I was captivated and swept up in the romance of this love story. I had shoulder shaking sobs and then just so many heart-clenching moments...
Their love story was gorgeous....

I own this book on kindle, on audible and in paperback. It's a story not to be missed and one your heart will never forget!

All Maya Banks books make for great reading. this one is more of a gothic romance than the cover would suggest. (and more tame than others of her books). It is worth reading the first book in the series before as the story line is somewhat linked to events described in the prior book.

I wish this series could continue, I loved it. To have a man like Bowen to love you. Genevieve of clan McInnis was taken by Ian McHugh. When Bowen of clan Montgomery comes. To lay claim to McHugh keep he falls in love with the beautiful Genevieve McInnis but can he help her heal after being kept prisoner for a year and used in the most degrading ways by Ian McHugh. I recommend if you like Scottish lairds and the women they love please read this.

I loved the intrigue and that the men were willing to let there wives help and that they listened to there opinions. They didn't judge what happened to them and they loved their wives for themselves on not on beauty.

Genevieve & Bowen's story is awesome, with the right amount of danger, suspense, & plot that Ms Banks knows how to mix to create a great book. I'm waiting anxioustly for the next book in the series :)

I so COMPLETELY wish that when the book description mentioned the heroine's "unusual" beauty", it would also have mentioned, (SPOILER ALERT TO FOLLOW): that said beauty included a scarred face.

I read these type of books to escape reality, and in my "fantasy world" I do not want to read about a physically scarred heroine, it is just not my thing. I understand that others might like this theme, but I do believe that the potential buyer should be given fair warning as to what the story is about, in this case it is about: Beauty & The Beast in Reverse. Reverse been the operative word
