rants about Stephanie Meyer that doesn't fit well with the flow of the story and is actually distracting since it pulls the reader out of the story. The author is CLEVER and he writes well, better than Stephanie Meyer actually, so I felt that he could have presented that material better. There are some subtle things the author brings up and taunts, things you might not catch right away and makes you think back to the original book. This is where his cleverness comes in, no, this is not a book a second grader could write as one of the negative reviews said. If you want to find any joy in the book you have to actually read it, not just read it to "get through it". If you don't like it, stop reading it, but don't post reviews on a book you didn't even read completely. It takes a couple of chapters to get started, but it does take off and become very very very clever! I've read a few Twilight parodies, this is the best.

This supposed Edward's version of Twilight by Joseph Veillon was written in a belittling fashion of the original Twilight by S. Meyer. I really like Twilight and was just annoyed in reading this. I was glad I had only borrowed it from the Kindle lending library, rather than spending money for it.

Well, this was such a waste of my time and money.
I was looking forward to a good read because I quite enjoy parody stories about fanbooks. But this was just a big no-no. It felt a little childish, and trying too hard to be funny. I would advise against this.
Only if a "no star rating" was possible...

I chose this rating because I enjoyed reading it.
Its not like the regular book or movie because its a parody. I have to say;if the regular book wasn't so interesting, this one would have been better.
I loved this story.
The only thing that bothered me about this story is the tomato juice smell because I hate tomato juice lol but nice work.
They should make another like this

My girlfriend purchased this and read it aloud to me over the course of a month to help me sleep, but I couldn't! It was hilarious and very well written!
It seems like most of the people who left negative reviews are people that didn't read that this is a SPOOF or PARODY, and are rabid Twilight fans with no sense of humor. I think Twilight is alright in small doses myself, but this was just...too funny. It made me laugh so many times and cheered me up when I was feeling blah about things.
Good read, good purchase!
The tomato juice scent, lol...

This was not the best parody i have read, but when i saw how much hate this book had received, i thought i will show my support to the author :)
The book has its funny moments. Maybe it will be more understandable for those who have read twilight (i have only half-watched the 1st movie), but some parts made me laugh out loud.

I enjoy parodies because they are usually clever and well-written. "Usually"... being the key word here because that is not the case here. I tried to be fair. I didn't want to give up after the first chapter, but eventually I just couldn't go any farther. It was just too incredibly stupid. What a waste of my monthly library choice!

Do you know what really pisses me off? It's when grown men take all of their energy into making fun of something that clearly makes ladies happy.Nomatter how silly and improbable the plot of Twilight may be. Do men even realize how much bulls*** we girls have to endure for their collective benefit? Movies, for instance, that have crap plots, explosives, baddass warriors, and for no reason at all chicks in disgusting thong bikinis (or nothing) for that matter. Thats just a few discrepencies I will offer. Now Im am begging the next insecure jerk out there, if you feel like making fun of the girls in your life, just because they enjoyed an innocent book/movie, think about how everything else is geared toward your gender... than maybe you can give us a fricken break. thank you.

I'm a die hard twilight fan and this is just poking fun at someone else work and her books .I only got to the 3rd chapter and was really P.O. at the author. I have been married for 27 years and Twilight for me was not so much about Vampires and Werewolves but about relationships and family bonds as well as standing up for what you belive in. Stephine's Edward was not afraid to be in love and show the softer side of a creatures side. This authors was just insulting to any one who loves the story behind Twilight. Thank goodness I just barrowed this book and didn't spend hard earned money on someone making fun of someone else work. I understand that the author was trying to show discrepencies in the Twilight book but I think he got hung up to much in that and didn't look at the girl boy teenage relationships with in the book. Yea for an adult it may look silly and goofy but looking at my teenage daughter and remembering my feelings as a teenager Twilight is about that all consuming obsession with that special someone.

I wish I would have never purchased this book. I thought it was a real addition from the real author. I didn't get past the first chapter. the store should have made it clear. I wanted my money back.

So, the idea of a Twilight parody sounded interesting. Yes, I am a fan of the Twilight series, but I can also laugh along with my husband at its many flaws. This, however is not a lighthearted parody as it claims to be. I guess the author tried to follow the real Twilight book from "Edwards" perspective. However, he really should have some done research - read the book or at least watch the movie. The "Cullen" clan shouldn't be joking about beheading James at the beginning of the book when it hasn't even happened yet. I'm not sure exactly what the author is trying to do with the overly excessive descriptions of the characters. Yes, Robert Pattison makes some really funny expressions but the authors descriptions were not funny, just awkward. He was going for the "Scary Movie" type humor and failed miserably, IMO. I only downloaded the sample of the book and I barely made it through. This book is written from the male perspective (and we all know how highly they think of this series) so it is written to completely trash the book under the guise of being a "parody." Some guys might think this is funny - those who were dragged by their girlfriend/wife to see the movie and that don't really remember much other than it being a love story about "sparkly vampires."

