ARC - I voluntarily offered to review this book with no obligations and my opinions are hones
Roxie loved Kian, but was afraid, so she ran.
Kian loved Roxie, and could not understand why she ran.
Now a child bring them together.
Will they really give this second change a go ?
I loved the storytelling + the characters
The storytelling + the character's build were awesome!

And when Kian and Roxie unexpectedly meet again after four years, their lives are in turmoil. This is an emotional love story with heartache, secrets, passion, danger and second chances. Kian and Roxie's story really pulls you into their lives. It's a compelling start to this series.

I’m only giving 4 stars because even though the story way good I really really disliked Roxanne and she just frustrated me .. I’ve read all the Anderson books and the sub series and never wanted to stop reading..that never happens with Melody’s books ever.
Betrayed: Forbidden Series - Book Three :: Book One) (Rise of the Dark Angel 1) - Dusk (Midnight Series :: The Billionaire's Final Stand (The Andersons - Book 7) :: The Billionaire's Marriage Proposal (The Andersons :: Priceless Treasure (The Andersons Book 11)

Kian and Roxie had great chemistry in this second chance romance. I had no issues with the child being from a one night stand with Roxie’s sister. The note from her sister to me was enough to move on and Roxie had her own issues wanting to escape the small town. We are all young and make mistakes in life – forgiveness if part of life.

This story had all the usual wonderful elements of a Melody Anne romance novel. Plenty of angst, tension, attraction, and drama but also adding in the beautiful character of Lily.

From the first few chapters, I was enjoying this story. Whilst it kept me entertained I thought the pace slowed in the middle. The ending felt slightly rushed for me and it is a very simple and sweet at times romance.

Lily was a beautiful character who provided the endearing moments that melted Roxie’s resolve to stay away from Kian.

My favourite moment was when Kian finally enabled Roxie to realise she loved him and it was okay to put faith in someone.

Kian is finished at a happy moment along with the fact there are still three more sons in this family to find love, with the help of their matchmaking father.

I was given this book for an honest review by Wicked Reads.

I really wanted to love this story. The premise had me so excited. However, when I began reading, right off the bat, I was disheartened by Kian's role and his aloofness to his own child. You're thrown in to the situation without a warning and then thrust into a love story. There was really no build up and no segue to get to the love story.

Once we were in to the love story, then it became more about Kian and Roxie figuring out if they had their chance and it was too late or if they were both willing to take another chance.

I really liked how Kian's family was involved in the story. They were supportive without being overly intrusive.

I thought that there was a lot of angst throughout between Roxie and Kian. They seemed stunted in the development with each other - very juvenile.

Overall, it was an OK story with a lot going on. However, I think it would have been more powerful had the main characters been less juvenile about their situation.

I was very disappointed in this book. I read the whole thing, but I hated it. I'm giving it 2 stars instead of just one because I loved Kian, but I absolutely hated Roxie. And, that didn't change for the whole book. She was such a selfish person & whine. And, her so called "problems" I was unable to relate to or even sympathize with. I sure hope the next books in this series are better. I will certainly give the next one (Arden) a try. Simply because I have always liked Melody Anne's other books and I loved her "Billionaire Aviators" series.

Sorry, but this book just didn't make it for me. :-(

Book 1 of the Undercover Billionaire series. Simply delightful. Great characters that reach out and grab you. Gut wrenching drama. And yes get your tissues ready for the tears. Passionate and angsty. Can't wait for the next installment.

I always look forward to reading a Melody Anne novel. Her stories are profound, her characters relatable and the romances turbulent, to say the least. With Kian, she pulled a fast one on me. I went into the experience thinking: "How am I supposed to enjoy a story where I don't like the characters very much?" and came out reminded of what a talent this author really is. She has to be in order to get me to love any type of story with medical terminology. Kian and Roxie have a past that has stalked them into their present day life. When tragedy reunites them, secrets are exposed, hurts are revealed and passions reawakened. What happens when the passion of the past becomes the storm of the future? Kian and Roxie were a work in progress that painstakingly turned heartache into a lesson in forgiveness. Bravo, Ms. Anne!

Good first book in this new series. Kian and Roxie must come to terms with their love and past to raise a precious child .

Ebook from netgalley and publishers with thanks. Opinions are entirely my own.

Kian was good but Roxie was just terrible. She was flat out mean and what right does she have to assume she should just be able to take the little girl and raise her? Kian is her father!! She makes no sense whatsoever and I can't stand women who are so overdramatic and selfish. This book is embarrassing to read as a strong, sensible female.

As always Melody Anne has given her readers another fabulous book. It was the perfect medicine to help me recover from the flu. Only five stars would do. I am ready for the next Forbes.

I have always loved Melody Anne’s books. But this one I didn’t care for. I loved Kian but Roxey was really messed up. I caught myself saying “this again”. I even fast forwarded through parts of it because I was sick of her.

As I said I didn’t care for this book but I would keep reading her. She is an amazing author.

There was too much stuff and no real substance. The first chspter was good. The res was just too much of what the characters think and not much dialog . plus the sister is murdered and the is no talk of what happened or if there is even an investigation until much too far into the book.

Roxie acts like a selfish child and it is difficult for me to read her emotions and not get angry at her desire to always run away. Kian saves this book, but I want to be angry with him for putting up with Roxie's silly behavior.

I've read previous books from this author and loved it, so I was really excited to read Kian. Unfortunately, this book was not one for me. The beginning of the book was good and had me hooked but that changed quickly with the main heroine Roxie. I could not connect with her and it seems as if the whole time she cried "poor me." She did more crying than her 3 year old niece who I felt she had no connection with at all. Roxie was childish, selfish and stubborn. I truly disliked her. I liked Kian. He was more than considerate when it came to Roxie and their situation. I enjoyed reading his moments with Lily no matter how small or short those moments were, but that wasn't enough to make me enjoy this book. I really wanted to like this story but it's hard to like a story when you can't connect with the characters and you feel that everything that is going on has such "fakeness" to it. Some parts were so unbelievable and I just couldn't.
