I love this series. I think they are well written. The story lines are good. Read them in order. They don't have to be, but you get more background info that way. There are some typo's and grammatical errors which drives me crazy in any book! I thought that's what the editor was for. The hero's are of course all hot muscled guys, but it is fantasy right?

I initially gave this book `4 stars' because I am not usually a fan of the romance/suspense genre. However, I bought it because I can not resist a romance novel where the hero is a super sexy Navy SEAL whether it is a suspense novel or not. Plus, the cover of the book helped...I know, so not the reason to buy a book, but yes in this case I am guilty of the cliché, "Judging a Book by its cover." I was definitely surprised because I ended up liking this book far more than I thought I would. I actually ended up reading it again right before reading the second book in this series No Place to Run and I liked this book even more the second time around. I liked it enough to edit my review and give it another star :) I have to say while both books were great, I liked this one the best. Kudos to Maya Banks; you took a literature genre that I wasn't a true fan of and made me a fan after all. I highly recommend this book especially if you love romance/suspense...you will definitely love this novel.

I liked this book. The whole dynamics of the Kelly brothers and their business just really flowed for me. I think the hero acted realistically most of the time and I just wanted to reach in and smack him only once or twice. I also liked the heroine. She was the perfect match for the hero and I loved the way she interacted with his family.
Nice flowing action, no lulls, and a great new series for me to start in on!
Sweet Persuasion :: Colters' Daughter (Colters' Legacy Book 3) :: Brazen (Brazen & Reckless Duo Book 1) :: Giving In (The Surrender Trilogy) :: After the Storm (A KGI Novel)

I REALLY ENJOYED DARKEST HOUR.... I LOVE THE KGI SERIES. I READ SOFTLY AT SUNRISE AND SHADES OF GREY FIRST BEFORE I REALIZED IT WAS A SERIES SO NOW I BOUGHT THE SERIES AND AM GOING BACK IN THE ORDER IT SHOULD BE SO I REALLY ENJOYED HAVING THINGS IN ORDER. THEN YOU APPRECIATE WHAT HAPPENED INSTEAD OF BRUSHING OVER SOME STORY.

After reading the Sweet Series by Maya Banks, I jumped right in to the KGI books. I thought this one was great. I enjoy the KGI because they have action, sex, and over all good story lines. I would prefer this series over the Sweet Series!

I love Maya Banks! This series is a definite winner! She makes wondering characters you can truly get involved in and settings that keep the action moving. Sexy, alpha males who make you shiver just thinking about them!

I just finished this book, it is filled with lots of action, lots suspense, and lots of love . It is a must read for everyone that can't wait to turn the next page. I can't wait to read the next One in the series.

Some times you just need a break from paranormal romances. (Which I love.) These books catch your attention and hold it all the way through it. The men are hot and the women know how to handle them. No weak characters. Looking forward to the next book.

I really enjoyed the premise of this book. Banks really pulls the reader into the emotional maelstorm, and we empathize with both Ethan and Rachel. I liked all of the Kelly International books, but this may be my favorite.

A protective alpha hero and a vulnerable heroine will almost always work for me but this one had me crying off and on for almost the entire first half of the book. I loved it! There was just enough of a suspense plot to enhance the romance but the hero and heroine's relationship was front and center which is the perfect mix for me.

I consider myself a fan of Maya Banks but her books are hit and miss. This one was a total hit and probably my favorite book of hers she's written to date (I've read them all). Add in the sexy brothers with a military background and a strong sense of family and I can't wait to read more--I'm sold on this series.

Because Banks also writes erotic romance I think it's worth mentioning that this is not erotic romance. While the sexual language used was explicit the one or two love scenes were an integral part of the story and the emphasis was on the emotional intimacy.
