Very accessible stories that will remind you of your parents' advice and/or a Biblical proverb! This book is not only a productive way to pass the time, but also an interesting way to examine your opinions and attitudes about a variety of subjects.

To be clear, the paperback version does NOT have illustrations (although, apparently, the Kindle version does). This book is one of the larger collections of Aesop's fables available, but without any illustrations, I would recommend to buy a different one.

i love getting to share old stories with my daughter and she enjoys the antics of the animals in these classic tales. They go everywhere with me as I always have my Kindle so we always have stories to read during down time.
The Children's Book of Virtues :: Fables: The Deluxe Edition Book Three :: A twisted thriller you won’t be able to put down (A Detective Porter novel) :: Barefoot: A Novel :: Fables: The Deluxe Edition Book Seven

Classic! Fast read good lessons. However, there were some punctuation and spelling errors. It is funny though how many of the aphorisms at the end of each fable are sayings we take for granted, and remarkable that they are still in use.

I have always loved reading stories with morals as they are entertaining and have good life lessons. I also enjoy Aesops tales. They did a good job with this book as they ha many of his tales that I knew and some that I didn't. A good read.

These fables seem deceivingly simple, but of course, they originated from an oral history with the object of teaching a lesson. I started reading them as something light, but the truisms of human nature still apply today. I rank this with "The Prince" and "The Art of War" if you work in a competitive environment. And, let's face it, we ALL work in a competitive environment. Be better-read than your competition!
