In the beginning, revenge motivated the hero. While that made him hard and cold and not at all sympathetic, he metamorphosed into a redeemed man. All that was not without a price. The heroine was larger than life and more than remarkable. A worthwhile read.

I really loved Sir Bryce and Lady Catrina's story. It is a story that can be read as a stand alone but reading the first books really give you the sense of the story. I really liked the relationship between the Bryce and Catrina. I can't wait for more books in the series
A Medieval Romance (Age of Faith Book 1) - THE UNVEILING :: Book One of The Mackintoshes and McLarens - Ian's Rose :: Wild Angel (The O'Byrne Brides Series Book 1) :: The Bride and the Brute :: Highlander's Castle (Highlander Heat Book 1)

Enjoyed this book very much. Having read the Prequel Novella and Book 1 in the series it was nice to discover what happened to the angry, rash young man with a thirst for revenge. Definitely recommend Cecilia Mecca's novels, she's one of my favorites.

Excitement & romance aplenty. This book moves a long at a fast pace and holds your attention from word one. Compelling characters and story of love that overcomes the odds.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

I really enjoyed this story. It was different. From many of The Highlander books. It was a fresh style of writing. Also the love scenes were not so explicit (good). I am anxious to read the next book in the series.

A prisoner who has to remind herself of her place. A captor who is an unlikely jailor. This one works because the author knows just where to draw the line. Great characters, wonderful scenery. Can't wait for more in this series.

Medieval, castles, Kings, Queens and Knights, I love these types of romance books. I've been struggling to find something good that wasn't too over the top but also more mature than teen romance. Loved all of this book

Absolutely loved this book. It took 2 days to read because I had trouble putting it down. Catrina kerr character is strong and always has her family's best interest in mind. Bryce is set on revenge against the Kerr clan but Catrina slowly worms her way into his heart despite his best efforts against his feelings. I would recommend this book, and can't wait to read more by cecelia mecca.

Another fabulous book in the border series that had me hooked from page one. The many times I wanted to yell for Bryce or Catrina to finally tell each other how they felt, kept me intrigued to read the next chapter, and the next, and so on. I really felt my heart racing many times in this book.

Bryce lost his parents during a take over by clan Kerr, because of this he wanted revenge. Catrina Kerr, was close to death when she was found by Bryce's men.
This was an interesting story. The plot was excellent, consistent and moved well. The characters were humorous, the men were strong and intimidating. The women were gentle, kind and completed the men. I enjoyed when she swore, she always invoked the poor priest's name, he would have her doing penance the rest of her life. There are some very racy parts, so definitely an adult audience. I have found Ms. Mecca, has an extraordinary talent, so gifted and her books are always a treat. I loved this and highly recommend it.

This was a truly enjoyable romance and I absolutely loved both Bryce and Catrina. Bryce wanted revenge on Catrina's family for the loss of his parents during the battle for his home and Bryce's need for revenge was very strong making it a huge obstacle to their relationship. Catrina definitely had a hard road to get past Bryce's need for revenge. This is one book that I highly recommend.

The Lords Captive Border Series Book Two
By Cecilia Mecca
Northumbria England 1271
Sir Bryce Waryn a seasoned warrior known as The Slayer for his skill not only on the field but with the ladies as well. With the help of his brother and uncle he's reclaimed their home Bristol Manor. Now that his brother has bequeathed the title over to him, he will do all in his power to make him proud. Five years he's sought his revenge, after the hateful Toren Kerr invaded his home and murdered his parents- now it was time to rebuild and strengthen his place as rightful owner. But unbeknownst to him there's one Kerr member that will be his downfall -Catrina Kerr and The Slayer will be slayed!
After the English raided her home Catrina was found unconscious and left near death she awakens in her old room, with the new lord in residence. Catrina is now a pawn to Lord Bryce Waryn. She will be used to bring her clans and brothers downfall and that she can't allow no matter how Bryce makes her feel. She needs to escape but that's proving harder and harder-the more time she spends with him she looses a piece of her heart.
Can Bryce let go of his quest for vengeance before he loses the woman he loves? Will Catrina forgive him for wanting to see her brothers dead and using her as a means to their destruction?
A truly well researched story, the characters are well developed and the storyline flows well with lots of twists that will keep one turning the pages. The reader will fall in love with Catrina she's a strong willed slightly foul mouthed heroine although she tries to curb her tongue. Bryce is a man bound by honour and determined to avenge his parents but the passion he feels for Catrina has him at odds with himself. It truly takes a man in love to admit defeat and ask for forgiveness. Bryce and Catrina rocked this story!
Well done and highly recommend Cecilia Mecca to lovers of medieval romance.
Can't wait to read Toren's story.
