The first and the second book were outstanding. This one however, was hard to finish. How long can you draw out the preparations for the feast? It was almost painful. After the feast the story gets better with a subtle ending, but nothing impressive. I'm disappointed because I truly thought the writer was going to give an impeccable story from beginning to end.

I love this whole series. I know that Banella had to learn her own lesson I just wish she hadn't gone so far the other way. I would have liked to have read more about their happiness than the small bit at the end.

I loved these books from start to finish. Even though you think you know the ending there is nothing derivative about the delivery. I love this series and have read them over and over. SPOILER If you loved the second book get ready for the manor and town in a whole new light.
Depravity: A Beastly Tale, Book 1 :: Shattered Glass :: Deceit: A Beastly Tale, Book 2 :: Dominated (The Enforcers) :: A Lady Emily Mystery (Lady Emily Mysteries) - Behind the Shattered Glass

Perfect ending to a series!!! The last book was a little depressing so I was really looking forward to this conclusion, and Miss Haag didn't disappoint! And I didn't have to wait too long for the sequel so another plus. I truly enjoyed reading this!

Excellent revision and retelling of the fairy tale. No similarity to the Disney version, filled with realistic characters and their insecurities. Liked the first book so much, I read second and third immediately after. Well done.

Did not disappoint !! All the classic aspects of my favorite fairy tale, but on a more adult level. Intriguing plot twists, and Haag makes you truly care about the story and characters there in. I read the trilogy, then immediately restarted from the beginning!

Could not put this series down. I LOVED Belle, hated her sisters, and had a love/hate relationship with the beast also. This is definitely an adult book. Don't let the fairy tale fool you. There is material for mature adults, if you are above 18, then I would suggest it.

Truly truly truly enjoyed this book! I could not put it down! If you love a good old fashioned romance this is it! I've read the series in one week and I'm so sad to see it end so quickly. Beautifully done and I look forward to the next story from an awesome mind ?

I loved the Era approximately 1800's early 1900's.
When seeing a bit of a woman's neck, ankles, was considered erotic, lol....
It was a complex story line. With a woman/Witch putting a curse on Beast and most of his servants, it also effected Beauty indirectly at first, than very directly as time passes, and beast decides he likes her ankles, lol, not ..that's just me ad libbing. He did like her because of her strong spirit at 1st, ha! Nothing to do with her long golden locks of hair that he can't seem to keep his hands out of. But let's face it. Things moved slow back then
You will love, love the teaching scenes, when beauty tells the beast, that women can't enjoy a man's touch, it's to vile. He asked her permission to show her that she could like it and will she let him demo straight?
Whoo hoo...he made a believer out of me. I didn't like that she forgot how much she liked that when he was changed back to a man? Yes she had reasons, but let's be real if she let a beast do it and it made her happy, why not a drop dead looking prince?
Over all I really enjoyed all books in story. And I paid for 2 of them. So enjoy those beastly lessons ?

The book is well written and kept my interest cover to cover. I think Benella could be a little annoying at times, but all people and characters have flaws. Story alone I give 4 stars. But as the ending to the series it deserves the 5. I would really be interested to see this series all from the beasts/Alec's perspective.

The whole series was an excellent retelling of Beauty and the Beast. A new take on the old classic with, as usual, the strong h and the H who had to learn to change. I like that the father was actually smart and loving and not the cause of the problem and that the enchantress was present in the story. I especially like that the h had lessons to learn, as well. Extremely well-written, pulled you in and made you feel what the characters were feeling. But what else would you expect from Melissa Haag?

Can't find the words to praise these books enough! Every book sucked me into a dark yet enchanting world of magic, love, and (like any true fairy tale) life lessons. Each book was delightfully well written and made me feel as if I was transported into the world M.J. Haag so beautifully created. I'm giving any details away. I will say this is a must read and you won't be disappointed! So READ THESE BOOKS NOW!!!

While my favorite book in the series was the first (Depravity), I enjoyed watching the transformation and development of Benella's character and that of the beast. He is perhaps one of my favorite beasts in all of the Beauty and the Beast re-tellings I have read (and I've read many). The writing was great, and the storyline was entertaining to follow.

I became addicted after reading the first book and did not stop till I finished all three. This is a perfectly written series based on Beauty and the Beast. I loved the characters and the lessons they all went through. You will not be disappointed with these books, totally worth the read.

I started the series last Wednesday, and finished it just now, at 2:30 in the morning Monday. The writing is so detailed and true, it sucked me in completely until I finished. Now I am bereft as I slowly return to reality. Do yourself a favor and read this series. You will most definitely enjoy it!
