I have really enjoyed following Sue Grafton's ABC (Kinsey Milhone) mystery series. I am a bit behind and recently finished reading "U is for Undertow." I found it to be the best one so far. Ms. Grafton managed several story lines that bit by bit came together to a wonderful conclusion to several mysteries at once. I truly couldn't put it down!

I love the way Sue Grafton writes - and I greatly enjoy her Kinsey Milhone mysteries. I hate that the end of the alphabet is approaching. I've read every one in this series and will greatly miss it. I do hope Sue Grafton continues the Kinsey Milhone character somehow.

I have read all Sue Grafton's Kinsey Millhone mysteries up through U. As soon as possible, I will be purchasing V. I love these books, and love that I can get them on my Kindle. These books are easy to read, great storylines, the best.

I'm enjoying reading U for Undertow presently. It takes you places present and past, to diffrent times when things were so
ruled and judged so uniquely compared to todays' norms. I'm enjoying the detective and how she can take shreds of time and weave
the truth out the small of details. A good read, not a disappointment.

In 1988 private investigator Kinsey Millhone reluctantly agrees to look into the claims of Michael Sutton. He insists he has regained a suppressed childhood memory of observing several men bury a package soon after four-year-old Mary Claire Fitzhugh vanished without a trace in 1972. She agrees to work the case one day at a time with her reevaluating at the end of each day whether the request is legitimate for her to continue searching for who killed Mary Claire Fitzhugh. Kinsey learns her her newest client is unreliable as he has told fabrications often times before and was only six years old at the time of the incident he claims to have witnessed. Still she accepts he believes what he said is true so she must connect the dots of his rambling convoluted account and look at the scene where he claims the corpse is buried. I agree that this isn't Sue's best work. I too missed the Kinsey of earlier books. A good read, not great. A little slow in places. Still worth the effort to read.

I like Kinsey and appreciate the attention to detail, but I did skimmer a lot of extraneous plot points.....like the whole "Grand" thing..to get to the real story...what happened to little Mary Claire? and where did I find out?

Interesting writing. Love the series. To bad the alphabet isn't 100 letters. Recommend even to someone that never read sue graftin. Don't have to read the other books to read. Each letter is their own story, very little reference to prior stories. Enjoy.

There's something comforting about listening to Judy Kaye as Kinsey Milhone.
And Sue Grafton just gets better and better as she writes. Kinsey is maturing nicely. Every book is like catching up with an old friend. And the mystery is good too with enough twists and turns to keep you wondering. Really enjoyable.

I love Sue Grafton and reread her entire series prior to purchasing this 21st
installment. I still love her but she overdid it with too much irrelevant pulp
this time 'round.

We can only hope that in "V" she will give us a real bang-up thriller with one of
her classic 'whodunits'!!!

I love this character and especially including her landlord - Henry into the stories. Kinsey has such spunk. I love how she figures out all the pieces of the "puzzle" and you're right there with her trying to figure it out yourself as you read along. Thanks once again for coming through with another part of the alphabet. I am worried what will become of her after "Z" though.

I have been making some poor reading choices lately. Then I remembered I still had some some Kinsey Millhone books to read. I was only 11 when the first alphabet book was published, but I have been reading this series on and off for over 20 years and have yet to be disappointed!

Not true crime? I just know Kinsey Millhone and Henry her landlord have to be real people somewhere! I have read all the books in this series, and am waiting for "Y" and "Z" to be written. The maybe "AA" and so on ...

Enjoyed getting back into the Millhone Mysteries, it's been a while and this book didn't disappoint. Sue Grafton has a way of keeping your attention even when you 'think' you know where the story is heading. Love her neighborhood restaurant and landlord.

This series of books are spectacular. The suspense is woven so magically that you can't put them down. The characters are so real that they take you on their adventure as if you were there yourself.

Another fine read by Sue Grafton. In my family the saying is "if you are going to order things online, compare at the store.com first". Always fine service and lots of ways to save on postage. Notification of each step has meant that I have never had to query any item shipped.
