Hold Still

Lisa hooked me again. I have waited very impatiently for Hold Still to hit the shelves. I was not disappointed. Lisa hooked me in the first chapter and I could not put it down. Her style of writing is exceptional and keeps you riveted to the pages. Every time I think I have it figured out, she throws me in a different direction and not until the last chapter do I finally get my answer. Her descriptions of places and events keeps my mind picturing what may be coming up next. It is like I am there watching from the sidelines.What an awesome writer. I cannot wait to see what she does in her next book.

This is a good story and police procedural with an interesting lead character. I'd like to read the next in the series, Cold Blooded, but probably won't because of the excessive use of foul language and unnecessary sex scenes. I would give this book a 4 stars for good writing and character development, but the language and sex take it down to a 3 for me.

This was a "good" book, which was disappointing because Finding Claire Fletcher was AMAZING. I hate to feel an author could be a one hit wonder, but Aberration was no more than an "okay" read.

SORT OF SPOILER ALERT...I was okay with this story line, although I felt it became repetitive, i.e. she said the same things about characters, family, herself, over and over..like OKAY I GOT IT THE FIRST TIME. AND it was even believable until the last part with her partner. AND it sure seemed like she rushed through the ending.

The sister connection and the daughter was not real either, so it became very hard to like this all the way through.

It had good characters, but IS ANYONE ELSE GETTING TIRED OF ALL FEMALE HEROINES BEING SO FRICKIN FLAWED?????

CAN'T WOMEN BE STRONG AND OKAY WITH THEIR LIVES WITH OR WITHOUT A MAN AND NOT BE OUT TO GET SOMEONE???

THAT IS GETTING OLD AUTHORS..

At any rate, I figured out the who dun it early on so I found that disappointing because I like it when there are twists or turns and you DO NOT KNOW from the beginning.

The plot was good, but honestly this could have been an AMAZING READ.

I read all three because of the first one....

This was just so-so

ALSO FYI THE WAY YOU THROUGH IN THE "C" WORD WASN'T NECESSARY...AGAIN, IT DID NOTHING TO ENHANCE THE STORY OR MAKE THE CHARACTER MORE BELIEVABLE....IT WAS JUST NOT NEEDED. IT IS PROBABLY THE MOST DEROGATORY WORD USED TO A WOMAN, SO I FIND THIS OFFENSIVE TO THROW INTO A BOOK. BITCH WORKS JUST FINE

At least this character was a bit more likable, BUT the end was pat and expected.
