Absolutely fantastic way to end a much loved series. It ties up all the loose ends. It’s entertaining and it keeps your interest. Best of all she gives us a present at end. Thanks for the ride. I can’t wait to see what’s in store for us in the next book series. Well done Heather well done.

This book does a pretty good job of wrapping up the loose ends of The Kings books. All of HKW's books make me want more, more, more of these characters. If you haven't checked out The Lost Angels books or The Big Bad Wolf series, you're missing out.

This was the last book in a series I truly enjoyed reading. The author has a way with words that makes you feel like your there. Though I will miss the Kings , I look forward to the next journey in Monsters.

I loved this book. I didn’t want to start it because I knew this was the end. Heather thank you so much for wonderful reads. Cannot wait till the “Monsters”. I will have to re-read the series. More book soon please.

I loved all of the King books but this one just didn't do it for me.
The story was too confusing although it was written so that you could follow it I felt like there was just too much going on with the back and forth and how the Time King had to protect the 12 Queens in order to defeat their enemies.
The ending of the two Nomads was a very weak one and I couldn't wrap my head around if these beings are so powerful how could they go out in such a puff of an ending.
Well enough said I don't want to give away too much just can't give this novel a 4 star because it just didn't flow in my opinion.

Looking forward to the Monster series and I hope that Ms. Kilough-Walden will not disappoint her true fans!

As usual Heather did a magnificent job on writing this book. As a series ending book, she definitely tied up all the remaining questions we might have had. I've said it before and I'll say it again, I think Heather is one of the best authors I have ever read. And I have read a lot of books in my 61 years. Personally, I think her writing is as good as if not better than some of the mainstream writers out there. If she wrote crime fiction or just plain romance, I think she would be a #1 bestselling author. I believe she has a loyal following of fans, but would have a much larger base if she wrote in other genres. But you also need to write what you like best. And in the paranormal realm, she is the best. I look forward to reading the next series of Heather's. I'm sure it will be as good as all the rest of them.

I gave this book 3 stars because this book was all over the place. I mean this book was very hard to read. I get that it is the final book but I can truly say it was my least favorite. I am glad however that the series has another story coming out of it. I have read the Big Bad series before this one and I don't see any reason to not read the next. All in all I am sad that it's over though because I did love the series.

The love story between the Time King and his queen has a heartbreaking, but fascinating premise. Their story begins during the influenza epidemic of October 1918, as hundreds-of-thousands of people are dying from the Spanish Flu. William and Helena are a newly engaged couple, but are in the midst of what we learn is one of the thousands of incarnations of their romance: Helena, the Lord of Time's great love, has been destined to die and be reborn continuously for thousands of years. She is one of two sides of Fate, and is intended as a gift for its other side, Death, personified by Julian Cain. Helena embodies Hope, the positive outcome, the happy ending, and Julian, searches for her feverishly, “dogging her heels.” She is his other half and will make him whole. But it is William that Helena falls in love with in each new life, and he is devastated as she is taken from him again and again. He knows that she will be back, but that he will be destined to repeat the anguish. For each rebirth of Helena “William found her and fell in love all over again.” Suddenly, William is offered a chance at blessed forgetfulness and he chooses to accept it. (Fate versus Choice is a a constant them of this story.) There begins the story of Will, which moves us into the modern era. Meanwhile, back at the Kings’ table, the disappearance of the twelve queens has thrown their kings into morbid chaos. The kings are despondent over the loss of their queens: “The twelve of them were Pan’s boys, every one without his Wendy.” Roman D'Angelo, the Vampire King, himself lost without his Evie, throws himself into the task of attempting to recover the queens and bring them back home. Nonstop action follows all of this, culminating in an ending conflict that only HKW could write. As always, I am amazed at the depth Heather instills in each of her characters, even the secondary ones. This, along with the beautiful prose and prolific style she brings to each novel she creates, makes her my favorite contemporary author. The Time King is a thorough ending to the Kings’ series. Not only do readers get all of their questions answered from the twelve earlier books, but William Balthazar Solan and Helena Bonaventure Dawn, may have the greatest love story of all.

As expected this chess game was won not from one but thirteen Queens... But even if I knew it from book 1, I still enjoyed the description of these wonder worlds in the Multiverse that Heather Killough Walden created for us. I do not want to say anything about the story other than the heroes are typical Heather; men with green or blue eyes and dark hair, redheads with temper and weird colored eyes her heroins, all of them passionate and irrevocably in love with their destined soulmate.
The only thing that I have to underline is an excessive and not quite right use of the world miasma that is repeated nine times in the book or as much as tomatoes in Italian kitchen. Other than that, the king of time and his queen deliver the closure we were waiting for and made the introduction of a very hot monster biker...

I have read all of the king books as soon as they were released, and loved them. But honestly I struggled to finish this one. I found it to just go on and on and on without much true action. That’s just my opinion though. I might still read Monsters!

The Time King:The kings series book 13 by Heather Killough-Walden is a 5 star read.
Heather has done it again, this book was brilliant, differently written to the other books but no less exciting. I’m sad that this is the last of the kings to get their story but excited for what’s to come next.

I struggled to read to get past the first few chaptrs. Then I skimmed through the next, till finally bypassed multiple chapters. I think it's safe to what that HKW should stop writing this series now. This book was painful. Way too many characters, unrealistic scenes, failed attempts at humor. Awful end. Waste of my money.

Thirteen books into this you know she has to write the end. And I can’t imagine trying to write this book. Because it was a hard read. There is sooooo much going on. That had to happen. Don’t miss a word. The author did a great job bringing it all together even though my brain is hurting. Xoxo
