This book will get you laughing out loud. Carolla's razor sharp wit and engaging stories will have you reading this book in one long and fun reading. You won't be able to put it down. It deserves SIX stars. Also, I ordered it at the height of the Christmas rush, and received it in three days. SIX stars to the store for prompt service.

This book starts out strong about Adam Carolla's view on the political and social issues of the day. Then it dissolves into things that just bug him. The first part of the book is good. The second part not so good. I don't know if I would buy this again if I new this. Ughhhh...

Adam is hilarious, and proof that the are different types of genius. There are people who are great athletes, electricians, or a maestro with a transmission. They make the best EMT's and firemen. Our culture sadly overlooks them, or tut-tuts at their difficulty in reading.
Adam Carolla is a brilliant man, and listening or reading him, I hope most of all those some who will be parents will realize that their own kids can be encouraged to exercise whatever their particular kind of genius may be.

Much of this will be familiar territory. Funny and engaging, unless you disagree with the guy then I imagine this would be highly offensive and annoying! But then, why would you go to the trouble to find and buy the book right?
As a fan, I enjoyed it and look forward to his next book.

Get it on! Such an easy read, and multiple laughs. I recommend picking up not just this book, but the audio version of this book, as Adam narrates that, and doesn't fully follow the text. The man can riff.

Carolla writes economically and pungently; his frankness is refreshing and his references to male anatomy are frequent. His comments are often spot on and his humor is definitely not effete. I'm tempted to get the audiobook just to hear his delivery. Keep writing, Ace, and I'll keep buying.

Typical Carolla: Great anecdotes, easy to read, unforced humor. If you like his podcasts, then you'll enjoy this book. If you don't like his podcasts, then that's perfectly normal, perfectly healthy, too.

Typical Adam Carrola. Funny stories of how American society has changed over the last 50 years. Basically a lot of snippets of changing values. If you like Adam's other books or readio/webcast/tv shows you will like this.

This book was laugh out loud outrageous from the get go. That is, if you like smart alecky raucous humor from a middle aged curmudgeon. If you like George Carlin, you'll dig this guy.I kept reading excerpts to my wife until she had to tell me to shut up.

Anyone who listens to Ace's Podpast already knows of Adam's "hitting on the head" hyper-vigilance. This book puts into words the feelings that most of us have but do not have the articulate manner into doing so. I recommend this book to the millions of Adam's fan and to the millions more who should be. Get it on!

While I don't agree with everything he says, this was a funny book because it was so true. And that's the beauty of this country, I don't have to agree with everything and we can still have a good laugh.

I got the book after listening to the podcast and took it with me on vacation. That turned out to be a mistake, I finished it on the plane and didn't have anything else to read. I found it poiniant and funny. But then again, I am a middle-aged white guy....Not an angry one though.

In a world where expression is controlled by what is deemed socially acceptable, Carolla shines through with a glimmer of hope for our society as a whole. Adam's refreshing view on life and sensibility makes any smart and hardworking person beam with pride (and more importantly hope) as he or she turns the page. From his humble upbringing to his main-stem success on TV and radio, Adam stays true to his beliefs and sense of humor. To every person stuck at a bad job or beaten down by the riggers of dealing with self-important, rude, overzealous people that just don't "get it," Carolla makes life just a little more bearable knowing they will always have someone by their side. Thank you Adam.

Adam Carolla always delivers interesting insights and compelling arguments for what needs fixing in today's society. Anyone that can appreciate a full life makeover will appreciate Adam's journey from failure to success, and all he has learned along the way. His willingness to boldly discuss issues some of us don't dare talk about is one of his most endearing traits. I strongly recommend this book to anyone interested in learning a bit more about what Adam Carolla is all about, or for the diehard fan that wants a little piece of Adam to share with others.

Funniest book I've read in years. Carolla demonstrates that he's the best anti-PC comedian since George Carlin. This book helped get me through an overnight flight to Singapore. Carolla's funniest book, along with Not Taco Bell Material.

If you like Adam Carolla and his podcast, you will most appreciate this book. Some of the stories you may have already heard on his podcast, but all in all, this book is still a fun great read. Can be used as beer coaster too!

This audio version of Adam Carolla's great book (or a "book on cassette" as he keeps calling it) makes me feel that I have been ripped off by most authors who put out their stuff on audio. I had already read (and been impressed) by the printed version when a friend recommended the audio one. I am glad I took the advise to buy it. Not only is it the same insightful, no-nonsense, smart, hilarious commentary we've come to expect from Mr. Carolla, but is one of the best audio version of a book I have ever heard. Aside from all the riffing and digressing, he makes it sound much more like your cool friend, telling you a story over a beer.

I gave Adam's book 4 stars because objectively it's a very good book, but for me it was a bit of a disappointment. Being that the majority of those purchasing the book were going to be long time Adam/Loveline fans, I wish there had been more new material to appeal to that crowd. I didn't find there to be much in there that I hadn't heard several times before on the air.

Ace Carolla brought it with a great 1st book. Though we don't agree 100%, the ideas are sincere, the sense of humor is great and the read was easy. What more could you ask for when you want something to make you smile?

You know those reviews that you usually hit "dislike"? This is one of them. But, the book is very good. Not sure if its "laugh out loud" funny, but that's just me. Otherwise, a really enjoyable read. Now go ahead and hit that dislike button. I dare you.

If you like straight-shooting, honest talk, this book is for you. Not only is Adam funny, the points he makes are so spot-on, it's amazing. If you are the political correctness type, this one isn't for you.

I grew up listening to Adam Carolla in Los Angeles on KROQ. I always thought he was funny and had a quick wit. Later, during THE MAN SHOW we got to see more of his talents. I even rented THE HAMMER to get more Carolla.
This book was absolutely hilarious. Parts of it made me laugh so hard I cried. I love that fact that during each discussion there is one diatribe that is so over-the-top you can't help but burst into laughter.
I definitely recommend this book for the Average Guy. The guy that intuitively know peanut allergies are fake, knows how to change his car's oil, and needs a good laugh. I was also surprised by the conclusion which was unpredictably motivating.
I highly recommend this book.

Are you looking to date Adam Carolla someday and want to know all his likes and dislikes ahead of time? Do you listen to/watch one of his many shows yet somehow still can't get enough of his constant bitching? Then this is the book for you!! It's a combination of crying about his childhood and bitching about his rich white people problems like how difficult it is to own millions of dollars worth of classic cars and why your employees won't do what you tell them. Thankfully I didn't pay retail and happily gave it away when I was done!

I laughed and laughed and laughed. My husband would hear me and ask, "Are you reading that book again?" I'm a liberal hippie chick so you'd think I might find parts of it offensive, but I can always appreciate good humor. This is the funniest book I've read since Dave Barry Slept Here 20 years ago. This would make a great gift--I am going to buy it for my brother.

It is fun and interesting reading what Adam Carolla has been saying for years. I am a 25 year old woman and enjoyed his book immensely, I did glaze over a few sentences and pretended that they didn't hurt my feelings a little.
I left my copy on the coffee table and my brother in-law picked it up and started reading, he started laughing after a few pages. Needless to say I just ordered him a copy for Christmas. Soon he will be a Adam Carolla fan also.

Adam Corolla is right about a lot of things, although not about everything. He shows us how good common sense is not that common or people are just afraid to say something! This is a wakeup call if we don't want our society to end up with androgynous beings with no identity.

One of the funniest and most insightful books around. I was thinking it would be a joke book. While it made me laugh out loud at times, it has a great insight into the human condition as well as politics, life and relationships.
