Wow, I liked the introductions to characters during the telling of the plot. Don't like the description of the actual intercourse section about sex, always preferred the imagining of what was to come, but it did keep me guessing to the very end.

The whole series is Excellent! This one in particular, and all of the bad people experience their comeuppance, in a satisfying way. This is a very complex story because of the large number of people, but the search function in Kindle really helps keep track of who's who.

I am longtime fan of Sue Grafton's Alphabet Murder series. The heroine, Kinsey Milhone, is an old friend. Kinsey is like a girlfriend in high school that I lost track of as the years passed. But this girlfriend, Kinsey, is as close as my bookshelf and we never lose touch.............................

I really enjoyed this story, but the ending was VERY disappointing. The author did not explain the motive or means of the killer at all. She expected us to connect dots that were not laid out well. One more flashback chapter from the killer was needed. I was so frustrated I went to the web and found MANY others similarly frustrated.

Within the tight little world of Kinsey Millhone, Sue Grafton has continued to develop new methods of intriguing writing to keep the reader coming back for more. This time, interspersing third-person flashbacks through other characters' view points during the development of the crime brings the "backstory" to the forefront and makes for a fast-paced and fascinating yarn.

The story is great, but the cursing was totally unnecessary for such a gifted writer. It was a big turn off for me, but if that doesn't bother you, and you enjoy a good mystery without a lot of blood and guts, this is a great one.

This was a different way of writing for Grafton....but I liked the story ...Her novels always keep me guessing. There were so many suspects...I was completely surprised by the ending...another great read

This is another in Sue Grafton's dependable series about Lindsey Milhone and her circle of friends. A good, interesting read. Especially toward the end, I totally don't want to put it down. I recommend the whole series.

In her usual fashion, Sue Grafton has too many sub plots that deter from the excitement of her basic focus. I wish she wold forget about Kinsey's sex life and all of Henry's relatives and their foibles.

I am going through the alphabet reading all her books. I really liked this one. It is one of the best she has written.. The girl the case centered around was very interesting. The plot took several twists which kept me reading. Enjoyed her new romantic involvement. Love the way Kinsey thinks.

From the first chapter the reader moves along with Kinsey Milhone through Santa Teresa, easily keeping pace among characters who are familiar and enjoyable. The roller coaster plot gains speed and putting this book down becomes an act of will.

Grafton is a welcomed read, a sigh between a variety of other genres and styles. This is a solid Grafton. She uses some familiar devices and mentions her underpants at least 3x - I felt right at home. It keeps you engaged, she's a talented writer - I needed a Grafton and liked S a lot.

I'm reading the entire series for the second time. I enjoy the developing character of Kinsey. I'm waiting to see where the family dynamic is going. I'd like to see Kinsey reconcile with her Grand, and the cousins.
