Caught up from the first paragraph. Started to read on the way to work and had to make myself turn off the Kindle so that I didn't miss my stop. Katie was easy to sympathize with and feel her frustration. Looking for more stories that are rich and compelling from this author.

You can definitely tell the book was written by a man who seems to have an obsession about the main character's "boobs". As a woman I can honestly say that some of the silly comments and thoughts I've heard from men......not women. Men might enjoy his obsession but I certainly don't!
The wording is often awkward and distracting. The book is gets bogged down by details about things that don't contribute at all to the story.
I only got to chapter 5 before saying enough.
I do not recommend reading Sight Unseen.

Sight Unseen ended up being a heart pounder for me; I loved it.... when it finally got to what I was expecting it to be, of course. The story was kind of slow to the point; sort of predictable but also a few surprises. I really enjoyed it.

I just finished this book. It was awesome. Held my interest from page one till the terrific ending. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes ghost stories. I would read anything else written by this author.

There was nothing original in this story. Same old tried and true murder in an old house which is now haunted. The only thing different is that the heroine is a house flipper, and not a hapless new home owner. The writing is stilted and there are problems with grammar and spelling. Randomly, the viewpoint will change from one character to another for a paragraph and then flip back. Very disappointing.

Katie buys homes, fixes them and flips them for a profit. Her friend Mel finds her a great old house but Katie doesn't know that a family was murdered there. Everything keeps going wrong with the renovation and Katie is starting to question her sanity. I don't want to give up to much but I liked the book. I didn't really care for the ending but overall it's a good book.

I always enjoy a good haunted house story and Blackstone Manor was great. From the house to the characters the author sets a fast pace that kept me reading and guessing what might happen next. The ending was well done .The first book that I have read by this author, but it won't be the last.
Another great book provided by kindle unlimited subscription.

Really liked this book, read it in one setting, didn't finish until after dark and dared myself to go to the bathroom, turning the lights on all the way! One thing I did not like was women ( friends) casually calling one another bitches. Almost gave it a four for that. Other than that I would recommend it.

Excellent book! I love this author and appreciate his first book of this type. Very engaging and difficult to put down. So much different than his other types of writing and much enjoyed. Definitely give this book a try. I am hoping there will be more sometime soon!

I enjoyed the premise of this story. However the constant parts of the story where the wine flowed freely irritated me. I have nothing against wine, it seemed inappropriate at times the story was meant to be sad or frightening. Otherwise a good easy read.

“Sight Unseen” makes for the perfect summertime reading. It is not just another ghost or horror story, but an excellent mystery that keeps answering a reader’s burning questions while at the same time creating a whole new set of intriguing caches of curiosity with each new passing chapter.
This is a very readable book with chapters that are neither too long or too short, so they make perfect reading at the beach, or on a cruise, or anywhere on vacation, since most chapters can be read in 10 minutes or slightly less.
Once a reader quickly moves past the first three chapters, which do a very good job of building believable main characters and painting a proper scene for the setting in a highly realistic manner, the action begins and it’s time to slip on a talisman or other psychic article of protection.
At first, due to a busy schedule, my wife and I were reading two chapters a day, but by the time we read the tenth chapter, it was so hard to put the book down, we found ourselves reading six chapters at a time. In other words, at that stage of the book, we finished reading it in two days.
This is a story that would make a great movie so hopefully a talented producer and director will take the story up on that challenge in the future. What’s nice is that it is not an obscene book in any manner, but a good, clean, suspenseful story, and at times a terrifying read. In other words, it is a great read for all ages.
As a Ph.D. (with an emphasis in literacy), I would seriously consider using this novel in a high school English literature course. “Sight Unseen” represents a classic creative writing style with the beginning exposition that paints an excellent stage for the characters to act upon; rising action that truly continues to rise unwaveringly to the climax; a breathtaking turning point; falling action that doesn't mean a tapering off of the action or the mystery, but a wild ride to the end where the characters must make the right decisions or suffer tragically for their mistakes. Finally, a denouement that solves the mysteries in quite a satisfying manner and ends the story with an intriguing new dilemma to contemplate in the dead of the night.
Definitely a highly-recommended read that we give five stars. Kudos!
