This is overall a good historical romance. However, it's just way too short. It list as being 222 pages, but over half of those pages are previews of other books. I can't complain too much since it was free, but I would have liked to have more actual story.

I liked this book, the characters were interesting...plot was believeable...story moved, yet was descriptive enough to entertain. I actually like the heroine in this romance, normally I have a point where I want to strangle them soundly. This is worth your time.

Great story, well written, but extremely shorter than presented in the description and the index. Only 40 percent was the actual story. The rest was excerpts of other books she's written. I would have been very upset if I had purchased this book. Janice Mote
Heart Of A Highlander (Lairds of Dunkeld Series) (A Medieval Scottish Romance Story) :: The Viscount’s Mistress :: A Medieval Romance (The Sword of Glastonbury Series Book 1) :: Beauty and the Beast Retold (Romance a Medieval Fairytale Book 1) :: Wild Angel (The O'Byrne Brides Series Book 1)

It was a good story, a rollercoaster of emotions, nice and strong characters, however, it was just too short. I think the end was somehow what??? She should have written this one as a full length book. I still enjoyed reading it though.

My kindle said the story was only 36% completed when the story ended and the rest was filled with pictures of the covers and first chapters of the author's other books. The story was god but ended abruptly and could have been so much more.

It starts out very promising, two people forced to marry, husband upset, wife trying to make a marriage work, and it quickly turns into two people out of nowhere admitting their love and then it's over. What?
Such a promising start and unbelievable and disappointing finish.
There are several other short stories in this book. I guess they are samples or maybe more disappointing underwritten short stories? I don't know because I was too disappointed to read anymore. I feel like I was robbed!

Totally recommend this book. It made me want to read more historical romance books. I searched but have not seen any like this. This is really nice. He was really a brute and she was really sweet. I love it.

I started reading the book and I loved the characters and the plot, but then the book ended abruptly (SMH)
Not sure what happened, but Laurel you do have potential and I hope to read future books written by you.

Loved the characters, loved the storyline and was moved to tears on more than one occasion. I did find the ending a little abrupt but this is a novella so I wasn't too surprised. I just think it could've gone on for one or two more chapters after...well, after the last scene. Or possibly to extend it. But I thoroughly enjoy reading it! :D

A good, short, medieval romance with plenty of emotion!
