Another great crime story by Nesbo! If you like, "whodunit" crime stories, don't look any further! Although in few occasions weak plot, still unputdownable, gripping thriller, narrated in movie-like style! You won't miss with any of Nesbo's Harry Hole books, but this one is one of his best!
I've read many contemporary crime stories of different authors these days and Nesbo is level above them all!

Harry Hole proves, once again that he is the master murder detective still. Retired or not, he is the one everybody comes to when it hits the fan. Another one bites the dust . I recommend this book for a good read.

I have enjoyed the entirety of Nesbo's Harry Hole novels and this new one plumbed a new chapter in the detective's life. If you're new to Nesbo, start at the beginning. This is not the story in which to dive in. .

Jo Nesbo has done it again. Another well written and plotted thriller that will keep you enthralled until the very end, which you hope never comes. His ability to create a mood is unlike any other author today.
Can't wait for the next Harry Hole novel.

I love these Harry Hole books. Always lots of twists and turns and sometimes scares the c*** out of me but I keep on reading! It was also interesting because I visited Oslo last year & was able to imagine some places in the book.

Good and creepy, probably the most disturbing as a good thriller should be since The Snowman. Images that stick with you long after you finish it a satisfying resolution. Or is it a resolution....as always, Nesbo leaves readers wanting more from Harry Hole.

Mr Nesbo has, apparently, sold over 33 million books. It is easy to see why. His hero Harry Hole is a one of a kind detective: brilliant, dedicated and seriously flawed. The stories are fast paced, peopled by believable characters yet complex and real and definitely not for the squeamish.

Harry is enjoying his retirement teaching in the Police Academy when he is called back into the grisly murder of three women. Jo Nesbit is the perfect who done it writer. Very enjoyable page turner.

Harry Hole is the thinking man’s police detective, one who struggles to maintain family life balance, driven to solve murders while walking a self-aware alcoholic’s tightrope. The cast of supporting characters are top shelf as always and the amped up rock music references lend a welcome breather to the otherwise non-stop intensity.

I learned more about vampirism than I ever wanted to know! He does go on. I skipped pages which I never do in a Harry Hole novel. Disappointing and I do love the series. This is one to check out from the library.

Really enjoyed this book. Hard to put down and take a break. Full of twists and turns. A big cast of characters with some very interesting criminals. Harry is now a criminal lecturer but gets called back - one last time? - for a particularly nasty and seemingly crafty serial murderer.

Lots of back stabbing politicians, self serving police executives, and assorted women to make life extra miserable for Harry. In other words ... situation normal!!