I think this may be the worst book that I have ever read. I made it through chapter one...as painful as it was and gave up. The writing is horrible, the author is vulgar and it sounds like the ramblings of a teenager. DO NOT waste your time or money on this book.

This parody was hilarious, and spot on. Taking a look at just a few of the one star reviews, I got the impression that many twilight fans are simply not secure enough in themselves to be able to laugh at themselves and at the twilight books. Truly, life would be terribly dull if we cannot laugh at ourselves, and our little idiosyncrasies once in a while. I think the author did a good job.

The names of the characters change so very much it was hard to keep them straight in my head. In one instance the characters are from one place then the next minute they're from somewhere else.... A book that took me would normally have taken me two to three hours, took me six. I had to force myself to keep reading to get it over with!

I loved Breaking Dawn (the other 3, not so much). Needless to say that, when I found this, I was happier than a lizard with a dozen and one dead flies. The parody is flawless and, yes, it does have very corny parts in it, but (for me, at least) that was apart of its charm. There are no wasted words and no needless meandering. I recommend this book to anyone who either:

1.) hates the Twilight Saga

or

2.) likes the Twilight Saga, but can also take a step back and apply objective observation to the series

I found the first couple chapters mildly funny but after the rude commentary regarding Stephanie Meyer and her characters the book ceased to keep me entertained. I absolutely love the Twilight series not only for the love of the characters but also for Stephanie 's ability to bring her story to life. She is a wonderful author with originality. I cannot say the same for this poor excuse of a book not worth reading because it is insulting, not only to Stephanie but to true novelists like Stephanie.

This book was a hilarious parody of twilight that kept you laughing the whole way through, but when the author lists an adjective, he lists at least 5 others that mean the same thing. I like how he takes actual parts from the actual books and changes them a little. The best thing about this book is the comedy. This book also makes you realize how boring and unnatural Twilight really is

This is a story that keeps the laughs coming. As a dedicated Twilight fan, and as a person who loves the edward character, it was a refreshing change to see him with flaws and read that Bella had some kind of an attitude. It makes them more realistic. WAY TO GO!!

I was rather surprised. I really thought this book would be extremely lame like all those parody movies they are always making. However, this book was entertaining and the author did a great job keeping it interesting. My favorite parts were when he would mention Stephanie Meyers. Good read overall.

I only was able to read a short segment....it was not what I expected and just made me ache for Midnight Sun (Stephanie Meyer's unfinished version from Edward's point of view). I still wish Midnight Sun could be completed - it answered so many questions and filled in the blanks in Bella's version.

In other words - not worth my reading it.

Delivery time was pretty good but to be honest the book wasn't exactly how I thought it would be so there should be a write up saying that its really not Edwards version it's someone else pretending they were in the real book all round pretty stupid book. Read first 2 chapters n I don't want to read the rest.

Two thumbs up, a new point of view for Twilight fans.

Edward's Twilight tells the popular Twilight story through Edward's eyes in a humorous parody format. If you read and enjoyed the Twilight books and have a sense of humor, then I certainly recommend picking up a copy.

PS
I would not be swayed by the negative reviews written by so called "Twihards". This book is a parody, and a well written one at that. If you understand what a parody is and enjoy them, then you are in for a treat.

Finally, a parody that really "gets" Twilight. The banter between main charaters Edwin Dulen and Jezebella Penguin (Edward Cullen and Bella Swan) perfectly captures Twilight's flaws and makes them funny. It's the conversations between Edwin and Jezebella that realy make this book.

The author of Edward's Twilight skillfully uses Meyer's own characters to spoof Twilight and critique her writing. Stephenie Meyer is even in the book. This book plays very well off the events in Twilight. Clever and witty dialogue. Very good parody.

You totally took the copy that Stephenie wrote that was leaked onto the web, changed the names and put your name on it! This pisses me off so bad! I hoped that Stephenie would someday finish the book and publish it! It is her work, not yours! Why would someone do this? This isn't your story to tell! Now she is never going to want to finish it! She was upset as it is that someone leaked it! Thanks for ruining Edwards story!

Most of the negative comments on this book are because they did not actually read the description before purchasing it.

This novel is a PARODY - and a very good one. I am a Twilight fan, and I was even laughing through it all. This is NOT the leaked Midnight Sun, I don't know why someone would even think to make that connection. This follows the story/plotline that Stephenie Meyers created in Twilight, however it IS a parody and makes light-hearted fun at several shortcomings of the original novels (ones that ANYONE should be able to see).

Overall, whether you enjoyed Twilight or not, if you want a good laugh - I recommend this.
