Texas Book 1), My Viking Vampire (Sanctuary

A new author for me and an interesting new world. Sometimes the way the characters jumped back and forth was a little confusing, but all in all it was a fun read and I enjoyed the new world and the new characters.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Bailey was on the run from her abusive ex. Some strange things started happening around her. She meets Erick and he takes her away to place that is safe. He is a vampire. She ends up in a place called Sanctuary. She has a part to play in the grand scheme of things. She does end up with a HEA.

A very steamy read with a mix of supernatural creatures and magic. Something that stuck with me is the idea of self cleaning clothes that adjust to your body size! How cool is that? I think book idea is a good one but wished there was more story to it. I felt like there could have been so much more to learn.

This story has an incredible young woman made strong through the ordeals she's faced. The future she lives in is very different from what we know...fascinating! This is the first I've read of this series; it holds much promise for future books. I'm looking forward to seeing more of Sanctuary and it's residents!

I loved this book. It is interesting, exciting, and fun. It definitely kept my attention. Imagine finding out who someone was originally when you see how old they are. And they are hot to boot. I highly recommend it.

Looking back after reading it.. the best way to describe it is that it's the channel I would've settled on if there was nothing else on tv, if that makes sense. I don't regret reading it, but I wouldn't necessarily read it again, ever.

This was a fabulous book. Bailey is trying to live her life and stay hidden from her ex. Erick was a vampire trying to help her. But when you add the ex and a Djinn, plus a destiny no one saw coming... It leaves you with a book that has to be read. If you love paranormal you will love this book.

Mildly entertaining romance yarn, sorry the S&M just doesn't do it for me, and I wanted a story, not sex, sex, sex in between story. Kinda anticlimactic as to what happened to the main character's ex - ah, well, won't be reading any more of these.

I've never read anything by this author, honestly hadn't heard of them before. I grabbed this book on a whim after seeing an ad on fb. I'm so glad I did! I loved every second of this book! This author has a new fan. I'm going to grab the rest of this series soon!

I must say I was pleasantly surprised. Not my usual kind of reading, but enjoyed the author, topic, characters of Bailey and Erick! Interesting concept of the future and society. Learned a lot about vampires, pixies, and such. Fun, entertaining, erotic reading.

The book was delicious, I loved Erik and Bailey their chemistry was sizzling I couldn't put the book down. I enjoyed everything about it. I am looking forward to the second book it seems even more amazing from the extract. I highly recommend it , you won't be disappointed?

The heroine starts out independent in a world where that pretty much classifies her as a whore. She's been on the run from her abusive ex and now she finds herself being chased by something else. A sexy vamp steps in to protect her from the big bad jinn and sweeps her to a secret "no-humans allowed (unless you like the play in the castle)" town. The town welcomes her and she finds out that there are a lot of creatures in this world. Our protagonist finds herself facing a future she doesn't really want.

This book was a decent read. A little slow at times but I'm interested to see what happens next in Sanctuary.

Romance, suspense, adventure, and the supernatural with a slight twist. Good story plus wonderfully animated strong characters. Looking forward to reading next book in the series.
This was exactly the change in reading I needed. Love Vikings and supernatural. This has it all!

Just not the bondage and stuff. Great world created and I would be interested in seeing Sanctuary saved, but had to skip lots of explicit scenes. If this doesn't bother you, then a great read and storyline.

There is something about this book that will pull you in and leave you wanting more of Sanctuary. Can't wait to read the rest of the Sanctuary stories in the series. The reader has romance, action and paranormal rolled up in a great start to a series.

This was enjoyable and well-written. There was a pleasant mixture of plot, hot vampire and sweet but strong heroine to keep this author in mind. Sometimes just entertaining is enough and a great way to spend some relaxing time.

This is definitely worth it. It's a wonderful tantalizing story that wraps you up into their world and has strong believable characters that you can empathize with. It's an actual book not just a teaser of a story but it will tempt to read the rest of the series.

Bailey and Erick are awesome. This story has so much happening in it. It is very well written and grabs you up and holds on tight. A terrific start to a series I want to read more of.There is something for everybody in this book.

Enjoyed this group of characters. Sad at times, but strong female lead. Wanted to learn more of futures on character, but second book comes from different character view. So hesitant reading more of this series.

I really enjoyed this book. I have purchased the rest in her series. I was so intrigued by all the different supernatural characters. Then she puts a little romance in there too. Great books. They leave you wanting more.

So I liked the characters and the story but there is one part I just thought was silly and laughed at. The dialogue between the twins about certain things is just cheesy and doesn't go with the story.

It was different to read . It was great Bailey really needed Eric to help her get through the trauma she suffered and their interaction was fantastic and sexy. They heated up the pages will we get Rose story

After the first chapter you are hooked. You are enter into a world where its not safe to be different or a "other". Krystal Shannan takes you on a tale of a girl running for her life when she runs into her savior who just happens to be a viking vampire who likes his sex a little bit wild. Is it to much to ask for a girl to trust again...? You'll find out in this amazing read.

Great characters. Loved that every one was different and strong in their own way. Loved the world she set the story in, and how divided each state is on the others. Starting number 2 in the series!

I really enjoyed this book. It was my first book by this author but certainly not my last. The story was well told, the plot pulled me in and the interaction between main characters kept me reading into the night. The sex hot. I recommend this book. I am moving on to the Dragon Masters. I enjoy paranormal stories for the most part, but not really a fan of detailed sex romantic novels. I actually much prefer to use my own imagination rather than a blow-by-blow description of how hot the sex is between characters, so personally, this was a 3 star book. It bogged the story down for me, and I found myself skipping through repeated versions of "hot sex" just so I could finish the story. If you enjoy mild to medium erotica stories, you might try this one out. Certainly not as sophisticated as 50 Shades of Gray, but there were lots of side characters that added to the humor and suspense, and they kept me reading to the end.
I consider this an adult book, rated R, but not X. I will say that the author demonstrates an excellent knowledge of what a woman enjoys from her partner in a sexually intimate relationship. I enjoyed the growth of the heroine who overcame her tortuous past, but felt the falling into bed trust thing was waaaay too fast. I will probably purchase the next book to see what develops in these characters (other than the constant lusting after everyone in Sanctuary). Author has potential in this genre,

I likes this book however there were some portions of it that seemed forced. I usually enjoy erotic fiction and I love a good fantasy story. This book felt like two story meshed together, but they didn't mean as well as I would have liked. The fantasy story was gripping and exciting so much so that the erotic stuff seemed thrown in the middle and for me just detracted from the storyline I was trying to get lost in. It was great to read but I found myself wanting to skip the "scenes" just to get back the the story. Next time she should write two books one about dominance and submission and another about paranormal romance. Great storyline but I don't want to read another one if it's just going to be the same mishmash of erotica and paranormal.

Erick and Bailey story was amazing. A beautiful love story from inception, of meeting in the bus station. I was amazed at her strength and her willingness to fight, even after all she had been through... they were a perfect match.

I was captivated from the beginning. Bailey and Erick are perfect for each other. The chemistry is amazing but the story of overcoming the past and all your fears and scars, such an inspirational theme. I would recommend this book for sure and can't wait to start the next one.
